So this was prompted by HeroineRiejj. Sorry it took so long. And sorry, this sucks.
Um, I'm sorry to disappoint anyone and everyone that I'm not going to be writing drabbles for, but I'm done with this thing. I just can't bring myself to write it. I don't want to write these anymore, so the series is officially over.
If you want to read random drabbles and oneshots for the couples I write for, I'll be bringing those back. They'll just randomly show up when I write one.
But you can read any of my other stories if you want! :) I've got a new sample up on Into the Future.
And Bad Boy Babysitter is officially completed as well. Sorry. :/
"Poopy, I can't believe you invited Mara." Jerome hissed.
"She's my friend, Gerbil. Just because you ruined everything, and your relationship ended on horrible terms, and you'll probably never be able to fix it, doesn't mean I can't invite her to my birthday party." His little sister retorted calmly.
Jerome narrowed his pale blue eyes suspiciously. "There's an ulterior motive. You invited her for another reason."
Poppy rolled her eyes. "Don't be so paranoid. Why would I interfere with your love life?"
"Because you're just like mum." He responded, dragging his fingers through his hair as she was whisked away by her friends.
He sat down on the sofa and let out a slow sigh. When the couch dipped a little as another person sat down, he turned and gave Mara a tight smile. "We're both a little old to be hanging out with a bunch of seventeen year olds."
"And to think we were seventeen only four years ago." She laughed softly.
"So how have you been?" he asked after a moment of silence between them, his eyes flitting over her face.
She pushed a lock of her dark brown hair behind her ear and smiled a little. "I've been good. I'm starting school next month."
"Let me guess…doctor." He smirked.
Her cheeks reddened a little. "How did you know?"
"You've had a lot of hobbies, Jaffray, but you were always going to be a doctor."
Mara smiled. "What about you?"
He shrugged. "I don't know."
Mara awaited an explanation with a soft expression, her hands clasped in her lap to prevent them from giving away her nervousness.
"Nothing's working out for me. I guess I'm…I'm lost. Haven't found my way yet."
"How's Joy?"
Jerome arched an eyebrow. "Haven't talked to her lately, huh? She lives in my flat building. She's dating some guy. I think his name is Nick."
Mara's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
Jerome grinned lopsidedly. "We broke up two years ago. We're not friends, but you know me, I love to pry."
She shook her head with a laugh. "Haven't changed, have you?"
"No, I've changed a lot." He corrected sincerely.
Mara studied him for a second. "Can you prove that?"
"Is that a challenge?"
Mara shrugged a shoulder, standing up. "It can be whatever you want it to be."
Jerome shot up and grabbed her arm before she could walk away from him. He pulled her back to face him and leaned down to press his lips to hers.
When he broke the kiss, he noticed Poppy over Mara's shoulder, looking as smug as a Clarke should. "This is Poppy's fault." He mumbled.
"We'll thank her later." Mara murmured, wrapping her arms around his neck and guiding his head back down to hers.
Don't review. This is horrible. I'm ashamed.
