Riker's POV-
I sighed. I really want to take Laura out on our first date, but I can't because no one knows about us dating. We both agreed to keep it a secret for a while, because of the huge age difference, but its so hard when what I want to do 99 percent of the time is cup her face and kiss her. Right now she's in the shower. I went out onto the balcony and looked around, sighing once again. Who knew keeping a relationship from people, who you love, was so hard. How did Ross and Paige manage to keep their relationship a secret for so long? I can't go and talk about it with any of my siblings, so I can't ask for help.
Then it hit me. The sea breeze.. it can be a... a.. um sunset beach date? Oh something like that. But I want it to be perfect, so I'm going to start getting things ready. I run into the room, relieved by the sound of the shower running. I scribbled a note for Laura and ran out the room just as the shower stopped. I've just got to figure out where to go now for the things I need. Don't you just love being in different countries that you don't know your way around just yet? Notice my sarcasm?
Laura's POV-
As I got out the shower, I heard the door slam shut. I sighed, knowing it could of been Riker. I grabbed a bath robe and put it on. Then walked out the bathroom.
"Riker?!" I yelled, question-ally as I walked around the room. No response. Of course. I looked out onto the balcony, nope. No sign of him. I then walked into the living room area and fell backwards onto the couch. Where is he? I thought we could spend the day together. But nope. Not even a.. wait! Maybe he left a note? I looked on the coffee table and there it was.
Hey Laur, I've gone out. But I'm getting things ready for our first ever date. Wear something warm and comfortable. I'll be back to take you there at 8:30. Have fun getting ready. See you later! Love, Riker. xx p.s bring a swim suit, just encase you need it.
Aw, he's so sweet. I wonder what he has planned for us. Looking at the clock, I realise it's 12:30. Panicking, I make something for my lunch, and rush back into the bedroom to pick clothes for tonight. I know he said something warm and comfortable, but I want it to be cute at the same time.
Ratliff's POV-
It's been an hour since Rocky left the room, and switched with Calum. I can never get those words that he said to me, and the look on his face when he said them, out of my head. I deserve it. I deserved those words said. If only I wasn't a complete ass.
"Um are you okay?" I heard Calum say from beside me. I just simply nodded. Hearing someone knock on the door, I got up and answered it.
"Ell! Can you do me a favour tonight?" Ross asked me as soon as I opened it, sighing slightly, I nodded.
"Can you go on a double date with Paige and I? See um.. thing is.. iwanttoaskhertomarryme" he then said, I looked at him confused. I heard the first part about the double date.
"Ross, slow down. What was the last part, I didn't quite get it." I told him, and he looked like he was debating with himself for a moment. But then he just nodded and took a deep breath.
"I want to ask Paige... if she will marry me." He said, looking at me. I just stood there shocked. What else can you do if one of your best friends, who is only 18, wants to ask his pregnant girlfriend, which he may or may not know about, to marry him.
"Congrats man!" I heard a voice say, snapping me out of my train of thought. It was Calum.
"Thanks!" He just simply replied to him, before looking back at me with pleading eyes.
"I'll do it." I said to him, and a grin spread across his face.
"Thanks! I'll do the same for you if you want to propose to Rydel one day." He said, "I just don't want to be alone when I do it, I'm that nervous." He then added.
"Don't be, she loves you. I have never, EVER seen so much love between a couple that you two have, she'll say yes. Trust me." Calum said, before walking back into the room.
"So umm I take it she told you then?" I asked him, trying to be careful about the subject.
"Told me what?" He asked, looking confused. So she hasn't told him, so he really does want to propose to her, and not just because she's pregnant. Wow.
"That ummm.. she loves you very much." I said, talking trash. Like, that was the only thing I could think of.
"I already knew that." Ross replied, with a slight laugh and I nodded. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. "So um anyway, about 7ish?" He then asked and I nodded. He gave me a thumbs up before running down the hallway. Probably to buy the ring or planning some cheesy proposal. You never know with that boy. I started to shut the door, but as I did, I saw someone knock on Rocky's and Ryland's room door. I sighed once I realised it was Maia. I still feel something off with her. Shaking my head, I closed the door. It's his life, he can do what he wants. If he wants to involve HER, then there's nothing I can do about it except watch as something goes horribly wrong. I know something will, I can feel it. I send Rydel a quick text, letting her know of the plans for tonight before heading to my bedroom and trying to get some sleep. I lost a lot of sleep due to certain activities and guilt.
-several hours later-
Rocky's POV-
I know what I'm doing can hurt several people, but I don't really care. Maia's a great girl and she is amazing. When I'm with her, I can forget about my troubles. I know that I'm just using her, when I really shouldn't. I was taught and brought up better then this. But once someone messes with your emotions like me, acting like they want you but really they don't, all that just flies out the window.
"Rocky?" She asked, snapping me out of my trail of thought. I looked at her and smiled. I took in what she was actually wearing, it was cute.(***) She smiled back. Ahh that smile. Wait, am I actually falling for Maia?
"Yes, sorry. I just zoned out, something I tend to do a lot recently." I told her, shrugging my shoulders. She giggled softly.
"It doesn't matter Rocky, and I have noticed you do that a lot" She said, smiling. Then she started to shiver.
"Here, take this" I insisted, taking off my jacket.
"No, what about you?" She asked, as I draped my jacket around her shoulders.
"I'm really warm anyway, I was going to take it off." I told her, causing her to sigh.
"Oh alright." She said, smiling slightly. As I was going to reply, there was a group of people. Only four of them. I realised them being Ross, Paige, Rydel and him. Oh great. They're all going on a double date by the looks of things. Ratliff looked at me briefly, hurt evident in his eyes. Serves him right. But he's with Rydel, she's the one that he obviously wants. So I did something that I thought I wouldn't do, I pulled Maia close, as I still have a grip on the jacket, and kissed her, softly, on the lips. She took several seconds to kiss back, but I figured that it was just the shock.
Ross' POV-
Well, saying that Rocky's toast is the understatement of the year. He really doesn't know what's going to hit him or what on earth he's getting to. Well everyone was gob smacked, well except from Ell, he was gob smacked, but there was a hint of hurt in there. Wait, what? Why would he look hurt? We were all stood there frozen. Eventually they pulled away, but they looked into each others eyes, well I think, it was hard to tell from this angle. But I'm still confused, why was Ell hurt when Rocky kissed her.
"Well um.." Rydel started, knocking sense back into us. "We better, um, be going now." She then added, motioning towards the taxi cab. In the back of a taxi cab, one quick turn you were on my lap. No? Alright then.
"Cute couple." Paige basically gushed. I was going to ask why she thought that, but she doesn't know I used to date Maia, but none of us expected Rocky to do that. Whether she's my ex or not.
"Um.. yeah. I guess?" I said, well basically asked. Paige looked slightly confused. "I mean, I don't really see it, but I guess they could be." I then added, lying. She nodded slightly.
"Okay then, so are we going then?" She asked, well everyone.
"Yes, lets go." I said, pushing her towards the taxi so Maia doesn't see her.
"Yeah, come on Rydel. Follow them." Ratliff said, as they both, I think, started to walk. As I was about to get in, Maia gave me a slight smirk and a little wave, without Rocky noticing it. Wait, does that mean she still wants to be with me? But then why did she let Rocky kiss her? Things that never will be answered. But never the less, I'm not going to let her ruin my plans.
Rocky's POV-
Now that everyone's gone, I looked at her worried. Afraid she might slap me or something along those lines. Well here goes, here comes my lame ass apology.
"I'm really sorry Maia! I shouldn't of done that, and I have no idea what came over me, but something did. I understand if you hate me, and never want to speak to me again. I really would understand that. I don't even know if you have a boyfriend and.." I said, before she kissed me again, briefly, before pulling away."That was a nice way of telling me to shut up." I then added.
"Rocky, I don't hate you. In fact I have some feelings for you." She told me, smiling.
"Well this is going to make things easy. Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked her. I don't really want to date her, and I know this is wrong. But if he can use my sister, like he is, then I guess there's no harm in doing the same.
"Of course." She replied, smiling. I started leaning in again, to kiss her, and she did too, but her phone rang. "Sorry, I'll be right back." She insisted and walked away a couple of feet. Once she came back, she was frowning. "I'm sorry Rocky, I've got to go. Family emergency. I'll call you, okay?" She said sadly, and kissed my cheek goodbye.
"Bye." I said as she started to walk off. I walked back into the hotel. Maybe she is my get out of jail free card. Does that make sense?
Maia's POV-
I didn't want to say yes. I don't feel that way about him. Sure, he's a nice person, but the only way I'm getting close to Ross again, is to use his brother to do it. So that's why I said yes. I'm using him, to get Ross. He will be mine again. NO ONE is going to get in the way of that. Besides, last time I knew, he was single, so maybe he'll be jealous as well? Well if he is, that's just a bonus. But he will be mine again, even if it's the last thing I do.
-Couple of hours later-
Ross' POV-
I left the table 5 minutes a go, I used the excuse that I needed the restroom. I sighed. I'm really nervous, what if she says no? What if I ruin things? No, this is a stupid thing. I should call it off. I was about to, someone shouted me.
"Ross, we're ready when you are." Someone said, handing me my acoustic guitar. I nodded. I guess it is too late to back out. "We just need the ring." They then added. I nodded and got the small box out of my pocket and handed it too them. You know how in that Austin and Ally episode where the piano fell out the sky for Ally.. well I'm doing that. Just not a piano... and not for Ally.
I took another deep breath, and started to play.
