This has been brewing around in my mind for a while. It isn't the best, but at least it's a chapter. Sorry about not getting anything up. Right after 3 days with friends, I spent over a week with my family, isolated from technology. SO. MUCH. BOREDOM.

Wintra's POV

We had been bouncing around in the back of the truck for a while now. Jerome and Bajan were, once again, asleep. They had just had a soda-chugging contest, Jerome having won with three while Bajan had only finished two and a half.

Megan was staring in disbelief, still, at the pile of bottles. It didn't seem like that much of a feat to me, but I guess it actually was. I hadn't ever tried drinking that much, so...

Seto nudged me, "Look."

Megan was handing Sky some sort of candy. They were little, round, pastel-colored discs, "These taste amazing with grape soda. Especially when you mix them together, but you don't have to."

"Great! Thanks!" Sky said, shoving them into his mouth. Soon enough, he took a large gulp of the soda.

Purple foam started coming out of his mouth. Trying to stop it, he covered his mouth, and soon enough, leaned over the side, "Not cool, man! Not cool!"

We were laughing too hard to reply. He sat back down and crossed his arms, pretending to throw a tantrum. Personally, I thought he looked more like a fish.

Randomly, Megan started belting out part of a song, "She'll think I'm SUUPPEEERR MAN, not SUUPEERR MIINIVAAAAN! How could you leave on Yom Kippur?"

Sky started laughing, "What the heck? What does that have to do with anything?"

"Got run over by a crappy purple Scion!"

"Umm..." I muttered. At this point, we were all confused. Even Blaze, who had been staring off into space since the phone call.

We finally all calmed down, but Megan still wouldn't tell us why she was randomly singing.

"BUUUUUUUURRRRRRPPPP!" Jerome burped, waking himself up.

So much for the silence. I was starting to enjoy it...

I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw Megan give Sky a few more of the candy. Hmm.

"Hey, Jerome!" I was about to find out why, "These are amazing with soda. Try any type! I recommend grape."

"Thanks, man. I won't try it now, but in a little bit..." Jerome was cut short by what sounded like a gun shot.

Megan freaked and started banging on the window, "Cal! What the heck happened?!

I heard a distant reply, " I don't know! Can one of you guys jump out and see what it was?!"

Jerome hopped to it, hurdling over the top of the bed, "Your tires! The front two are flat! And behind the car, there are some pointy things!"

"Tacs! Someone made us stop!" Cal yelled at him.

"NO MOVING!" Someone shouted off in the distance a bit. Soon, she came into view. And she had a gun.

Megan put her hands up, everyone following her. Soon enough, we had all "frozen" and had our hands up.

"This is like a cheesy 80's police movie arrest..." Megan muttered to no one in particular.

Several other people started emerging from behind boulders and bushes. Another car like ours, except white, came out and stopped before the tacs. Four people jumped out and grabbed a hose attached to a tank in the back. They washed the hazard away and got back in, all except for one which guided its back close to the front of our car.

Quickly, three of the four hooked our truck to the back of theirs, motioning for us to get out before they moved it.

Another car came up, and we were forced to get into the back of it. Cal mentioned that it was a re-purposed mail truck.

The girl with the gun jumped into the back of it with us, the doors closing behind her.

"What are you guys doing out here?" She asked us, gun now tied onto her back, probably in a sheath like Sky's.

"W-we survived the Morvis charges..." Megan told her, refusing to make eye contact.

"How? Did you use aluminum or what?"

"Huh?" Cal asked.

She sighed, "No one realizes that the atomic make up of it entirely repels the force that makes up the charges."

"In English?" Jerome questioned.

"Aluminum repels the charges," She said simply.

Megan started speaking, " I don't believe so..."

"Was your home built around 1985 or so?"

"Yep!" Cal replied.

"Aluminum was commonly used as a coating for support poles. It protected the main metal from the elements as they were being built. Seemed like it was too much work to take it out on most houses," She rambled on.

"But wouldn't that only protect people inside the pole?" Seto pointed out.

"The aluminum would wear off after a while and spread to other surfaces. That, and it's like a force field for a certain distance."

"Okay..."

"Come on! Have a seat!" She told us, sitting on one of the benches.

They were on both sides of the car, and even on the wall that would have once opened up to the driver's seat. I assumed it would have opened up to the driver. People don't exactly need protection from their packages.

"So, who are you guys?" She asked, pointing to everyone except Megan and Cal.

"Umm, I'm Tyson, and this is Andrew and Jared," Deadlox told her, telling her Ant and TrueMU's fake names.

"I'm Sky!"

"I'm Jerome and this is Chris."

"Will," Ssundee told her simply.

"Blaze."

The girl was a bit confused by the answer. Megan quickly replied, "She likes being called Blaze. Her real name is... Kara."

Blaze stared at Megan. She shrugged.

"And you two are?" She asked Seto and I.

"I'm Steven and this is..."

"Jamie," I told her. I knew someone by that name.

"Okay. Since I know all of your names..." She started.

"What about us?" Megan asked.

"You two are brother and sister. Megan and Calvin."

"Uh, I go by Cal," Cal butted in.

She nodded, "Anyway, I'm Devon. Thomas is in the front driving us."

"Yo!" A voice came from up front.

"So, where are we going? And when are we going to get our pick-up back? It's a pretty decent car..." Cal asked, leaning back.

"It is, but we'll get back to you on that. And about where we're going, that's for us to know. Not you. Sorry, I'd tell you but I'm under orders to avoid telling you guys anything before we know you aren't spies," Devon told us.

"Don't tell them that!" Thomas yelled.

"If they were spies, they'd know that they were spies, moron!" Devon shot back.

...

The road had gotten bumpier since we had first started off. I could tell we were at an incline, too.

"We're almost here!" Devon shouted.

Megan was pale and was standing on the bench, looking through the iron bar window and out through the wind shield. Devon had allowed her to do that, since we were far enough from where they had gotten us. That, and we didn't need anyone sick back here. It stunk enough as it was. (Courtesy of Jerome...)

"Megan, could you sit down for a little bit?" Devon asked.

She nodded and then sat down where she had been standing.

After a little bit, it got shaky and dark. The engine was soon turned off and we were allowed out.

Megan ran for a trash can. We were led towards a tunnel. The walls of the tunnel were striped with colors from grey to a reddish brown color. Occasionally, there was a glint in the walls, but it stayed about the same.

Soon, we came across a large room, several people mingling with each other. They instantly went quiet when they saw that there were people that they didn't know entering the apparent base.

A few guys made way for a broad, yet short, man. He was definitely muscular and could easily pack a punch, but he was in no way menacing.

"Sir! We found the group of survivors you sent for. There's another one back in the garage, but she got carsick on the way up to here," Thomas saluted and told the man.

"Of course, they all have to be wimps," He mentioned.

"Not cool, dude," Bajan piped up.

"What did you say, rookie?" The man threatened the Canadian.

"Um, Sir, we might not be strong, but most of us are skilled in combat," Bajan shrinked from his gaze.

"And which of you would be 'skilled'?"

"Him, him, him, and I, Sir," Bajan told him, pointing to Jerome, Ssundee, and Sky.

"You four, go with Thomas," He told them. Devon came to attention with Megan shuffling behind her through the tunnel, "The rest of you, with Alpha F"

"It's Devon, Sir," She told him.

"Yeah, yeah."

"Well, let's go and introduce you guys to people," Devon turned around and a girl ran into her.

"Sorry!" The girl apologized, "ALEX!"

Megan gasped.

"Megan?" The girl asked.

"Allison!" Megan yelled, hugging her.

Allison was as tall as Megan, about 1.6 blocks tall. She had shoulder length blonde hair tied back in a bandana.

"It's been a long time!" Allison said.

"Yeah it has! 7th grade, was it?"

"Wow. It's already been 7 years..."

Cal groaned, "How long will this go on!"

"A while, Cal. A while," I told him.

Don't ya gotta love Google? So much looking up of stuff for this chapter. And, just asking, would you guys like me to do a song-chapter thingy? Like where you put the meaning of the lyrics into a chapter? I have two ideas, but I don't know if I should do them. I've only done one of them and I only shared it with I sea fiera. (By the way, she writes for Kingdom Keepers and PJO and that stuff.)
