Hello again ! I am so grateful for the supportive reviews ! Thank you so much, it feels good to be back ! Also, I must tell you that I will soon wrap up this story (maybe 3 or 4 chapters left) and then I will continue with Utterly Confused. Moreover, I have an idea for a new story which will also include Magnus and Alec. What would you guys think of a supernatural AU story involving vampires, werewolves and warlocks? Would you be into that? Tell me what you think. Also, for this chapter you could check out the song I've listened to while writing: Sarah Blaine- If I Never Get To Heaven. You can find it on Youtube.

"I have a bad feeling about leaving her there." Jace complained as he, Isabelle and Simon made their way back to the Institute through the crowded New York streets.

"We all do, but there's nothing we could have done about it. The Silent Brothers were pretty clear." Isabelle stated.

"Besides Alicante, the Silent City is one of the safest places in which she could be. Plus, the Brothers need time to try and eliminate the demonic presence. Although, it is very curious how she could have been posessed. We have special rituals performed on us at birth in case someone tries to pull something like this on us." Simon added, pondering.

"She is not actually possesed. The Brothers later explained that it was similar to posession, but not quite. The demon is not in her. It is simply sending her messages. It mostly controls her unconscious, rather than her conscious." Jace explained.

"Yeah, she seemed perfectly fine during the day, but at night she could barely get any sleep, and when she did, she would have these strange dreams and flashes." Isabelle confirmed worriedly.

"At least we now know she is not going crazy." Simon gulped.

"And I didn't believe her.." Isabelle trembled.

"We were all skeptical, it's no one's fault, Izzy." Simon whispered, stroking her back affectionately." I, for one, am positive that the Silent Brothers will be able to help her and then we can all put this story behind us." he encouraged.

"And have our babies, and live happily ever after." Isabelle tried lightening the mood.

Simon chuckled."Yes, I think so, too. It will all be fine. Right, Jace?" Simon asked, but he was met with no answer. He looked behind him where Jace had been just minutes before only to find the alley empty.

"Typical. He had to go alone." Simon hissed.

"Well, we're going after him, right? Who knows what he's going to do?" Isabelle demanded.

Simon sighed and grabbed her hand as they began retracing Jace's steps back to the Silent City, praying to the Angel that he had not gotten himself into more trouble trying to get to Clary.

The loud clang of the iron cell bars echoed through the desolate chamber, as the Brothers left Clary alone with her thoughts. She sat on the cold hard bed and patted the harsh blanket which she was supposed to use through the night. Outside it was raining in sheets, droplets hitting the edge of the narrow cell window, the sound both comforting and disturbing at the same time. Clary shivered and rubbed her hands together as her eyes traced the shapes she was able to faintly make out through the pitch black. She was in prison, or the Shadowhunter's equivalent of a mundane prison. She was deprived of her freedom, though she had come willingly. She prayed to the Angel that her tourment would soon come to an end and she would finally be able to have a somewhat normal shadowhunter life with Jace.

Clary felt utterly lost, as if her mind was hers and not at the same time. She could still sense the aftershock of the pain she had gone through, the veins in her temples still throbbing from time to time. She applied pressure on the spots she was aching using both her pointing and middle fingers as she closed her eyes and lay on her back on the bed. She concentrated on remembering specific details from her eeric dreams which could serve as clues. The symbols on the door and the yellow-eyed fog monster had been clear signs of demonic presence which she was now surprised she had not been able to recognize. Her mind had been such a blur and she had been so terrified that she had missed the clues completely. Still, up to this day she could not shake the feeling that she knew the woman in her second dream. Her voice, her eyes, especially her eyes she was sure she had seen before. However, she did not know many elderly people, as most shadowhunters did not exactly get to die of old age.

She started drumming her fingers against her thigh as she thought about the exact moment the dreams and signs-the ominous shawl and onesie- had begun. After her conflict with Sebastian and Aline she thought she could finally live happily. As images of her altercations with them flashed through her mind Clary's eyebrows drew together as realisation dawned upon her. Jace's appearance from her dream began contorting, the length of his hair decreased as it was no longer curly and blond, but slick and silver. His eyes were pitch black, not golden pools, and he was slightly taller. The old woman's white hair darkened and the wrinkles on her face softened revealing beautiful flawless skin and almond-shaped eyes.

Clary gasped loudly and sat up straight from her bed, her eyes widened in shock. Of course !

"Aline !" she breathed out.

"Took you long enough." Aline's voice echoed through the dark as she sarcastically clapped her hands together, her face appearing in the small light created by the moon.

I know it's short but I just wanted to give you guys something and finally clear the mystery! Though I'm sure most of you had guessed by now. I'm not very bright, it was quite predictable.*blushes* Hope it's not too disappointing !

Kisses!
