A/N: It has been a while. Enjoy! And do stay lovely my readers!

"Humph," Talon muttered.

A soft sigh escaped the lips from the female relaxing on the couch as she stretched out and fingered through her notebook. Talon moved towards the window of their rented home at the Institute of War and glanced outside.

"Those reports weren't as useful as we first expected," Katarina spoke, her now pure white hair being flicked away from her face.

"Something doesn't add up, General Darkwill was the one who commanded Noxus during the Ionian war but-"Talon stopped mid-sentence, his eyes narrowing at the figure approaching their home from the window. "We have a guest this seems," Talon said. The figure wearing an attire similar to that of the assassin. Except the cloak was not decked out with blades at the end. A shame, but Talon knew only he could pull off that look.

Katarina perked up, sitting up from her couch her smile turning to a grin, "Ah, so the Prince did come through with his end of agreement," Katarina spoke.

Talon turned his attention to Katarina, "You made an agreement with Prince Jarvan IV?" Talon asked, "What was the agreement?" Talon looked rather annoyed he was not told of this 'agreement' beforehand.

Katarina was about to speak but a knock coming from the door stopped her as she swiftly moved towards to open and welcome the visitor. Katarina stepped out to the side, her nose wrinkling in slight disgust but quickly replaced with her trademark evil grin. "Welcome, Miss Quinn," Katarina greeted.

Talon for one didn't immediately go for his daggers but kept his arms crossed over his shoulder. This woman was something else, both of them actually. What really annoyed him to no end was why he was not included to know about this agreement and furthermore what was Katarina's deal?

"Could say it was easy to gather this much information, but then I would be lying," Quinn spoke, holding out a folder and a single potion bottle. "I have no idea what this liquid could do nor did I bother to find someone that would know, whatever the consequences of opening this though be it on your head, I simply picked it up because it was one of many that seemed to be of much importance during a talk between the Chemist and the General," Quinn spoke rapidly and without much pause or break for breath.

"Oh?" Katarina responded, she grabbed the papers and held the bottle up to eye level and gave it a small swirl. The liquid moved slowly in the bottle and appeared to be thick, and the clear color offered little for the light to reflect. "Your field report is also included in this folder?" Katarina asked.

Quinn nodded, "Yup, as well as a few pictures I gathered," Quinn added, her eyes buzzing around their home before landing on the assassin in the back, giving her a death glare. Quinn waved at Talon with a bright smile..

Talon turned his head, unbelieving his intimidating glare had no effect on the young recon soldier. Sighing softly he moved towards the two as he reached out to grab the bottle from Katarina, his hands held the bottle close and his eyes narrowed as he pulled out another bottle from within his cloak. It nearly matched the same bottle except the liquid Talon possessed was not as thick and reminded him more of water.

Katarina flung her dagger towards the door and with a thud and a grin grew on her lips. Though even this minor satisfaction couldn't stop the sigh that later escaped her lips as she pried the dagger from the wooden door. Softly running her fingers across the wooden door she counted each mark before heading up towards her room.

The passing month was driving this assassin near insanity, and with little to entertainment, her unfortunate wooden structures were the current targets for Katarina's frustration. Perhaps the only one gaining amusement from the assassin's boredom was her own sister, the Half Snake Half Woman enjoyed watching her sister's frustration. Honestly she was confused of how such person could not find something else aside from fighting to entertain themselves. Talon would be a prime example, the man was an evident example of never having a dull moment, frustrating and often annoying moments but never a dull one.

But perhaps the reason being that Talon is more assertive and applies himself more than my own sister Cass mused to herself, such as evident that Talon was now journeying towards Dragon's Country leaving a very angry female assassin behind. Cass remembered the conversation going as Talon simply wished to travel alone to make his journey be a quick one.

"I wonder how he's enjoying himself," Cass mused out loud as she slithered away from Katarina's frustration as another thud of a dagger impaling the poor furniture.

The air began to feel too heated and too heavy, it was almost suffocating to those breathing without masks but even provided with such luxuries Talon knew that living in this land was for only the strong. Reaching for the top of the boulder Talon heaved himself up and whipped his brow upon scanning the field before him. Perhaps heading into the Dragon's land was somewhat impulsive and without actual good reason but the small lead he found was all that he needed to prompt himself into heading into such dangerous lands.

The mountains themselves appeared intimidating, spiked and only dark clouds surrounded them, but the real danger lied of what was living inside of them. Talon respected Dragon's power and ferocity, all thanks due to Shyvana the Half Dragon, but what he truly feared was what could possibly be found with this investigation. Sighing through his thick red scarf Talon pushed onwards. He had a long walk ahead of him.

There were rumors and whispers of Noxus sending troops into these lands, these rumors were hardly believable since the only troop movement was aimed towards Noxus's borders. For what was there to be to conquer in the Dragon's land? Only death and poor soil to die on could be offered, but what made Talon journey here was that these rumors included Zaun's own scientists. These were foolish rumors and ideas but at the moment Talon knew, he just knew there was some merit to these rumors.

It amused Talon to no end of how he managed to gain this solo journey, for if he had brought Katarina he knew he would hear no end of "Such a useless mission, and what more how dreadful the weather, I mean please Talon is your head okay?" and continued whining from his charge. How I even still serve her and Cass I have no idea Talon mused wearily, his halfhearted joke forced a sigh from his lips. Moving quickly away from what seemed to be a road that lead upward into the mountain, Talon noticed tracks made from horses and wheels. Straining his ears he moved behind the cover of the large rocks and boulders that acted as walls for the road, he moved swiftly and silently.

Large crunching noises where heard up ahead and Talon crept slower, his body tensing up as he felt danger rising up in his mind. Moving gracefully he noticed spatters of blood and remains of a wooden carriage among limbs of – Dear God Talon ducked his head as he reacted of a large rock smashed on top of him. His eyes laid upon a lizard, four legged and large. Its tail wrapped around a rock as it lashed out again, sending a rock flying towards Talon. His legs propelling his body to duck behind a large boulder. It was not a dragon, for that he was certain, this beast had no wings and what more it was not as large as the Dragon form he was accustom to see from the Institute of War. But what chances of I alone do I have to beat such creature? Talon thought as he moved from his hiding spot, the Lizard lunged but was unable to reach its prey as Talon quickly threw a barrage of small knives and with a quick burst of speed Talon moved past the Lizard.

His eyes laid upon the flag, now tattered and stain with blood and saw no symbol he recognized but before he could investigate further the Lizard lunged again with its fangs barred and ready to feast upon the flesh of Talon. Oh Talon dove to his left to dodge the Lizard's set of teeth, his daggers seemed useless at the moment, unable to find the soft spot of this lizard but with limited time to move and even less time to think he had very little options.

"I need a second to-" Talon spoke but already he had to dodge another lunge from the Lizard, and with a curse Talon tried to concentrate once more. Magic was something all living things embodied but few could master it and even fewer can wield it with tremendous power. Different from Chi or other Spiritual energy but Talon had to put in very little effort to use his Magic powers, since the Summoners of the Institute did more of the concentration for him and even channeled their own Magic through him to give him a boost. But now, outside the Fields of Justice and with no Summoner's aide using his Magic seemed impossible at the moment.

Got to wait, just simply stand still and move at the very last second He thought, perhaps he could will his own Magic to come out soon enough. His hands holding a blade between each finger he began to concentrate. The Lizard roared and charged towards the Assassin, I'm not going to get my magic up in time He feared but then a blazing pair of fireballs appeared and crashed into the Lizard knocking the beast out of its run. A pair of figures stood upon a boulder, small little beings that resembled children, the Lizard lost its interest in Talon and focused its attention to the new threat. The Lizard roared and charged towards the two children but before it could even lunged upwards blood gushed out of the Lizard's throat and it crashed into the boulder harshly. The Children standing on top lost their balance from the impact and fell forward but were fortunate to land in Talon's own arms instead on the rocky floor. Fortunate depending on who's perspective of course.

Talon eyed the two children, they certainly weighed more than what Talon had first expected. Though the most obvious feature were the fact they looked almost like the Half Dragon Shyvanna, but only younger and cuter. I thought she was a one of a kind Talon mused as he set the children down. Each glared at Talon, baring their fanged teeth and growled. Talon couldn't do much but hold a laugh in, it seemed almost comical to see.

"Two Half Dragon child-"Talon lunged backwards as a fireball struck the area he was but a moment ago standing on.

"Stay away from them you Noxus Assassin," A feminine voice growled out.

Talon looked ahead to see a familiar looking fully fledged Dragon, and almost in an instant transform into an armored female. "A surprise, sadly I'm not one for surprises," Talon said wearily.

"I will spare the pleasantries and demand to know why you and your kindred have traveled so far into the Dragon's country, and perhaps I will allow you to live a moment longer," Shyvanna ordered, walking past the two children so that she stood in-between them and Talon.

"So Noxus has sent troops in," Talon mused to himself, "Interesting," He wondered off in his voice.

"Speak Assassin!" Shyvanna shouted, "Noxus has sent more than just troops, now speak of your plans," Shyvanna added ferociously. She raised her fist and fire began to conjure around it.

Talon took a cautious step back, not that one step back would help, "I came here seeking that same knowledge myself Half Dragon that is all, I am under no orders from any Noxus High Command nor am I aware of any orders that pertained to Dragon's Country," Talon responded with both his hands raised in surrender.

"Liar!" Shyvanna countered, clashing both of her fists together, sparks flying nearly everywhere. "My patience is wearing thin Assassin, you will tell all that you know or else," Shyvanna threatened.

Talon knew that nothing he would say in his defense would sway this Half Dragon to his favor if he just kept pledging ignorance but perhaps with something else said, "I will tell you my truth, and what I know Half Dragon," Talon started, "I am not a part of this detachment of Noxus troops but I was ordered to shadow this caravan into Dragon's Country. A platoon of troops and Zaun Scientist, their goal," Talon paused as he pointed towards the two children, "Them," Talon ended.

Shyvanna growled and was about ready to kill Talon right there and then, "What could Noxus want with these Children and furthermore you shall receive the same fate of those of which are now nestled in that Lizard's gut," Shyvanna said.

Talon raised a single eyebrow, unsure whether she meant that she would eat him or feed him to a giant Lizard. But not wishing to find out what exactly what she meant Talon quickly spoke, "I am not positive of who gave these orders but Noxus wishes to harness the potential of creating Half Dragon Soldiers for themselves, with Zaun's scientific minds to create mighty Half Dragon Soldiers. Noxus's conquest of the world would easier." Talon spoke, before adding "I do not share their ideals or goals, I simply came to spy on these men," To at least give him some defense.

Shyvana glared deeply at Talon, before Talon could even blink she came flying and nailed him directly in the head with one of her armored fists. Slumping to the floor Shyvana picked up the unconscious assassin and began to walk, the two half dragon children trotted behind and looked with awe at Talon's sleeping form.

"Lucky assassin, I've done away with my thirst for blood," She spoke out harshly as she walked away from the main road.
