Chapter 10: The arrival of Kou and Zagan (pt1)

Last time….
Robin's POV
I walked over to where Sindbad and the other general were based and I bumped into Mor. I smiled and the pair of us walked together.
"The dance was really nice Mor! You should dance more often!" I said. She smiled back.
"Thank you. Robin… What are we to do in such as cheery place….?"
"I don't know. But I'm sure adventure and danger will come our way again so I'm not going to get used to this." I said. All of a sudden Masrur appeared, offering us food. I violently shook my head while Mor sat down to eat. I sighed at the rude comments Sharrkan was making until Ja'far came along.
"Ja'far how busy will you be tomorrow?" I asked.
"Quiet busy actually, I don't know if we can spar. Maybe ask Spartos or Dracon as I'm sure they would like to help." I nodded. I then saw Aladdin and Alibaba making their way towards us. I smiled.
"Ah welcome back you two. Right I'll introduce you to my generals." After introducing us to the generals and after the festival Sindbad mentioned that Kou was sending some of their royalty to study here.
"Ah Robin!" I nodded at Sindbad.
"Leo messaged me saying he's sending a teacher for you from Neathia to help you train." I groaned.
"What's so wrong with that Robin?" Aladdin asked.
"Because, when my brother tries to set up something to train me I usually end up knowing more than the trainer before he starts teaching…. I hope he has done a good job this time…"
Current events….
Aladdin's POV
It was the day the people of Kou were supposed to arrive. We all waited for Kou to arrive, I say all but Robin hadn't arrived yet. When the prince walked off of the boat I was reminded of the Kou princess I had met in the plains. The boy bowed at Sindbad.
"I'm the fourth prince of the Kou Empire, Ren Hakuryuu." Sindbad smiled.
"I heard about you from his majesty, the emperor, I welcome you."
"I thought of meeting you even if my father would not command me."
"That's an honour. I will patiently hear what you have to say to me. By the way, didn't I already meet the person behind you?" I looked in shock to see the princess from Balbaad. Princess Ren Kougyoku!
"Hello everyone! What Have I missed?" I gulped when I heard Robin from behind us. I watched as she stopped for a brief second, walked up to Kougyoku and then bowed. My eyes widened at what she was doing.
"Princess Kougyoku, I apologise for my actions in Balbaad. As princess of Neathia I Humbly ask for forgiveness." Everyone's jaws dropped as well as Kougyoku's at Robin. She then smiled briefly.
"I forgive you. You were only doing what a warrior princess would do, as I have heard that is what Neathia is like. By the way… May I speak to you for a second?" Robin looked up and nodded the two went over to one side for a second and then Robin turned around with a dark look on her face.
"Go ahead… Thank you for informing me. I will take action against my brother when I see him next for you…" Robin walked to my side and sighed.
"What happened?"
"Wait for it…" My eyes widened as the red haired princess pulled out a sword and went to strike Sindbad. Sindbad dodged it and looked on in shock.
"DAMN YOU SINDBAD! I CANNOT FORGIVE YOU! FIGHT TO THE DEATH WITH ME SINDBAD! YOU DESERVE DEATH FOR THE BRUTAL ACT OF DEFILING THE BODY OF A YOUNG MAIDEN!" Kougyoku screamed after equipping her Djinn's sword. My jaw dropped.
"D-DEFILING!?" Sharrkan, Yam and Alibaba yelled in shock. Ja'far then went to strangle Sindbad.
"SIN! WHAT DID YOU DO!?" Sindbad paled.
"N-nothing." He stuttered. Ja'far went to the princess' side.
"What's the meaning of this, princess!?" Ja'far asked in a panicked voice which caused the princess in question to run to a court lady and cry. The man we had saw in Balbaad, Ka Koubun, took over and explained and asked for Sindbad to explain his actions.
Robin's POV
I sighed at how out of proportion the accusations were getting. Soon enough Sin had enough and began yelling.
"AHHHHHHH! I'M OUT OF PATIENCE! I WAS A FOOL FOR THINKING YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND IF WE TALKED ABOUT IT! YAMURAIHA! PROVE MY INNOCENCE WITH YOUR MAGIC!" Sindbad demanded. Yam sighed and asked if he was sure he didn't do a thing.
"What are you talking about?" Alibaba asked. Yam beckoned Sin and Kougyoku to come over to her.
"I will show you. What really happened. Your ruhk's will talk to us and they will tell us the truth through my magic" Ka Koubun looked horrified at the thought but Kougyoku said she wanted the truth. I watched in awe as the water in the replica of the Kou empire palace took on Sin and Kougyoku's forms.
"WOW! Yam-san this is amazing!" I exclaimed while Alibaba looked in shock and Aladdin asked his teacher what it was. Yam explained and then the two began to narrate what was unfolding. Eventually we found that nothing had really transpired.
"DID YOU SEE IT? I DID NOT DO ANYTHING!" I chuckled quietly as Sindbad's reaction everyone apologised and it was revealed to be Ka Koubun's fault. All of a sudden a boy with a scar on his face, grey eyes and black hair apologised to Sindbad. I studied his face and his eyes seemed ever so slightly sad. I wonder what he's been through… the boy then walked off, deep in thought.
I tapped Sindbad's arm and he turned to face me.
"Did my brother give you some time that the people from Neathia were coming?" Sin smiled and pointed to the sky.
"Look to the sky and you'll see." Eh? I looked out to see and looked upwards to see a huge dragon with what looked like my family crest on.
"EEEEHHHHHH!?" I said in shock. I looked between Sindbad, Aladdin, Alibaba, Mor and the dragon. Within a few minutes the thing landed next to us and two twins, roughly a year younger than Leo Jumped off its back. I looked on in shock. They wore identical clothing, slightly similar to what Leo's old assassin uniform looked like, both had blonde hair and red eyes. The only difference between them was that one looked happier than the other.
"Ahh Hime It's a pleasure to meet you." I felt my jaw drop, they were speaking in what seemed like Japanese. I felt Aladdin poke me.
"What's they saying?" Aladdin asked.
How it's a pleasure to meet me… I smiled at the two strangers and replied in the language they addressed me in.
"The pleasure is all mine. May I ask for the names of my teacher?" I watched as the two men smiled.
"My name Ramesses Geminus and my stone faced brother is Ramessu Geminus." I nodded and smiled.
"It is nice to meet you both. I am Robin-"
"Hime we know. Shall we switch to the language of those outside, it seems your friends are confused and I wish to talk to King Sindbad." I nodded at what the blunt and cold twin said. I watched as He walked over to Sindbad and began Talking to him. Ramesses, the happier twin, then clapped me on the shoulder.
"Right then Hime. Where shall we start?" I smiled.
"What did you have planned?" I said leading him towards the Palace. I turned briefly to my friends.
"I'll see you all later!"
*time skip*
Aladdin's POV
I stared at the pretty chains which had been made for Mor.
"They're really beautiful. You should try them out Mor!" Mor then practised kicking and the chains smacked us in the face and we got tangled. After talking for a bit Robin ran into the yard panting, shallow cuts covering her cheeks and arms. She stopped next to us to breathe.
"Ha- stupid- ha- brother. Ha-ha. Need water." I quickly gave her a cup of water which she downed in an instant and gasped.
"Robin, What happened!?" Alibaba said in shock no one had seen her so worn out before.
"Ha… They are… really… good… teachers…. Cant… stop..."
"OI HIME! DON'T THINK YOU CAN RUN FOREVER!" Robin turned to see the two males from Neathia. Ramesses smiled to his brother.
"Hey Ramu, shall we bring her friends into this." The colder twin nodded and lunged for us. THUD!
Robin grunted as the weight of the two twins slammed into her waiting hands, she kept them out of our reach.
"Ha- Just because I'm a little tired… does not mean you can get away with this." Robin grunted and pushed the twins a couple of metres away. Robin changed her stance to offensive and waited for the twins. The two sighed.
"We're gonna call it a day. Meet us in the same place but when the sun is rising." Robin blinked a couple of times and nodded, letting them walk off.
Robin then led on the grass next to us breathing heavily.
"Alibaba Let's train together!" I said and Alibaba nodded. Robin got up as well.
"I wanna fight against you both as well!" She said pulling out a knife from her belt. I nodded. We stood in a triangle.
"HARHARL INFIGAR!"
"AMON'S SWORD!"
"HELIOS' FLAME!" The three of us launched attacks at on another, both Alibaba and Robin's swords absorbed my flame magic and my borg protected me. Robin sighed and Alibaba grinned.
"Your magic doesn't work on us!" Robin smiled and slammed her sword into Alibaba's.
"Still you should keep your guard up Alibaba!" Alibaba grunted, withdrew from Robin and went to attack.
"Sorry to interrupt your training…" A confident voice said. We all turned around and saw Kougyoku and Hakuryuu. We all stopped and put down or away whatever we were using.
"I received an order from King Sindbad and was searching for you." Hakuryuu said and Kougyoku said she was accompanying him.
"From Sindbad?!" Alibaba and Robin said in confused voices.
"What is the order?" Mor asked.
"Stay together with them, act together with them and learn from them! Please treat me well from today onwards."
"Eh?"
"I'm sorry?!"
"What do you mean by that?" and he explained what Sindbad had meant.
Kougyoku smiled at me.
"In Balbaad many harsh things happened between us but for the moment there is a truce. So shouldn't we get along?" I nodded
"She's right…"
"Aladdin!?" Mor said in shock. I shook hands with Kougyoku.
"Nothing will change, even if we quarrel… And I don't want to be a bother to Mister Sindbad!"
"That's right. Let's leave behind what happened then… Let's be friends!" Kougyoku said. We gripped each other's hands painfully tight and began yelling at each other. Robin then tapped Kougyoku's shoulder.
"Princess let go of my magi or I shall act under the name of Guardian rather than the princess of Neathia." Robin said glaring at Kougyoku with dark eyes. We both let go and I blew on my painful hand.
"LOOK AT THIS BRUISE! There will be traces left because of you!" Kougyoku yelled. Robin sighed and I apologized but then smiled.
"But are you sure it wasn't just some powder that was removed? Your hand has a lot of makeup, you know that…?" Robin then hoisted me over her shoulder.
"H-Hey! Robin!?" Robin smiled at me.
"I'm getting you out of here before you cause any more trouble!" With that Robin ran from Kougyoku and I poked my tongue out at her.
*mini time skip*
Hakuryuu's POV
Later that day I, along with the four I had met earlier were summoned to Sindbad's room.
"I've gathered you here to send you on a dungeon conquest!" Sindbad declared.
"DUNGEON CONQUEST!?" Alibaba, Aladdin, Morgiana and Robin all looked at Sindbad in shock.
"You are already powerful… and I've been searching for people who can help me conquer a dungeon. I want you to go!"
"Dungeon conquest huh…" Aladdin said excitedly
"We haven't explored one since Amon!" Alibaba stated
"Yeah and this time you two won't have me leaving you notes." Robin laughed.
"Though you told us you want us to go…"
"Where is that dungeon…?" Sindbad looked wistful and smiled. He explained the whereabouts of the dungeon.
*Time skip*
Robin's POV
I began stretching on the deck of the boat while Mor looked out to sea. I stretched my legs to loosen the joint when what looked like a seahorse burst from the ocean.
"Leave it to me!" A familiar voice yelled. Pisti! While stretching I watched as she tamed the beast and sent it back into the sea. Aladdin and Alibaba were riding dolphins in the ocean. That brings back memories of my old world… never mind! Eventually Aladdin and Alibaba came back onto the ship.
"THANKS PISTI!"
"Shouldn't you call me "Miss" like you do with Yamu? I'm a year older than Alibaba!"
"EEEEEEEEEHHHH!?" I laughed at Aladdin and Alibaba's reactions and began stretching my upper body. I sighed as Pisti and Mor then began having a girls talk.
"Everyone, Lunch is ready!" I smiled as Hakuryuu bought out food which he had cooked.
After lunch I went to cleaning my rapier and knife.
"ROBIN! ALIBABA! WE CAN SEE THE ISLAND!" Aladdin yelled with excitement. Eventually we arrived at a small rural village. Children ran about laughing and grinning while men hauled in fish. What a nice atmosphere!
"Where's the garrison? He told us to go there first…" Alibaba said.
"Hey, you're late Alibaba. We've been waiting for you." My jaw dropped at the sight before me. It was Ahbmad and Sahbmad! The two explained why they were here. Children came up to me and tugged my trousers I bent down and smiled.
"Miss! Here! Here!" I smiled so their language is what I'd thought it would be right. I smiled and accepted the necklace of seashells from them.
"Thank you! It's really pretty. I will treasure it." I said in the language and the children squealed in delight and painted my face. I smiled and put the necklace on. I reached into my shoulder bag and pulled out some fruit and a couple of jewel which I still had left in there from Amon. I smiled and shared the lot between the two kids who then ran off laughing with joy.
*the next day*
I smiled as the boats took us to the dungeon. Once the people left I smiled.
"Right Let's go!" I said, punching the air with my fist.
"But how will we get back?" Alibaba smiled.
"I told them I would light a fire if we wanted picking up."
"If it comes to that… I will carry you all across from one reef to another." I laughed at Mor.
"Mor, reefs are fragile ya know! We then plunged into the forest.
"Uwah I'm so hot!" I sighed and hoisted Aladdin onto my back.
"Better?" I said and he smiled.
"Yeah! Look over there! That's Zagan!" I saw something catch my eye and I could hear something moving fast toward us.
"Um guys…."
"Something was shining just now…" All of a sudden vines appeared around us one wrapped itself around myself and the other around Aladdin, dragging us to the dungeon entrance.
"ALADDIN! ROBIN!" I looked in horror as I was pulled away.
"ALIBABA, MOR, HAKURYUU WATCH OUT!" I yelled and then I blacked out. I then awoke what seemed like minutes later on a small island high above the floor of the dungeon. Mor picked up everyone bar from myself. Hakuryuu began to complain and I sighed.
"I'll go down first to check if it's safe!" I said jumping off the island and plummeting downwards. I gently landed on the ground and looked around to see what looked like a verdant paradise. Mor then landed next to me with the boys.
"This… THIS IS THE ZAGAN DUNGEON!" Alibaba exclaimed.
"INCREDIBLE! IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!" I sighed at the pair's antics. I drew my rapier as I could hear something coming.
"Robin? Robin-sama?" I put a finger to my lips and crept forwards to see a turtle-like creature with fangs.
"You… Look super delicious…" it growled I sighed but then more appeared.
Everyone apart from myself opened doors around the room and plants and other creatures began attacking. I sighed.
"YOU LOT STOP IT!" I yelled and everyone froze. I sighed then smiled at the creatures.
"I apologize for what my friends have done, please go back to your homes as we mean you no harm." I said in a gentle voice. With that the creatures left.
"Robin how…?"
"Simple if you'd had looked carefully most seemed to be going on what seemed like a maternal protecting instinct. We intruded on their homes and they felt threatened and fearful for their children, who wouldn't attack us?" I said with one hand on my hip.
"Everyone, over here!" I, along with the others walked over to Mor.
"I've found a hidden path…" I sighed at the small gap. After crawling through we entered an orchard. We walked through seeing the creatures work like a civilisation.
"As long as we advance calmly while keeping to the rules of this dungeon we'll have nothing to fear!" I smiled at Alibaba's enthusiasm. We followed some sunflower creatures until we came across a bear like one.
"Spare me some honey?" The thing asked. Everyone's eyes widened.
Very quietly, I could just hear the sound of an instrument being played. Mor looked upwards with me.
"Just now…" I whispered.
"I heard something coming from above…" Mor and I looked at each other in confusion.
The beast still demanded honey and the flowers trembled.
The thing lashed out and I grabbed its arm before it could harm the creatures. They ran while Alibaba and Aladdin looked in shock.
"GIVE ME HONEY!" It yelled. It withdrew its hand and I let go and readied my rapier. The thing ran and went towards Hakuryuu who froze. Mor grabbed the things arm. I smiled.
"Thanks Mor!" I jumped onto the arm and ran up it and landed a couple of strikes before she kicked it.
"ALIBABA!" we yelled in sync.
"AMON'S SWORD!" Alibaba slashed at it.
"HONEYY!"
"I told you we don't have any! HALHARL INFIGAR!" The thing ran away screaming while on fire.
"Aladdin you okay?" I asked and he gave me a thumbs up.
"Um…" we all turned to Hakuryuu.
"Lady Morgiana, sorry for what happened because of me… And also Aladdin, Alibaba, Robin… I will not be a hindrance from now on!"
After that we heard a noise from the other room and found the girl who had took us here. After comforting her a Voice yelled out.
"I WILL NOT LET YOU DO THAT!" I turned to see a Djinn… It couldn't be…
"You…You will do me a favour and not bully my cute little bears alright? Welcome to my stylish dungeon! I'm the 61st Djinn, Zagan." So it was Zagan. He grabbed the girl.
"LET HER GO!" Hakuryuu yelled.
"What should I do…? After you say something like that to me…? This girl~ I wonder where you are most delicious?" I clenched my fists, how dare he!
"YOU BASTARD!" Alibaba and Hakuryuu yelled. All of a sudden Amon appeared.
"Sorry Alibaba. I used a little of your Magoi… I have to confirm something with him." Amon said staring at the Djinn.
"Tsk… Amon… of all things… the most nagging, stinking old man…"
"Zagan… Do you still intend not to choose a King?"
"That's right! I really hate humans! That's why I will not choose a human, and go there in that ugly world on the other side where humans hate each other… Uoooeh I feel so awful… I will not go there even if they kill me!" Zagan left with the girl saying if we reach the treasury then we would let her go.
"Alibaba let's go!
*mini time skip*
"For my next stage… You will be divided into three groups. Two pairs and one solo fighter."
"I have a bad feeling about this…" I said as three doors appeared.
"How are we going to do this?" Hakuryuu asked. I sighed.
"It would make more sense for Alibaba and Aladdin to pair up and you and Mor to pair up. I'll go on my own!"
"EH ROBIN!?" I smiled while Zagan looked at me.
"What makes you so confident girl?" I laughed.
"Because… I can go all out and not worry about hurting anyone if I lose it!" Zagan looked more confused.
"I wouldn't underestimate me. Mor can you take my bags? All I'll need are my weapons which are on me. I headed towards the middle door and smiled.
"See ya in a while!"
"Well then… Inside each path there are goals but it all the groups don't reach the goals then no one can advance... Off you go then!"
