Demon's Lock
The sisters, Cole, and Leo stared at Billie for a second, silently.
-When I… died. –She hesitated before saying the word. –I was dragged around a lot of places; in some of them I saw images of an object, something like a wooden box, with a red stone on it. They were drawn in cave's walls. And I think we can use that as our weapon.
-What does that have to do with The Source? –Prue asked.
-I don't know, but when he controlled us, he showed me and Christy a spell to absorb the powers from demons, and whitelighters, etc. And I saw an image of that object in the same spell book, he seemed to dislike it, but that's all I can remember, sorry.
-It's ok, Billie. Thank you. –Phoebe said.
-No, thank you for bringing me back. –Billie replied sitting down.
-Are you sure that's what you saw? –Cole asked raising a brow.
-Pretty much. –Billie answered. –And, oh! I remembered something else, there was something written under one of the draws: Zámek démona. –She said trying to pronounce the words properly.
-What does it mean? –Piper asked.
-Literally, "lock demon". –Leo said.
-But, in reality, it was supposed to be "Demon's lock". –Cole completed.
-What is that, and, most important, how do you know about that, Leo? –Piper asked.
-It's a legend told among whitelighters about a weapon created millennia ago. It was made from the wood of a tree in the Underworld and studded with a gem from the Heavens. –He answered.
-No one knows who made it, but the legend says that the Elders stole it. However, they destroyed the box when they couldn't use it because their soul was too pure. –Cole added.
-Well, the version I know says that demons stole it, but they couldn't use it because they didn't have a soul. –Leo replied.
-Wait a second, why would any of them destroy it? –Phoebe asked.
-And what does that weapon do? –Paige asked.
-They destroyed it because none of them wanted it to be used by humans. –Cole said.
-And, technically, it could be used to send anyone, or anything, to a special dimension, something like a limbo between realms, but it could never ever be opened again. It would be the perfect prison. –Leo said. –But anyway, it's just a legend. We have no proof of its existence.
-Nor do we have any idea of where it is. –Cole said.
-Then it's useless! –Piper exclaimed.
-No, that can't be! –Prue said. –Jake told me that… -She covered her mouth.
-Prue? What happened? –Phoebe asked.
-Jake told me that Billie would bring us the answer. He remembered that from when he studied everything about our time. –Prue lied and Cole raised a brow.
-Really? He remembered that but didn't think of mentioning it earlier? –Cole questioned.
-He held on to that information until the last minute…
-What are you talking about? –The demons asked.
-He was forced to go back to the future; he said he only had a limited time to stay here. –At least she could tell them part of the truth.
-So, you're saying he's gone? –Phoebe asked. –And he's not coming back? –Prue nodded. –Oh. –Phoebe lost her balance and leaned on Piper.
-Are you ok? –Piper asked.
Suddenly, Phoebe put her hand over her belly and gasped.
-I think my water just broke! –She exclaimed.
Everyone knew what to do; they had gone through that a few times already.
Piper held Phoebe and took her to the door.
-I'm taking her to the hospital, who's coming with me? –Piper asked.
-Me! –Cole and Billie said at the same time.
-No, I need your help. –Prue said to Billie.
Cole followed Piper downstairs as they headed to the car.
-I'll go get Coop. –Paige said. –Leo, I need you to come with me to take care of the kids. –And they left.
-What are we gonna do? –Billie asked Prue.
-A spell. We can't let The Source even think about going after that baby. –Prue said remembering what Jake had told her.
-You're right, but where are we gonna find something so strong?
-The Book of Shadows. It has been adding some pages on its own for some time now; I think it has been preparing for this moment, just like us.
-But do you know if it has the kind of spell we're looking for?
-Yes, I saw it the other day, but it takes two to chant it. –Prue answered.

Piper drove fast, evading from other cars and pedestrians. They got in the hospital at the same time as Paige, and soon a doctor and a nurse took Phoebe and Coop to another room, leaving Piper, Paige and Cole waiting.
1 hour.
They walked around, nervously.
-I don't get why someone would want to go through the pain of having a baby. –Cole said bored.
-Of course not, you're a demon! –Piper whispered harshly.
-Hey! Stop that. I think I've proved myself enough times to finally gain your trust and respect. –He responded.
Piper looked down and stopped talking.
2 hours.
They hear Phoebe scream with the contractions.
-Because we want a family, and we want love. –Piper said suddenly.
-What? –Paige and Cole asked.
-Why someone would want to have a baby. –She said.
3 hours.
It started to rain heavily; the sound of thunders covered the place.
4 hours.
Prue and Billie had everything they needed for the spell, but, before they left, someone called Prue.
-Prudence Halliwell. –She turned around and saw a tall, blond woman standing in the attic.
-Who are you?
-My name is Nicole Weston, but I believe you only know of me as Jake's boss. I came here to tell you that he… -She sighed and took a deep breath. –That he didn't make it to his own time. He was caught and punished to death for changing the past.
-What? That can't be. –Prue said.
-I'm sorry to be the one to tell you that. If you excuse me, I have other things to deal with…
-Wait! Before you go, just tell me something. Why did he give us the spell to bring Billie back? Not that I'm not glad, but we could just have conjured her spirit.
Nicole smiled.
-Didn't he tell you? It wasn't about the girl, but about the spell. One of your biggest challenges is yet to come. –She said and disappeared.
-Hurry! –Billie shouted downstairs and Prue followed her.
5 hours.
Piper and Paige saw a white glow around the hospital, and then Prue and Billie arrived.
-What was that? –Paige asked.
-We were just protecting Phoebe and our niece. –Prue said.
They were interrupted when Coop came into the room and called them:
-She's here, Paith. –He said, his eyes glowing with joy.
They all entered in the room and found Phoebe holding a baby.
-Oh, she's beautiful! –Paige exclaimed.
-Yes, she is. –Piper and Cole agreed.
Prue smiled, but her mind was somewhere else, she was brought back when Phoebe started to cry.
-Hey, what happened? –She asked. –What's wrong, Phoebe?
-It's just that… -Phoebe cleaned the tears. –I can't hold her right now.
-Why not? –Piper sounded worried.
-There's a war coming, and I have to fight in it, I can't just leave you, and if I hold her, I'll want to.
-Phoebe, you fought against hundreds of demons and threats while you were nine months pregnant! –Paige said. –You have done enough, and so has Prue.
-No way! –They both said at the same time.
-I'm sorry, girls, but even if we let you fight, you're not in shape for it; I'm surprised that you managed to survive like that. –Cole said.
-I can't believe you're saying this! –Phoebe said. –You know that you need me.
-Why? We don't even know what to do, and The Source may attack at any moment, he's just waiting until he has an army big enough. –Cole replied angrily.
-We know what to do; we'll find the Demon's Lock!
-Where? Do you have a map or something?
-No, but I have a plan, and that's enough! –Phoebe said. –Also, I must be the one to use it. The Elders couldn't because their soul was too pure, and demons couldn't because they didn't have a soul; I have a soul and it is the most corrupted here.
-What are you talking about? I was working for the Triad. –Paige said.
-Yeah, and I've done some terrible things too. –Piper said.
-Guys, I've been evil more times than you can count, my past life was evil, I have been the queen of the underworld hell, I've carried the Source as my own child, and, hell, I'm even binded to a demon and –Phoebe exclaimed.
Suddenly, the thought hit Prue, the spell they used was to make one of them the perfect user for the weapon!
-She's right. –Prue said to everyone's surprise. –It's our only shot, and I trust her.
-Fine. –Piper said and Paige nodded, agreeing.
-Ok, if everyone is ok with this suicide idea, what is your plan, then? –Cole asked.
-The name of the box, Zámek démona, what language is that? –Phoebe asked.
-Czech.-Cole answered.
-Ok, now we've got a starting place. Also, Billie said she saw the drawings in caves, right? So we need to find that cave.
-And that's gonna be very easy, right? –Cole asked sarcastically.
-I can use my empathy to connect myself with Billie and find the right place, we just need an idea of where it is. Piper, do you think you can ask Leo to search that for us?
-Yes.
-Right. –Phoebe said. –I'll go with Billie and Cole and the rest of you will go to Magic School, The Source will come after us, but we'll have the element of surprise.
-I don't think so. –Prue said. –He's absorbed the powers of seers, so he's probably seen what's waiting for him.
-How do you know that? –Cole asked.
-That's not important. –Billie said. –But she's right. The spell we put here stopped him from seeing our plans, but as soon as we leave here, we're defenseless against his sight.
-That won't be a problem; he'll be too focused on the war that's coming. –Paige said. –But try to act normal.
-We can try to cloak Magic School too. –Billie said.
-Ok, let's do that. –Phoebe agreed.
-But what about your body? You can't fight like that. –Cole said.
-I have something planned. –She whispered something and her body shifted, like she had never been pregnant.
-I can't believe you created a spell for that! You can't do that. –Cole said.
-I already have. Now let's go. –Phoebe answered and then turned to Paith; she kissed her forehead and then looked at her husband. –Coop, stay here and take care of her. If anything happens, please know that I…
-Don't even dare to say that. –He interrupted her.
-That I love you. –She finished and orbed away with the others.

Prue, Piper and Paige went to the manor. As soon as they got there, Andy and Leo rushed to the door.
-Andy! –Prue exclaimed.
-What happened? I have to leave town for a few days and all hell breaks loose? Why didn't you tell me?
-I didn't want you to worry about me. But I'm glad you're here. –She hugged him.
At the same time, Piper asked Leo to research the caves for Phoebe and he left.
-Guys, I'm taking the kids to the hospital with Paige, ok? –Piper said and orbed away with them.
-Prue. –Andy continued. –You can't do that. What about our daughter?
-Andy, we've been through much, and now, more than ever, I need you to trust me. I love you and I promise you that I'll come back to you.
-I, I love you too. –He said kissing her.

Somewhere, in Czech Republic, Phoebe, Cole and Billie were looking for the cave.
-I just got Leo's text. –Phoebe said. –We're close to the place.
She held Billie's hand and felt her emotions.
-You weren't dead for long, so your emotions were still pretty active when your spirit was here. –Phoebe explained. –I think I can take us there.
Soon, they found the cave, and it had all the drawings Billie said, but nothing else.
-Is this the place? There's nothing here! –Cole said.
-It's not here, it's under us. –Phoebe said. –Cole, can you take us there? –She asked and he flamed them.
They reached a hidden cave, much bigger than the one above; its appearance shifted from a normal cave to one with red walls and a river of lava and to one with blue walls and a thick fog.
-Where is the best place to hide an object if you don't want anyone to find it? –Cole asked.
-A place that exists and doesn't exist at the same time. –Phoebe answered cleverly.
-What are you saying? –Billie asked.
-Just like the box does, this place was created to be some kind of limbo between Earth, the Heavens and the Underworld. –Phoebe explained. –We just need to find a way to get the box without being trapped.
-That's why no one has ever done it, it's impossible because you need to be at the three places at the same time. –Cole said.
-We're lucky that there are three of us here. –Phoebe said.

In the manor, Piper and Leo were arguing.
-No! –Piper shouted.
-You're not saying good bye to me. I'm going with. –Leo insisted.
-But you're only human! You can't fight!
-I've been a soldier, a whitelighter for years and I still know how to fight, Piper. And besides, I've got that. –He grabbed a sword that was hidden under the couch.
-What's that?
-Excalibur. I'm sorry but I asked Wyatt to grab it for me.
-You can't use it. You're not its owner.
-Wyatt gave it to me, so I can use it. With the sword I'll be able to fight there, with you. –He said.
-Ok, but anything, and I mean anything, happens to you, I'll go after you and you'll regret ever putting yourself in danger. –She tried to sound angry.
-Fine. –He said smiling. –We're together in this.
After that, Andy went to the hospital, and Piper, Prue, Paige and Leo left to Magic School.

When they got there, they heard the noises of the battle coming from the first floors; the noise if fire, metal against metal and of magical creatures being vanquished.
-Where's Henry? –Paige asked looking around.
-He's in the front, battling with the others. –A whitelighter answered.
-You've got to be kidding me. –Paige said. –I've got to go after him. –She looked at her sisters. –I'm sorry. –And ran away.
-I guess it's just us, then. –Prue said.
-Yeah, two witches and a mortal against The Source, easy. –Piper said sarcastically.
Paige ran through magical creatures on her way, leprechauns, dwarves, nymphs, fairies, angels, elves, ogres and giant trolls, all fighting or preparing to fight together.
-Henry! –Paige shouted and orbed a fireball away right before it hit him.
-Paige! Thanks. –He said in relief. He was holding a golden sword.
-What were you thinking? I thought you were going to be upstairs with me.
-Paige, I can't leave them here, demons are already coming and I am their leader!
Paige sighed.
-Fine, but I'm staying here with you.
They fought side by side, against demons, warlocks and vampires. They worked as a team, protecting each other in perfect synchrony.
-Did you leave the note to the children? –Paige asked dodging an attack.
-Yeah. –Henry answered vanquishing a darklighter. -But they're not gonna need to read it.
-Better safe than sorry.
-I don't like the way you say that so easily. –He said hitting a demon.
-Where did you get those weapons, anyway? –Paige asked crushing a demon and orbing away another.
-It's not the first time whitelighters have to take refuge on Earth; the swords and shields were already here, hidden.
They kept fighting, with the other magical creatures by their side.

In the cave, Phoebe, Cole and Billie tried to solve their problem.
-How are we gonna get it? –Billie asked.
-We need to go at the same time, each one of us will be in a different version of the cave and we must get it at the same time too. –Phoebe said.
-Ok. –They agreed.
-I'll go first, then Phoebe will count to 3 and go and then you. –Cole said. –Ok? When we're all inside, we'll have 20 seconds to get there and grab it.
-Why 20 seconds?
-Because we can't lose more time. –He said and went.
They all ran inside and, as planned, grabbed the box and left. When they stepped outside, the three boxes converged in one, in Phoebe's hand.
-Wow, it was so… easy! –Billie said.
-Yeah, too easy. –Phoebe agreed, and, right after, one of the walls of the cave opened and something huge got out. –What was that? –She shouted.
-Damn! –Cole cursed. –A dragon, a huge one.

Back in Magic School, the fight had already spread through the whole place. Piper blew up demons, while Prue sent them away and Leo attacked others. Piper waved her hand and melted some warlocks at the same time. Prue waved he hands and sent a group of demons, along with several furnishings, against a wall, blowing it up.
-Where is The Source? –Prue shouted.
-Maybe he's just a coward hiding behind those demons. –Leo said.
-No, he'd want to kill us himself, he must be arriving. –Piper guessed.
And just as she said that, he appeared. He raised his hands and everyone, except from Leo, Piper and Prue, was vanquished. He snapped his fingers and the sisters were held against a wall by an invisible force.
-Speaking of the devil. –Piper said. –Leo, run!
-You shouldn't act like that, witch. –He said grabbing Leo by his neck. –Not when I can kill him so easily.
Suddenly, Leo raised his hand and Excalibur flew to him; he used it to attack The Source and get free. The demon got ready to grab him, but Piper distracted him.
-Hey! Remember when I vanquished you just by blowing you up a few times? Quite a mediocre death, don't you think? –She screamed as Leo ran away, he knew that he'd only be a distraction right now and there were people needing his help.
-That's not very smart. –He said and grabbed Prue. –Now you will pay. –He closed his hand a crushed Prue's neck.
-Prue! –Piper shouted, but she just vanished in the air, it was an astral projection. Piper smiled, in relief. –You demons seem to always fall for that. –Piper said and waved her hand, attacking The Source.
She kept the fight for as long as she could, but when he was about to kill her, Phoebe, Cole, Billie and Prue arrived; they all had scratches all around their bodies and were bleeding in some places too.
-Look who we found. –Phoebe said.
-You! –The Source exclaimed realizing she was no longer pregnant. –Your baby!
-She's safe, but I can't say the same for you! –She raised her hand and sent an empathic ball at him, which he evaded.
He grabbed Billie, before anyone could do something, and absorbed her powers.
-Let's see what I can do now! –He waved his hand and sent the sisters and Billie against a wall. Billie slipped and fell into a hole on the floor; she tried to hold on the edges, but she couldn't, and fell.
-Billie! –The sister screamed.
-No! Not again! –Phoebe said.
The Source smiled and attacked again. They kept fighting for what felt like hours, until he got the sisters trapped and Cole almost unconscious.
-Now, the moment I've been waiting for. –The Source said. He created a fireball and aimed it at Phoebe, then, he threw it, but Cole jumped in front, being hit instead of Phoebe.
-Cole! –Phoebe shouted. –Not you too. –She ran to him.
-Phoebe. –He gasped. –I'm sorry. –He said.
-Sorry for what?
-For not being a better person.. –He said.
-Cole…
-You tried everything you could and now I thank you. Good bye. –He was almost dead.
-No. NO! –Phoebe was angry. –Now, Piper! –She shouted and her sister froze The Source, who was distracted, for a second. Phoebe grabbed the box and opened it.
The Source screamed as the box shone and filled the room with a red light. Phoebe shone as well and threw a beam at The Source; a sphere of light covered him and he started to fade away, but not before grabbing Cole's body and taking him away too.
The sphere disappeared, but Phoebe kept shining for some seconds, until the box disappeared too.
-He took Cole's body. He couldn't even let him rest in peace here.
-It was his final revenge. –Piper said whipping the tears.
-Guys! –Paige arrived, running. –The demons fled away; did you do it, then?
-Yes. –Piper said. –But Billie and Cole didn't make it.
-Oh, no.
-Girls… -They were called by Prue; her belly was red at the place where a piece of the wall had hit her.
-Oh lord. Paige, heal her! –Piper said.
-Let's take her home. –Phoebe added. –She'll be safer there.
They orbed away and Paige healed Prue, but as soon as she did so, Prue's contractions started.
-Oh my god! I think, I think I'm gonna have the baby now! –Prue said.
-But you're only seven months pregnant! –Piper said.
-Let's take her to the hospital! –Paige said and they rushed through the manor's door, closing it when the last one passed through it.
