Chapter 11: Zagan (pt 2) and Helios Equip
Last time…
Robin's POV
"For my next stage… You will be divided into three groups. Two pairs and one solo fighter."
"I have a bad feeling about this…" I said as three doors appeared.
"How are we going to do this?" Hakuryuu asked. I sighed.
"It would make more sense for Alibaba and Aladdin to pair up and you and Mor to pair up. I'll go on my own!"
"EH ROBIN!?" I smiled while Zagan looked at me.
"What makes you so confident girl?" I laughed.
"Because… I can go all out and not worry about hurting anyone if I lose it!" Zagan looked more confused.
"I wouldn't underestimate me. Mor can you take my bags? All I'll need are my weapons which are on me. I headed towards the middle door and smiled.
"See ya in a while!"
"Well then… Inside each path there are goals but it all the groups don't reach the goals then no one can advance... Off you go then!"
Current Events…
Robin's POV
I walked along an arched corridor, statues which looked like chess pieces littered the passageway.
Robin are you alright?! I sighed, since being separated Aladdin was panicking that I was on my own.
Aladdin for the final time, I'm fine!
It's just….
Don't worry about me! It would annoy me more if you got hurt worrying over me. I'll be fine, you know I am stronger than I look!
Fine… Be careful… I smiled to myself.

All of a sudden what looked like a knight piece raised its sword and swung it at me. I flipped out of harm's way. So that's why… Divide and conquer, I have always hated that phrase.
"HELIOS!" I grabbed the draconic katana and swung it at the knight, shattering it.
"Hoho, little girl what is that?" I saw Zagan next to me. I sighed.
"Why should I explain to you?" I said walking onwards, he followed.
"BECAUSE I'm curious… what are you?" I groaned.
"I used to be an assassin… from another world….." Zagan looked intrigued.
"Ahh Neathia… Can that spirit inhabit your body?" I sighed and saw the goal up ahead.
"Possibly… question, why haven't any more monsters attacked me?" Zagan grinned
"Because I don't want them too. I hope you reach the treasury guardian… I would like to talk to you more…" Zagan disappeared as the door in front of me opened. I saw that everyone else had fared worse than I had.
"ROBIN!" I was pulled into a hug by Aladdin. I saw the bruises and burns on his arms.
"I hope you didn't get those because you were worrying about me!" I said after getting my bag from Mor. I opened it and pulled out some salve. I motioned for Aladdin to come closer. I opened the pot and placed some on the burns. He winced and then smiled.
"Thank you…" I smiled. All of a sudden Hakuryuu sat bolt upright, sweating. I smiled at him and put away the salve.
"Welcome back to the land of the conscious. Oww Aladdin…" I said in a joking tone when Aladdin pinched my ear.
"Are you alright? You looked like you were having a nightmare."
"We finished the three path trial. Mor carried you here. Robin stop pretending that it hurt!" I grinned, Hakuryuu looked sad or annoyed I couldn't tell which. We walked on through the dungeon, I sighed as nothing had come to bother us.
"HEY~ You~! It's me, Zagan~! You're doing pretty well~~! Well you're really strong and I've started to admire you~~ BUT there is one among you that isn't in your league. OH who is he~ who could it be~? OH the scar face! Aren't you a bother! You aren't qualified to be they're comrade. WEAKLING~~! HAHAHA!" I sighed.
"Zagan if you're gonna be a pain please be one to someone else." I said whistling.
"Hakuryuu don't listen to him…" Hakuryuu turned to us with tears in his eyes.
"I ALREADY KNOW THAT!" and he began crying. My hand hit my forehead. Really?! In a dungeon of all places…
"My I made the weakling cry~~!"
"SHUT UP YOU STUPID MASKED PERVERT!" My eyes widened.
"Calm down Hakuryuu!" Alibaba said. Hakuryuu grabbed Alibaba by the shirt.
"SHUT UP! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU ANYWAY! WHY IS SOMEONE AS IRRESPONSIBLE AS YO SO STRONG!? YOU'RE SOMEONE WHO ABANDONED HIS COUNTRY AND STARTED FUCKING AROUND IN SINDRIA!"
"Wait Hakuryuu that's too much…!" Mor said slightly annoyed.
"SHUT UP SUPERWOMAN!"
"Calm down Hakuryuu…"
"YOU SHOULD SHUT UP TOO, CHIBI ASSISSTANT!" I sighed.
"Man… You're almost as bad as Leo or when Raven was still around…" I whispered and bent down to Hakuryuu who was on the floor. I wiped away the tears on his face and smiled.
"Hakuryuu there's no need to cry. I know you're a strong person… just ignore this idiot kay…" I said in a gentle voice. He sniffed a couple of times and fell silent. I stood back up and sighed, dragging my hand through my fringe.
"Robin seriously how old are you…?"" Alibaba asked looking slightly shocked.
"I suppose you gain an older mental age once you kill several hundred people before you hit the age of 8. Also having Leo-nii as a brother may factor into it…" I said with a shrug.
"Hakuryuu… we should move soon…" Alibaba said with caution.
"Leave me behind… I cannot remain with you any longer…" Silence filled the air and I sighed. After Alibaba pressed Hakuryuu he found the prince's weapon against his throat. Eventually after the two had shouted at each other Hakuryuu asked to join us. After Zagan's directions we walked into another orchard. For the first time in years I felt pain in my chest. I gripped my shirt and I heard my breathing become ragged.
"Robin?!"
"Something's not right here…" Our eyes landed on the trees and my eyes widened… the bodies of humans in the trees.
"LOOK~~! All the villagers became young trees~~! By absorbing magoi from them… the dungeon creatures are born! Cute isn't it?" I could only just hear Zagan over the screaming that seemed to fill my ears. Can no one else hear it? I covered my ears but the screaming continued. I watched as Alibaba and Aladdin rushed to the trees while I dropped to my knees.
"MAKE IT STOP!" I yelled as the screaming became louder. I closed my eyes and hugged my knees.
Aladdin's POV
"MAKE IT STOP!" I turned from the Tran people to see Robin on the floor curled up into a ball.
"My, My~~ what's wrong little guardian~~? Something a matter~~~?" Zagan sang in a tormenting voice.
"SHUT UP!" I yelled while running to her. Tears streamed down her face as her hands covered her ears.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY FRIEND!?" I yelled angrily at Zagan. Zagan shrugged.
"I haven't done a thing… Ah can she hear their screams~~~? Ah she might be hearing their ruhk scream in pain." I looked at Robin and hugged her.
"Make… it …. Stop…." She whispered. Alibaba came over and picked her up.
"Let's get out of here. To the treasury… to save the people of the village!" After leaving the place Robin's breathing returned to normal and I could hear light breathing.
"She fell asleep…" I looked to see creatures coming towards us. After fighting we reached a clearing where Zagan was waiting. Alibaba set Robin down.
"ZAGAN! RELEASE THE VILLAGERS IMMEDIATELY! OR WE'LL PUT AN END TO YOUR JOKES!" Zagan poked his tongue out at Alibaba.
"Try it, but I don't think you can…" Alibaba ran up to Zagan and cleaved off his head but it grew back with several other clones of Zagan.
After fighting I saw it was useless. Even with Robin out we can't seem to beat them…
"MOR! Let's retreat!" I yelled. Mor and I went to get Robin but we fell into a crevice.
Robin's POV
I woke up to find myself alone in a room full of Zagan clones. I jumped up and looked around.
"OI ZAGAN WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY FRIENDS!?" I yelled, gaining the attention of all of the clones. One smiled darkly at me.
"On their way to death my love~~!" I growled. There's no way…! I could hear the sound of chains coming closer and closer as then Mor, carrying everyone, rose from a hole in the ground.
"Mor! Everyone!" I ran to then and Mor jumped down the hole. I looked at Aladdin shocked.
"What's going on? How long have I…?"
"Zagan's real body is down there and Mor's going to defeat it." I looked down the hole and gulped. Mor… be careful. As soon as I thought that all the Zagan clones went up in flames and turned to ash. I nodded to myself and summoned Helios' wings.
"Come on lets go see Mor." I said offering to take everyone down. I wrapped an arm around Aladdin and Hakuryuu while Alibaba wrapped his arms around my neck. I jumped down the hole, and soon enough we landed onto the ground. A familiar and frightening scent hit my nose. I ran and found Mor on the floor, blood everywhere.
"MOR!" I said, running to her side.
"Hey, Morgiana! Open your eyes!"
"Mor-san!"
"Morgiana-dono!"
"WHAT HAPPENED!? MORGIANA!"
"Mor… It seems she doesn't have any magoi left." Alibaba and I looked at Aladdin shocked.
"If you lose a lot of magoi in a single instant… you can lose your life… She needs a doctor…" Alibaba paled while my eyes widened.
Mor began to move slowly.
"I….I….can…still….."
"Mor!" Aladdin and I exclaimed.
"Mor, you shouldn't move!" Alibaba exclaimed, worry painted across his face. Mor frowned in pain.
"To think…That I would finally… be of use to everyone…!" Tears filled mine and Alibaba's eyes.
"YOU DID ENOUGH! WE'LL GET OUT OF HERE IMMEDIATELY AND HEAL YOU!"
"But how… we killed the Djinn…" Hakuryuu muttered.
"No we didn't this is no Djinn!" Aladdin said.
"NO we didn't… Right little guy..?" I said turned around to where I could hear footsteps. From the burnt plant-like carcass emerged a small Zagan or imitation. Alibaba and Hakuryuu's eyes widened at the sight of the small Djinn-like creature.
"You are… Zagan?"
"You people!" Aladdin and I spotted the girl from the toran village.
"Are you okay?" I asked as the little girl ran over to us and she hugged Hakuryuu and nodded at me. I sighed in slight relief. Alibaba yelled at the dungeon creature after some time they stopped and began to explain how to get to the treasure room. I scanned the room and then spotted a single black ruhk. No…
Alibaba's POV
After the Zagan creature was ripped apart we caught sight of three black figures. Robin and Aladdin glared at them. The two looked at each other. Both looked serious.
"Aladdin!? Robin!?" what's gotten into them…?
"Everyone… Hurry up to the treasury. We can't let "them" get there before us!" Aladdin exclaimed while Robin glared darkly up at the figures. Running the way the creature told us, I carried Mor, while we ran. We all spotted the door.
"That's it!" I yelled.
"Good it's still closed!"
"Watch out!" Robin yelled stepping in front of us, swinging her katana at a rock dragon. Both her and Aladdin's borgs flew up as we were all pushed away from the door. Robin growled.
"Well… We meet again… Magi…Guardian." Astride the rock dragon was a masked magician, what looked like a black haired knight and a princess or queen carrying a black spear.
Robin stood firmly in front of us while Aladdin glared.
"You're…"
"Wait aren't they the merchants from toran!?" I yelled. They all smirked at my comment.
"This is the first time we've spoken directly… Aladdin and Robin. I know a lot about the two of you. Since your interference in Balbaad along with your chosen king… we've become interested in you!" No… Impossible… the knight began to lift his sword from its sheath, Robin growled at the movement and took a step forward. The blue haired woman laughed.
"Isaac, I didn't command you to do anything did I?" The knight grumbled over something and the blue hair woman laughed it off. The magician stated he wanted both Robin and Aladdin as well as my life. It must be them!
The rock dragon crashed into Robin and Aladdin's borgs and the two grunted.
"HAKURYUU! TAKE MOR AND THE GIRL TO A SAFE PLACE!" Aladdin yelled and he complied.
"Robin… Alibaba…"
"We know Aladdin." Robin said, not taking her eyes off the three before us.
"In order to save everyone…" I said
"We will defeat…" Robin continued.
"AL SARMEN!" The blue haired woman laughed and summoned three rock dragons. Robin smirked and we watched as the flames from her sword formed three flame dragons. The dragons clashed and smoke covered the field. The fog cleared and Robin and Aladdin seemed unharmed.
"Oh my… Well then in that case, we have to fight seriously as well!" the knight and Princess dropped from a dragon.
"It's nice to meet you, Magi, Guardian, and King Alibaba. I am Dunya Mustashim, Princess of the Mustashim Kingdom. This man here is my knight Isaac. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
"Princess… From Mustashim…" I said in shock.
"That can't be…" Robin said eyeing Dunya suspiciously.
"Oh my, do you two know of my country?" Dunya laughed. Robin sighed.
"Mustashim is no longer around, you of all people should know that." Robin said in a blunt, monotone voice.
"I heard Mustashim was destroyed ten years ago!" The two's faces grew dark.
"I have a favour to ask. Let us obtain Zagan… Or…I will kill all of you with this dark metal vessel!"
"YOU BASTARD!" I yelled
Robin's POV
We all watched as Dunya plunged her staff into herself and turned into a black Djinn. The Djinn flew up into the sky and raised its hands.
"It's manipulating the sand!" Alibaba said. I shook my head and swore under my breath.
"Magnetism! That's what it's using!" I said. The magician smiled.
"You are right Guardian. That is the power of Al Kaus!" The sand formed drill like claws Aladdin and I pushed Alibaba away.
"MOVE!" Aladdin yelled and was pushed into a wall.
"ALADDIN!" I growled at the Djinn. It uses magnetism… We all use heat in some form… I ran forward and intercepted the attack intended for Aladdin. It crushed my borg and slammed into my sword. Shoot… The magician praised the monster while Aladdin and I grunted. They're strong but… we aren't done yet. The Djinn smirked at Aladdin's magoi shots. Maybe…
Helios!
Yes child?
Can you manipulate electricity as well?

"ALADDIN!" He looked at me.
Distract it for me!

Aladdin continued to shoot magoi at her, making her smaller.
"Robin!"
"I got it!" I summoned electricity around my sword and forced it around in a circular motion. I'll make my own magnetic field! I swung my sword and the sand claws were pushed away, sand dropping to the floor due to repulsion. I smiled. Aladdin continued firing shots and yelled.
"Your magoi's running out so you cannot continue using high output attacks!"
"And magnetism easily has its weaknesses! Like repulsion from another magnetic field!" I said with a grin.
"Robin how do you..?" I smiled
"Secret!" Aladdin trapped the Djinn and I grinned.
"HALHARL INFIGAR!" then lightning intercepted our attacks.
The magician grinned and the Djinn ripped free from its bonds and formed Dunya but wearing what the magician called a dark Djinn equip. Dunya laughed.
"I showed you my ugly side, but this time I will be your opponent in this form!" she shot towards us and I grinned. Too predictable. I widened my field and her and my weapons clashed she grunted.
"Now, now did you not listen to what I said before?" I said in a mocking tone. She backed off slightly and formed another weapon. She then targeted Aladdin and soon he was wrapped in her chains. Alibaba cut the chains and I jumped behind her and slashed my sword across her back, denting the armour.
"Alibaba! Robin!"
"This is three versus one. Aladdin, Robin let's work together and fight!" Dunya said something to Isaac and he reformed. He shot towards Alibaba and I intercepted the attack, sand leaked from the arm closest to my sword.
"Even if you are fast, like I said using something like that will get you nowhere. Alibaba be careful…"
The knight and Dunya backed off only for the magician to give them more strength.
"Dammit!" We all cursed in sync.
"SIR ALIBABA! MASTER ALADDIN! MISS ROBIN!" We all turned to see Hakuryuu running towards us.
"Four versus three, huh…" Dunya smiled maliciously. She raised her spear. OH SHOOT!
"Extreme magic, Rea Baldo!" Damn, Leo-nii told me about stuff like this when we spoke about dungeons! Stupid, stupid!
"ALADDIN, ALIBABA, HAKURYUU! We need to stop her!" I yelled as the Djinn mark appeared in the air.
"Robin what…?" Alibaba and Hakuryuu looked confused.
"Since Leo-nii is a vessel user he told me about this before Balbaad…."
"Miss Yamu told me about it! The strongest form of Djinn Equip. Magic on an scale. I WON'T LET YOU DO IT!" Isaac destroyed all the fireball Aladdin sent at them stating he would stop us.
"I have a-"I cut Aladdin off.
"I'll do it."
"ROBIN!?" I smiled and lowered my stance.
I'll hold him off, he won't have time to stop you! I smiled and stepped forwards and pushed hard against the ground.
"WHAT SHE DISSAPPEARED!?" I quickly hacked at Isaac's arm, slicing it clean off. I appeared behind him and turned (A/N: this is kinda like how Kirito in SAO beats the salamanders when he first meets Leafa). Isaac glared at me as his arm reattached itself. I smirked at everyone's shocked faces. I stepped forwards slowly again and shot forwards again, though making more strikes. This continued for a couple of minutes until…
"ROBIN!" I nodded
"SHARRL RAAKI!" steam bathed Isaac and the surroundings. He's trying to boil him, that would work if he was human but he's sand for crying out loud! Was I the only one who had noticed that yet?
Robin! I'm gonna use something listen and trust me!

As she fires that move to where that fallen pillar is.

Once Dunya fired I ran out the way. I looked to see imitations of us looking in horror as swords plunged into them. I made eye contact with the real Alibaba who pointed to the magician and then himself. Hakuryuu and I ran towards Dunya. Alibaba cleaved off the Magician's head. Hakuryuu's attack was blocked by Isaac. I grinned.
"IDIOT!" I said before stabbing his head and cutting off one of his arms, revealing to the others that he was just a doll.
"Never take your eye off your opponent, sand man!" I laughed while Dunya was talking.
"EH?!" I sighed at the boy's reactions. Isaac then turned to sand. Dunya then broke down in front of us.
*mini time skip*
"She fell…" I whispered as I looked at Dunya's memories.
"Falling into depravity. When someone curses their own fate, their own ruhk turns black. But there is a possibility of turning it back!" We all watched as Aladdin used Solomon's wisdom to summon Isaac's ruhk. Soon enough her ruhk turned white and she fainted.
"She's alright!"
"Nice one Aladdin!" All of a sudden a hissing noise reached my ears, I ignored it and picked up Dunya.
"Let's go to the treasury!" After running there, I left Dunya in a safe place, and we found Zagan's vessel. Once he appeared we all looked up at his huge form. Zagan then bowed and looked sad.
"Magi…Guardian… I will immediately reverse the magic cast on the villagers which the creatures performed. Since I could not leave the treasury, I could not stop them. Please forgive me…" Zagan then healed Mor. I smiled. Then Zagan chose Hakuryuu to be his king and explained why. I smiled all's well ends well.
*Time skip*
I sighed on the way back. I'm alone.
Thank you Helios, I couldn't have done it without you.
Eventually I appeared in a hole next to Alibaba. I looked at him and I could hear screaming. We looked at each other and climbed out to see people, including Aladdin and the others, injured. We both ran to Aladdin.
"Al Sarmen… ambushed us…" I growled, Black Djinn users and three of them.
"Helios!" I then heard one of them announcing an attack. Shoot!
Child get out of there!
Helios!?
Somehow, Helios dragged me out of there before the spell hit. I watched as the three went to kill Aladdin and Alibaba but Mor stood in there way but they hurt her. I felt my blood boil, the damn bastards!
"Robin-san!" I turned to see three familiar faces who looked very angry. I smiled and watched happily as Yam-san, Masrur and Sharrkan took out the users. I called off Helios and ran to the others and hugged them.
"Oi Robin that hurt! Unlike you, we all feel pain!" Alibaba yelled. I laughed and apologized. I caught Aladdin staring into space.
"Aladdin?"
"What's wrong Aladdin?"
"I felt something just now…?"

Me: I'm gonna take off to where Aladdin and the others return to Sindria after this!
