Chapter 26:

-Couple of hours later, at the hospital-

Riker's POV-

"Why haven't we heard anything, it's been like 3 hours since the baby bombshell and the fact that she could die. We've not even heard anything about the baby yet! Why is this so frustrating?! I just want to know." Ross exclaimed, pacing up and down the room. I can understand why he is like this, I mean; I would if it was Laura not Paige.

"Ross calm down. Just because we've not heard anything doesn't mean its bad news, okay?" Laura replied but Ross just sighed.

"How do you know that? It could be bad news, like one of them is dead, or really bad news, both of them are dead." Ross then said and we all groaned.

"Ross, you're being paranoid, and you're just expecting the worse. Just calm down!" Rocky basically yelled at him and Ross just simply sat down.

"It's easy for you to say, you're never going to have to go through this are you? You're never going to be able to have a child if you and Ellington are together…. And please shut your phone up." Ross then explained and Rocky sighed.

"No, I know that. But he could have a similar accident to Paige. Sure, there won't be a baby growing inside of him, admittedly, but I would be as worried as you are. It could have happened to anyone of us. It was just unfortunate that it happened to Paige. She was just at the wrong place at the wrong time." Rocky then explained back to him. "And I'm trying." He then added.

"Except, she wasn't at the wrong place at the wrong time… it was set up on purpose because Maia did it. She's obviously been stalking us all over the world, waiting for her moment to strike and she's done it. But, she's obviously had help… the question is… who?" Ross then asked and everyone shrugged her shoulders.

"O-oh." Ellington said and we all looked confused at him. "Yeah, check twitter… I think it's come out to the world that Rocky and I are together." He then explained.

"WHAT!?" Rocky yelled and looked at Ellington's phone.

"Yeah, listen to some of these…"

Woah. One minute RatliffR5 is with Rydel, and the next he's with Rocky… it's one thing to be gay, but it's another to CHEAT on your girlfriend with him. rockyR5

I for one think it's cute that rockyR5 & RatliffR5 are together. I mean they can be open with us with their sexuality for one and they're adorable together.

Guys, they ( rockyR5 RatliffR5) might be gay, but it's not like they're related and together. So in a way, there's nothing wrong. Love is love, we should respect people's…. preferences in people and move on.

"Well, I suppose that's true…" Rocky trailed off.

"Just ignore the hate; they'll get over it at some point. Time's like this you can tell who the real fans are." Ross explained to them both as the doctor came back.

Ross' POV-

"I bring news for you all. Which one would you like to hear first, the baby or the mother?" The doctor asked.

"Um, the baby first…" I trailed off, shrugging my shoulders slightly.

"Okay, well despite the baby being 3 months premature, she has a healthy heart beat, but her body has not been fully developed yet, so she's going to have to remain in an incubator until it is safe for her. See, this also prevents her from…" The doctor trailed off.

"Wait, the baby's a girl?" I asked and the doctor nodded.

"Yes it is, Mr Lynch. You have a baby daughter." The doctor confirmed.

"Anyway, continue explaining." Ross replied

"Anyway, as I was saying, the incubator also prevents her from any infection as the immune system has not been developed yet. So, therefore, she will have to stay in there until further notice." The doctor said and I nodded.

"And my fiancé?" I asked.

"We think if she makes it through these next 24-48 hours, we reckon she's going to survive. We managed to fix the broken rib, and just luckily, it didn't puncture her lung, like we originally thought it had. It had scraped it but not punctured it. We managed to find the source of the internal bleeding as well and managed to stop it… however, we don't know the side effects to that… it's hard to tell, so if she wakes up we'll be able to know more." He then explained.

"Alright, can I see her?" I asked him and he sighed.

"Miss Thompson is on life support, it won't be a pretty sight. Besides, you have to decide a name for your daughter. It's not something that needs to be done immediately, but it'll be better if it's done sooner rather than later." He then added, sighing. "But you can see Miss Thompson for only a limited amount of time, I'm not really supposed to do this because it's out of visiting hours, but I can let it slide just for a few minutes, and then I recommend you get some rest, it's been an eventful day." He suggested and I nodded.

"Just let me see her. Last time we spoke, we had an argument… and I feel terrible. So please, take me so see her." I told him and he nodded.

"Right this way then. But only you." He told me and I looked back at the others.

"Go see her. Don't think about us… she's your fiancée. We'll think of names for you though while we wait." Riker said and I turned back around and followed the doctor to her room.

"5 minutes… 10 maximum. Okay?" The doctor checked and I just nodded.

"Okay…" I trailed off before walking into the room. The doctor was right; it wasn't a very pretty sight. She had an IV drip attached to her alongside several wires, one of which lead to her life support machine, and finally a ventilator, to help her breathe. Slowly, I walked towards the chair next to the bed and hold her hand carefully. "Hey… I'm not sure if you can hear me, but I'm going to say this anyway…
I'm so so so so so sorry for our argument. I should have been honest with you from the start, and I understand that now. I also understand why you reacted how you did. I mean, I can only blame the pregnancy hormones for that. I understand that you would have been angry anyway, but the pregnancy made it worse.
Speaking of that, we have a baby girl, but I have no idea what to name her. I mean having a child young was never on my bucket list. But I'm a father at 18, and I know you're going to make it; you're a fighter, so you're a mother at 17… almost 18.
Please, come back Paige. I need you, you're the only one I want to spend my future with, and I could never love someone as much as I love you. You're the mother of my first child, it wouldn't feel right if I met someone else. Like I said, I need you so much; our daughter needs her mom in her life. Please fight hard and come back. Please Paige…" I explained to her and kissed her cheek softly. I felt a slight squeeze in my hand but she wasn't awake… it's like she heard me. I smiled slightly and looked at her. "I love you." I then added, speaking softly as I got up and left the room.

Not the longest chapter, but I felt like it was a nice place to end that. :)
