You guys I'm so sorry for the long break, it's been so long. The reason for that break was because I was hospitalized for personal issues, and it took very long for me to recover and I wasn't really motivated to continue I've had so many ideas, you guys will love it, I swear. I'm back baby!
"Hey Jace." Said Alec as Jace got in the car.
"Hey. Aline's just paying the hotel guy, he brought up all of her three bags by himself." Said Jace.
"Wow." I said and he chuckled.
"Here she comes!" Said Jace.
I looked out the window and mentally groaned.
This girl was beautiful. And she obviously knew it because no woman that has zero percent confidence in herself will wear a mini one shoulder cocktail dress that plunges down her breasts and fit her every curve.
Her dress, which was red, complimented her hair and skin tone. It made her look like a beautiful witch, her brown eyes looked super pretty with the golden eyeshadow she was wearing and the mascara that made her eyelashes look even longer. Her winged eyeliner was done to perfection and so was her red lipstick. Her face was perfectly contoured and highlighted in all the necessary places, making her look as if she has the highest cheekbones ever. Her heels were black pumps which made her legs look toned and long.
"Hello!" She said and flashed a smile.
"Hey! I'm Alec and this is Clary." Said Alec, smiling at her as she got in the car.
"I've heard so much things about you Clary." Said Aline.
"All good I hope." I joked and she smiled.
"Some of them." She said and Jace chuckled. I didn't find that the slightest bit funny.
"So, you're much prettier than I imagined you." I said.
"Really? Thanks. That must be because I'm a model." Said Aline.
"Oh really?" Said Alec.
"Yeah. I model for many runways." She said.
"Oh, like the mini national ones?" I said, adding a bit of a mean tone in my voice.
"I'm too pretty for that." She spat, earning looks from all of us, even Jace.
"I-I mean... That's what they said. The manager. He said I was too pretty for that... Yeah..." She said, slightly awkwardly. Jace and Alec shrugged it off but I didn't.
This bitch was fake.
"So what about you? Do you do any modeling Clarissa?" Asked Aline.
I winced at the name.
"No I don't." I said and Alec scoffed.
"What?" I asked him.
"You've gotten offers before Clary." Said Alec.
"Really? That's awesome." Said Jace.
"I know right? They're asking her to be a try on model for Victoria's Secret." Said Alec.
"Shut up Alec." I said.
"That awesome though. You should go for it." Said Jace.
"I don't want to talk about it." I said and then the conversation stopped.
I didn't want people to know about it because I didn't want to do it. People don't accept models with scars.
"I don't get why you get worked up about it Clarissa." Said Aline.
"Please refrain from calling me Clarissa." I said, my voice slightly trembling. It brought back memories from my father and Jace leaving me.
"I like the name though." She said.
"We're here!" Said Alec.
When we all got out of the car, we slowly walked in the restaurant and got seated by the waiter.
"What would you like to drink?" Asked the waiter.
"I'll have a beer." Said Jace.
"Beer? Really honey? Way too normal. I'll have a Appletini." Said Aline, without even looking at the waiter.
"I'll have some water, designated driver." Said Alec, smiling at the waiter.
"What about you miss?" Said the waiter.
"Hmmm, I'll have a beer as well, thanks." I said, smiling at him and he smiled back.
"I never found beer special." Said Aline.
"It's not meant to be special. It's a simple drink that does not have a lot of alcohol, it's refreshing." I said and she shot me a mean look.
"So Clarissa, how old were you again?" Said Aline, pronouncing my name slowly.
"I'm 21, and please call me Clary." I said.
"Oh, you're pretty young then. Still a child." Said Aline.
"On the contrary, I think Clary is pretty mature. She actually focuses on her studies and not on parties though now she hasn't really shown any interest in art like she used to." Said Alec.
"Really? Why? I remember you were amazing in art." Said Jace.
"You only think it was amazing because I painted you." I said jokingly and Jace smiled.
"It takes a real artist to paint this majestic human being." He said winking, making me laugh.
"Uh uhm." Said Aline, clearing her throat.
"Something bothering you sweetie?" Asked Jace, concerned.
"Clarissa, where's your boyfriend?" Said Aline.
"Please call me Clary." I said but did not answer the question.
"Yeah okay, but your boyfriend. Where is he?" She pushed.
"Aline." Said Jace.
"Babe, I'm just asking where her boyfriend is. Relax." Said Aline and repeated her question.
"Why do you want to know?" I asked.
"Since Jace's girlfriend is here, which is me, I thought you'd bring your boyfriend." She said, smirking slighty.
"He's busy." I said flatly.
"Oh really? What's he doing?" She asked.
"Aline enough." Snapped Jace and she stopped, closing her mouth to a tight line.
"I want the duck, do you guys want the duck? I'll have the duck, duck's always been my favourite you know? It's absolutely delicious here." Said Alec, desperately trying to change the topic.
"I'll have the duck too." I said, smiling at Alec.
"What about you Aline?" Asked Jace.
"Oh, I'll just have the salad with smoked salmon. You know how I feel about all of the carbs." She said.
"Right... I'll have the duck as well then." Said Jace.
"But baby, um.. carbs?" Said Aline
"Yeah? What about them? Your salad won't have carbs." Said Jace, slightly confused.
"I know but your meal will. Jace, carbs are going to ruin you." She said, flicking her hair to one side.
"But the duck is great here." Said Jace.
"Have a salad." She commanded, taking us all by surprise.
"Baby, I want the duck so-" Started Jace but was interrupted by Aline.
"You're going to have a salad and that's it." Said Aline, silencing us all.
The waiter came and asked for our orders, noticing the awkward atmosphere.
"What would you like for dinner?" He asked.
"The lady over here," Said Alec, gesturing me," and I would like the caramelized duck while the couple would both like the smoked salmon salad special."
"Is that all sir?" Asked the waiter.
"Oh, and I'd like a gin and tonic please." I said smiling.
"Coming right up." He said and smiled before he left.
"Flirting on the waiter?" Asked Aline.
"No, I'm just being nice." I said
"Why? He's our servant for the night, we don't have to be nice." Said Aline, causing Jace to glance at her and sigh.
"It's the opposite actually, he's not a servant and we should treat him with the same respect that we treat others. But you wouldn't know, you don't even treat your boyfriend with respect." I said.
"Excuse me?" She said, standing up.
"Let you boyfriend eat what he wants, you don't own him. Let him say what he wants, let him talk to his old friends like he used to." I said, standing up as well.
"Are you gonna let her talk to me like that?" She asked Jace and he hesitated before standing up.
"Apologize to her Clary." Said Jace.
"No, I'm not apologizing for defending you Jace. Stand up for yourself!" I said.
"We're leaving." Said Aline.
"But the dinner." Said Jace.
"Alec will pay. Let's go." Said Aline and started walking out.
"I'm sorry Alec, I'll pay you back." Said Jace and Alec nodded in understanding.
"And you," Said Jace, looking at me," I don't want you to talk to her like that, talk to me when you feel like apologizing." He said and walked away.
I just sat there in shock.
"He doesn't mean it Clary, he's just-" Started Alec but got interrupted as our food arrived, including the salads and my drink. We thanked the waiter.
I took my gin and tonic and drank it all, sighed as I finished it.
"Let's eat, yeah?" I said and we silently ate our duck, but we knew it wasn't the same without the handsome blonde guy sitting with us.
Soooo, that's it. I'll try to upload more, I'm sorry.
Hope you guys liked it! Stay tuned! Love you all
