Author's Note and disclaimer: I boo booed in the last chapter, I meant to start that chapter with the Cardians and Ann and Allen, and I noticed at the end that it veered back to Beryl, and Darien being brainwashed. So I am going to leave it like that, and declare this chapter the official start to the Ann/ Allen, Tree of Doom arc of the Sailor Scouts, and make the next 4-5 chapters focus on them a little bit. I keep forgetting- how many set of Rangers are there, so I have to go look it up on Power Ranger Central, and try to make room for each set, and still keep following the Sailor Moon series. I have to remember to leave room for at least the most recent set of Ranger- which I think are the Samurai rangers, and now there is going to be yet another series, called the MegaForce Rangers (ooh, back to original colors I see). Supposed to start after the New Year, I think. Anyway, I apologize for not following the exact timeline, and wish you all a Happy Spring.

I do not own Sailor Moon or the Power Rangers. Much to my dismay.

Chapter 7: Lightspeed Rescue Sailor Moon Style:

Ami sleepily wandered into the kitchen, and poured herself a coffee. She glanced at the message board and noticed three messages for her- all phone calls. Her mother's handwriting notated a simple 'meet me at the arcade' message from Serena, and her mother also wrote that she invited Serena to their mother daughter night- the night they started when they realized that they only read each other's messages. There was a message from the juku, and Ami shook her head, reading the notations her mom wrote next to it, "Are you sure you don't want to try it again, Ami?" And to Ami's surprise there was a phone call from Greg, asking her to call him back. She picked up the phone and immediately dialed the memorized number.

"Hey Ami," Greg knew it was her without caller ID.

"Hello Greg, how are you?" Ami asked. Greg vaguely replied and asked how she was, and she said she was fine. There was a pause in the conversation once they were past the pleasantries.

"Listen, Ami, I had a reason for calling you. A friend of mine, Chad Lee, well, he's kind of like you and the Sailor Scouts. He and his friends need help with something in Mariner Bay, California. He said that they get monster attacks, and the Rangers always come and save them. Their most recent attack sounds like a Cardian."

Ami didn't bother asking how he knew about Cardians. She also guessed that Chad was a Power Ranger. She'd heard of some rescues from that area. She told Greg, "We'll help. I'll call a meeting with the Scouts- do you want to come?"

Greg agreed to meet them at the Shrine, with the condition that they all transform before he met them, and that Ami not mention that he had always known their identities.

"Ooh, Ami, Greg called you," Serena teased gently.

"And I called him back," Ami said patiently, looking over at the other three girls sitting at the coffee table in the Shrine. She continued, "The newest group of Power Rangers had an attack from a Cardian in Mariner Bay."

Rei nodded, "And he needs a meeting with the rest of us."

"Yes," Ami said, blinking, "But how did you know?"

"I've been reading the fire signs since I was ten years old; I think I can guess when someone outside of the group figures out our identities."

"Mariner Bay it is then. Do you think we will need our bikinis?" Mina asked.

"Mina!"

Ryan and Dana Mitchell watched as three young girls and one boy approached the yellow jeep that Captain Mitchell had sent them out with to pick up the Sailor Scouts from the airport. Dana studied the three girls as closely as she researched the backgrounds of Carter, Chad, Kelsey and Joel and it surprised her that these three girls were the ones sent out to help with the demon and cardian situation. All three girls had very solemn expressions, though, and Serena was the first to reach out a hand to both Dana and Ryan as she introduced herself as Sailor Moon, and Rei as Sailor Mars, and Lita as Sailor Jupiter. And of course, Greg bowed when Serena said. "I hope you don't mind that Greg also came along. He thinks he can be some help."

Ryan couldn't help but gaze appreciatively at Serena. She had a pure peaches and cream complexion and was naturally pretty with blonde pigtails and guileless blue eyes. "It is so nice to meet all of you."

Dana asked abruptly, "Where are Sailor Venus and Sailor Mercury?"

"Dana," Ryan looked mortified when his sister showed bad manners. He was the one raised away from his father and sister, but sometimes he had better manners than she did.

"It's okay," Serena responded, again openly meeting their looks, "Sailor Mercury, our friend Ami, has to study for a very important test. She is going to be a doctor, someday, and it is very important that she pass this science exam. Mina, who is Sailor Venus, has to finish off her movie contract as the actress known as Minako, and it would be bad for all of us to leave Juuban unprotected. As my second in command, she is in charge of protecting the city with Sailor Mercury. We are hoping not to need their help, but they can come using the teleportation power together."

Dana finally nodded, "Sorry. It's just that I know all of your backgrounds and it seemed odd to me it would be you three to come and fight."

"Now see here," Lita, Sailor Jupiter, started to say. Serena motioned for her to hold her tongue.

"All of my friends are brave and true," Serena stated simply, looking at Dana until Dana looked away.

"Time to hit the Aquabase," Ryan finally said before Dana could insult their guests any further.

Serena nodded and they climbed into the open air Rescue jeep, and were soon on their way.

"It is nice to meet you," Captain Mitchell said, shaking each of the girls' hands and motioning them to the chairs in the meeting room. Carter and Chad nodded, Kelsey smiled brightly, and said, "Welcome to the Aquabase."

Joel smiled flirtatiously, and said, "Hi, I'm Joel Rawlings, sky cowboy."

"Nice to meet you," Rei nodded coolly, while Lita smiled back, and Serena just gave her innocent stare and said, "Nice to meet you."

Captain Mitchell and Dana handed out the paperwork on the known data on the Demon spirits and the Cardians, and gave the shorthand version of what the Scouts would need to know on the Batlings, Vypra and Diabolico (AN: Olympus is still a baby demon in this story).

The alarm alerted the group that there was monster tromping through the plaza, and the Rangers met the eyes of the Scouts. "Let's go," Carter and Serena said in harmony.

The Rangers ran out of the conference room, the Sailor Scouts hot on their heels and they got into the jeep with the girls hanging onto the side rails. The jeep sped through the underwater tube and shot out on the streets of Mariner Bay. A few minutes later and they were right on the scene of the attack. Everyone jumped out of the jeep, and Carter said, "Dana, Ryan, check those people for injuries and get them out of the way. Kelsey and Chad, make sure everyone else who is not injured can get out of the plaza. Scouts, and Joel, you're with me. Ready?"

"Ready."

"Lightspeed, Rescue!" The Rangers shouted out. Their transformation flashed over them and they quickly dispersed to their assignments.

"Moon Crystal," Serena said.

"Jupiter," Lita said.

"Mars," Rei said.

"Power!" all three shouted at once. Blue and pink, green, and red lights crystalized around them. The scouts posed briefly and ran after the red and green rangers.

Dana and Ryan found several injured people, and quickly bandaged them up, and Ryan found a sheltered area to protect them. After moving the people who couldn't move themselves, Dana and Ryan ran to join the others.

Kelsey and Chad found stragglers hiding in behind tables and counters and underneath windows in stores and buildings of the plaza. They escorted the group of twenty or so civilians to safety. One of the men asked, "How can I help?"

Kelsey said, "Keep everyone out of the plaza."

"Kelsey," Chad shouted, "C'mon." They ran to join the rest of the Rangers and the Sailor Scouts. Kelsey aimed a kick at the Batlings surrounding Sailor Mars, and knocking it and several other Batlings down with well-aimed punches and kicks.

Sailor Moon threw her tiara around, and as it boomeranged around the fighting creatures, it left the Batlings in small mounds of moon dust.

Sailor Mars flipped over Sailor Jupiter and they stood back to back, fighting the Batlings. The monster behind the Batlings shouted as the Batlings were taken out, and the Rangers turned their attentions on him. Sailor Mars cried out, "Mars Fire…!"

"Absorbing Fire!" The monster sucked in the power from Sailor Mars' fire attack. Sailor Mars was left at the end of the attack, her face surprised, her fingers still posed to send out the rest of the fire.

"Supreme Thunder…!" Sailor Jupiter began her attack.

"Absorbing Lightning!" The monster absorbed the crackling lightening, still holding Mars' fire ball. He sent out both attacks, causing the Scouts to scream in agony as the fire and the lightning showered around them. The Rangers fell down, writhing in pain, yelling out. Carter watched in horror as Sailor Moon's skirt caught on fire, and she dropped and rolled, extinguishing the flames quickly.

Sailor Moon examined a burn on her thigh, hissing as her moon healing powers reversed the burn, leaving pale white skin behind. Sailors Mars and Jupiter watched in amazement, having only witnessed the quickly healing power before- it was something new since the Cardians had come, and the scouts (well, mostly Ami) suspected it was because of the Silver Moon Crystal.

The red and pink rangers rushed to Sailor Moon's side, looking for burns, looked at each other in shock- the skin was completing unblemished.

Sailor Moon motioned that she was okay, then said, remembering, "Whenever we teamed up with Rangers before, it took all of us together." Carter nodded, passing the knowledge to the other rangers. Sailor Moon nodded to the Scouts. They all stood up, preparing their attacks

Sailor Moon lit up her moon scepter, "Moon Scepter, elimination!"

Sailor Jupiter made her lightning rod extend from her tiara, "Supreme Thunder, Crash!"

Sailor Mars drew out a charmed slip, "I call upon the powers of Mars. Fireballs Charged! Mars Firebird Strike!"

Carter and the rangers pulled their large lasers, lining up side by side. Five shouted, "V lancers, fire!" Five different colors shot out of the lasers, hitting the monster directly in the center of his chest. The Sailor Scouts' attacks shot into the monster, dusting the monster. Powder flew away in the wind, sparkling like granulated sugar.

Sailor Moon shouted in victory as soon as the monster became powder. Dana and Ryan ran back to check on the injured civilians, Carter and Kelsey checked on the stragglers, and Sailor Jupiter commed Ami, "We got the Cardian in Mariner Bay."

Ami smiled in relief, "Great, I'll let Mina know. Come home as soon as you can."

Serena shook Carter's hand, saying, "Tommy would be proud of how other Ranger teams are working together with us."

"Tommy? You know Tommy Oliver?" Carter was surprised. He'd been in communication with previous red rangers, including Tommy and Jason, and neither had mentioned the Scouts. Or how pretty they all were.

"Yes. We've worked together," Serena smiled again. She turned to other rangers, shaking hands, and complimenting each one.

Dana said, "Thank you for your help."

Serena nodded. She glanced at Rei and Lita, who nodded that they were ready to leave. They gave a final wave and walked onto their transportation back to Japan.
