Okay, this is crappy...
Tris' POV
I know that when I get up, there's a puddle of drool next to me, but at least I don't fart right before getting up.
Throwing him my pillow I say, "Tobias, that's gross!"
But being the man he is, he only walks away while saying, "It's not like you don't do it in your sleep." I roll my eyes and grab his pillow to knockout on. Smelling his pillow, I hear the electric razor being turned on.
"I know you're smelling my pillow!" He yells from the bathroom. I guess there's no point in sleeping through this noise. I walk to the bathroom, trying to put on my sweatpants. When I finally put them on, I'm looking at Tobias through the mirror. He winks at me with his signature smirk. I walk up to his half-shaven face, both of us still looking at the mirror. I start to put my thin arms around his ribs while he finishes shaving. Peppering his shoulder blade with light kisses, he touches my fingers, then firmly holds them in his own. He brings them to his mouth and gives them a light yet certain kiss, keeping the back of my hand to his closed mouth.
"Why did you shave?" I ask with my forehead on his shirtless back. He shrugs.
"It was getting itchy." He turns around and puts his lips against my head. I grab his face with both of my hands and bring his lips to mine. Moving my hand to his jaw, I mumble through the kiss, "I thought you looked sexier with it." He pulls away.
"What did you say?" He grins. I smile and rake my hands through his hair.
"You heard me." I mumble against his collarbone. He pulls back, his grin still stuck on his face.
"I don't think I did." I smile and put my hands on his cheeks.
"I said you looked sexier with your beard."
He doesn't say anything, but smiles and kisses me.
He chuckles into the kiss. Tobias breaks the kiss to laugh.
"What?" I ask.
He laughs for a bit more until answering me. "Your breath smells; you haven't brushed your teeth yet." I blush and look down. He puts his fingers on my chin and makes me look up. I look in between his eyebrows, not being able to look him straight in the eye.
"Just go brush them and stop being embarrassed," He kisses my forehead, "And then we can continue the program." He leaves the bathroom with a final smirk.
I groan and drag my hands on top of the sink. As I brush my teeth, I hear the sizzling of bacon in the background. I hurry and gargle so I can taste the savory, greasy bacon. I run out of the bathroom and before falling to the ground, I see toned muscles. My hand goes to my forehead. When I look up, I see Tobias' hand with a side of his lopsided-smile. I roll my eyes and take his hand.
"Well somebody was in a hurry." He says. When I don't respond, he lifts me from my feet with one arm and throws me over his shoulder. All I do is rest my elbows on his back. He sits me down on the stool and goes behind the counter to retrieve the food. When he comes back, he sets my plate in front of me.
I look up at him. "Why don't you sit down?" I pat the stool next to me. He shakes his head.
"No thanks, I'd rather look at you than the side of you." He winks.
When I look down at my plate, I see the bacon arranged as a heart and the scrambled eggs filling it in. On the eggs, he wrote with ketchup, 'You fill me up.' I look at him with my 'Really? You're so cheesy' look. All he does is smile widely with his eyes closed. I laugh and start to eat my food.
Walking down the pit with our hands attached, he starts to bring up a conversation I'd rather not have.
"So do you know what today is?" He says with tension. I swing our arms a bit.
"It's a regular day." I say even though I know what day it is.
"No, silly Beatrice," I look at him, "It's Valentine's Day!" He says with fake enthusiasm.
"Tobias, we don't have to celebrate it."
I say, making him stop walking. He looks around us, where all the couples are kissing.
"I want to." He says while fixing my hair.
I sigh and say, "Are you trying to make it up to me for the day you were sick?" He looks down. I grab his hand and drag him to an empty hallway.
"Tobias look at me," He looks at me, "Why do you want to celebrate today? It's just an excuse for males to have only one day to spoil their girlfriends? I don't want that, we can go on a date tomorrow, but if you really want to go out today, then it's okay. Okay?" He nods.
"Can we at least go walk around and stuff?" He asks. I smile and nod. He smiles back.
When we start to walk around, his unsure self seems like it's vanished.
(Tomorrow)
When I wake up, Tobias is nowhere to be seen; but a bouquet of lilies are visible on my nightstand. Walking to them, I start to panic for no reason. On the lilies, there's a yellow note. I open it.
VI-
First off, I'm okay. No cuts, no bruises.
Second, roses seemed too Valentine's Day- the lilies seemed like a better touch.
I'm sending you to do a very important scavenger hunt for me.
Can you do that?
I hope so.
I love you.
-IV
I smile while reading the note. I frown. Wait, where do I go for the first clue? I flip to the back of the note.
Oh yeah, the first clue.
I roll my eyes.
Who you love to share and gossip
Is where the first present will be.
I believe that this scavenger hunt will rocket;
I guarantee.
-IV
I give a small laugh and applause to no one for his rhyming skills. Putting down the note and getting the small bouquet, I start to walk to Christina's.
PART ONE IS COMPLETE! Gah, that took forever. Sorry guys for not updating, but I will try to update next week- pinky-promise. Sorry for the tiny cliff hanger. Till next time, peeps.
