Notes: This is the last chapter before the Epilogue, so I hope you enjoy it! And yes, I know I promised one more scene but it felt tacked on so I'm not using it. I AM however going to spend the entire Kristanna Smut Week to Beach Cottage scenes... so it's not over quite yet ;)

He killed the ignition to his truck and stared at Anna's house through the passenger window. It looked just like he pictured it would, completely surrounded by rose bushes and even the pretty white picket fence. It was simple and elegant, perfect for Anna and her regal sister. He couldn't help but wonder if Anna would like his house. If she didn't, he'd build her a new one. Anything for her… but first he had to sweep her off her feet. It was why he was there after all.

Reaching across the front seat, he grabbed the large bouquet of brilliantly pink roses soft white lilies and the box of gourmet fudge from the shop his Ma had suggested. It didn't feel like enough to express how he felt about her, but hopefully it was a good start. He took a deep breath, got out of his truck, and made his way up the small cobblestone walkway that led to her front porch.

With trembling hands, he knocked on the front door, hoping that Anna wouldn't notice the fact that he was a complete mess. She probably wouldn't though. She tended to see only the positive in people. It was just one of the many reasons he was so crazy about her, his adorable optimist.

When he heard footsteps walking up the door, he readied the flowers and chocolate in front of him and tried not to look as desperate as he felt. Unfortunately for him, Anna didn't open the door, Elsa did.

Her eyes widened in surprise for just a moment before a soft smile slid onto her lips. "So, you made your decision then?"

His throat felt swollen shut with nerves, so he just nodded his head in agreement. He had chosen Anna… what other option was there for him?

"I'm happy for the two of you, I really am. Just know that if you ever hurt her," she leaned in to him, her eyes as cold as ice as they stared into his, "if you ever hurt her… I will break your kneecaps."

Kristoff took a step back, unnerved by the intensity of her stare. He couldn't have stopped himself from letting the next words slip from his mouth: "If I hurt her, I'll provide the bat."

Elsa threw a hand over her mouth, trying to stifle the loud bark of laughter at his words. Her eyes teared up with mirth and she hung onto the door to keep herself steady. "Oh Kristoff… I actually believe you would! Good for you," she chuckled, wiping away the moisture in her eyes.

"I meant it when I told you that I love her," he said nervously, uncertain about Elsa's laughter. He wasn't sure if she was laughing at him, or just the idea that he wouldn't stop her from hurting him if he hurt Anna… maybe it was both.

She managed to stop laughing long enough to give him a soft smile. She reached out and put a hand on his shoulder. "I know you do, otherwise you wouldn't be here and I'm so glad you are. I think you may be exactly what she needs."

"So… is she here?" Kristoff asked, gesturing with the hand holding the flowers toward the door.

Elsa grinned and walked back into the house. "Anna! Someone's at the door for you!"

From somewhere deep within the house, he heard Anna call back. "Can you take a message for me? I'm in the middle of something!"

Elsa chuckled and rolled her eyes, giving Kristoff a 'she's a handful' kind of look. "Why don't you come back with me? It'll take forever to get her to leave her studio at this time of day."

He wasn't certain that Anna was going to appreciate an intrusion into her studio (if their time together before was any indication), but Elsa seemed to think it was all right, so he followed her inside the house and let her lead him to Anna's studio. When he leaned around the open doorway and saw her bent over her sketch book, he struggled to catch his breath. She was so much more beautiful than he had remembered. Her hair was more vivid, her skin a richer cream… she radiated beauty. He hadn't realized until just this minute how much he had truly missed her.

"So? Who was it?" Anna asked, not taking her attention off her sketch book. "Did Aunt Gerda stop by again with another casserole?"

When Kristoff didn't respond to Anna's question and reveal himself, Elsa stuck her elbow in his side to get him talking. "Do you think that maybe I'll do instead?"

Anna froze when he spoke, her entire body going as rigid as a pole. With agonizing slowness she let the sketch book slide from her fingertips and Kristoff watched it fall to the floor before she turned her gaze on him. Her blue eyes were filled with tears, her mouth quivering and her shoulders shaking as she took in the sight of him. "Kristoff? You…? How? How…" she whispered, bringing a hand to her mouth to hold in a sob.

He didn't respond, he wasn't sure that he could have formed words if his life depended on it, but he held out his arms to her and let all of the love he had for her shine in his eyes.

She didn't hesitate for a moment… she just threw herself into his embrace and let the tears fall. He pulled her against his chest, burying his face in her neck and breathing in her scent. He had Anna back in his arms and he was never going to let her go again.
