Magi: the Journey of a Guardian
Chapter 14: The Leviathan Household and The Arrival of The Unexpected
Hi guys! Here's another chapter! Thanks to xxNeverEndingTwilightxx for the reviews! I don't own Magi or its characters. I only own my OCs!
Last Time….
Aladdin's POV
"Be careful! Remember Neathia and Magnostadt are allies so I won't be too far away if something happens! BYE ALADDIN!" With that Robin flew off on the dragon. I blinked a couple of times then pressed a hand to my cheek. I felt my face get warm… R-Robin j-just…. I led down on my turban. I smiled and remembered mine and Alibaba's conversation from on the way back to the inn last night.
Flash back
A slightly grumpy Alibaba walked along side me and I sighed. All of a sudden Alibaba's face came really close.
"What's up Aladdin, missing a certain someone?" Alibaba said in a drunken voice. My eyes widened and I began to panic.
"N-N-N-No! O-of course not!" I stuttered. Alibaba smiled and wiped the drunken look of his face. Hi hands went to the back of his head.
"You're thinking of Robin, right?" I looked at him slightly shocked.
"W-what!? What made you think that Alibaba!?" Alibaba chuckled.
"Hehe… A lot of things have got me thinking… the lot of us separating… I found myself drifting back to the first time I saw you two. You were stuck to each other like glue. I was wondering what would happen between you two as you're really close… hehe…You're really lucky Aladdin. She seems to care about you a lot… I hope I can find someone like that."
End
You were right Alibaba… I am lucky to have someone like her….
Current events…..
Robin's POV
I groaned and rested my head on the neck of the dragon.
"Why did I allow Nii-san to send a dragon and force me to ride it for three days straight…?" I groaned. The dragon seemed to huff in response. I sighed.
"Sorry Dragon-san! I didn't mean to offend you!" I exclaimed waving my hands around in panic. The Dragon made a huffing sound like it was laughing. I laughed along with the dragon. All of a sudden the sun burst from behind the clouds, drenching the land below in sunlight. I smiled.
"WOW…!" ROAR! I jumped at the sound and turned around in my seat to see another dragon bearing the Neathia crest. Astride the Dragon was a boy my age with deep blue hair and onyx eyes, he wore a simple white shirt, blue shorts and black shoes.
"Hime! Wait!" The boy yelled. I sighed and whispered to my dragon to slow down. Eventually the boy caught up.
"HI!" I said with a cheery grin, causing the boy to look a little shocked.
"Uhhh…" I smiled at the boy.
"What's your name? I'm Robin!"
"Darius, Darius Dragnoir Robin-hime"
"Just call me Robin! Ne Darius-kun did you come to guide me to Neathia?" The boy nodded his head. I smiled.
"Show me the way then!"
"H-H-Hai Robin-san…" I pouted. I guess sometimes you really can't change a person's mind-set.
Eventually after some time Neathia came into view.
"WOW!" Below us was the main city called Balith. The sun bleached the roofs of what seemed like Greek styled houses gold. The streets writhed with life and people. From in the sky you could see markets which were bursting with colour, the soldier's quarters where war cries could be heard, numerous houses of different designs and what seemed to be a magician's centre as you could see various men and women flying about.
"Robin-san follow me!" Darius yelled, getting further and further away.
"H-Hai!" I stuttered, realising my dragon had stopped. I quickly tapped her neck, urging her forwards. Further ahead was a building that looked extremely like a cross between the Tahj Mahal and the coliseum of Rome.
"NE, Darius what's that?" I yelled pointing at the building. He turned and looked lightly shocked.
"That's the palace…" I laughed nervously at what he said. LEO-NII I SWEAR I WILL GET YOU BACK FOR THIS! Soon enough we landed in the courtyard on the palace. I grabbed my bag and jumped down from the dragon.
"Thank you Dragon-san!" The dragon huffed in response and I laughed.
"ROBIN!" I was tackled by my brother, I sighed and groaned.
"Leo-nii act your age! Let go!" I yelled trying to push my brother off me.
"Oi, Oi Leo is this our princess?" One voice from behind us said. I kicked Leo and turned. I smiled at two familiar faces.
"Ramesses! Ramessu! Long time, no see!" I said with a smile. With them were a few figures I didn't recognise. To Ramessu's right was a girl who looked 17 who wore a short kimono, which was blue, though her arms and legs were covered in blue scales and some appeared around her gold eyes, her long blue hair was pulled into a ponytail and it reached her waist. Next to her was a burly, tall man with curly black shoulder length hair and onyx eyes. We wore a chainmail armour with the Neathian crest on, the word paladin fit his looks. Next to him was another man, smaller than Ramesses, Ramessu and the black haired paladin. He had green choppy hair and a red bandanna tied around his head. He wore a gold vest, exposing his muscular chest and bagging white trousers and green flats and a knife attached to his belt.
I poked Leo.
"Am I to assume this is your household?" I asked looking at him.
"Yup! These are my household and generals to the legions of Neathia! Everyone apart from the twins if you'd like to introduce yourself." Leo said with a grin.
"Hi! I'm Acantha! I'm in charge of King Leo's Legion of Forwards. We are the first ones to show up in a battle, and are compared to the fanalis corps in Ream a lot! By the way these scales are here due to the fact I assimilated with the household vessel unlike these cowards." The blue haired girl said with a grin. I smiled back at her.
"Yo! I'm Dilshad! I'm in charge of the navy! If ya need to get somewhere or there's trouble in our sea's come ta me!" The green haired boy said with a laugh.
"I'm Godwin. Leader of the Dragon Riders. The boy who brought you here was one of our finest lads in training. I hope we can talk some more in the future." The paladin said.
"Ramessu and I are in charge of the main soldiers. Leo where is Lisanna? Surely our mage general should be here?" Ramesses asked.
"Busy researching the ruins. Anyway! That's my household! Say Sister, how about a duel for old times' sake?" Leo asked with a cocky grin. I smirked.
"I see…. After all this time are you finally gonna prove who's the best?" I countered with a grin.
"Who cares if you had several more kills than I did when we were younger? What if I just want to test myself?" I smiled and drew my knife.
"Weapon or none?"
"Weapon. I won't use my Djinn."
"Then I won't use Helios. Just techniques only." Leo drew a long sword. We both grinned.
"Oi King! Our student is good so don't lose!" I heard Ramesses yell and I charged and parried my brother's sword. I quickly pushed against his words, pushing him back a couple of steps, I performed a few backflips to gain a bit of distance between us.
"Running sister?" Leo yelled. I grinned. I noticed a column leading to the roof, perfect. Maybe the times I sneaked onto the roof of Sindria's palace may come in helpful. I nimbly ran up the column, jumping onto the roof. I smiled at the confusion on Leo's face. After running around the circular roof opening he realized along with his household.
"O-Oi! Leo is that an after image. Coz it looks like we now have several princesses."
"Echo Image, huh? Still haven't lost your touch. COME AT ME THEN SISTER!" Leo yelled. I chuckled. I leapt from the roof and darted forwards. Our weapons clashed and we grinned at each other.
"Leo-nii this is getting awfully boring…" I said with a yawn. An anger vein popped in the back of his head and I felt him exert his full strength, pushing me back a little.
"Is that all you got? Nii are you useless without your Djinn?" I asked. I quickly changed the way I held my knife, allowing me to push Leo back and disarm him. He gave me an annoyed look. I watched as his hands became claws. So he's using the family ability. I aimed my knife carefully and threw it at him, the knife buried itself into his skin near his shoulder. He winced and looked at the knife. I quickly moved to behind him and placed my now sharp fingers against his throat.
"Rule number one: never take your eyes off your opponent, even when you are injured. You lose Leo-nii." I muttered. I watched his body tense then relax.
"Haha You got me! Robin… Was it necessary to throw your knife into my shoulder though?" Leo-nii asked turning around, pointing to the offending item. I sighed and pulled it out.
"It was the best thing I could think of! Anyway the wounds deep, clean it and bandage it tightly." I said with a grin. Leo-nii then frowned at me.
"Robin I got word from Akita about what you lot did… Good job! But you will have to restrain yourself in future." Leo-nii said, ruffling my hair. I sighed.
"Sorry…." I muttered, rubbing the back of my neck.
"Leo! WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!?" A feminine voice yelled. Leo-nii paled, tensed and slowly turned around. I peered around him to see a woman the same age as him. She had long purple hair, blue eyes, a dove earing in her left ear and a gold stud in her right. She wore a gold belly top with silver shoulder guards, silver arm guards, baggy gold trousers and white flats. She looked rather annoyed and Leo and her gaze softened slightly when she saw me.
"Ahhhhhh….Um….Well…. I had a duel with my little sister…." My eyes widened, the appearance of this woman had turned my brother into a bumbling mess! Woooow…. I walked up to the woman and stuck my hand towards her.
"Hi! I'm Robin, Leo's little sister. Nice to meet you." I said with a grin. The woman smiled.
"Hello Robin I'm your sister in law, Sana Nejem!" I blinked a couple of times and slowly felt my jaw drop. I slowly turned to Leo-nii.
"Nii-san? Married? Wife?" For once I could not process anything… Also Nejem? Was that our surname in this world…?
*mini time skip*
I sat on a chair in my brother's meeting room trying to process everything. Leo Sighed.
"I know it's a shock. Also do you like the surname?" I nodded slowly.
"Nii… I have one question…" I murmured.
"What?"
"WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON!?" I yelled, this is too confusing… let me go back to being with Aladdin, Alibaba and Mor. Leo-nii sighed and Sana-san patted my back.
"Don't worry Robin, you'll get used to everything." Sana said cheerfully. I groaned.
"Right then! LET'S PARTY FOR OUR PRINCESS'S RETURN!" Leo yelled. I groaned again, why me?
"As long as I'm not put in a toga or a dancer's outfit then I'll be fine." I mumbled. Leo grinned.
"Sana-chi I'll let you show Robin around. I have a party to organise~~~!" Leo sand, skipping off like a child.
"How do you cope?" I asked and Sana smiled.
"S-E-C-R-E-T ~~!" I felt my face fall into my hands. I'm doomed.
Sana grabbed my hand dragging me through the palace until we stopped outside out a room and Sana pushed me in first. Instantly I thought I was back in our room in the Sindria. Spectacularly it looked like a replica. Ornate flooring, decorations a four poster bed enough to fit Alibaba, Aladdin, Mor and myself on… I smiled.
"My room?" Sana smiled and nodded and left, leaving me alone. I quickly led on the bed, pulling my hair out of its usual braided ponytail, my hair then spread out on the covers beneath me. A few ruhk fluttered around the room and one landed on my nose. I laughed. My thought were dragged to my magi and I felt my cheeks blaze, remembering that I kissed him. I buried my face in a pillow. BAKA! Why did I have to remember that! I sighed as the ruhk around me turned pink and I groaned.
"I'm not in love with him…" I murmured to the ruhk around me but they seemed to be acting more erratic and became a deeper pink. I jumped up from my new bed, throwing the pillow onto it and I held my hand out to the ruhk. One landed onto it and changed back to white.
"Ne, Tell Aladdin something for me. Tell him have fun and that I've already got lots to tell him!" I said with a grin. The ruhk fluttered off. Due to Yam's magic tool, I couldn't communicate with Aladdin mentally… I sighed shaking off all thoughts like that. I slapped my cheeks.
"Get a grip Robin! I'm an ex-assassin and Guardian not some love struck little girl!" I said confidently to myself. I smiled.
"Hmmm I wonder what clothes Leo-nii got for me…" I mumbled walking to the wardrobe in the far right of my new room. I opened it and my jaw dropped. Dresses… and lots of them…
"He is so dead…" I muttered, sifting through the numerous dresses to find something I deemed acceptable. Eventually I came to a halt. A pale blue short sleeved blouse, a dark blue short skirt and some knee length legging. I nodded to myself, perfect. I quickly changed and looked myself over in a large mirror. Perfect! I strapped my knife to my side. I pulled on some paladin styled, ankle boots and grinned. This is defiantly me. I tied my hair up into its braided ponytail and walked out the room to see a frowning Leo and Sana.
"What?" I asked raising my hands as if to claim I'm innocent.
"All of those dresses and you chose a blouse, skirt and boots!?" Leo Asked. I pouted.
"Dresses aren't me." I muttered, crossing my arms. Leo sighed.
"Ah well… Let's see what happens eh?"
"Nii that makes no sense what so ever….."
"Haha I know!" I groaned, seriously what have I gotten myself into….
6 months later…..
Morgiana's POV (mwhaha guess what happening!?)
Yunan smiled at me and pointed to the city before us.
"Here we are, Neathia! Let's go talk to their king in order to warn them!" Yunan sang.
"Yunan, you think Leo would interfere with our plan?" I asked. Yunan shook his head, his hat falling off slightly.
"Hmmm I wonder…" I sighed at his mysterious, vague answer. I looked at the exotic city, Balith. I wonder if Robin is here… Yunan and I walked through the crowded streets of smiling faces. Eventually we stopped outside a huge palace. Yunan waved to a guard.
"Excuse me, we'd like an audience with King Leo!" He yelled. The guard nodded and walked off, and soon enough reappeared with what looked like a green haired bandit.
"I'm Dilshad, this way, wandering magi…" The boy motioned for us to follow him.
"Robin focus or you will fall!"
"Sorry! I had a vision, hehe…" I turned to the familiar voice to see two dragons in a courtyard, a young man with blue hair wearing shorts and a shirt, standing on a dragon while it was in mid-air. I had seen the dragon Robin's teachers arrived on from afar but I had never saw any this close.
On a gold dragon stood a young girl wearing a blouse and blue skirt wobbling and attempting to stand up on the dragon.
"Ah that's the princess and her personal advisor and knight. Looks good, right? Over here!" the boy said with a grin. We walked into a large throne room and on one of the two thrones sat Leo who waved at us.
"Yo, long time no see Yunan and Morgiana. I'm sure Robin will be happy to see you here. Now, what can I do for you?"
"I'd like to see the Guardian as well, I need to talk to both of you." I watched as Leo nodded to Dilshad and he ran off. A few minutes later… BANG!
"Leo! I hope this is important as I was training!" Robin's voice rang clear as I could hear purposeful footsteps draw forward. Leo smiled as his sister stood before him, hands on her hips.
"Your reason for being summoned is behind you." He said with a smirk. Robin wheeled around and her eyes widened.
"Mor? Is that you!?" I smiled at her.
"It has been some time… Hello Robin" I said, smiling.
Robin quickly grabbed my hands, eyes shining.
"It's been so long! I like that you've grown your hair also haven't you got taller? There so much I want to talk to you about but… Since you're with Yunan I assume you're here to talk to me about that."
Yunan clapped his hands together.
"Correct, you catch on fast!" He said in a sing song voice. Robin sighed.
"Just because Ugo told me you're alright doesn't necessarily mean I will trust you completely. There are many sides to you wandering magi…" Robin said, her left fist clenched and unclenched. Yunan's eyes narrowed at her hand and his head tilted in confusion.
"Is that…?" Robin crossed her arms and looked at him
"Maybe… Anyway, I've informed Leo to stay away from the conflict unless I contact him. I have a meeting with Mogamett before the events. I'll only interfere if Aladdin's in danger, you have my word." Yunan sighed at Robin.
"Maybe we weren't needed here then…" Yunan sighed. Robin smiled.
"Feel free to stay as long as you like. Yunan I'm sure you'd enjoy some places here." Robin said with a smile
"Ahhh… Maybe for two days. I'm sure there's things Morgiana can learn here from you…Ah as long as there's somewhere dark for me to stay." I looked towards Robin who looked deep in thought.
"Ah how about the cabin by the ruins!?" Robin turned to Leo who smiled and nodded.
BANG! We all turned around to see the source of the noise.
"Your Majesty! Due to you being unable to inform me of this, I have not be able to re arrange Robin's appointments! Now If you excuse me I must take our princess now as she was supposed to meet the dragon village's elder twenty minutes ago!" the blue haired boy from earlier, now dressed in a shirt, some tight fitting black trousers , boots made of metal, a metal chest plate and white gloves. In his hands were various pieces of armour. A headpiece and a cape. Robin sighed.
"Darius! Did you manage to contact the elder to tell him we would be late?" Robin asked and the boy, Darius, nodded which caused Robin to sigh in relief. She quickly accepted the items off the boy and placed them on. A chest plate, wrist guards, and armour for her skirt. She quickly turned to me.
"Mor, would you like to accompany me?" She quickly asked, eyes gleaming. I smiled.
"Of course!"
"Darius! Let's go. Leo I will leave Yunan in your capable hands." With that Robin grabbed my hand and led me out of the throne room to the courtyard where the two dragons from earlier waited. Robin hoisted herself onto the dragon and held out her to me.
"Mor, let's go!" I smiled and grabbed her hand and sat behind her.
"Hold on tight, a dragon is a lot different to a flying turban. Sephirot!" With that the dragon roared and took off.
I quickly grabbed Robin and she chuckled.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine. OI DARIUS STOP SHOWING OFF!" Robin yelled. I turned to see Darius smiling, standing on his dragon, not holding the reins.
"Wow…" I muttered.
"Don't mind Darius, he likes showing off."
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Over there, see hat odd looking mountain. It's called dragon's peak and is where most dragon riders are trained, I'm going to speak to the elder of the village… It seems due to something happening on Ream's side of the mountain has caused an upset in the village." Robin said pointing a tall mountain, next to it was a mountain on fire.
"That's a volcano. You can find the dragons there. Sephirot let's try and go faster than Darius and Gartos!" Robin yelled. With that the dragon sped up. Soon a village came into view, open houses that looked similar to the houses of Balith. In the centre of the village was a huge clearing and waiting there were two men. Robin raised her hand.
"I, Robin Nejem first princess of Neathia, have arrived!" I saw the symbol of the Neathia crest shine and the two men bowed.
"Right, let's get this started!" Robin said to herself.
