"Oh, what's her name?" Asked Alec

"Aline. She's great, real catch." Said Jace smiling.

"Really? You should hear about Jon, he's great as well." Said Alec, trying to bring me back into the conversation.

"Really? You should bring him to dinner!" Said Jace.

"No!" I snapped and he looked at me weird.

"I mean, he can't." I said.

"Why?" He asked, confused.

"Because...Well do you want the pretty lie or the ugly truth?" I asked.

"both actually." He said.

"Pretty Lie; he has to work. Ugly truth; we've been through some rough times. I'm thinking of breaking up with him." I said but they were both indeed pretty lies.

"Oh, that sucks." Said Jace, giving me a frown.

"Yeah... But it's fine. I don't really mind." I said and smiled at him.

"So, I'll drive you back and then dinner?" Asked Alec and I nodded.

We all piled up in the car.

"So Jace, tell me about Aline!" I said, faking enthusiasm.

"Oh she's beautiful. Black hair and dark brown eyes, funny and eccentric. She's breath taking." Said Jace and I faked a smile while I felt my heart being knifed and tears threatening to spill.

After a while of listening to Alec and Jace talk, I said my goodbyes and walked into my apartment.

I took off my makeup and sighed.

He's found someone new. Stupid Aline with her stupid thick black hair and her stupid chocolate eyes. Her stupid jokes that Jace said that he loved and her stupid breath taking looks.

But, stupid me for not breaking up with Simon the moment a spark began between Jace and I. I had stopped talking to Simon, he got the idea and eventually stopped calling.

I took off my dress and lay on the bed.

I hate myself. I had hurt Jace, and now he's found someone new.

Tears spilled involuntarily and I locked myself in the bathroom.
Once I closed the door, I slid down and covered my face with my arms and sobbed.

After some minutes of sobbing and cooling down, I stayed in silence for about 20 seconds until I stood up and filled the tub with warm water.

I turned off the lights and lit some candles. I had gotten in and felt myself relax but that wasn't good enough. I needed something else to just let the emotions free.

I opened Jon's drawer and took out blades for his razor and stared at them. I held my breath and dragged it across my hips, a soft sigh escaping my lips as the sharp metal dug through my layers of skin.

It wasn't my first time cutting, I already has scars on my hips and wrists. After wiping the blade and hiding it, I wiped my hips and put a bandage over them.

Since I had already gotten clean, I walked out and looked at the time.

I curled my hair and sighed, I sprayed my perfume, got my phone and money and started to make my way to the door so I could wait for Alec downstairs.

"I'm here!" Texted Alec and I walked to his car.

"Hey! You look good." He said as I sat in the front chair

"Where's Jace?" I asked

"We're going to pick them up." He said.

"Them? Who's them?" I asked.

"Well... Aline flew in today to surprise him..." Said Alec.

"She's coming?" I asked.

"Yeah... Is that okay?" He asked.

"Yeah. That's great." I said and looked out the window. That's so great.
