Chapter Eleven: Tears and Deaths
Leaf, where are you?! Gary thought in frustration. He came across two grunts, swiftly knocking out the male and pinning the female to the ground, keeping her conscious.
"Where is she?!" Gary demanded.
"W-who? I don't know what you're talking about," the grunt replied defiantly.
Gary glared at her. "I would usually never hurt a woman but if you don't tell me where Leaf is, you'll be in the same state as that guy." He pointed his head towards the man on the floor. Gary, being the 'gentleman' he was, wouldn't do that to the woman but only said it as a threat, knowing it would work.
The girl's eyes widened. "Okay, okay. She's in the boss' office, top floor. There's a huge double door, you can't miss it," she explained hastily.
Gary smirked, releasing the girl from his grip. "Thank you," he said, running to the closest lift.
He was tapping hit right foot impatiently as the lift rose to the top floor, he sprinted out immediately when it opened, seeing the huge double door he had been informed about.
Gary ran in, slamming the door open to be horrified. He saw Leaf pinned onto the wall by her neck with Giovanni's hand. Immediately, rage rushed through him. "Scizor, quick attack!"
Scizor didn't hesitate, it slammed into Giovanni in a flash, making him go flying towards the wall. Leaf collapsed as the grip was released, Gary sprinted over, to hear her mutter his name and then black out.
He fell on his knees and started to shake her, "Leaf, Leaf wake up!" He even tried to open her eyes, as he did so he looked at them even more closely.
"Let's go down to the river, it's so pretty!"
Gary started hearing voices in his head again, trying to shake them out. What the hell?
"Whatever you want, princess."
Why now?
Dawn and Paul were running through the corridors, taking out anyone in their way without their Pokémon.
Dawn used her agility and flexibility, dodging and kicking grunts right in their faces. Paul used his strength, one punch meant unconsciousness or even death, if in the right spot.
"Dawn, six o'clock!" Paul called out, looking over his shoulder.
Dawn smirked. "Gotcha!" She turned 180 degrees, bracing her arm to punch someone. They were working as a team, and that was the reason why they were doing so well.
Once they were done, they both sat down, resting a bit.
"Where do you think they are?" Dawn asked, resting her arms on her knees.
Concentration came over Paul's face, "I'm not sure but the most logical explanation would be the top floor."
Dawn raised her eyebrows, "Oh? Hmm, I guess so," She looked over at Paul, "-I have a question. How are you so good at fighting?"
Paul shrugged. "I did lessons."
Dawn wasn't convinced, yet she didn't pester him further. "Fair enough," she stood up, "-let's go help Leaf and Gary now!"
Drew rolled his eyes. "Whatever."
Ash smirked. "Go, Pikachu!" he exclaimed, his Pikachu leaping off his shoulder.
Misty smiled competitively, sending out a Pokemon. "I'm not letting you have the fun, Ash! Go, Golduck!"
"You two take those two, we'll beat Jessie and James!" Ash exclaimed, pointing to a pair of Team Rocket members that had came up behind May and Drew.
The two rivals nodded, twirling around.
"Don't tell me you two have a lame motto as well," Drew said, narrowing his eyes.
"No way! Those two are losers. I'm Butch!" the man said, rolling his eyes. He had a similar hair colour to Drew, matching eyes to go with it.
"And I'm Cassidy!" The woman said, twirling her hair.
May scratched her head. "Ehehe... sorry what was your name?" she asked, pointing to Butch.
He rolled his eyes. "Butch."
"Biff?"
"Butch!"
"Mitch?"
"BUTCH!"
May giggled. "Oh, sorry, Hootch!"
Butch face-palmed, groaning. "Whatever! Go, Mightyena!"
She giggled again, completely losing her seriousness for a few seconds. "Hehe. G o, Blaziken!"
Drew rolled his eyes, then smirked. "Roserade, you're up!"
On the other side of the room, Ash grinned. "Pikachu, thunderbolt!"
Pikachu launched itself in the air, a mischievous look cast upon it's face. It's cheeks started crackling as Jessie, James and Meowth grabbed each other, terrified. "Pika... CHU!" Pikachu cried, engulfing Jessie, James and Meowth in electricity.
The bolt was so powerful that they hit the wall with enormous power, blasting through the wall. "Team Rocket's blasting off agaiiiiiin!" they cried as they were launched through the air and out of sight.
At the time, May and Drew were only battling Butch and Cassidy and were thrashing them so Misty had an idea.
"May, Drew! You guys seem to be doing awesome, Ash and I will go and find Leaf and Gary," she said, looking over at May.
May nodded. "Sure thing! We'll catch up!"
Misty grinned and nodded, running past the battle and going on ahead with Ash.
Gary leaned over her, shaking her over and over again, "Leaf, tell me you're okay! Say something!"
Leaf was motionless, she was laying on the floor, her skin cold and pale. Gary checked her pulse, fortunately, he could feel something. Hope surged through him as he stood up, facing Giovanni who was still shakily standing up.
Giovanni grinned evilly. "Is she dead already? Pity, she was a pretty one too, a perfect trophy."
Anger rushed through Gary once again. "She's not dead! Trophy? Who do you think you are?"
Giovanni chuckled. "She's not? Well then maybe when she wakes, I can tell her who you really are. Gary Oak, an assassin working under Lysandre."
Gary gritted his teeth, glaring venomously at Giovanni. "Y-you wouldn't! Scizor, Iron-Head!"
Giovanni rolled his eyes, throwing out a cube-like object lazily at Scizor as it approached him. Immediately, Sczior was trapped in a cube of red-electricity which seemed to be painful.
Gary's mouth fell open. "Scizor!"
Continuing like nothing happened, Giovanni came closer towards Gary. "Oh yes I would. Just imagine that look of horror on her face, when she realises her lover is really just an assassin sent out to kill her," he said, laughing sadistically.
Gary just stood there helplessly, unable to think of anything to say. He was defeated. Either way, he would lose Leaf, forever. He couldn't even use his Pokémon.
"-but, there is a way you can make me not tell her your little secret," Giovanni said, looking over at Gary, smirking.
Gary looked over at him, eyes narrowed. "And how is that?"
His smirk grew. "Easy. Tell me all of Lysandre's plans and why those four girls are so important to him, and I won't tell her a thing."
Forgetting about her Mega Stone completely, May battled valiantly with her Blaziken with Drew by her side. They managed to defeat Butch and Cassidy fairly easily but soon, they were outnumbered by around fifty grunts, weakening rapidly.
"That was my last Pokémon!" May exclaimed, panicking.
Drew gritted his teeth as his last Pokémon, Flygon, was knocked out of the air and collapsed of exhaustion. "Me too."
The grunts were moving in closer, Drew and May trying to fight them off.
"Drew, we need help!" May cried out, unable to hold her strength.
"Keep fighting, we haven't got any help at the moment," Drew replied, doing better than May.
"Attack the boy, kill him if you need to! We only need the girl!"aA grunt said, shouting over everyone.
"Target the boy, the girl is weak!" another shouted out.
Tears sprung as May hit the ground, hard. "Help! Drew!"
In the meantime, Drew was losing his strength as well. "May!" he cried, taking hits from both Pokémon and people.
A grunt was dragging May away, putting a hand tightly over her mouth.
"M-" Drew wasn't able to finish, another Golbat bit him with another poison fang, the poison getting to him. He collapsed on the floor, paralysed and unable to do anything as he watched May be dragged away, slowly blacking out as the poison ran through his veins.
"Calem, I think we're done here," Serena said, smirking.
"Right," Calem said, returning his Meowstic into it's pokeball.
"You know Calem, we haven't battled like that together in a while. We should tag battle more often!" she said, grinning.
"Right, as a team," he changed the subject, "Have you ever seen Team Rocket around Kalos?"
"Nope. Now that I come to think of it, why exactly are Team Rocket here in Kalos?" Serena asked thoughtfully, frowning at the large building.
"I don't really know. Do you think we should go help the guys out in the building?" Calem said, looking over at Serena.
"Eek! Totally forgot about them. Serena and Calem, to the rescue!" Serena exclaimed, 'zooming' into the building.
Calem rolled his eyes, smiling at her playfulness as he followed her into the building.
Paul leaned against the wall of the elevator as it went up the many floors of the building while Dawn tapped her feet impatiently.
"Floor fifteen... sixteen... seventeen," Dawn muttered, the top floor was floor twenty. A few more floor passed as the doors finally opened, Dawn ran out immediately, Paul following.
He held out his hand, stopping Dawn. She looked at him curiously, giving a questioning look.
"What- mmph!" She was cut off by Paul, he put a hand to her mouth as soon as she spoke. Paul held a finger to his mouth, telling her to be quiet. Dawn nodded, following slowly by the wall towards the large double-doors, they were already open.
Paul looked over the end slightly, hearing people talking in the room.
"Easy. Tell me all of Lysandre's plans and why those four girls are so important to him and I won't tell her a thing."
Paul's heart skipped a beat, he couldn't have Dawn hear who he thought was Gary, answer the question. He ran inside, yelling, "Gary! Don't!"
Gary whipped around, his mouth falling open. "Paul," then he looked behind Paul, "-and Dawn. I'll let you know that you're a tad late guys."
Dawn spotted Leaf, her facial expression completely changing, "Leaf!" she cried out, running towards her. After a few seconds she looked back up at Giovanni, Gary and Paul angrily. "Wait, hold on a second. Who's Lysandre? Four girls, us? And how would Gary know?"
Paul looked back at her. "That doesn't matter-"
"No, I want to know!" Dawn-half yelled. "Why us? Why were we brought here?"
Gary shook his head, trying to lie. "I'm telling you, we don't know-"
"You do! I know you do," slight tears sprang out, "-look at what happened to Leaf. We never wanted any of this, why us?"
Giovanni chuckled. "Oh, I see, you're one of those four girls. Eye of the-"
"Are we too late?" They heard someone say, Ash and Misty ran into the room, panting.
"Great, the more who hear, the better," Gary muttered sarcastically under his breath.
Almost as if on cue, a grunt came in, holding May's arms back as he walked behind her. She had bruises and cuts everywhere.
"Sir, this is one of the girls. We've brought her to you," a grunt reported, letting go of her.
Misty cried out in horror, "May!"
An evil smile came across Giovanni's face. "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. We're missing one, where is he?"
"Sir, we think he's dead, he was bitten by many Golbat's poison fangs."
The whole room went silent, looks of horror and sadness on their faces, apart from Giovanni of course. Quiet sobs could be heard from May who was on the floor, kneeling with her hands still cuffed.
"Hmm, whereabouts do you think they are?" Serena said, walking around the building, looking into different rooms curiously.
"I have no idea," Calem replied, looking into several other rooms.
"Why do you think they took the girls anyway?" Serena asked, stopping and looking at Calem.
"I don't really know- what's that?" Calem looked down and took off a pokeball from his belt, it was shaking. "Absol? What's wrong?" he asked, releasing Absol from the pokeball.
"Ab-sol! Ab-sol, ab!" Absol barked, running down the corridor and turning into a room.
"Absol, get back here!" Calem called out, running after the Disaster Pokémon. He ran into the room, stopping dead in his tracks at the sight before him.
Serena, who was right behind him, let out a little scream, covering her mouth. "Drew?!"
"What? Where is he? What did you do to Drew?!" Gary yelled, anger taking over his face completely.
Paul and Ash were also angered to the max, yelling as well. Dawn and Misty just looked like they were lost for words and May was sobbing uncontrollably.
The grunt smirked. "Killed him. Problem?"
Gary glared at him, venom shooting from his eyes, "Liar! Drew wouldn't lose to you bastards!"
"Ask the girl!" the grunt retorted, pointing to May.
Misty looked over at May who managed to stop sobbing, tear streaks marked on her face. She sniffed. "He's not lying," she said weakly.
Misty and Dawn gasped, tears streaming down Dawn's face. Hurt and pain crossed the three boys' faces as May spoke, they had just been told that their unbiological brother was dead.

I know what you're all thinking, "SHINYDRAGONAIR2. WHAT. THE. HELL." Unless you're one of the few people who know my real name, then you'd say my real name instead.
Now the question is, am I really that cruel? Would I really kill off Drew? Guess you'll have to find out. Hopefully, the next chapter won't take as long as this one did.
Sorry if I have any huge mistakes, I kind of rushed this chapter I guess. Also why this is super-short, next one will come faster and be much longer, I hope.
