HealingChapter Four

A/N: Oh My Gods. You can hate me. You can all hate me. I hate me. I took almost a year to update! That's so horrible it's making me shudder.

I'm soooooooooooooo sorry!

If you don't want to hate me, hate my school, and the evil teacher who give way too much homework.

Anyway, I'm not making you wait anymore.

FINALLY, HERE'S THE CHAPTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER! GO CRAZY WITH MEEEEEEEEE!

Percy stood there, in shock. His entire body had frozen, and all he could hear was a low, distant sound of the sirens.

What he was seeing was almost unbearable.

The girl's familiar face was injured, and that cut on her arm was making his body go numb.

He had known her since forever, and he felt a pain in his chest as his eyes got moist.

His cousin, Thalia, was on that stretcher.

*Don'tmindmeI'mjustalinebreak*

After Percy got out of his stupor, he stepped forward, testing his legs.

He reached out for her, but a gloved hand put it back. One doctor he didn't recognize started to push him back.

"No! Wait! I know her! You got to let me see her!"

Apparently, Annabeth heard him, because she looked back and directed orders to the other doctors. They started to drag Thalia to God knows where, and the doctor that was holding Percy followed them.

Percy was about to follow too, when he felt another hand on his arm, only softer. He turned around, about to argue again, when he saw it was Annabeth.

He held her shoulders. "Where did they take her?"

She put soothing hands on his chest. "Calm down first, Percy"

"Calm down! I can't calm down! She's my cousin! My best friend! I need to see her… I-I need…"

He was going to keep ranting, but he felt Annabeth's hands on his face, making him look into her deep, grey eyes. He hadn't noticed how beautiful and different they were.

"Percy! Calm… Down" She said. She sounded severe, almost like his mother, when she was giving him a hard time.

Percy felt the need to obey her somehow, so he took deep breathes, his eyes never leaving hers.

She nodded slowly. "That's it. Now, listen. Your cousin was in a car accident. She has a few scratches on her face, but that's nothing. What we're worried about is that she has a cut, and there's still a piece of glass inside her arm"

Percy listened and started breathing faster. Annabeth noticed, and took her hands off his face, and intertwined their fingers.

"She's going into surgery. She'll have the full attention of some of the best doctors in this place"

"She has to be able to have her arm functions, Annabeth. One of the things she loves the most to do is to shoot with a bow and arrows. She goes to this special place all the time and practices. She even participates on some competitions and she wins all of them. She's great at it"

Annabeth nodded. "She'll have her arm back, Percy, I wouldn't worry"

Percy smiled a little. "Yeah, well, that's my job. I worry. Too much, sometimes"

Annabeth smiled, and suddenly took her hands off of his, making him feel cold in his palms.

She pulled her sleeve up and checked her watch.

"I have to go check on Kayla. You want to come?"

"Sure"

*Linebreaksrockkkkkkkkkkkk*

After having done all the checkups she needed, Annabeth sighed in relief when she saw it was already ten o'clock. She was finished for the day.

"Really?"

"Yeah"

"Well, goodbye then… See you tomorrow?"

"Of course"

"Okay… Bye"

"Bye"

They both tried to hug, but things got awkward when they stumbled on it and hit their foreheads. They both put their hands on their heads, and smiled.

Then, Percy held her shoulders, like he did earlier, and pulled her towards him. They held each other, probably for a longer time than necessary, and they realized they were pressed against each other, and felt their hearts beating fast.

They broke away and mumbled another set of goodbyes, before going separate ways.

On her way out, Annabeth saw Juniper smirking at her again, and all she did was glare and mouth a shut up.

*Linebreaksforevahhhh*

Annabeth got home and crushed on her couch. She felt so tired, even more than usual. Her back hurt and her head was pounding.

She closed her eyes and sighed. She felt as if gravity had a bigger effect on her at that moment.

Then, she heard the door of the bathroom closing, and opened her eyes slightly.

She saw Nico wearing nothing but a towel in front of her, with an eyebrow lifted.

"You look terrible"

"Thanks"

"It's true"

"I know"

"Bianca went grocery shopping. You want anything?"

"You're offering me a favor?"

"Yeah, well, you seem to be in a frail state"

"Huum. I'm not hungry. But thanks, anyway. All I need to do is take a shower and crash in my beautiful bed"

"Okay then"

No one moved.

"You do realize you have to get up to get to the shower, right?"

"Just give me a minute"

A minute passed. Annabeth stayed on the couch.

Nico sighed. He picked her up bridal style, and Annabeth was thankful for him being there.

He kicked the bathroom door open and placed Annabeth on the ground. He helped her to stand and balance herself.

When she didn't move again, he poked her in the stomach. She held his hand to stop him.

"Would you stop?"

"Just checking to see if you're awake"

"I'm awake"

"Barely"

She just sighed.

Nico smirked and took off her jacket. Then her scarf. Anyway, he stripped her down until she was only wearing her shirt and pants. (Calm down, you pervs.)

He then sat her on a chair that stayed in the bathroom. She stayed there, and waited for him to come back. He came back with comfortable clothes, and a towel.

He looked around to see if he had forgotten anything. Once he was sure he had everything figured out, he looked at her. She was still on the chair, in the same position he had let her, like she had turned into a statue.

He chuckled lightly, which made her open her eyes.

She held out her hands to him, like a small child, asking silently for him to help her to get up. He helped her.

"You still know how to take of your clothes, right? And take a shower? As much as I love you, basically being your brother and all, I don't think I'd be able to do that" he said a smirk in his voice.

Annabeth tried to punch him in the arm, but she was so out of it, it had the strength of a ladybug. Nico full-on laughed, which made Annabeth flinch. Damn, stupid headache.

He then stopped, and apologized. She just heard him leave the bathroom, so she could take a shower.

Annabeth looked at herself in the mirror. She did look horrible. She rubbed her eyes and took the rest of her clothes off, and stepped under the shower.

*Lotsandlotsoflinebreakkkkkkks*

After she got out of the bathroom, already dressed up and even more sleepy, Annabeth was greeted by the sweet smell of hot chocolate.

She got in the kitchen and saw Nico waiting with a smile and a steaming mug of hot chocolate.

She smiled and sat on the counter, next to him.

She drank the hot chocolate in a matter of minutes. Nico's hot chocolate was heaven, and could heal pretty much anything from muscular pains to heartbreak.

After she was finished, he took the mug from her hands and left it on the sink. He helped her to get up, only for her to step on his feet. It was a thing they did since they were little. He held her close to him ad moved his legs, moving her along. She rested her head on his chest and waited as he took her to her bedroom.

When they got there, he put her on her bed and went to her closet, to get another cover. After she was under two layers of warm covers, he sat beside her, bent down and kissed her forehead.

"Goodnight, Annabeth"

"Night, Nico"

"I love you"

"I love you too"

That was the last thing she said before she completely passed out.

A/N: Well, I hope this is enough for now! I can't tell you guys for sure when I'll update again, but I'll try to be faster…

Hope you liked the chapter, and if you did, leave a review for me! I love them!
