Quinn was lying on her bed, staring at her ceiling with a smile. Stefan Salvatore kissed her, and she loved every moment of it.
Her phone suddenly vibrated next to her. She groaned and looked at the screen. "Noah Puckerman" was printed across of it. This is weird Quinn thought. She took a deep breath and answered it.
"Hello?"
"Quinn, hi!"
"Hi to you too Puck."
"So how are you?"
"I'm fine, thanks." Cut to the chase Puckerman she thought.
"So Magical Falls-"
"Mystic Falls"
"Yeah, Mystic Falls, how is it?"
"It's great, real great."
Puck laughed. "You sure, Q?"
"Yes I'm sure, Puck. Now enlighten me, why are you calling?"
"Now, I can't talk to my baby mama now?"
Baby mama. "Don't call me that"
"Why not? It is true-"
"Look, I know Shelby's there with her" with my daughter.
She could hear Puck taking a deep breath before replying. "She looks exactly like you, Q. The blonde hair, the hazel eyes, she even has the samle-"
"Stop it. I get. My daughter looks like me. Big deal." My daughter whom I could never ever raise.
"You don't have to be so bitter, Q"
"I am most certainly not bitter."
"Really? You just snapped me twice"
"Oh wow, I thought you didn't notice" Quinn said sarcastically, rolling her eyes.
"Look Quinn, it was your choice to give her up. You wanted her to have a better family and now she has one."
Quinn was silent. She didn't know what to reply. Yes, it was her choice to give Beth up. She wanted Beth to be raised by better parents than her and Puck. Also, she was only sixteen years old. She couldn't raise a child. She knows it was the right decision. But sometimes, Quinn always regretted giving Beth up, the only perfect thing she had in her life.
"Quinn?"
"Yes, yes. I know. It was the right thing to do. But you don't know how I feel, Puck. I carried her in me for nine months, almost died giving birth to her. You don't get the emotional bond I have with Beth. A mother's bond. But now I can't even meet her."
"Well not really. Shelby has let me babysit Beth a couple of times. She doesn't mind if we want to maintain a relationship with her. Heck, she encourages it."
"Well I'm not exactly within earshot now am I? I live 500 miles away now."
"Maybe you should come and visit. Not only Beth, but also the rest of us."
"I'm not sure about that."
"Try, at least. Hey, Q, I've gotta go now. Talk later?"
No we won't talk later. "Fine. Tell them I say hi." she said. "Tell Beth too" she added.
Quinn ended the call and sighed. 10 minutes ago, she was over the moon because her crush kissed her but now she feels so sad, she could feel tears prickling in her eyes. She really wanted to see Beth. Heck, she wanted more than that. She wanted to hug her, feed her, bring her to parks, read her bedtime stories, sing her lullabies, comfort her when she's scared. She wanted to raise her. She wanted to be Beth's mom. A tear fell down her cheek as she sat on her bed, thinking about Beth.
"It's for the best." she told herself as she wiped the tear from her face. Beth is in a better home now. A home better than she could ever provide. Shelby would be a great mother to Beth and Beth will be happy. She felt her phone vibrate and immediately checked it. It was a text from Puck.
Told you she looks like you. xo Puck
Along with that text, was an image. An image of a hazel-eyed blond toddler. She was looking into the camera with a dopey smile, just like Puck's. Quinn's heart just melted at the sight of the toddler. She was the most beautiful thing she's ever seen.
"Hi Beth" she whispered, staring at her phone screen.
(So I've decided to continue this fanfic after some persuasions from people. I apologize for this short chapter and the loooong hiatus as I have been very busy. I'll upload at least another 2 chapters by this week! Again, please review!)
