Frog

"Eeee! Get it away!"

"Stop over reacting."

"Kill it, kill it, kill it now!"

"Oh dear. It'll be alright Relm. Calm down and—"

"Stop being so dramatic."

"Celes!"

Heroes of the realm were very hard to come by these days. It took a certain type of person: one with fearlessness, bravery, determination, intellect and a number of other traits I'd rather not list. What did the three women here, three warriors of the lands project here, today? Panic, nervousness, and irritation laced with the patience of a bull. If any admirer of these three heroes happened to walk into this room today, they would be sorely disappointed. One of them had an excuse at least: they were only 14, after all. The other two were simply…socially inept. Being raised by a tyrant will do that to a person, supposedly. How would I know? I'm just a lowly frog trying to hop outta here! Why are they running so much? Let me out!

"AHHHH killitkillitkillitkillitkillit!" the tiny one said. She wore something on her head that looked like a lily pad. That's what made me want to jump on her head in the first place – I didn't mean to startle her!

"R-Relm, maybe—" the nice, leaf-colored hair one said. "It's not trying to hurt you. Frogs don't hurt anyone but flies! Please stop running around so we can just let it out the window…please?"

"AHHHH!"

"Honestly, women. Give it to me, Terra. I'll let it out."

"O-Ok."

I was Transported from the sweet little ones hands to the taller ones hands. She looked down at me, wisps of snow falling over her shoulders. The night sky blinked (I didn't know it could do that!) before walking over to a cloud and opening it (Magic!) and opening her giant palm.

"Get out now so we can get back to some semblance of normalcy," she told me. Her voice felt as cold as a river, but I didn't mind. I was free!

I hopped as far away as possible from the trio of heroes – they weren't like I had imagined them at all. I guess looks could be deceiving!

"T-Terra?"

"Yes, Relm?"

"The frog is gone?"

Terra nodded.

"Aww, I wanted to paint it's portrait!"

Celes whirled around to glare at the younger girl.

"Then why make such a fuss over it jumping around you dolt?"

"Hey! It was still a creepy, slimy, icky frog!"

"Women," she hissed and rolled her eyes. "If you need me I'm going where people don't panic over the whereabouts of a single amphibian."

With that, she walked upstairs. Relm shouted up after her.

"Yeah, I bet Locke's chambers will be nice and cozy for you, huh?"

The blond re-entered, and the squabble of the century began. Terra simply laughed and looked out the window.

"You're right Celes. Women!"

A/N: I wanted to write so asked my friend for a prompt and she said "Frog" so I came up with this. It's…an odd piece for me, and it sort of just…happened. So hope it's at least a little enjoyable haha. Thank you to anyone reading, and a review would be appreciated!
