"Are you alright?"
He blinked and turned to his beautiful wife. A smile graced his lips. "Yes."
"Kōtarō will take good care of her."
A sigh escaped his lips as he watched his little girl danced happily with her new husband. Really, he still couldn't believe that his little Kisa had grown so fast before his eyes. He still remembered holding her when she was born, and now, she was married to the man she loved and ready to leave the West. Though he didn't like her leaving, he understood and glad that she had chosen well. He knew without a doubt that Kōtarō would make Kisa happy.
Feeling his wife's squeeze on his arm in assurance, he replied, "I know."
He glanced at his sons. At the age of 25, Ryusuki had proved himself capable of taking care of the West. Ryusuke, while still carefree with his never ending mischievous pranks, had become a good head clan. Many adored and respected the twins. Both were strong in their own right, and as their father, he couldn't be prouder.
Thanks to his wife, Ryusuki would have the freedom to choose his own wife at his own pace. Mikan had told him that as much as she dreaded her duty to the land, she was glad that she could do something for their sons' future, and he couldn't agree more. So far, neither Ryusuki nor Ryusuke showed any interest with the ladies yet. Though, there would be a time where an heir would be required for the stability of the land. Nevertheless, both of their sons had a few more years to look for their own lady.
Looking back at his wife, he leaned close to her ear and muttered, "Thank you."
With a loving smile, she answered, "I love you."
