Every nerve in her body felt alive. Her instincts were heightened to the utmost capacity – her hair whipped around her in feral waves, as did her power. Was this what it was like to truly live? To feel every inch of the earth's power as your own, to see everything in a heightened clarity – like an eagle, a hawk. She truly felt alive for the first time…and then she fell.
It was like losing herself all over again.
Was this what it was like to be truly alive? To grasp something so wonderful, so marvelous only to have it ripped from you at a moment's notice? To never be truly happy? To never know what love is? Why was this happening to her, and only her?
THUMP.
Her mind went black. She didn't mind though – she was used to it by now.
So this was what it was like to live.
If that were the case, she wished she were dead.
