I woke up with my head next right up against Rileys' bare chest. I can't believe yesterday Riley and I had sex. I smile. Last night was the best night of my life, he was so nice to me and we had the best time. I look up and see his face, you can tell he hasn't shaved in a little while. He begins to stir and he smiles. Probably remembering what we did last night. It's like the first day of the rest of my life.
"Talia, if you keep squirming around I'll have to take you for round 5" I immediately hide my face in his chest, to make sure he doesn't see the blush on it.
"Your know... When you blush, you do it everywhere"He states bringing my head out and putting his head in front of my breast.
"Like here" He starts kissing it open mouthed, meaning he put his tongue over my nipple. I put my hands in his hair and put my head back on the pillow.
"Ri, as much as I would like you to take me again... We have to get up. My dad is probably going to kill you for not asking him about sharing a apartment together" I feel him smile and then I see his face again. He quickly presses his lips to mine and pushes his tongue into my mouth. I smile and he pulls back.
"I love you"
"I love you too" He gets out of bed and I see that he has his underwear on. I pull down the covers and get out of bed myself, I have my bra and panties on.
"Shower?" I nod and we both get in.
Riley and I did end up doing a round 5 in the shower, we both figured why not I guess. Once we got out I quickly got dressed in a black shirt and a leather jacket, then some dark colored jeans. I tell Riley that I'll be in the dining hall and he shouts a quick "Okay" And I walk out the door. The hallways are pretty quiet and I realize that it is kind of early. I get to the dining room and I see that there are a lot of people there anyways. I sit down next to Melissa and smile, she immediatly smiles back.
"You and Riley did it!" She says in my ear. I blush and look down at my lap.
"Oh my god you did to it!" My smile gets wider and I nod.
"Congrats!" She laughs and I giggle out a little bit, then steal a bite of her bagel. She shoves my shoulder and I do it back.
After about 45 minutes I begin to worry. Riley still hasn't showed up and Mason and Daniel both say that they haven't seen him. My leg shakes without me even knowing it, unconsciously. I finally get up and start walking to our apartment when someone grabs my wrist, I turn around and see Mason.
"Mase, I gotta go" I say
"I know, just be careful please. Some weird things have been going on" He say letting go, I quickly nod and again start my walk to the apartment.
When I get into the hallway I start hearing some groaning, making my pase quicken. I unlock the door and am surprised at what I see.
"Riley!" I run to him on the ground in the middle of the floor. I see him lying in his own blood and I start balling. I quickly take off his shirt and see his wound, it's a gun shot.
"Tal..." he moans.
"Riley. No! Stay with me, keep your eyes open baby" I take my shirt off and press it do his chest. The shot is right below his peck, below his heart. I feel stuff running down my face and realize it's snot and tears.
"Please Riley, you can't leave me" I press harder on my shirt. I try getting my phone out, and get it open to call mom.
"Hello?" She answers
"Mommy, help me please!" I sob.
"Talia? Baby, what's wrong. Where are you?" She asks
" I-I'm at our new apartment. I w-went to b-breakfast, then came back. R-riley is on the floor. Mommy! He's s-hot. Help please" I put my head on his chest and cry.
"Okay, Dad and I are on our way. He's going to be okay, alright? Is he still breathing?" She asks.
I look at his chest and put my finger under his nose. I feel and see something, but it's not a lot.
"Yes, for n-now, but I don't know..." I say
"Okay honey, we're in the hallway I'll see you in 1 sec" I nod and she hangs up. The door opens revealing mom and dad. Dad quickly picks Riley up and starts sprinting out of the door and down the hallway.
"No! Mama, I have to go with him! I have to be with him" I say as she holds him back. He's probably so alone, I have no idea how long he sat there, dying. All alone and cold. I slide down in mom's arm and sob into her shoulder.
"Shh, it's gonna be okay" She coos. I just ball and ball into her shoulder. I look up and into her eyes.
"We have to go to the infirmary! Come on he can't die there without me being there" I say getting up and running there. When I get there I see Dad at the front desk with a bloody shirt and his head in his hands.
"Daddy" He turns around and opens his arms. He runs his hands over my hair.
"He can't die, he just can't" I feel him nod. I hear feet walking around and I turn to see Uncle Uriah and Uncle Zeke.
"What the hell happened to my son?" Uriah says. I turn back around in dad's chest and sob.
"He's in surgery. He got shot. Uriah... It was next to the heart..." That's my dad trying to tell him that Riley might not make it. I turn back around and sit in the corner of the room, not in a chair. Just on the floor, I brought my legs to my chest. Uncle Uriah nods and so does Uncle Zeke. I put my head in my knees and silently cry.
It feels like two hours before I hear.
"Talia" I look up from my knees and in between my tears to see Melissa. She comes next to me and sits down.
"Liss, he might not make it" She nods.
"Who did this?" She asks. I haven't even thought of that, who would do this? Ethan popped in my head, but I shook it off. He was at breakfast when I arrived and he never left. So was all my other friends.
"I don't know..." I say. She nods and we just sit down. All of Riley's family ends up coming to the infirmary and stays there like I do. Just sitting and waiting until the doctor comes out with any news.
After about 5 hours I hear someone say.
"Riley Pedrad" I once again look up, but this time I get up and walk to the doctor, which happens to be Lance. He looks at me with sorrow.
"Lance, don't tell me he's..." I start and tears start coming again.
"No, he's not dead, but that bullet was inches away from his heart. His body put himself in a coma. We got the bullet out, but there was a lot of damage. He might wake up in a week, a month, or a year... Or he may never. I'm sorry Talia, I can't do anything about it" I quickly nod and I see the rest of his family do it too.
"Can I see him?" I ask
"He is currently in the ICU only 1 person is allowed at a time" I nod and look down.
"Talia, you can see him first" I hear Aunt Marlene say. I look up at her in hope, then look at Lance, he nods and start walking down the hallway, I follow. We get to the a glass door and I look in it to see the love of my life. A breathing tube is over his mouth, no doubt down his throat. He is shirtless and some gauze is wrapped around it, you can see the slight red color peeking out. Meaning it bled badly.
I get into the room, and sit in the chair next to him. I grab his hand and put my head on it. And that's how I stay for the rest of the night. Holding Riley's hand and praying he doesn't die
3 Weeks Later.
It's been 3 weeks since Riley was shot. He still hasn't woken up, so the coma is still going on obviously. A lot of people have visited him and told me that he's going to be okay. Lance has allowed more than 1 person in the room, because I have not left his side, or let go of his hand. Melissa has come to make me take a shower, or clean myself... It didn't work. There was nothing anybody could do to leave the room. This morning was a lot like every other morning, wake up at 5:30, still holding his hand and not doing anything but pray. Except for around 7:45 when when I suddenly felt nauseous. I had to let go of his hand and run to the bathroom holding my mouth. Once I finish I walk back into the room, and look around. When I pass the calender I look at it. It's Augest 28th. I'm late, I'm a week late. I can't be pregnant. I'm pretty sure when we had sex we used condoms, or he pulled out. I quickly run to the front desk and ask for a test. Then go into the bathroom and take it. I don't look at it before I call Melissa.
"Melissa... I think I might be pregnant you need to get here now. I can't look at it" I say.
"I'll be right there" She says quickly.
She gets here within a minute and looks at the test, then looks at me. It's the same look Lance had when he told me about Riley.
"No, I can't be. Not when he's not awake, and when I can't tell him" I start crying again.
"Talia... I'm sorry, but... It's okay. You know how happy Riley will be when you get to tell him?" She says smiling
"If! If he wakes up! I think your forgetting that he hasn't woken up in 3 weeks, what makes you think that he will in the next 3 weeks? Or the 3 weeks after that!?" I snap. I regret it as soon as I said it. She looks down.
"Liss... I'm sorry. I just can't imagine if he wakes up and I have a baby in my arms, or I'm 5 months pregnant. What if he wakes up to find me like 25 and our child 9?" I say.
"You can't think about it like that. You think about it like tomorrow he's gonna wake up and your gonna be able to tell him that your gonna have a baby" She says. I smile. I make my way back to the ICU and once again grab Riley's hand, like I'm holding on for dear life.
WOOOO I updated earlier than schedule lol. I surprised myself with this chapter, I knew I wanted some action because we haven't had very much lately. I do plan on updating soon so that I don't keep you guys waiting for long on this, on that note lets go to another subject.
The pregnancy... So a lot of you guys wanted me to wait a few years for it to happen, but I could not resist it. Again on that note. WE SHALL VOTE :P
