Last time:
"Ace... It's Ace! You ate a Devil's Fruit?!"
"Yeah. It's the Mera Mera no mi. Anyway, we can't talk like this! I'll catch up later! You guys run for it! I'll keep these guys busy! Xion, you're welcome to join if you want to," he told us.
"I have to watch over my nakama, Ace," I reasoned with him.
"Then go! All of you!"
"Let's go!" Luffy and I ordered, as we ran back to the ship.
"But, Luffy, Xion..." Nami called.
"Who the hell is that?" Sanji asked for her.
"Wait, Luffy, Xion! Who was that?" Nami asked.
"Is he someone you two know?" Vivi questioned.
"I'll explain when we get back to Going Merry," I answered. "I don't know about Luffy, though."
"Well you see... He's my brother!" Huh?
"BROTHER!?"
The crew and I continued to run back to the ship while Ace was holding off Smoker and his men.
"What do you think is happening?" Chopper-kun asked.
"A battle between smoke and fire?" Usopp guessed.
"He said he ate the Mera Mera no mi," Sanji reminded.
'Yeah, he did,' Carue agreed.
"But Luffy, is it true?" Nami asked our captain.
"Is Ace really your brother?" I asked as well.
"Yeah!" was all he gave as a reply. "But how do you know him, Xion?"
"I said I'll explain when we get back to the ship."
"Well, I'm not surprised you have a brother, but what's he doing on the Grand Line?" Zoro questioned the rubber pirate.
"Ace is a pirate. He left our island three years before me in search for One Piece." We were all shocked when we heard that. I was shocked because that wasn't what Ace told me at all, for his reason to be in the Grand Line.
"A-anyway, let's go back to the ship," Nami suggested.
"I second that. We have to get out of here before the Marines catch up to us," I agreed and reasoned. "Let's go!"
"Right, Nami-san! Xion-san!" With that, we all continued to run back to the ship.
"But I never thought I would meet Ace in a place like this," I heard Luffy say.
"Oi! The road splits up!" Usopp informed us.
"Usopp, go left! Everyone agrees?" Nami asked.
"Yes! I'm with you no matter which way you choose, Nami-san!" It's either 'yes', 'no' or don't say anything and just follow us, Tweedledee.
"Enough already, Ero(Perverted) Cook!" Zoro agrees with me.
It didn't take long for us to get back to the ship and put all our supplies away, for the time being.
"Hurry up and stack the supplies!" Nami told us.
"We're going to leave soon!" I followed. "Hurry! FULL SAIL!" As I watched everyone work, I can't help but feel like we're missing someone. Shaking it off as a false feeling, I gave the next order when I saw that everything was in place. "Set sail!" As soon as I said that, the feeling like we missed someone was still there. "Hey, guys! In case if it's just me, are we missing somebody?"
It was silent when I asked that question.
"Now that you mentioned it, I also feel like we're missing someone," Usopp agreed.
"So do I," Chopper-kun followed.
"And that missing someone... is the most important," Nami said.
"That IDIOT!" Zoro shouted.
"Just when exactly... WHEN EXACTLY DID HE SEPARATE FROM UUUUUUUS?!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, catching on to who we were missing... AGAIN!
It's been several minutes and we continued to sail without Luffy. It won't be my fault if he gets captured by Smoker. Then again, if Ace really is his brother, he'll catch up with us eventually. In the mean time, I was doing my Limit Break training in my Dive to the Heart. (I think I'll shorten it to DTTH.) Like the first time, though, A HEARTLESS ATTACKED ME FROM BEHIND! Luckily, I managed to block the attack, only to get hit by a different Heartless.
"Tell me again, why I have to get hurt by a Heartless at the start of this training," I demanded.
"Because this wouldn't be Limit Break Training if you didn't get hurt first. Badly I might add," Voice replied.
"Well, woohoo." I dodged as fast as I could in my current condition from the Heartless attack.
'I hope I can get this done soon,' I thought.
"Stop dodging!" Voice told me.
"Shut up!" I shouted, getting annoyed at the fact that I can't really do anything in my situation.
"You have to fight back, despite your situation! Fight as though you're fighting for something important! Do that and you will tap into the power of the Limit Break!"
"Didn't I tell you to shut up?!" As I shouted that, I swung Miraculous Blossom and destroyed an attacking Heartless. As I did, I noticed my Keyblade glow, just like how Luxord did, sort of.
'What was that, just now?' I wondered, almost giving the remaining Heartless their chance to land a hit on me. 'Wait a second... Limit Break...' It then hit me, the meaning of Limit Break. I nearly felt like I was going to explode, had I not remember that I was in the middle of training.
"If that's the case... Now that I think about it, it will be a do-or-die battle, if Vivi fails to convince the Rebels to postpone the war," I muttered. "I'll get a good scolding from Chopper-kun after this, too. But, oh well!" I held my Keyblade with both hands and charged in at the Heartless, fighting back with all my strength.
As I did, Miraculous Blossom was beginning to glow. After taking down a few Heartless, I heard a melody. It was different from the one with the Shotlock. I concentrated all my strength into my weapon. "Wingblade!" I shouted on instinct, as my Keyblades just multiplied and changed into six swords of light, floating behind my back as though I have six wings.
"What the...?" I spoke. Looking back to my opponents, I saw that they were going to surprise attack me. Acting on instinct, I grabbed two swords from their position and fought back. After I used those two swords, I grabbed the next two on instinct again. It went on like this until the last two swords in my hands disappeared. The moment that happened, I somehow summoned six spears and, telepathically, threw them all at the Heartless, all except one spear, which changed back into my Keyblade.
"Time to try what I was planning to do in this training," I said out loud, locking onto the remaining Heartless. Luckily for me, I was able to use my Shotlock ability in this training. When all my opponents were locked on, I unleashed my Shotlock skill. "Ragnarok!" I shouted, firing a salvo of light projectiles. As I did, I notice that there was a timing to it, due to the fact that, on instinct, I charged up more power into my Keyblade before releasing the Shotlock the moment I heard a small sound.
'Is it just me, or is the Shotlock different from before?' I wondered, as the projectiles chased after the Heartless until they were completely destroyed.
"Congratulations, Xion. You have completed your Limit Break training. And I see you added something else to your Limit Break," I heard Voice say.
"Well since the Shotlock was useful in battle, I thought about adding it as a finishing touch to the Limit Break," I reasoned. "And... I can't help but notice how different that Shotlock was, compared to before."
"Well you see, Xion. The thing is, there are many types of Shotlocks as there are Command Styles and Magics."
"Command Styles?"
"The skill you used earlier, before the Shotlock."
"I thought that was my Limit Break."
"It is. Your version of a Limit Break. And the Command Style, Wingblade, is your most powerful Command Style, that can only be used when you are near defeat."
"So that's why you wanted me to take a hit at the beginning of this training," I said, looking down in guilt.
"Yes. Do not worry, though. I understand your feelings. If I was suddenly attacked from behind at the beginning of my training, I will definitely blow a gasket on the once training me."
"But, you said there are other Command Styles. Am I able to do them?"
"That's right. You just need to hear the melody you heard when you began using your Limit Break."
"So that melody was a sign for a Command Style," I muttered. "Okay. And now that I'm done here, I should probably get back."
"Yes. You should. Ah, yes! Your captain is almost at the ship."
"Then I better go and give him a lesson for separating from us," I replied, returning to reality.
Just when I opened my eyes, I looked off a distance to see if what Voice say is true about Luffy.
"I see Luffy!" came Nami's voice.
"You sure?" Zoro asked. I got up to see where she saw him. Without a doubt, the idiot with the smiling face was right over there.
"Yeah. No doubt about it. With that dumb look on his face," Sanji replied. A hand was then stretched to the ship's railing.
"I'm... back!" came the boy's voice, as he rocketed himself back onto the Going Merry.
"Sanji-san! Tony-kun!" Vivi cried, as the two were hit- Wait, what? Did Luffy just injure Chopper-kun?
"Hey, now..." Usopp began to complain, for he was worried that Luffy might damage our ship if he continues to return like this.
"Shishishishi! Sorry about that, Sanji, Chopper," Luffy 'apologized', as I make my way towards the Devil's Fruit user.
"Bastard...! Don't you even know your own strength!?" Sanji questioned, strangling him. "I oughta throw you overboard!"
"He's right!" Nami agreed. "Do you know how much trouble you caused us? Act a little more like a captain. And be glad that Xion didn't see you hurt Chopper."
"Why?" Luffy asked.
"She's training in her Dive to the Heart," Vivi explained.
"That reminds me! I have to go back to her to keep giving her treatment," Chopper-kun said.
"No need, Chopper-kun," I spoke, getting everyone's attention.
"Ah! Xion! When did you-?!"
"Since you announced that you spotted Luffy," I interrupted Nami. "And yes, I saw Chopper-kun got hurt by him because he had to rocket himself over here." A dark aura appeared around me as I continued to speak. "Sanji. Please hand me the idiot that you have in your hand."
"Yes, Xion-swan~!" HOW BLIND CAN HE GET?! Talking to me with that stupid voice.
"AHHHH! No! Sanji! Don't do it!" Luffy begged, trying to get his vest out of the chef's grip. Once he was passed to me, I dragged him over to the back of the ship.
"YOU STUPID IDIOT! DID WE NOT GO OVER THIS A NUMBER OF TIMES?! I SAID IF YOU HURT CHOPPER-KUN IN ANYWAY, UNLESS IF IT WAS BY ACCIDENT, I WILL BEAT YOU UP! IN YOUR CASE, IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT IS BY ACCIDENT! AND NOT ONLY THAT, YOU HAD TO GET SEPERATED FROM US WHEN WE WERE TRYING TO ESCAPE FROM THE MARINES! DO YOU NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR LEFT FROM YOUR RIGHT OR WERE YOU DISTRACTED BY SOMETHING?! IF I DIDN'T KNOW ANY BETTER, I WOULD'VE TURNED YOU IN TO THE MARINES BACK BEFORE I OFFICIALLY BECAME A PART OF THIS CREW!" I yelled, as I beat him up in any way possible, along with the help of my Dream Eaters.
After a short while of beating, I dragged his now bloody form back to the front where everyone else is. As I did, I notice the weird looks they were giving me.
"What are you looking at?!" I demanded, still mad at Luffy's idiocity.
"N-nothing!" they all replied.
"That's what I thought. Also Luffy, I know I didn't beat you up that much, due to your ability, so tell me; where is Ace?"
"R-right here," the person in question replied for him. I turned to see that it was Ace.
"Oh, Ace."
"I'm guessing you beat up my little brother because he got seperated from you guys while escaping, huh."
"You only said that to make it look like you're guessing when I actually yelled it out loud enough that you can hear it," I said.
"Ouch! That hurts!" he sarcastically said. We both laugh at that.
"All right, and now that he's here, why don't you explain how you know him, Xion?" Usopp asked.
"Oh yeah. I didn't explain it yet, did I?" I asked.
"Save it 'til later," Zoro said, looking at the side.
"Baroque Works! That's the Billion's Fleet!" Vivi identified.
"Hey Xion. It's been a while since we've worked together. I hoped you improved on those sword skills of yours," Ace said.
"You bet I did, Ace. Then, shall we?" I asked.
"Xion! You and Ace fought together once?!" When did this rubber bastard get all healed up?
Ignoring his question, I jumped off of the ship and landed on Ace's small one.
"Let's go!" I shouted.
"Yeah!" my partner agreed, using his power to start up the ship and take us over to the fleet.
"So you've come, Fire Fist Ace!"
"And he brought a girl, too!"
"Does he think we'll just let him go if he gives her to us?!"
Hearing that statement just now made me pop a blood vessle. (At this rate, I might die before regaining all my memories.)
"As if I'll hand her over to you idiots!" Ace answered to them. "She's my partner. I think you all know her name. Starlight Blade Xion!"
The Billions panicked when they heard my name. Some even mentioned how high my first bounty is for an East Blue Dweller.
While they were all panicking, Ace and I jumped off his ship and went over their fleet, only to then land on his small ship again.
"Let's show him what good wind does to fire, Xion," Ace suggested.
"You just read my mind," I responded, summoning Miraculous Blossom. "Aeroga!"
"Hiken!" As I used my strongest wind spell so far, Ace's fist was on fire. He then launched it as a column of fire at the ships. Thanks to my magic, Ace's flame got so big, it completely engulfed all the Billion's ships, leaving no survivors.
"I see you haven't lost you touch," I said.
"That's my line to you. And I see that you improved on your magic," Ace complimented.
"KANPAI!" When Ace and I returned to the ship, Luffy immediately suggested that we party for his reunion with his brother.
"Who said I'd be your nakama?" Ace asked. Usopp thought he was going to join us.
"To delicious drinks..." Usopp began.
"KANPAI!" Why would those three cheer for that? I would never know.
"Don't worry about them," Nami spoke. "These guys are always looking for a reason to Kanpai."
"Ace! Are you really going to be our nakama?" Luffy asked.
'Didn't he just said that he isn't joining us as a nakama?' I wondered, not bothering to ask.
"I'm in pursuit of a man," he said, taking a drink. "He's known as Blackbeard."
"Blackbeard?" Usopp repeated.
"The pirate that nearly sacked the Kingdom of Drum?" Vivi guessed. Wait, how does she know that?
"He used to be a member of Whitebeard Pirates, Second Division. My subordinate. Until he committed the greatest crime you can on a pirate ship," Ace explains. "He murdered his nakama and fled the ship. As his commander, I have to find him and finish him off."
"So that's why you're after him," Usopp said, understanding his situation.
"The only reason I came to this country is because he was reportedly seen in Yuba."
"Isn't Yuba where we're heading?" I asked Vivi. She nodded as an answer.
"So then, you're going to the same place we're going," Nami said.
Vivi then took out a map. "Our ship just crossed onto the Sandora River. First, we'll land at Erumalu. Then we'll cross inland through Arabasta to here, Yuba. Yuba is where the Rebel leader is."
"I get it. So you're headed to Yuba, too," Ace spoke.
"Where Nami-san, Xion-san and Vivi-chan go~!" Oh great. Here we go again.
"Quit it, Love Cook." Thank you Zoro.
"What was that, you bastard?"
"ANYWAY!" I shouted, before he starts a fight with our swordsman. "It looks like you'll be traveling with us for a while, so please bear with us."
"With you along, this'll be a cinch!" Usopp exclaimed.
"Shishishishi! Let's make it a fun trip, Ace!" Luffy said.
"YEAH!" we all cheered to that.
"Oh! By the way, how do you know Xion? Or is it the other way around?"
"Days before you recruited me, Ace visited East Blue," I explained.
"WHAT?!" They all spat their drinks at me and the person in question.
"Is that true, Ace?!" Luffy asked.
"Yeah. I wanted to pick you up, have you join the Whitebeard Pirates, or at least tell you what you needed to bring before you go there," the fireman replied, as the two of us wiped the beer off of us. "Before I went there, I stopped by at Tanoshi Island. At first I found it weird when I noticed how quiet it was and all, until I saw Xion with some kids."
"The people there thought he was one of those bad pirates and had me fight him, when he suddenly fell asleep right in the middle of it," I continued. "It wasn't long until a group of bad pirates came that they realize how good he really is."
"Well, Ace is strong!" Luffy said.
"I meant by personality. Anyway, after we defeated those pirates together, he gave me some tips about the Grand Line, since I told him that I wanted to join a good pirate crew so I could regain my memories."
"So wait, then back when you told us that a good pirate told you about the Grand Line, it was Ace who told you?" Zoro asked.
"Yeah. It was a good thing, too. He even said that he had a feeling that an idiot pirate would come and do anything to have me join him. I didn't think it would be his little brother, though."
"Awe, jeez. You're making me blush," Luffy said, taking that as a compliment instead of an insult.
"That wasn't a compliment, Luffy," Ace said. "And that's pretty much it."
"Hang on! How did you return to the Grand Line then?!" Usopp demanded. "We have to go over that Reverse Mountain to get there, and Calm Belt is out of question!"
"If I didn't have my fire abilities, it would've been. My boat doesn't need to have wind on its side, as you saw earlier. And if there are any Sea Kings in my way, I could just burn them up."
"Hahaha! As expected from Ace," I laughed.
"Well then, to the story of how Xion and Ace met..." Luffy spoke. "KANPAI!"
We all agreed to that and cheered.
