The third Kazekage ripped it's arm up as a black sand appeared and began to harden, turning into a giant spike as it flew towards the two puppets. Chiyo manipulated the puppets so that they would move out the way of the spike of sand as she herself moved to avoid it as well. Sasori flicked his fingers causing the puppet to manipulate the spike turning it once again into black sand, spreading out over the field and began to chase Chiyo and the puppets she wielded. Chiyo noticed his plan to try and trap her and used the puppet to block as they produced shields that protected her from the wave of sand, causing it to break down around them. She tried to move the puppets but realized that sand was blocking their joints causing them to not have as much mobility as before.
Another wave of sand was beginning to come down upon her again as she looked up a bit shocked at the massive pile of sand before Naruto appeared before her grabbing her with his Hiraishin and moving them out the way. "I thought I told you to stay out of it!" she yelled at the boy. Naruto looked at her with his impassive nature and began to wonder if it would have been so bad to let the woman suffer the fates of her puppets.
"As much as I would have loved to watch you buried under black sand..." Sasori stated. "You'll have to wait. This one has interfered in our battle for far too long." He stated as the third Kazekage utilized the Iron Sand once again. Naruto looked up at Sasori while Sakura stood beside him.
"Ready Haruno?" Naruto asked as he removed two tri-pronged kunai's from his sleeves. Sakura nodded as she fixed her gloves and began to dash foward. Sasori manipulated the sand with the puppet, causing it to turn into a barrage of Iron spikes that threatened to skewer Sakura. Sakura shocked both Sasori and Chiyo and began to move and twist to avoid the spikes. 'Didn't know the girl was that nimble' Naruto thought as he watched her move.
Sakura pulled her fist back as she launched a strike at the Kazekage puppet as Sasori pulled the strings on it back, moving the puppet back avoiding Sakura's attack. The explosion of earth that bursted out from beneath Sakura as she struck the ground caused the immediate area around her to collaspe causing a minor crater. She pulled her fist back as she gathered a bit of chakra to her legs and leapt forward to continue her assault. Sasori was not liking this girl, she could take out his puppets with a single hit. So many potential threats to his art, and himself. Sasori caused the puppet to release the sand into the air as it began to block out the sun.
"Let's see you dodge this.." he stated as the puppet caused it to rain spikes of sand. Naruto dropped a kunai while releasing one and appeared next to Sakura, grabbing her and disappearing as his kunai was impaled with multiple iron spikes breaking and shattering the poor thing. Sasori was getting tired of this and wasn't liking the way it was going. He was hoping he wouldn't have to utilize the other puppets he had, but the way things were going, he wondered if they'd even be enough. He had heard of the Yellow Flash and how he took out a small army with his kunai, he wondered if the blond could do the same thing. It would be troublesome to say the least. The Kazekage dropped to the ground as Sasori removed his cloak and revealed his body.
"The circumstances presenting themselves sure have become overwhelming. We didn't know you had this much strength. Obviously you're both threats. So by all means, I shouldn't hold back against any of you." He said as he began to release a large amount of chakra strings from his body. He decided to go all out and try to take them all down. Suddenly, he released a scroll as he connected a single string to the Third Kazekage, then the string multiplied. He activated the scroll and a large amount of puppets appeared blocking out the sky. "It's funny...I haven't had to use this in so long..." He laughed to himself. "It's been even longer, since I've had to use myself." he added on. "But never before have I had to actually use all three in combination. I'm truly enjoying this battle." he finished as the army of puppets launched themselves at Naruto and Sakura.
Chiyo finally overcame her shock as she released the scroll she had earlier. Before her appeared Ten white puppets each with their own weapons. The puppets appeared before Sakura and Naruto launching into the fray of the battle. Naruto smirked as he released a single kunai and charged a Rasengan as Sakura grabbed him and threw him into the air. As Naruto made his way down he added more chakra to the Rasengan smashing into the center of the puppets creating a crater from the huge rasengan. Sakura began to lay into the puppets with her massive strength blasting them back, as she avoided their attempts to strike her down. Sasori was dealing with the white-clad puppets as he began to launch flames from his palms causing them to disperse.
He jumped into the group of puppets with Blades on his back as he began to spun around, attempting to slice at the puppets and dismantle them with his speed. The puppets clashed their weapons, only being able to push his strikes and redirect them. The Kazekage puppet began raining down iron sand over Sasori's location, causing a few of the puppets to get caught in the sand, allowing for Sasori to take those white puppets down. Chiyo pulled back only eight of her puppets as she cursed. "Is that all you got...Grandmother." Sasori asked as he smirked a bit.
"Not yet child...I still have a few more tricks." she stated as she caused three of the puppets to get on top of each other. They began to create a small whirlwind that began sucking the Kazekage puppet and a large amount of Sasori's red cloaked puppets into their attack, turning them into dust with the power of the jutsu. "How do you like that boy!" Chiyo gloated.
Out of one hundred puppets, three people had manage to destroy over forty of them. And Sasori had only taken down four of Chiyo's if you counted the mother and father puppets. Sasoir pulled twenty puppets away from Naruto and Sakura, splitting his forces in half as he took on the last eight puppets that Chiyo held. He could take them down with some help. He launched forward into the puppets first cutting the one on top of the formation in half as his puppets swarmed the other two, catching them and destroying them with their weapons, causing them to be unable to function. Chiyo was now down to five of her puppets verses Sasori and twenty of his as he made his way towards her.
Sasori began to launch a bomb from his pouch as Chiyo recognized it as a poison smoke bomb and leapt back before it could explode, escaping the grasp of the poison. Her puppets would be fine, as they continued to fight within the cloud of poison. It wasn't too dark, so she could see through it. Naruto and Sakura had finally got the group of twenty puppets down to ten but were having trouble with the last amount of puppets. The more puppets they took down, the more puppets Sasori could manipulate with better skill. It seemed that when they would get down to the final five puppets, it would be an all out battle between Sasori and them.
With Sasori and his thirty puppets remaining, and Chiyo with her five, along with Naruto and Sakura, it seemed as if the battle would soon be coming to a close. Elsewhere, Sasuke and Deidara's battle was just heating up. After Sasuke had launched that chidori to attack Deidara, the man had been fleeing from the Uchiha for so long. Sasuke was starting to get aggravated with the way this man avoided their attacks. Deidara didn't have much clay left, and was pretty much running on empty. While he wasn't worried, Deidara was a bit afraid of what the Uchiha would do to him if he was captured. The look in Sasuke's eyes spelled murder. Deidara smirked a bit and decided to taunt his enemy.
"Do I offend you Uchiha?" Deidara stated. "Compared to your brother, you're not really that great ya know." Deidara stated. Looking for any visual outburst from Sasuke, he was a bit upset when Sasuke just furrowed his brows in anger only a bit more. He was hoping for a bigger outburst.
"I try not to follow in my brothers foot steps. I'll take that as a compliment for now. And if you hold still...I'll show you how much I appreciate that compliment!" Sasuke stated as he formed a few hand seals. Soon he breathed out three mid-sized fireballs that began to close in on Deidara. Deidara hopped up onto a higher branch as he flipped around landing on it as the fireballs met each other causing a blast of fire which Deidara could feel underneath him.
"Missed me!" Deidara stated as he pulled out a scroll. He was far enough now and the area looked perfect for him. While he didn't carry much clay on him, he did keep some sealed up in scrolls for emergencies, along which one of his pets that he created in advance. As he activated the scroll another pouch appeared and he began to swap out the one he was wearing. Now with full clay, he could finally fight back against Sasuke. "Now...time for us to really get this started!" he yelled out as a giant bird began to appear underneath him. The bird began to lift into the air as Deidara rode the bird around Sasuke, dropping small spiders made of clay around the Uchiha. Sasuke's eyes widened at the amount of explosives around him. "Art...Is an explosion!" he stated as he activated them causing a miniature mushroom cloud to appear from the explosion.
As he looked down for his opponent he began to feel unsatisfied. "Well...that didn't take too long." Deidara stated as suddenly a blade pireced his back hitting his chest.
"I have to agree." Sasuke stated. Deidara turned his head to see Sasuke..."It wasn't that long of a fight." Deidara stated as he looked back towards where Sasuke's body was supposed to be to see nothing there.
"How did you escape!" Deidara asked a bit angry at being tricked.
"Substitution." Sasuke replied. "Now...It's time I..."He stated as he pulled back but felt that his blade was stuck in something. Deidara began to loose his color as he turned into a clay construct. "What..." Sasuke stated as Deidara detonated his clone, blasting Sasuke off the bird. Sasuke's burnt form was falling from the sky as he began to correct himself landing on a tree. He had a few scratches and some burn marks, but he was ok for the most moment. Deidara came out the forest jumping back on his bird again. "This one's tricky." Sasuke stated as he formed a few hand signs. "Next time I'll infuse my attacks with lightning..." he stated.
Deidara looked at Sasuke's burnt form and began to laugh. "I can't believe you actually fell for it." Deidara stated before he looked at Sasuke. "If that's all you've got then this'll be easy." He stated as he began to add more clay to his bird as it began to take form. Sasuke was making his way to attack Deidara, but Deidara jumped off his incomplete art. Sasuke struck the beast with a Chidori spear, causing it to turn inert. Deidara frowned as his bomb could not explode. He formed a bird in mid air, causing it to fly up as he began to position himself, reaching for his last scroll. He wanted to keep it ready.
Sasuke looked at Deidara in the air. He was going to knock that bird down. He began to watch Deidara's movement's and began calculating the best position to knock him down. He knew Deidara's movements well in advance this time with his sharingan activated and focused solely on Deidara. He was ending this, now. Sasuke released three massive bursts of fireballs, shaped like dragon's head, Deidara attempted to avoid them, but his bird was hit as he was forced to eject from it. Deidara then jumped to the ground as he realized part of his cloak had been burnt off, exposing the mouth on his chest. Sasuke took note of that and made a mental note not to let him get clay there, he had no idea what it would do, but anything coming out of his hands packed a punch, what the hell did that mean for anything coming directly out of his chest. Sasuke waved his hand as a barrage of small needles made their way towards Deidara. The senbon shaped Chidori began making its way towards the blond as he was forced to dodge it.
"That...was close." Deidara noted as he began to launch small explosive animals. Some were quick snakes that slithered across the ground, some were moderately paced birds that were made to catch the Uchiha off guard, and some where slow spiders made to wait him out and catch him if the others should fail. Seeing the barrage of animals making their way towards him, he began to remove actual senbon from his pouch. He hadn't used them in a while, but with his Sharingan activated he would be able to strike and nullify those that were harmful. He began running as the fastest ones chased him and they began detonating as the birds waited and struck when he dodged. If he was to avoid the birds then the snakes would try to outmaneuver him but he began to strike the ones perceived to him as a threat. With his eyes shifting from target to target and him moving and flipping about to avoid the barrage of animals he was getting aggravated with this whole battle.
Sasuke noticed that clouds were gathering above them and he figured it had been long enough. Now was the time for him to end it. He formed a few hand seals as he activated his plan in action as he released the Chidori Nagashi from his body, nullifying those around him quickly then jumped back a far enough distance and rose his hand in the air. Suddenly Deidara looked at him.
"Finally surrendering eh?" Deidara asked as he looked at Sasuke's smirk. "What's the smirk for." he asked.
"It's over...You've lost." Sasuke replied. Deidara was offended that the Uchiha thought it would be over that quickly.
"You're delusional if you think that you taking out my earlier attacks would be enough to prove you could beat me...I've still got tricks up my sleeves" he stated as a clap of thunder seemed to echo in the area.
"While your attacks were interesting...this is all over now." He stated as it began to thunder and lightning heavily. Deidara looked around until he realized what was going on. This was one of the Uchiha's attack. He reached for his scroll as he prepared to unleash one of his more powerful creations.
"What ever you're planning..." He stated as he unleashed the scroll, "I won't let you finish!" Smoke began to surround Deidara before a massive clay dragon appeared. Sasuke smirked as he saw the beast take off towards him. Sasuke was still far enough away and could aim this attack as he needed to. Lightning came down and Struck the Uchiha as he began to guide it towards his target.
"Roar...Kirin!"
Deidara looked on in horror as the clay dragon, him, and his creations, were caught in the massive strike of lightning which damaged the surrounding area. With the attack completed, there was nothing but a pile of smoke and ash where the bolt hit. The destruction of the attack proving the magnitude of the amount of electrical energy that the attack held. It was over in an instant.
With Naruto and Sakura battling Sasori and his remaining puppets, a sudden bolt of lightning was seen in Sasuke's direction.
"That's-"
"Save it Haruno. The Uchiha can handle himself." Naruto added as she nodded and prepared to finish the fight with Sasori.
"It's seems I've greatly underestimated you." Sasori added as he tuned out the lightning strike. Naruto and Sakura looked back at Chiyo who had lost all but one of her remaining puppets. Sasori's line didn't look much better, He had four more puppets making it a five on five battle. Sasori was more than capable of utilizing these puppets to win, but he would have to sacrifice some if he wanted to survive. Sasori began making the plan in his mind as Naruto began to form a Chidori in his own hand. He wasn't close enough to figure out Sasuke's attacks yet, but he was going to figure them out sooner or later. As for now, he was going to focus on taking this puppet man down.
"Let's end this." Naruto stated as he dashed forward towards Sasori. Chiyo moved her puppet behind him to support him as Sakura jumped back, now entering her medic mode as she began to let them handle the first assault. Now that the numbers had died down, she could focus on her roll, and began to heal Chiyo from the minor injuries she had. Chiyo was breathing hard and coughing so Sakura began to do a diagnostic medical technique until she realized something was wrong. Her eyes went wide as she began to realize the grim truth.
"You...you're poisoned!" Sakura stated as Naruto's chidori connected to a puppet. Chiyo's puppet faltered as Chiyo's chakra gave out and she couldn't keep the strength or concentration to wield the puppet any more, one of Sasori's puppet smashed it and made a beeline for Sakura and Chiyo. Chiyo smirked with blood on her lips as she removed an orb, throwing it at Sasori.
'How so like you Sasori, wait until your opponent is vulnerable and then aim to strike. That will be your undoing.' she thought as the puppet bursted forward at Sasori creating a beast that swallowed Sasori, pinning him to the side of a stone. Sasori tried to free himself but couldn't, as the puppets began to collapse. "You've lost...Sasori." Chiyo stated as she fell to her knee.
Sakura began trying to heal Chiyo, but to remove the poison she would need absolute concentration. It was going to take a minute to isolate and remove the poison. She began to get to work as Chiyo laid down on the ground and began to make an incision. Placing her palms over Chiyo, she saw Chiyo fading into conciousness and winced a bit.
"How long..." Sakura asked.
"A while...His weapons were poisoned. Since neither of you had been hit from Sasori's attacks, I didn't feel a need to tell anyone, it would only add more worry about Sasori's strikes causing you to over calculate his attacks." Chiyo added. She blinked a bit.
"Remain still...I need to remove the poison." Sakura stated as she concentrated. Naruto looked at the puppets on the field as he turned his back from the immobilized Sasori. He glanced at the puppet once more, until he noticed something. There was a peice around the chest missing. He looked back to the puppets and noticed a gap where one of them had belong. It didn't take long before he heard a yell of pain before looking back to see Sasori, holding one of his blades in Chiyo's chest with Sakura on the ground.
"Stubborn old fool." Sasori stated as he removed the blade, making his way towards Sakura. Sakura pushed herself off the ground avoiding a strike from Sasori's weapon. After sustaining herself she looked over at Chiyo's still body.
"You heartless bastard." Sakura stated as Naruto walked over towards Sakura. Two on one was favorable odds, but he needed to think. That gap in his puppet had something to do with him, and Naruto needed to figure it out. "How did you escape!" she asked.
"That's for me to know...and you to die." Sasori stated as he launched towards Sakura with blade in hand launching strikes as Sakura avoided them. She looked for an opening and after finding one let her fist fly directly into Sasori's stomache, breaking the puppet.
"Go to hell!" she shouted out as her fist connected. The peices of the puppet on the ground didn't move and she relaxed a bit turning to Naruto. As she did, she heard a noise behind her, and heard the sounds of wood hitting wood, as the puppet reassembled itself.
"You're gonna have to do better than that." Sasori stated as he thrusted the blade foward. Naruto appeared in front of Sakura with a kauni, holding the blade between the prongs.
"Allow me..." Naruto stated before tapping Sasori on his shoulder and tagging him with a hiraishin marker. Sasori saw this and ejected his heart, as Naruto struck the puppet, trying to stop him. With the puppet's body marked, Sasori needed a new host. Naruto threw a kunai at the heart, as it entered the body of another puppet, missing. Naruto flashed to the puppet, using the kunai that was in the ground from his miss, with a chidori in his hand. He aimed for the puppet but it moved it's arm, and twisted the strike as the lightning hit in the opposite shoulder. Naruto removed a blade and stabbed the puppet in the contained heart as Sasori gasped. Naruto smirked.
"Finally got you..." Naruto stated. Sasori didn't need to ask how he figured it out, as that was what Naruto was aiming for. Naruto may not of known what it was, but if the puppet master was so intent on protecting that, it was valuable enough to destroy. Blood ran down onto the blade as Sasori's "body" fell limp and passed onto the ground. Sakura looked at the body of Sasori and the body of Chiyo and let her head hang.
"Let's go find Uchiha..." Naruto stated grabbing a scroll and sealing Sasori and Chiyo's body in separate scrolls. Sakura nodded and disappeared in a search for Sasuke. The battle was over, but they had lost a comrade.
