I woke up at 10:30 am, and noticed that no one was awake yet. I took a shower and changed into *polyvore . com * /cgi/set?id=110751506 . After drying my hair and braiding it into a fishtail braid, I walked downstairs and took out my long board. I left a sticky note saying:

Left to longboard. You guys make your own breakfast! Laziiies

And then locked the door behind me. I got on my board and let my weight guide the board to turn swiftly.

After an hour of just touring around the streets, I stopped to enter the beach gates.

I walked over to the waves and sat down, letting the water wet my feet.

"I thought you were asleep." I heard a voice behind me. My body tensed up, I knew that voice.

"Hi." I mumbled.

"Clary, you ran off yesterday." Said Jace.

"No I didn't." I said.

"Yes. You did. We kissed and then you just ran away." Said Jace.

"Look, we shouldn't have kissed either way. You're just going to hurt me." I said and he sighed

"Really? Because right now you're the one hurting me." He said and I looked at him. He looked hurt, his eyes were sad and the spark in them had disappeared.

"Look Clary, I really like you." Said Jace.

"I really like you too." I whispered.

"Then why can't we be together?" He asked.

"Because, we will end up fighting." I said.

"So?" He said, sitting down next to me and resting his chin on my shoulder, kissing it.

"I don't know Jace..." I said and he kept kissing my shoulder.

"We should try." He said.

"I can work with that." I said and he smiled.

"Come here." He said and I leaned in to capture his soft lips.

One of his hand was resting around my waist while the other was on the back of my neck. His lips were moving in sync with mine and his tongue was teasing mine. We both pulled away breathless and smiling.

"I like you, Clary Fray." He whispered on my lips.

"I like you too, Jace Wayland." I said and pecked him.

"Let's go back. Magnus was freaking out when I left the house, he thinks you got run over." Said Jace and I laughed as we both stood up and walked hand in hand.

"We are home!" Exclaimed Jace when we walked in.

"Clary!" Called Magnus and ran to give me a hug.

"It's okay mommy, I'm fine." I teased and he sighed in relief and sat on the couch.

"Hey!" Said Izzy as she walked over to me.

"Hello." I said coldly.

"What's up? Where were you?" She asked.

"Nothing. At the beach." I said and walked away.

"Look, I heard what happened from Jace. I'm sorry! I was drunk! I didn't mean to, I was just kinda sad when I found out Alec was gay." Said Izzy and I sighed.

"It's fine. Just... Don't do it again okay?" I said.

"Of course not! I wouldn't even dare!" She said and we both hugged.

"Guys! There's a party tonight!" Said Quinn happily and we smiled.

"We're definitely going!" I said.

"And guess who's going to the party..." She added.

"Who?" I asked curiously.

"Um... Jace's ex." She mumbled.

"Aline?!" I exclaimed and she nodded.

I knew who she was. When I was about 14, Jace started dating Aline. She was so pretty, wait no, she was gorgeous and she knew it. Her curly black hair would cascade down to her waist, her brown eyes would have little sparks of golden and her tiny frame made her look cute. And what really surprised me was that even though she was tiny, she had double d's and a bubble butt. And that was when she was a freaking 15 year old!

Anyhow, Jace and Aline dated for two years. He was infatuated with her. All he could talk about what her smile, her laugh, her eyes and her voice. It was the first time that I had ever heard Jace say something like that, and I secretly hoped that one day he could say those things about me.

At the start of the year, Aline had cheated on Jace. When he confronted her about it, she laughed in his face. I still remember those words, it was on a Monday and it was at the cafeteria.

Flashback

"Aline. Is it true?" Asked Jace.

"Is what true?" She asked, twirling her black hair between her thin fingers.

"That you've slept with more than 20 guys since we started dating!? Is that fucking true?!" He yelled, his voice cracking in the end.

She smirked. She actually had dared to smirk. I wanted to walk over to her and slap her, but I couldn't. It was a time where everyone thought we hated each other. Well, he might've hated me but I sure didn't hate him.

"Gonna cry about it, stud?" She said teasingly

"Don't play your fucking games with me Aline." He said.

"Yes, I did sleep with them. Happy?" Sighed Aline and Jace took deep breaths.

"Why?" He whispered.

"Because I never fucking liked you." She spat and he looked broken. Like a child who had just gotten his toy taken away.

"I never liked you Jace. I spent 24 months lying to you, kissing you and sleeping with you. It was just for the fun and popularity. I mean c'mon, ever since we started dating, I was golden. People respected me, girls wanted to be me and guys wanted to fuck me. It was all an act." She said laughing and Jace couldn't move.

"So bye now, we're over. Done." Said Aline and walked away, laughing like a witch.

Alec rushed over to Jace and sat him down. All I could see was Jace's hurt eyes staring at the floor and all I could feel was my heart breaking at the state he was in.

End Flashback.

"I don't want to go." I said.

"What?! Why?" Whined Isabelle.

"You know why! You guys know how Aline is!" I said.

"Actually... I don't go to your school so I kinda don't..." Said Quinn.

I told her what happened between Jace and her, and how they broke up.

"What a fucking bitch!" Said Quinn and I nodded.

"We're still going to that party though." Said Quinn and I sighed.

"Why?" I whined.

"To show you off, duh." Said Isabelle.

"Please explain." I said, slightly confused.

"Well, since you guys finally admitted your feelings to one another, you guys can show it off. And since you're absolutely gorgeous and sexy, we're going to definitely take that as our advantage." Said Quinn and I sighed but agreed with them.

Aline, you better watch you back. I'm gonna get you, and I'm gonna get you pretty fucking good.
