Arriving on Training Ground number Seven. Kakashi stood there practically radient with joy. He was finally going to get to spar his old team again. He was happy to have Naruto back, but he couldn't show it. Not yet anyways. He just had to make sure to keep the young Jinchuriki back in the village and get him to change his mind. Kakashi wouldn't force him, but he also wouldn't just let him leave without a final answer from Naruto.
Naruto appeared in a gust of wind, as Sakura and Sasuke landed behind him, waiting for Kakashi to speak. Naruto broke the silence himself.
"Alright Hatake, let's see how stronger you've gotten while I've been away." Naruto taunted. Sure Naruto knew about Kakashi's bingo book reference, but it wasn't a flee on sight like his, at least, the last he checked it wasn't. Naruto wasn't going to underestimate the Sixth Hokage.
"Naruto, I hope you're ready. I'm not going to go easy on you three, that'd be suicidal." Kakashi said while lifting his head band revealing his Sharingan. Suddenly the Sharingan morphed into the Mangekyou Sharingan as he took a combative stance removing two kunai from his pouch gripping them.
Sasuke himself stood shocked as he noticed his sensei had the Mangekyou Sharingan. Something that was said required you to kill one who you were close to. Sasuke shook himself out of it while Naruto and Sakura were already in their stances. "What's the goal here Kakashi sensei?" he asked.
Kakashi simply replied. "Your goal is to survive, nothing more nothing else. A bell test wouldn't do much any more, I already know about your team work. Your goal will be to defeat me, however you chose to do so is up to you." Kakashi stated. This was no longer a spar, it was three Jounin Level shinobi vs a Kage. Without warning Naruto dashed foward and formed a Shadow Clone quickly, without seals.
The clone went through hand signs and began to launch a jutsu towards Kakashi. Kakashi copied it back at the clone seeing what Naruto's intentions were and began implementing his counter measures.
"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!" The clone and Kakashi stated. The impact of both techniques hitting each other caused a tremendous explosion of earth and dust which became a smoke screen for the shinobi. Using this opening, Sasuke formed through a quick succession of hand seals.
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" He stated as a massive ball of flames erupted from his mouth. He began to launch the flames at Kakashi before realizing the Hatake was no where in sight, until he heard a sound from above.
"Kamui!" Kakashi stated, and the inside of the fireball began to distort, soon it became uncontrollable and began to lash out wildly, suddenly Kakashi himself went through more hand seals.
"Wind Release: Divine Winds!" He stated. A simple D ranked genjutsu, but Kakashi had tweaked it a bit. The winds hit the flames and a massive explosions of flames took place on the battle field. Sakura took this time to punch the ground bringing up a massive wall of earth that blocked the flames from reaching her and Sasuke. Naruto was in the midst of the flames until he slammed his hands on the ground errecting a barrier around himself. As the flames warped around the barrier and the wall, when they died down Kakashi was on the ground holding one hand below his waist.
There was another Kakashi beside him as well, both making their way towards the Shinobi. It was Kakashi's Raikiri with a twist, as the blades of lightning connected creating a devistating wire of electricity. It made its way toward Naruto as he released his barrier jumping into the air, as he gathered chakra in his lungs and began following Kakashi movements. He reached his peak in the air while he held his breath.
Sasuke heard the crackling and sensed the incoming attack. "Sakura hit the deck!" he stated while the line of lightning clearly sliced through the earth wall that was in front of them. Sasuke and Sakura stood up as Sasuke formed a seal and released Three heads of fire in the shapes of dragons toward Kakashi. Kakashi moved towards the dragons as his Sharingan gleamed.
"Kamui!" he thought to himself as his Sharingan began warping the fireball's away. Naruto began his decent back to the ground and released a massive amount of air from his lung.
"Drilling Air Bullets!" Naruto thought to himself. It was the technique that Shukaku himself had know, and it was a large amount of chakra that was needed to perform it, but Naruto had that in spades. The air bullets knocked Kakashi back as he braced for impact, having no way to dodge it, having just warped away the Fireballs with the Kamui. He flipped as he sailed through the air before he caught himself and skid acrossed the ground. Kakashi removed a scroll from his pouch as he threw it into the air forming Hand seals. He pulled out a kunai at the last seal scrapping his hand and catching the scroll. Sasuke rushed foward at this time, not wanting Kakashi to get those seals off.
"Earth Style: Summoning Technique: Tracking Fang Persuit!" He stated and a large amount of Dog's appeared in the area. Sasuke cursed. Kakashi looked at them and threw down a smoke bomb. His voice could then be heard at the same time. "Scatter!" he stated and the dogs disappeared through the area. Kakashi knew when he was over whelmed. It was now time to take a stealthful approach. Naruto landed between Sasuke and Sakura.
"Damn it...He got away." He said as Sasuke and Sakura looked at him. "So Uchiha, Haruno...What do you think we should do here." He said. They winced abit at Naruto's lack of their first name, since they felt familiar. Naruto sensed their tense emotions and waved it off. "Relax, i'm not hostile towards you. I just developed this mental tick of not refering to people by their first names in battle." he stated to calm their worries.
"He's obviously wanting us to persue him." Sakura said. She was still the brilliant kunoichi she was in the past, well as far as brains went. Having some power to back up that brain made her a deadly combination now. "I say the faster we find him, the less time he has to plan." Sakura stated.
Sasuke activated his Sharingan, hoping for a glance of Kakashi's chakra. "I can see his Ninja Hounds all around us. If we make a move, they'll know. No doubt they can hear us planning. What ever we do, we have to be covert about it." Sasuke said as he bit his hand forming a few hand seals. "Summoning Technique." Sasuke stated while a Toad appeared.
"You summoned me Sasuke-...You!" It stated looking at Naruto.
"How ya been!?" Naruto said with a feral grin. While Naruto may not have done anything sinister to the toad summons. His betrayal to them had cut deep. As the Toad's had never had someone abandon them for an enemy summon, it was a betray that didn't sit well with the Toad clan, and as such they viewed him as a personal enemy.
"I am sorry Sasuke, but we are not allowed to associate with the likes of him!" The toad stated.
"Oh come on...are you guys still sore that I gave up my contract with you. I even did it respectfully. Don't get so bent about it. Toad's could have tracked my location. It was nothing personal." Naruto stated while cleaning out his ear.
"Let's relax for a minute. Gamatensei, I need you to track down Kakashi for me. He's some where in the woods. Your camoflauge ability is useful which will not allow the dog's to pick up your scent. You won't have to associate with Naruto here at all, just me." Sasuke stated. The toad nodded and disappeared.
"Who would have thought that they would hold a grudge." Naruto said as he bit his thumb and went through a few seals himself. "Summoning Technique!" He stated as a coffin rose up from the ground, Naruto's Shadow Clone was swallowed by the coffin and out stepped a shinobi with dark hair, blue eyes, and slightly pale skin. Naruto formed a few more hand signs and the Shinobi's eye's opened up and dialated before the irises turned black and his pupils became blank. Naruto gave a mental command and the shinobi disappeared, soon clashing of metal and sounds of explosions could be heard shortly after that.
"What was that Naruto." Sasuke asked.
"Edo Tensei. A reanimation Techinque. That was a tracker ninja I killed when we left Oto. I felt that some of those useless dead bodies could be put back to use." Naruto stated while he waited for the results of the fight. The Edo Tensei itself wouldn't stop fighting unless it's soul was put to rest by an event, Naruto canceled the technique, or that it was sealed. And since Kakashi didn't know any sealing tech-
"Sealing Technique: Restriction Seal!" Kakashi yelled out as Naruto felt the soul slip.
"Well...Shit." Naruto stated while the coffin sinked back into the earth. "That was unexpected." Naruto stated. Smoke began rising out of the area, where the small battle took place. Naruto wasn't expecting Kakashi to know any sealing techniques, but then again...the man's sense was Minato Namikaze. Naruto waved it off as he pulled out a scroll and released some tri-pronged Kunai. Sasuke noticed the kunai, as Jiraiya showed him them.
"It still amazes me that you know the Hiraishin Technique." Sasuke stated. Sasuke removed his chokuto from it's sheath as he began channeling chakra to the blade. "Allow me?" Sasuke looked at Naruto while he released a mock bow. Sasuke began channeling raition chakra soon after and the blade's length increased. The amount of chakra Sasuke pumped into the blade was impressive as it grew. "Chidori Katana!" Sasuke stated as he swung the blade leveling the forest. A sound crash of tree's toppling over and such caused a lot of plant life and the surrounding area to look a mess, but the cuts were clean through.
"Impressive Uchiha." Naruto stated while he released his kunai into the air, it began it's arc down when Naruto began a few hand seals. "Kunai Shadow Clone Technique!" He stated while the kunai multiplied from one to one thousand covering the wreckage. Naruto vanished sweeping the area in the blink of an eye. But no sign of Kakashi. "Not a body, no blood, no nothing. Where did he go?" Naruto said out loud.
Suddenly the sound of crackling thunder appeared and Kakashi appeared from beneath a branch of tree's and limbs, covered in their leaves. His adaption to his surrounding and ability to blend in was amazing in itself. A basic shinobi tactic made into an Art. Naruto dodged the initial strike as Kakashi formed a half ram seal as the Raikiri grew from his hand into a massive bolt of lightning which took form into a wolf and began chasing Naruto with blinding speed. Right before Naruto would have been hit though, he vanished with the Hiraishin.
"Since when can he do that!" Naruto mused as he appeared beside Sakura. Sakura herself smirked a bit.
"You boy's having fun? Is it my turn now?" She stated with a gleem in her eye.
"OH by all means Oh mighty Haruno. Please, show us what you can do." Naruto stated before crossing his arms. Sakura walked up to the wreckage and balled up her fist. Naruto looked on a bit skeptical at first. He had made the mistake of suspecting that the wall of earth that Sakura had summoned was a Doton technique. When in reality it was...
-Boom!-
The earth began to shake in the surrounding area's as Naruto uncrossed his arm's a bit shocked. Sakura's strike began to leave cracks on the ground until the entire area before her began to sink and a small ravine appeared. Not bottomless worthy, but enough to cause someone to be stuck until they climbed out. The foliage began to slide down the slope she created via the ravine and Kakashi's eye widened a bit.
'Since when can she do that.' He thought. The Ninja hounds had seen a lot, but between having a forest disappear right over their heads, and now being in a land slide. They had just about had enough and lept into the air. The toad Sasuke had summoned uncamoflauged himself and stood on Sasuke's shoulder.
"I wonder why you even summoned me." the toad asked Sasuke to which Sasuke replied with a Hn. The toad disappeared after giving up the information on Kakashi's location, which was pretty useless now. Impatient as ever, Naruto. How they were ever going to make it as a stealth unit, he had no clue.
"Earth Release: Earth Wall!" Kakashi stated creating a wall of pure earth that erected itself at an angle allowing Kakashi to stand on it while the tree's slid down past him. "Impressive you three. But this is just about over. He stated as Kakashi's eye shined with an odd light. He removed a few kunai from his person with wires attached and threw them at Team Seven. 'Dodge this' he thought to himself.
Sasuke immediatly cut the wires, which in Kakashi's book was actually part of the trap, but they didn't need to know that. The kunai dropped where they stood and the wires laid limp before they suddenly began to glow. Sasuke could see chakra raidiating through the wires with his Sharingan and assumed that Kakashi was manipulating the wires, in actuallity it was a new technique Kakashi himself had created to catch his opponents off guard.
"Sealing Technique: Wire Barrier Formation!" Kakashi stated when the wires began to wrap around the group, even the cut ones, and errected a sealing array. The barrier looked simple enough but Naruto touched part of it quickly and recoiled in shock as his hand got a bit of a jolt from the barrier.
"Leave it to Kakashi Hatake to come up with an Electrict Barrier." Sasuke stated. Naruto looked for his Hiraishin Kunai and found them sliding into the ravine as well. "Guess we're stuck" Sasuke stated. Naruto didn't do stuck. Not one bit.
Naruto bit his thumb and began forming hand seals. "Summoning Technique!" He stated as a massive snake appeared. 'He wouldn't!' Kakashi thought, but he was disproved when Manda stood there in all his glory.
"Who DARES summon me to this pla...Oh, Naruto. It is you. How may I serve you Lord Naruto." Manda stated as Kakashi gawked at his former student. One of the most dangerous summons, and Naruto had him calling him Lord.
"This barrier is cramping my style. Do somethin about it would ya." Naruto stated as Manda bowed it's head and began to produce a venom that began to eat at the wires. The wires soon dissolved into Nothing as the snake looked at Kakashi.
"May I eat him, Lord Naruto." Manda said with a questioning look. Naruto thought about it for a moment and smiled.
"Not yet Manda. You can continue to feast in Otogakure, It still needs to be cleaned a bit. There's lot's of sacrifices for you there." Naruto said as the snaked bowed and disappeared. Jiraiya had told Sasuke that if Orochimaru or Naruto summoned Manda, that he was to summon Gamabunta to fight, as Manda was powerful, and barely bended to any will but it's own. But to see it so Docile infront of Naruto. It was a whole different story.
"Alright Kakashi, this battle has been fun, but it's time to end it." Naruto stated as he released a bit of Kurama's chakra. A cloak appeared around him as he began to bounce from foot to foot, feeling a bit lighter. After the final bounce he simply vanished and Kakashi was forced to block a blow from his right. The barrage of punishing blows coming in were a lot for the Hatake to handle, but he managed to redirect or block many of them, rarely letting a blow slip through his guard.
'He's fast.' Kakashi though as he returned fire with a few well placed punches and kicks. The two began a high paced taijutsu battle, trading blows with one another as it ended when Kakashi and Naruto's fist met each other resolving with a loud blast of chakra from their attacks. The ground beneath them cracked as they pushed off and Naruto and Kakashi began going through the same hand seals. Kakashi's eyes widened, since when did Naruto learn the technique!
"Chidori!" they both said as they ran towards each other. Naruto's chidori clashed with Kakashi's as they battled for dominance. Obviously the boy was much more of a genius that Kakashi had initially realized. As the chidori power struggle ended, Naruto and Kakashi pushed off once more as Kakashi dropped to a knee.
"What's wrong Hatake? Out of Juice..." Naruto stated. Of course the Jinchuriki would have more chakra than Kakashi, he just didn't know the boy's stamina was this much. Naruto looked at Kakashi and smiled. "This one should bring back memories." Naruto stated as he formed a few hand seals. Water particles began to swarm around him as he began to utilize a technique that Kakashi memorized once before.
"Water Release: Water Vortex Jutsu." Naruto stated as the concussive force of the water hit Kakashi as he crossed his arms, causing Kakashi to lay on the ground as Naruto spread his chakra around the area, vanishing. He appeared above Kakashi and released a barrage of kunai pinning the Kage to the ground. "It's over. concede."
Kakashi closed his Sharingan eye. "Alright. You win." Kakashi stated. Naruto snapped his fingers and the Kunai vanished in a yellow light as they appeared in a group near Naruto's hands as he sealed them once more. "Very Impressive Team Seven. I got to know...how did you all do that." Kakashi asked.
Sasuke started himself. "When I was with Jiraiya, he trained me in the Summoning Technique allowing me to summon Toads. He said it was something me and Naruto would have had in common. They are useful for stealth and reconosince if how Jiraiya himself uses them. We managed to master my sharingan abilities as well, so seeing through some of your movements was a bit easier. As well as that, I also trained with Chidori a bit to customize it's skills. I also managed to learn Rasengan from Jiraiya." He stated. Naruto was a bit shocked Jiraiya taught Sasuke the Rasengan, but he let it pass.
Sakura smiled a bit as she clenched her fists. "Lady Tsunade worked me into the ground. I was able to stay out the way of your attacks and wait for my moment to strike, but as for my strength, I believe that you know I have pretty good Control to begin with. So Mastering Lady Tsunade's strength wasn't that difficult for me. I'm also able to amplify it as well." She stated with a smile on her face. Brains and Brawns...in Sakura Haruno. That's something you don't hear every day.
Naruto smiled a bit. "When I left Konoha to train abroad, I signed the snake contract. Getting Manda to obey me was pretty easy, Kurama is very...persuasive. As for how I know the Chidori and a few other techniques. I liked the idea of copying Jutsu, so I did something that no other person in the shinobi world is capable of doing. I pushed myself to extreme limits, not only in Jutsu Theory, but ethics, creation, and also a few sensory techniques. I am able to sense all chakra within a fifty kilometer range. I can sense the amount being used, what type, and also sense the location the chakra is being gathered. This, coupled with my impressive reaction time and my memory allows me to recreate jutsu." Naruto finished.
That was impressive in itself. Each had reached high levels over the years, but Naruto's growth was a bit...unnatural. Kakashi didn't question it at the time, but he would look into it later. Seceretly of course. "Well congradulations. You beat the Sixth Hokage in a three on one battle. Hold your heads high." Kakashi stated. Naruto felt it was a hollow victory. Kakashi was strong on his own, had they not wore him down in the begining, Naruto would wondered how well Kakashi could have faired against him.
"Rest up. You head for Sunagakure tomorrow Morning. Gaara is safe for the time being, but it's no doubt Akatsuki will come after him again, this mission will be completed once Gaara's safety is varified. Dismissed." Kakashi stated as he disappeared in a puff of smoke.
"Didn't even see him replace himself with a Shadow Clone." Naruto stated as he placed his hands in his pocket and walked off. Sakura and Sasuke walked off behind Naruto. "Man...I'm dying for some Ramen for some reason." Naruto said as Sasuke and Sakura laughed a bit. They obviously had a lot of catching up to do. Maybe a nice hot bowl of ramen and some stories would pass the time for them.
