Chapter 16
A New Life Begins

.:Jay:.

He lay on their bed and stared up at the ceiling of their hotel room. He was so glad they were able to escape without getting caught but he was shocked that Nya went as far as cutting her arm and created bruises on her palm and legs. Already they have been on the road for two days and news of the princess missing and kidnapped have already spread out. For some reason, it felt like he kidnapped her since he's the one that has her at the moment. When he heard the door open from the bathroom, he looked up to see a completely different girl. Instead of a girl with pale skin, raven hair that fell in loose curls and amber eyes; stood a girl with dark chocolate hair that fell in waves to adorn her fairly light skin. Her almond eyes, framed by long lashes, were a bright Caribbean blue. Her small and refined nose and pearlique lips were coated with matte red lipstick.

"What do you think?" He heard Jay asked and he couldn't help but let his mouth hung open.

"Y-Y-You look beautiful and different but if you ask me, I preferred your raven hair and your amber eyes."

"Oh… thanks." And a smile graced her lips and small dimples were formed.

"I never knew you had dimples."

"That's because I've been trying to get dimple for the past week and these contacts are irritating me but I've read up that they won't hurt after a while." She said and a crimson blush rose to her cheek. She sat down on the bed and he looked at her. "To be really honest, I miss my brother."

"Don't worry Nya, we'll see him soon when the search parties calm down. But you'll be surprised to see the house."

"Oh yeah, I still can't believe you won't show me the picture Sohma sent you of the house."

"That's because I want it to be a surprised." He smiled and he leaned in and kissed her lips. When he pulled apart, Nya burst into a fit of giggles. "What?"

"You got my lipstick all over your lips." She then swept her thumb over his lips to wipe off the lipstick. But he saw her face coming closer, he closed his eyes and he felt her lips on his. The kiss started out gentle before it became fiercer. Nya pushed him down by the shoulders and he felt her straddle his waist. Her lips trailed down his jawline and he groaned. He felt her hands undoing the buttons on his shirt while he undid the zip at the back of her shirt. Once he got the shirt off, he flipped them over. He then kissed her sweet spot on her neck and her gasp indicated him that he got the spot. He then lowered his lips to her collarbone and then between her breast. When he got to her stomach, it felt it rolled underneath his lips. "S-Stop, it tickles!"

"You're just ticklish everywhere aren't you?" He asked with a warm chuckle and he moved his lips back onto her lips. "Come on, we have to leave early tomorrow morning so we should be getting some rest now."

"One more kiss?" She asked softly and he kissed her softly.

.:Nya:.

She could help but stare in awe at the sight before her eyes. She pressed her face against the window as the car rode on a dirt track near the mountain's edge which led to the village. Below the cliff was a thick and green forest but on top of the mountain was where the true beauty lives. The forest –or maybe rainforest- was draped with vines and covered with exotic flowers of each and every colour. She could see colorful birds perched on branches and large butterflies fluttering near the flowers.

"Jay, this place is beautiful!" She exclaimed.

"I glad you think so… You got no idea how glad I brought a four-wheel-drive otherwise we wouldn't be up here." She heard him replied as he was indicating to the dirt tracks. "Have you seen the waterfall yet?"

"What waterfall? Oh my…" She trailed off as she saw the waterfall which poured water over the sides and down to the forest below. Unlike the waterfalls near the palace, this one was crystal clear. Then she knew they were close to the village. It was on the other side of the waterfall. Soon enough, they were at the stream which led to the waterfall and the dirt track pulled away from the edge of the mountain. The drove along the stream and into the flower forest where many birds flew above them. But then the car started to shake and Nya held onto her seat.

"See my point?" She heard Jay asked and she nodded her head. She looked behind to still see the trailer with Jay's furniture was there. Thanks to Jay's handy work, he built a rather long trailer, enough to fit most of his furniture. In the back seat and the boot, were their suitcases and luggage. But the car suddenly jolted that Nya flew forward despite the seat belt and then the bumpy car ride was over. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." She replied and she saw that they were now on a smooth concrete road. Then they saw they had to turn and Jay slowed the car down and carefully drove over the stone bridge. Then they came to an open clearing. It was the village. Jay stopped the car when they saw a man who was possibly in his late twenties or early thirties. She heard Jay turn off the engine and she took it as their cue to get out. When she opened the door, she was greeted with a cool breeze and the fresh smell of baked bread. The air was so clear that she felt a slight coldness down her throat.

"You must be Isaac and Mabel!" They both heard the man exclaimed as he walked forward. He was fairly tall with a narrow face but his dark tawny hair fell past his ears and his magenta eyes peered into theirs.

"And you must be Sohma." Jay greeted and he shook hands with the chief of the village. Nya then shook his hand afterwards. She couldn't believe this was the chief, she was expecting someone much older. But then again, she remembered Jay telling her that his father just passed away from an uncommon cold and he became chief.

"I'm so glad you could make it up this far. I would like to personally welcome to Esterlyn! Now, here's the map of the village and your house is just here."

She and Jay took the map off the chief and they both looked at it. The whole village was a circle with the forest surrounding it. There was a creek running through the village and roads and paths here and there. There was a small red circle around a particular spot and Nya knew that was their house.

"We can't thank you enough." Nya said brightly and bowed her head.

"No, thank you. We haven't had someone to fix plumbing or electrical stuff for years and by having you here Isaac, it really changes everything. You'll probably be busy for the first couple of weeks."

"Well I'm glad we're able to help out a bit as well."

"I better let you guys go and settle in. I'll see you around soon."

"Thank you!" Both she and Jay chorused and they both went back into the car. Jay passed her the map and she navigated them to the house but she couldn't help but looked elsewhere. The roads were rather narrow but from the looks of it, no one had a car. She saw many bikes and people walking pulling wagons. There were also many young kids who would clear the road for them to pass.

"Do you think we're the first outsiders to be welcomed in here? I'm sure no one else knows of its location and most of these people must have been born here." She asked Jay as she waved to a little girl that waved at them as they drove past.

"I don't think we're the only ones but I'm sure they haven't had any outsiders for a while." She heard Jay muttered. Each house or little shop was made out of grey and cream, stone bricks. There were many rice fields and small farms along the side of the road and many flowers here and there. Most houses had vines attached to one wall or flower draped down the window sill. "There it is!"

She turned her head to where Jay pointed. The house was beautiful! No, it was more like a cozy cottage. The land was slightly bigger than everyone else's and the house was slightly bigger too. It was a one story house with grey bricks. A large oak tree hung over the house putting in the shade. The front door was huge and she could see a chimney on the side. There were windows as well but each had curtains half covering the inside.

"Jay, it's beautiful!" She exclaimed and once he parked the car she reached over the hand gears and pulled him into a tight hug.

"I'm glad you liked it Nya."

"I don't like it. I love it!" She squealed and like a child who was about to get lollies, she bolted from the car and she ran up to the door. She peered through the frosted glass on the door to see a long corridor with openings into other rooms and doors. "Can we check it out first? Please!" She called out and she heard Jay's warm chuckles behind her. She bounced on the balls of her feet as Jay inserted the key and opened the door. Instantly, she ran in and poked her head into every room. To her surprise, the house was already furbished. There was a large living room with antique furniture and a beautiful fireplace. There was a grand study and a bathroom on the opposite side of the hall ways. The ex-princess ventured deeper into the house and she found herself in a big kitchen. At last, she can cook! The dining room was next to the kitchen and she ran into another part of the house. And found three bedrooms. One was the master bedroom whereas the other two were guest bedrooms. She entered what would be her's and Jay's room –the master bedroom- and she gasped to see a king-sized canopy bed with silk draped from the beams. The room was painted in a warm red colour and the beams across the roof were a dark oak color. She found an archway leading to the walk-in-wardrobe and a door to their personal bathroom. She turned around to see Jay in the doorway. Instantly she ran up to him and threw herself on him.

"Jay, this place is stunning and breath-taking. Thank you so much!" She squealed and she kissed his lips quickly. "But this place to too big for us."

"Well your brother would be visiting right? Who knows if he stayed longer than a night and maybe my parents and Aunt Lucinda would come over as well."

"You're so thoughtful Jay. I love you so much. But what about the other furniture we brought with us?"

"I was planning to use some of it in the guest bedrooms and in the study. It's a shame there's a fireplace in the living room otherwise I would have placed the TV there…" She heard Jay whined and laughed playfully.

"Well we have lots of unpacking to do."

"Yes, we do."

.:Five Months Later:.

Nya sighed with relief as she set the pen down and she stretched out her fingers. After she and Jay have settled in, requests were sent in from the villagers for Jay to fix their appliances and she didn't get enough time to spend with Jay so she ended up in the house alone for the first two months. Jay being brilliant as always, recommended her to start a journal which then brought Nya back to her mother's. She has completed her mother's wishes yet sometimes Nya wonder if her mother is looking down to guild her through every step. So Nya wrote her lifetime into the journals she brought from the local shops. She wrote down everything she was since the age of six. There were probably a couple pages for when she was six to eighteen. For this year and last year, she wrote about her set up engagement to Cole and to now. After five months, she has finished. No more writing and no more hand cramps.

Although news about her being kidnapped have reached the village through Sohma's brother who actually lives in the city but lucky, no suspects it's her. Even though she's twenty-one –she turned that age a month ago- she dearly wants to start a family with Jay. She already knows it's too early but what can she say? She had left the village once with Jay to go back to Ninjago so he could meet his parents while she was in the Ninjago Park. She had a hat on with sunglasses and she saw her brother there as well! She was glad she was able to chat with him once again but from what Kai told her, Cole is absolutely depressed while Lou is mad as a bull. Then Jay came and poor Jay; Kai kept lecturing him to make sure she was fine.

Only once Jay's parents and his Aunt came over to visit and they found out about her. It was a risk she and Jay decided to take but the three of them swore to never told anyone but they were overjoyed with the fact their son was chosen to be loved by the princess. That day forward, Nya understood why Jay complained his parents were embarrassing because the words they said still lingered in her mind.

"When we come back to visit next time, I hope you and Jay have grandchildren waiting for us!"

That's what got her thinking into starting a family but it was too soon. But when she heard the front door open, a bright smile entered onto her face.

"Nya, I'm home!" She heard Jay exclaimed as she also heard the front door shut. Instantly, she got up and ran to meet him. Once she had locked her sight onto him, she jumped into his open arms and he swung her around.

"Welcome home!" The ex-princess laughed and she kissed his cheek. Life was perfect for her now and she intended it to stay like that for the rest of her life that she'll spend with Jay.

This is love. It wasn't about caring for the other and share love gestures for the rest of your life but it was about putting the person you love the most on top of your needs. It's a desire to always make they're happy if it comes with great consequences. What she had for Jay wasn't infatuation love or Eros love or conditional love but they had Unconditional love and nothing can break them apart even if an angry 'father' steps in. She loves Jay and that's the end of it.

Tada! I would like to give a big thanks to everyone who have read, reviewed, favorite and followed my story. It really means a lot to me although I have come to the conclusion that this story won't have a sequel.

I know most of you are probably angry but this isn't the end because there really is no ending to any particular story as I have just discovered. We all come to this site with big imaginations, that's why we write, to show and express our imaginations and now my amazing readers, you may image the rest.
