I know I have no excuses for not updating. I apologize a thousand times. Here's quite a long-ish chapter to make it up for.

A few weeks have passed; Quinn has been spending a lot of her time with Stefan. No one had the slightest clue about their courtship; people just assume that they were just lab partners at school, nothing much. Of course Rebekah got annoyed whenever Stefan talked to Quinn but deep down she didn't really care. For those who knew both Quinn and Stefan, they were just happy that the two teenagers found a friend in each other.

"Mum, I'm going to meet up a friend, might miss dinner—"Quinn said, about to leave the house, for another of her secret dates with Stefan when she noticed her mother had company. A very familiar company.

"Klaus?" Quinn voice squeaked, confused.

Klaus rose from the couch and walked towards her. "Quinn Fabray, how lovely to meet you again" he said, with his charming English accent.

"You both know each other?" Judy Fabray asked, a bit confused that her English guest was already familiar with her teenage daughter.

Quinn was about to speak but Klaus beat her to it. "Ah Mrs Fabray, you see, Quinn has become quite good friends with my little sister Rebekah."

Judy let out a laugh. "Rebekah is your sister? Oh my, I should have noticed the resemblance. Now that you've mention it, you both do look alike" she said, still giggling.

Quinn rolled her eyes at her mother's reaction. She always gets a bit loopy every time she meets an attractive man. It never really bothered Quinn like how it bothered her father but now she understands why the man gets annoyed with her. "So, what brings you to our home, Klaus?" Quinn asked Klaus, looking at him, hoping to get real answers.

Again, Judy let out a laugh. "Klaus here just invited us to his lovely family home, since we're new to the neighborhood" she said.

Klaus smiled. "That's something our families have in common. My family is relatively new here too, we moved here a year ago." he said, his gaze shifting to Quinn. She was all dolled up, a image of innocence. She was probably going out to see Stefan, and for some reason he felt annoyed. "Forgive me, but I should be going now. Please do come to our home, you are more than welcome. Especially you, Quinn." he added. Quinn felt her cheeks slowly burning under his attentive gaze. "Thanks" she mumbled.

Klaus shook Judy's hand and Quinn went to open the door for Klaus. He walked to the door and stopped just a few step before Quinn. He looked at her, locking their eyes together and smiled. "You look absolutely lovely, Quinn." he said charmingly. Words couldn't escape her lips so she settled for a sweet smile. This prompted Klaus' grin to be wider. He mumbled goodbye and left the Fabray household.

Quinn closed the door and blew her fringe away. Her cheeks was still burning from Klaus' gaze and compliment.

"He's one charming man is he? Did you see those eyes?" Judy said, grinning at her daughter.

Quinn nodded. "Yeah Rebekah has the same eyes. Do you think Dad will want to go?" she asked.

"Of course he would. The Mikaelsons seem lovely. We'll talk him into it." Judy said. Quinn's dad wasn't really a man who socialized, but he always gives in to his girls.

Quinn looked at her time. She was going to be late. "I have to go now, Mum! I'm taking the car. I'll be back by 9. " she said, kissing her mother's cheek. "Bye!" she said, closing the door behind her.

Twenty minutes later, she arrived at a quaint café just outside of Mystic Falls. They've been meeting up at places that wasn't surrounded by locals. People knew each other in Mystic Falls, and since Quinn and Stefan were keeping their relationship under wraps, they decided to meet up at the café. Stefan was waiting for her on his motorcycle. "Hey" he said, with a lazy grin.

"I'm so sorry I was late. There was a guest at the house and it's not nice to leave the house." Quinn said apologetically.

Stefan smiled and pulled her closer to him. "You're so polite, Quinn. That's what I like about you. Beautiful and courteous." he whispered, giving her a kiss.

"I wasn't nice all the time. I used to be a mean girl back in Ohio." She said, embarrassed.

"What's in the past stays in the past. Come on, let's go in." Stefan said, draping an arm around his girlfriend.

They entered the café, and much to their relief, there were no familiar faces. They took a table by the window and ordered their drinks.

"Stefan, how long have you known Rebekah?" Quinn asked, curiously.

Stefan took a moment to answer the question. "A few years. Why?" More like 80 years he thought darkly.

"That's weird, because Klaus said his family moved to Mystic Falls a year ago." Quinn replied.

Why the hell is Klaus is talking to Quinn? Rebekah might be his sister but she will keep Quinn away from him because she doesn't trust him. Stefan thought. "Klaus?" he asked.

"Oh, he was the guest at my house just now." Quinn answered nonchalantly.

"With Rebekah?" Stefan said, sitting up.

"No, just him. I was a bit shocked too when I saw him sitting in my living room talking to my mother. He invited my family over his house." Quinn added. She noticed that Stefan's reaction changed when he heard that Klaus was over. "Why do you look so tense?"

Stefan's eyes immediately soften when he heard Quinn. "Nothing, it's just weird that Klaus is going around making house calls. He's a bit of misanthropic in a way." Stefan said darkly. Misanthropic was one way to describe Klaus, although he thought humans were more like blood bags than actual living beings.

Quinn raised an eyebrow. "Why would you say that? He seems very nice." she replied defensively.

"Yeah he is nice at times. It's just he doesn't mix well with the people around here, him being a…foreigner and all." Stefan replied.

"You mean that he's not used to the American customs and traditions?" Quinn asked.

"Sure, something like that. Just keep your distance, okay?" he said, squeezing her hand.

Quinn slowly nodded, unsure of Stefan's request. "Okay…" she replied. She could not promise him.

"Let's talk about something else." Stefan said, wanting to change the subject. However Quinn was preoccupied. She was looking past him. "Stefan…isn't he from Mystic Falls? Because I could swear I've seen him around." she said, a bit nervous and curious at the same time. Stefan turned around and groaned immediately. He was definitely from Mystic Falls, and he was his brother. Damon Salvatore was in the café and he was going to catch Stefan and Quinn.

"You've got to be kidding me" Stefan muttered under his breath. Damon turned around and saw his brother with the new girl from the cheerleading squad. "Hey, little brother" he said coyly, walking towards them.

Quinn's reaction changed immediately. "Brother?" she looked at Stefan.

"Yeah, that's my brother, Damon." Stefan said, looking like he wanted to shoot himself.

Stefan has been very tight-lipped about his brother. He did tell her about his existence but the way he got really defensive about it showed that they weren't on good terms. She didn't want to ask more as she felt that their relationship was still in early stages.

If there's one thing that Quinn could deduce about the Salvatores was that they had good genes. Damon was extremely good looking, with messy black hair and playful blue eyes that could get a girl in trouble. He didn't look as Italian as Stefan did, but there were some resemblance between.

"I see that Stefan has been keeping himself very busy. Who would have thought it was a pretty young lady?" Damon said, looking at Quinn. "Hi, Damon Salvatore. Legal guardian and housemate of Lover Boy here." he introduced himself, flashing Quinn a dazzling smile.

"Quinn Fabray. I'm kinda new in town so Stefan has been my…friend." she added, feeling embarrassed because they were caught by a family member.

"I've seen you around. Cheerleading squad, right? Damn, you're fantastic at cartwheels." He said, with a flirtatious tone.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Stefan asked, annoyed.

"I come here all the time. The cappuccino here is to die for. Of course you'll only settle for plain black coffee only. Quinn here has good taste." he said motioning to their orders. Stefan ordered black coffee while Quinn had a cappuccino.

"Seriously, go away, Damon." Stefan said.

Damon raised his hands up in the air. "Fine, I'll leave you lovebirds because it's so obvious you guys are dating in secret. I promise I won't tell anyone" he said.

"Really?" Quinn blurted out. Damn, why did she say that?

"Cross my heart, hope to die, honey. It was lovely meeting you, Quinn. You should come over to the boarding house sometime." Damon replied, extending his hand to her. Quinn carefully shook it and nodded. "Nice to meet you too."

"Adios." Damon said to his little brother but Stefan didn't even bother acknowledging him. Damon rolled his eyes and walked out of the café.

"I apologize for my brother." Stefan said, clearly irritated.

"It's okay, really. He seems a bit playful, that's all." Quinn said, holding Stefan's hand.

"It's just he thinks he's some Don Juan and tries to flirt with all the girls in Mystic Falls." Stefan said. "I don't want him to do that to you too" he muttered under his breath.

Quinn couldn't help but smile at his response. He was jealous, and it was adorable. "Stefan, listen." she said, their eyes meeting. "I like you and only you. And nothing's going to change that." She added, smiling. Stefan smiled at her response and leaned into her, giving her a romantic kiss.
