Willow and Alfie sat on the sofa in the common room, blasting aliens quickly. Willow shrieked when an alien spawned right in front of her on the screen and she shot it quickly, using most of her ammo. She quickly retreated to the roof of their base where no aliens could go and chose to play it safe, sniping what she could see. Alfie on the other hand cried 'YOLO!' and ran across the snow, shooting everything in sight and dying in the process. He groaned, waiting for his player to heal.

"Hey, boo, I'm back!"

Alfie's head snapped around, forgetting the game, and he stared at the blonde in the doorway.

"Amber," he whispered in shock.

"I know it's a shock, but I'm here to visit. I missed you!" she cooed, holding her arms out for a hug.

"Amber!" Willow squealed, running into her outstretched arms, to which Amber made a face and stood their awkwardly before pushing her away.

Alfie swallowed, his brown eyes flitting between the two girls before he screamed, jumping over the couch and running to his room. He ran in, still screaming and locked the door behind him, scaring Mara and Jerome half to death with his screech. He fell to the floor and crawled under his bed in an attempt to hide.

"Alfie, what's wrong?" Jerome chuckled, peering under the bed at his best friend.

"Amber's back," he hissed.

"Amber's back?" Mara grinned, getting off the bed.

"No, wait, Mara; you can't let her know that I'm here!" he cried before he covered his mouth, scooting farther under the bed.

"Why not," she wondered cautiously, kneeling next to Jerome so she could see him as well.

"Because I'm dating Willow!" he said as if it was obvious.

"So," Jerome shrugged. "Amber left; you two broke up. It couldn't have been helped. Without Amber here, you noticed someone else and you're happy."

"But I was happy with Amber too! And besides, it killed me when she had to leave. I can't be around her again and not feel hurt again when she goes back to school; she's only visiting."

"Mate, you can't hide from her." Jerome sighed.

"Alfie, does she know about you and Willow?" Mara asked quietly.

Alfie shook his head quickly.

"Alf, you need to tell her so she doesn't get the wrong idea." Jerome warned.

"But I can't! Willow is Amber's biggest fan! She strives to be like Amber—"

"And when Amber finds out you two are dating, she'll suspect you're trying to replace her…" Mara continued thoughtfully.

"Which will cause Willow to turn on you as well," Jerome hung his head, rubbing the back of his neck. "Okay, dude, tell Amber."

"Why?" he screeched, and then covered his mouth again.

"So that you can work all this out," Mara explained, understand where Jerome was going with this. "But you also need to be sure that you want Willow."

"I-I do." He replied quickly, but after a second thought, "I mean, I think I do…"

"Okay, get out of there." Jerome ordered, while standing and helping Mara up.

Alfie slowly got out from under his bed and brushed his green polo off. He sat on his bed and covered his face with his hands.

"Alfie, you need to make a decision between the two of them." Mara said softly, laying a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"I…" he groaned, running a hand over his head. "I love Amber, but I also love Willow."

Jerome raised his eyebrows. "Which one do you think it'll work out with?"

"I don't think it'll work with Amber since she lives so far away." He muttered. "But sometimes, I wonder if it'll work with Willow, because sometimes, it just feels like it's the same thing over and over again."

"Nothing changes," Jerome nodded in understanding.

"You don't want someone that's exactly like you because there's never anything different…" Mara drifted off, letting Alfie finish with his thoughts.

"But sometimes…" he murmured with a thoughtful expression on his dark face. He hopped off the bed and grabbed the door handle, running into the door. "Ow!" he grunted, rubbing his nose.

"You gotta pull, mate." Jerome reminded him.

"Right," Alfie nodded in determination, pulling on the knob.

"Unlock it first, bro." Jerome sighed, running a hand over his face.

"Oh right," he said sheepishly and unlocked the door, swinging it open and leaving the room.

Mara and Jerome looked at each other and shrugged, turning back to their homework.

"Amber, Willow," Alfie addressed, marching into the common room. He held up a finger, ready to begin talking but then he looked away as the girls looked at him expectantly. "Hold on, I had a problem with the door; I lost my train of thought."

"You're dating Willow." Amber stated. She didn't look angry and she didn't look hurt, but she did look slightly upset.

"Yeah," he mumbled, shifting on his feet awkwardly.

"You could have just told me, Alfie." She whispered, standing and running a hand through her blonde hair. It was hanging down in ringlets like she used to wear it and she looked just as beautiful as always, maybe even a little bit more since Alfie's memory had done her no justice at all.

"I know, I guess I just didn't know how…"

"You love me, right?" she asked with a slight smile.

"Well, I…" his eyes flitted to Willow and she looked at her lap, before he sighed, "yeah."

"And when I left, it was hard for you?"

"Yes," he nodded instantly.

"But you let me go anyway." She remembered, taking a step closer to him.

"Of course," he shrugged, his voice cracking faintly.

"Well, I love you too, and I'm going to let you go just like you did for me." she said after a moment of silence, and a tear slipped down her pale cheek. This was one of the rare moments Amber Millington was being serious, trying to do the right thing and thinking of others before herself. This was a side of Amber that Alfie didn't see often, but he was glad that he could; he loved this side of her.

"Thanks, Ambs," he smiled, holding his arms out for the hug she had offered earlier.

She stepped into his arms and resting her head on his shoulder, savoring the brief moment she had in his arms. She pulled away and let out a short laugh, feeling slightly awkward from the tears that gathered in her eyes. "Where's Mara?"

"In my room with Jerome," he answered.

She nodded, leaving the room. Alfie turned to Willow as she threw herself into his arms. He wrapped his arms around her waist easily and kissed her hair.

I guess, everyone thinks that if the ex-girlfriends (i.e. Nina and Amber) come back that everything will go haywire and they'll explode from their jealousy and there'd be a cat fight. But I think that Nina would be hurt, and Amber would be mature about it, which sometimes we don't see the mature side of Amber and Alfie and Willow, even though it's there. :)

I'm sorry if you didn't like it. :/
