Amelia woke with a start as the train began to grind to a halt, "What's going on?" Jenny started awake also while the blond peered out the window. A horrible sinking feeling hollowed out her stomach as she caught sight of a large figure boarding the train. His stern features easily intimidated the ticketer while he demanded access to the train. Only a few strands of his perfectly slicked back bond hair tossed about in the wind while his blue eyes examined every inch of the train. His gaze traveled down the sleek body until his piercing orbs landed squarely on her face. Germany had caught sight of her.

"SHIT!" He shoved his way past the porter and onto the train, heading straight for her compartment, "Jenny, we need to get off of this train immediately!"

"Why?" A bleary Jenny groaned as Amelia began fiddling with the locks on the window.

"We've been caught!" Jenny was on her feet in an instant, grabbing their packs while Amelia finally pushed the window open.

"By whom?" Jenny pushed her head out the window and into the freezing rain, "and do we really have to leave the train?"

"By Germany!" Heavy footsteps sounded outside the compartment.

"Germany?" Jenny scream was bitten off as she was shoved out the tiny window by her friend. As the door slid open to reveal the terrifying figure of the German nation Amelia followed close behind.

"NIEN!" He lunged across the compartment for her jacket's back but the American was already gone. Swearing profusely Germany pulled out his cell phone as he pushed past the security guards, "Gilbert, the girls have escaped the train! Prepare to cordon off the area with dogs. Get Russia on the phone and tell him we've cornered the American!"

"I don't suppose finding this papa guy could be made any easier?" Jenny panted as the sprinted across the wide expanse of an empty field. Amelia didn't waste time with words as she continued to run, she just shook her head. Their foot steps were marred by the sloshing mud of the field, rain pelted down with greater ferocity. There was a faint barking that first alerted Amelia that something was up; a quick glance behind them confirmed her worst fears. Pounding after them were three German Shepherds hot on their scent with a maliciously grinning Prussia only a few steps behind them.

"Make it to the tree line!" yelped Amelia, putting on all the speed she could spare. Her body was quickly lagging behind her brain but she continued to slam her booted feet in the marshy land to move forward. The barking was so loud Amelia was sure those vicious looking dogs were right at her heels but as she and Jenny made it into the trees all hope drained away.

"What now?" Jenny's face was pinched with fear but under control as they continued to dodge the trees.

"I have no idea but we need something to throw off the dogs tracks," Amelia did mental checklist of everything in her pack, "Do we have any peppers?"

"No!" Jenny ducked under a large branch, gasping for breath, "But I have an idea, give me your jacket!"

"Why?" Amelia stopped dead with a glare at her best friend.

"Because they haven't seen our faces, just what we're wearing, I'll be able to fool the guys into thinking I'm you. If we split up we'll be harder to catch. And I have a secret weapon," Jenny pulled out several vials and bottles, "The Spice cabinet starter kit Antonio gave me."

"Do you realize?"

"Of course," the rain got heavier, "Now switch jackets with me before I punch you."

Prussia hadn't enjoyed the thrill of a such a chase since WW 2 when he would chase down downed Allied pilots. Blackie, Astor and Berlitz were loving the chase, with all of the careful training they were going at this like pros. The nation gave a cackle as the girls split off after a short pow wow behind a tree. This trick wasn't going to work, he knew Amelia had been wearing the thick coat Alistair had given her. It was painfully obvious that they had switched coats. Prussia gathered up the wind to shout an order to the dogs but they ground to a halt, howling painfully and pawing at their noses.

"What the fu # #?" Prussia glared at the surrounding trees which had swallowed the two girls. Turning his gaze to the ground he snarled with fury, bright red spices were scattered about, effectively ruining the dogs noses for the time being. Rolling his shoulders back he began to examine his surroundings for tracks which the girls left behind. With an evil snarl on his lips Prussia began to follow in hot pursuit of the girl with the light coat.

Amelia had heard nothing behind her for a while so she began to slow down, after a moment she stopped. The rain had eased up to a slight drizzle so she pulled off the heavy coat Scotland had given her.

"I hope you're okay Jenny," she groaned while pulling out her map and compass, "I really hope Prussia doesn't do anything stupid."

Jenny had finally stopped after twenty minutes of running, her breath came in ragged gasps and her legs felt watery and leaden.

"You're not very good at this," heavily accented German from her right sent Jenny collapsing to the ground in shock. A tallish man with silver hair and bright red eyes glinting with malice stepped out from behind a tree, "even an amateur could have caught you." A surge of fear sent Jenny rushing to her feet, his voice was edged with cruelty and slight insanity, "I caught you because of my pure awesomeness." Jenny pulled the hoodie down over her face while edging away from the arrogant man in front of her. "And because you left a trail a mile wide." With a reckless lunge Jenny was gone, sprinting down through the Black Forrest of Germany with Prussia hot on her heels.

She didn't make it more than twenty feet before the red eyed man tackled her forcibly to the ground, "I don't think so." Jenny went limp as she was hauled to her feet and the hood forced down.

Two minutes later the man was turning the sky blue with swear words as he discovered Jenny was definitely not Amelia.

Romania was hiding out in his potion chamber with as many wards and protective spells as he could manage with Bulgaria pacing outside the door.

"Look Norway, all I know is from the conversation between Germany and Russia. They've got her cornered in the Black Forrest and Prussia's captured one of the girls. I don't know which," the vampiric nations went white as the door was blasted open to reveal Bulgaria looking insanely pleased. "Can't we have a break!?" Romania screeched while the communication with Norway dissolved when Bulgaria tackled him to the floor.
