Well, here it is. This is the FINAL chapter for funny feelings. I was debating to not update for a while because of the lack of reviews. So I have left some unanswered questions in this. I'm keeping the poll up until the end of the month (31st January). It's up to you all to decide what happens next. :)
WARNING: Contains the mention of depression and cutting.

Chapter 29:
Ross' POV-
"Ross?!" I heard Riker shout after me as I ran past both him and Rocky. But I didn't stop. I had one thing in mind, going to find that doctor, and hope everything's okay. That Paige isn't really dead. That they made a mistake that it was the wrong person that they rang, or confirmed dead. "ROSS!" Riker now yelled and this time I did stop, wiping some tears as I turned to face him.
"What Riker? I'm sure you have a lot of questions for me, but not right now. Please?" I begged him as Brad turned up. Oh great, who's next; Rydel? Laura? James? But, instead, it was the doctor, so I ran too him. "Doctor, please say you made a mistake!" I exclaimed, as I started to cry again.
"Look, Mr Lynch, I am deeply sorry for the loss, but we didn't make a mistake. Your fiancé died… we believe it was someone tampering with her life support machine, as she wasn't ready to breathe on her own yet." The doctor explained to me.
"She can't be dead; you said she was making a great recovery…" I trailed off to the doctor as tears trickled down my face, one by one, to which the doctor just sighed at me.
"Believe me, she was and we thought she would survive, but I don't know what happened but something went wrong and she's gone. I'm sorry." The doctor said.
"Isn't there anything you can do?" I asked, pleading.
"No. We've tried all we can but there's nothing else we can do, as I've explained before. I'm really sorry for your loss, trust me, but there isn't anything else to try." The doctor answered. "Now, if you excuse me I've got other patients to attend too." He then added before walking away.
"Paige is dead?" Rocky asked, looking at me, to which I just nodded and cried more as Riker pulled me into a hug and I just cried into his chest.
"It wasn't supposed to be like this. Maybe if I had told her about Maia in the first place, maybe it could have been avoided. I caused her death. I didn't deserve her. I never did. Then I get her pregnant, because of the like 2 times I didn't use a damn condom. We've never even discussed our future, I mean sure I proposed to her, but we've never talked about starting a family together. Now I have a 3 month premature daughter, as well as a dead fiancé. I can't do this on my own. I need her." I explained, but it probably came out as mumbles.
"Ssshhh Ross… it's okay…" Riker said, but I could tell he wasn't sure.
"How is it? The love of my life is dead Riker!" I exclaimed before pulling out of his arms and looking at him. "I've got to see her. I didn't even get chance to say goodbye…" I trailed off.
"Look Ross, you'll get a chance to see her, just let the doctors and nurses do what they have to do first. I'm sure they'll let you say goodbye. But the real question is, what are you going to tell her parents? I mean, are you going to ring them and tell them that she's dead, oh and by the way she was pregnant as well?" Rocky said to me, and I sighed before my eyes widened.
"Oh shit. What am I going to tell her parents?! I'm sure her mom is going to kill me then her dad will resuscitate me to kill me again. I mean, first I got their daughter pregnant, then she got murdered? What am I going to do?" I asked, starting to panic.
"First, you've got to take deep breaths Ross. Help yourself calm down slightly. Second, the best you can do is explain to them that her murder wasn't your fault and what happened. They'll understand. I mean, they'll be upset, but they're understanding people." Riker explained to me and I just nodded.
"Okay, you're right. But now, I really want to say one final goodbye to her, I'm going to find the doctor. So if you'll excuse me..." I trailed off before walking in the direction the doctor went.
Ratliff's POV-
"What the hell do you want, Maia? Want to cause more damage because you're nothing but a jealous bitch?" I asked her before chuckling.
"Well, that girl stole my man. He still loves me, I know he does. He obviously felt sorry for her, that's why he dated her." Maia said, shrugging her shoulders, whilst playing with her nails.
"Actually—wait, what do you mean by 'dated her'?" Laura asked, raising her eyebrow causing Maia to roll her eyes.
"Well yeah. Past tense… I mean I did just kill her like 5 minutes ago. Who knew that a life support machine was literally your only way of breathing when you're unable to? Huh." She explained, shrugging once again. "I sure didn't, I was going to kill the baby too, but I don't know where it is. Well I didn't anyway." She then added, with a devious smirk.
"You've already done enough damage. Congratulations, you broke the guy who you supposedly love heart. You're sick in the head. You deserve to go to jail and have the key thrown away. Or maybe, the mental ward is more suitable for you…" I trailed off.
"You can't prove that I committed a crime. She should have been dead the moment she hit the ground, and that brat of hers. I bet it's not even Ross' you know." She replied. "And you know, I'm the master mind, don't you think I needed a little helper to get Paige out the room? I mean, I wasn't going to go to the hotel and plant that magazine there. I had help." She added.
"Oh yeah, like who in the right mind would help you?" I asked her, raising my eyebrow.
"Why should I give you the benefit of telling you? I'm just going to let you figure it out for yourself. But it's someone close to you guys that I will tell you. Well I was going to try and find the baby, but you know. This has been much more entertaining. Tell Ross I'll be expecting his call to ask me out anytime soon. You know he's just going to come back to me and we'll be the ones getting married come next year? Give or take a few months. Well, it was nice talking to you both; but things to do and people to see." She said before walking off.
"God I hate that girl." I told Laura and she just nodded in agreement.
"Should we check on… whatever Ross' daughter is going to end up being called?" Laura asked me, that's a no brainer with Maia being here.
"Well, you know what she just said, so it would be best to check on her." I said and she just agreed before walking into the room she was in. I let out a sigh of relief when we saw she was okay. Sure, she's not my daughter, but she's my best friend's, and I do care about her, and I'm relieved that she's okay….
It's a shame the same can't be said for Paige.
-3 months later-
Ross finally said what his daughter was called. Which was Amelia Rydel Lynch, he was going to name her after Paige, but it just didn't seem right for some reason. Amelia was making great progress, and she was let out the hospital within a month. Paige's parents didn't take it well when they found out the news about Paige's death, and pregnancy, but that was to be expected. So they took the next flight out too England to say goodbye. Everyone would have gone back to the US, but they couldn't transport Amelia safely, without the risk of her getting harmed in anyway. With her having breathing difficulties as it was, being in an enclosed space with compressed air wouldn't have been the wisest of decisions.
Ross didn't want to have Paige's funeral until Amelia was out of hospital. He claimed it wouldn't feel right, but really, he was terrified of Maia lurking around as well, adding more fuel to the fire. Laura and Ellington told Ross about their little encounter with Maia, and to be honest, it made Ross feel sick just at the thought that he used to go out with her. He wanted to go to the police, but with there not actually being any solid proof that Maia did, they couldn't back up their statement with evidence, which was a shame. Although, everyone was trying to work out who the person was that helped Maia, but they just couldn't think who, leaving Brad, who helped her in the clear… for now anyway
As for Ellington and Rocky, well they never actually got together in the end. Sure, they do love each other a lot, but it wasn't the right time to peruse a relationship after everything that happened, it was a mutual agreement. They also tried dating other people, but it felt like they were cheating on one and other, and they just couldn't do it. So they both decided when they're ready and when it's the right time, then will they try their luck at a relationship. Mind you, they do have the occasional kiss or date or 'sleepover'.
As for Rydel, well she eventually got over her rage towards Ellington and Rocky for doing what they did behind her back. She did grow to be happy for them two for finding each other and making each other happy. She could tell in her own way that Ellington wasn't truly happy with her, and Rocky is the one for him. Eventually, she did move on. She met a guy, called Luke, one day when she was walking along the beach. She literally, fell on to him and well they hit it off and they've been together for about a month, and she couldn't be happier, much to Raini's dismay. But she decided it was time to get over Rydel, it was nothing but a little crush anyway, well so she thinks. So she moved back to Texas to be back with her whole family. Well Calum moved back up to Canada the moment they got back from tour, but he did continue acting, and that was part of the reason why he moved back there in the first place, as well as the fact that there's no place like home.
Riker and Laura's relationship has hit a few bumps in the road, occasionally. Well that's only because Riker's been so worried about Ross, and with him being the OVER protective brother that he is, he couldn't help the way that he felt.
As for Ross… well. Let's just say his life couldn't get more downhill then it already was. He was preparing to leave everyone, and start a new life somewhere else. He did plan to go in the middle of the night, so that he wouldn't have the pain of saying even more goodbyes. He did plan to take Amelia with him, but he decided not to in the end. Unfortunately for him, he was caught.
"Riker, what are you doing up?" Ross asked, once he reached the bottom of the stairs, desperately trying to hide his bag and suitcase.
"Well, I'm just here, watching TV, because I couldn't sleep." Riker explained to him, getting up from where he was sat.
"Oh. How come?" Ross then asked the older blonde, still trying to hide away his bags.
"Well I had this awful feeling that something bad was going to happen tonight, and I couldn't shake it off. But it looks like I was right." Riker explained again, holding up the note that Ross had placed when everyone went upstairs.
"Look Riker…" Ross said, before getting cut off by Riker.
"No Ross! Just listen. You can't leave. You have a daughter that needs her father with her! You can't just leave when things get tough for you. Things have been tough for everyone recently, not just you. But you don't see everyone else going god knows where for god knows how long!" Riker exclaimed, trying to keep his voice down so he doesn't wake everyone else up.
"I know that, Riker, believe me. But I just can't handle it anymore! Fatherhood and my own life! I'm depressed Riker! I lost the love of my life to some psycho bitch. Would you like it if Laura was murdered by someone who you hate?" Ross asked, rubbing his arm slightly, causing his shirt arm to rise up slightly to reveal some scars, which didn't go unnoticed by Riker.
"What are they?" Riker suddenly asked and Ross' eyes widened as he tried to push his shirt arm down again. But, Riker wouldn't let him. Instead he just grabbed his arm carefully and rose up the shirt arm again, to reveal more scars. "Ross…. I had no idea…" Riker just trailed off, looking at the younger brother's arm with wide eyes.
"Guess I was just better at hiding it this time…" Ross just said as he pulled his arm out of Riker's grip. "Riker… please you've got to let me go. I know you don't want to, and deep, deep down I don't want to. But everywhere I look, everywhere I go I'm just reminded off her. I know Amelia is going to be safe here with you all. Way better than me taking her with me. Just let me go Riker… it's for the best." He then explained before hugging Riker one final time, as if his life depended on it. To which, of course, Riker hugged back. Both of them just stood hugging for 5 minutes, mainly because Riker didn't want to let go.
"Will you ever come back again?" Riker asked as they finally pulled away from the hug, letting a couple of tears slide down his cheeks.
"Maybe someday… I'll try too." Ross answered as he picked up his bags and made his way to the door and opening it. "Oh and Riker… I love you." Ross added, before stepping out the door.
"I love you too." Riker called as Ross was closing the door. Ross then walked to his car, putting all his luggage into the trunk before getting in and driving off into the distance.
And that was the last anyone saw or heard from Ross.
