Poor Rossy: even though I'm being pretty evil with what's gonna happen, well sorry, she's not getting thrown under a bus, even though I'm pretty sure everyone would want her too... Sorry! And, none of them have been confirmed dead... yet.

Chapter 23

Rydel's POV-

As soon as the doctor said those last few words, I swear time frozen. I took a nervous glance at Ross and he was just stood there, emotionless. Well obviously Paige never got around to telling him about the baby. Wait, does this mean the baby can die as well as Paige?

"You didn't know?" The doctor then asked, looking around at all of us.

"Does this look like the face of someone that knows that his girlfriend is pregnant?!" Ross then exclaimed back to the doctor.

"Look, sir, she's 6 months pregnant and we need to know if we can try to save the baby… just so you know the baby has more of a chance of survival than your girlfriend. Regardless of her being pregnant, she might not even make it through the night, even if we did the operation that she needs, her survival rate is still really low." The doctor then informed all of us and I sighed. "Even if she wasn't pregnant it's still a risky operation… I'll leave you all to talk about it" He then added, walking away.

"Look Ross, by the sounds of it, the baby is coming and Paige might not make it through the night, and we know that you love her and you were supposed to get married to her and all that, but the thing is, she would want you to save the baby over her, regardless of the fact that you didn't know she was pregnant… I think she was just too scared to tell you that she was pregnant… scared to see your reaction. I mean being a dad at 18 while touring the world may not seem like the best thing for a baby, and do you even want a child? Can you really blame her for not really wanting to tell you?" Ellington asked him and Ross just gave him a glare. What is that all in aid of?

"You know, Maia and Rocky weren't the only reasons why Paige is on her death bed…" Ross then trailed off and looked at me slightly. "But you know, that's another story for another day, right?" HE then asked, looking between Rocky and Ellington. "I mean, it's wrong to keep things hidden from someone, and I realise that now and that was a mistake on my behalf. I wish I could turn back the clock and well, stopped myself from being so stupid and hid something from her like I did. Sure she didn't tell me she was pregnant, but it makes sense now. I understand why she hid it from me; she didn't know how I was going to react. But at the same time I would have liked to know by now at least. Keeping a baby secret from your other half isn't as huge as something's is it, Rocky… Ellington." He then added, leaving pretty much everyone confused.

"Okay, you acting weird aside, Ross, what are you going to do?" Ryland asked him and Ross sighed.

"I don't know, what do you think I should do?" Ross then asked, mood changing in like a second.

"Ross… you heard the doctor, the baby has more of a survival rate than Paige, I honestly think you're better off choosing to save the baby more than Paige. Maybe they can do both, but it's up to you to decide which one happens first… Which I personally think, it's best for them to try and save the baby before continuing to save Paige." James then said and Ross looked at him hurt.

"It's easy for you to say that, you barely knew her!" Ross cried and James just sighed.

"Ross, it's what we're all thinking…" Ryland trailed off. "You're best off trying to save the baby first than Paige, otherwise you could lose them both." He then added.

"Well the baby is coming." The doctor said, making an appearance. "What are you going to do? I mean we could try and save her once the baby is out it's not impossible… but her chance of survival is still going to be low." He then added, looking at Ross.

"Do your best to save both of them, but do the baby first." Ross simply said with no emotion in his voice. Man this must be killing him.

"We will try… just prepare yourself for the worse." The Doctor replied before walking away.

"Ross are you sure about this? If the baby does survive, do you even want to be a father?" Riker asked and Ross shrugged his shoulders in response.

"Well, if it does survive I'll have no choice. Even if this didn't happen, I still would have had no choice anyway. Sure, adoption is an option, so was abortion. But if Paige didn't want the baby then she could of aborted it and not told me she was even pregnant, which she kind of did anyway just without the abortion, and well adoption, well who knows who would adopt it. It could be a bunch of strange people who want Ross Lynch's 'unwanted' child. God knows where it could end up." Ross explained.

"Ross for god sake, stop calling your baby 'it'. It's driving me insane you talking about your baby which you created because you were too stupid not to wear protection! Sure you didn't know Paige was pregnant, but for crying out loud she was six months pregnant, it would have been just growing inside of her. It's practically human, Ross." Laura basically yelled at him.

"I'm sorry and you're right, I shouldn't call the baby 'it' but I didn't know about i—his or her's existence until 5 minutes ago, literary. This is new information too me too you know!" Ross exclaimed and Laura looked down. "Wait… did you know?" He then asked.

"I um… figured it out when she fainted last night…" Laura then trailed off, looking sheepish.

"So that's why she fainted." James said and we all turned to look at him. "You know, I'll just leave now." He then added, motioning towards the direction to the exit. "Good luck, I hope everything turns out all right." He said as he started walking down the corridor and out of sight.

"Who else knew?" Ross then asked, and Riker raised his hand slowly and so did me and Ratliff… wait Riker knew? Laura must have told him then.

"Good to know I wasn't the only one that didn't know." Ross muttered, before sighing.

"Ross, I only knew because Laura told me." Riker then said, causing Ross to nod.

"Um… we knew from the start." I said, motioning between me and Ratliff and Ross raised his eyebrow.

"What do you mean you knew from the start?" He then asked, looking between both of us, but looking at Ratliff more. Weird.

Ratliff's POV-

"What do you mean you knew from the start?" Ross said and then I swear I felt my heart sink to my stomach, or lower if I'm honest. He looked between me and Rydel, mainly looking at me and right then and there I knew he was going to do something.

"Well we were there for her when she did her pregnancy tests and well now here we are…" I trailed off, looking at him cautiously.

"She said she was going to tell you in her own time, but obviously the right moment never came… it was him that pushed her to tell him, I was only there with her when it was confirmed she was pregnant." Rydel said, and I mentally face palmed. Great, if he's going to do what I think he was going to do, he has more of a reason to do that now. I looked at him again after looking at her and he had this look in his eye and a smirk on his face… oh no.

"Ross… don't do it." I simply said and his smirk widened. Immediately, Rocky caught on and his eyes widened.

"You know… Ellington here..." He said, before walking over to me and putting his arm around my shoulder. I just looked at him nervously, and well he looked at Rydel. "Ellington is good at keeping secrets. Not only has he been hiding the fact that my fiancé was pregnant, he's been hiding something pretty huge now, hasn't he Rocky." He said, looking over to Rocky at that last part.

"What do you mean?" Rydel asked, confused, looking at all three of us. I just had to close my eyes when she looked at me, not being able to look at her anymore.

"Ross…" Rocky trailed off, almost threating-ly.

"Ellington here was also part of the cause for Paige's death. Do you all want to know why he was also part of the cause of her death?" He then asked, walking over to Rocky. Man this sounds like some soap opera. When did our lives become one of them?

"Why are you acting weird?" Riker asked, looking at him.

"I'm just saying something that could be useful to you, and well what Rydel deserves to know, because it's been hidden for so long now, I can't bare the pain, the secrets anymore. There's been enough of them in the past year. Well nearly all of them have been exposed… except one of course." Ross replied, looking between me and Rocky. "Do any of you two want to do the honours?" He asked and we both stayed silent. "Thought not." He laughed, before continuing. "See Rocky here, he has or had, whichever it is now, a crush on Ellington, but Ellington was dating Rydel, am I or am I not correct?" He asked, shrugging my shoulders.

"Um yeah… where are you going with this?" Rydel asked and Ross looked at her with sympathy in his eyes.

"I'm truly sorry for what's about to happen next. I wanted to tell you beforehand, but I decided it should have been Ellington or Rocky or heck, even both of them together to tell you this, but it's obvious they haven't yet, so I'll tell you for them" Ross answered. "Now where was I… oh yeah, there. When Rydel asked Ellington out, you could tell how much she loved him from the gesture she did. Asking him out in front of her family and doing a great romantic gesture as well. Anyone would of thought she would have been proposing to him. But no, she was only asking him out." Ross said and Rydel smiled at the memory. I did too slightly. "But news flash Delly, you should have done it without the rest of us there. Want to know why? Of course you do… he didn't like you like that. Or love you for that matter, he only said yes because we were all there." He then added and Rydel looked at me, nearly crying. As for Riker... I daren't look

"Is that true?" She yelled at me, and I simply nodded.

"But that doesn't mean things don't change…" I trailed off, mentally hitting my head on the wall… I would just do that right now…

"Um… wait. There's more. It gets better than that. So, now take us to when we got to Mexico, Rocky and Ellington were sharing a room, well supposed to. That night, Rocky left your hotel room with a strop and went to Riker and Laura's room, did he not?" He asked, looking at Riker and Laura and they both nodded. "Can someone say jealous? ANYWAY back to where it really gets juicy. The day after… I came out to the world about my relationship with Paige, and well she came the following day, that was the best surprise ever. She was probably pregnant by then as well. But that night… something clearly happened between the two, don't think I didn't noticed the awkwardness, my thought's it was just a kiss, I didn't know why at the time so like most people would of, I let it go. But that was my mistake because when we were in Australia, that first night, Rocky met Maia when he went out to get some air. Odd behaviour, but still then I didn't know why. That following day, Rocky was out with Maia, and was late to all the VIP stuff we had to do, and that's when you all met Maia." He said, before getting cut off.

"Ross is there a point to this, other than my BOYFRIEND not really loving me?" Rydel asked, glaring at me in the process. Yep, I'm doomed.

"Oh Rydel, there is. So that night, I heard them both argue about Maia and then Ell stomped out the room." Ross then said.

"That was the same night we found out Paige was pregnant." Rydel cut off once again.

"Yes, and the following day Rocky and Calum swapped rooms, and no one knew why, well I did that evening. See I walked into Rocky and Ryland's room and I caught them both making out, a very heated make out session might I add, on the couch. Oh, and the reason why Rocky and Calum swapped rooms? That was because Rocky and Ratliff slept together." Ross concluded. By this point Rydel was crying, Rocky was just sat there emotionless and the last thing I saw was Ross walking towards the exit himself before the whole world went black.

I could do with stopping with the cliffhangers... but what's the fun in that ;) There's probably gonna be like 7 chapters (max) left of this story... depending how long or short the chapters are...
