TMNT: the unexpected friendship

Chapter 18: Ruins and Assassins

You're not asking the right questions; there's something that should be on your mind. For starters: where's James?

Bianca shot up off the sofa with a gasp. She felt like she couldn't breath properly and had to take a moment to control herself. The last thing the voice said in her head kept echoing in her brain, she needed to find out for sure.

"I need to go…" She swiped the sheets off her body, not registering she was in the lair until she got up and a couple of green arms stopped her from moving.

"Whoa, whoa, hold your horses." Raph soothed as he tried to calm her down, Bianca didn't want to calm down, she had to get out.

"Let go, please! I have to go!" Bianca tried getting around him but Mikey joins Raph to block her way to the door.

"You've just got up, you shouldn't be moving around so much." Mikey argued.

"But, I have to go see…" Bianca whispered, almost on the verge of whimpering. This got Raph and Mikey to back off slightly from holding her arms and moving to see her face. She was breathing in deeply.

"See what?" Donny asked as he rushed over to his brothers and his friend.

"If James is okay." Bianca breathes as she runs her fingers through her hair, she had to calm down, but her heart was racing and the guys weren't helping her focus properly.

"Why wouldn't he be?" Leo asked as he placed a hand on her shoulder, making her turn around to face him and not talking for a moment.

"I…I don't know."

"You don't know?" Raph huffed softly. Bianca growled softly in her throat and turned her neck around to see him properly.

"I have a gut feeling, okay? And usually I don't ignore my gut when it's kicking me this hard. Phoenix feels it too."

"Phoenix? So, you know?" Leo asked lightly. Bianca didn't understand his tone of voice and turned to him again, but slower. Looking at the other guys wasn't helping Bianca understand what Leo meant.

"About him? Yeah. We, talked." Bianca stated with confusion, not sure why they wouldn't know about Phoenix since Phoenix fought in her place for most of the fight with the Shredder.

"And we can trust him?" Donny asked, trying not to push Bianca over the edge, not knowing what the consequences of making Bianca angry would do.

"Yes, gods yes." She breathed calmly, moving a bit away from them since her friends surrounded her; she needed more room to breath.

"Gods?" Mikey repeated curiously.

"It's, complicated."

"Why don't you get uncomplicated by sitting down and explaining to us what is going through your head?" Raph asked, trying to stay on the more levelheaded side of him.

"It'll take too much time, James' life might be on the line."

"We can't let you go wondering off by yourself while we have our hands full too." Leo almost demanded as he once again got in between Bianca and the door.

"With what?"

"You don't know?" Donny inquired.

"I guess Phoenix didn't express everything about the battle, didn't you guys win against Shredder? Our troubles should be over, right?" Bianca asked, though as she talked, she was unsure of who she was asking the question to, the guys were making her question her own thoughts.

"Not exactly." Donny murmured.

"It seems we can never escape trouble." Mikey sighed, though even he was serious at the moment. This got Bianca really on edge and curious as to what it was the guys weren't telling her.

"What happened?"

"Master Splinter's missing." Leo stated.

"What?" Her voice cracked slightly as she turned to face Leo. He wouldn't meet her eyes, he was staring down at his two big toes. "You're kidding me."

"Why would we kid about this?" Raph argued almost viciously.

"Okay, sorry, not the right time. When'd he go missing? How long?"

"A few days, and there still no sign of him." Mikey stated solemnly.

"A few days!" Bianca panicked, gripping her hair tightly in knots. "How long was I out for?"

"Since the helicopter ride. We realized Splinter went missing prior to leaving the Foot tower." Donny stated.

"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry." Bianca sat down again, she was finding it hard to contain her adrenaline rush from getting up so quickly, she now felt more lightheaded. "Have there been any leads?"

"No. We're at a dead end." Leo growled.

"I wish I could help."

"What? So you're not gonna do anything to help?" Raph growled again; Bianca could tell he was not happy with Splinter being gone, or the fact that Bianca was so distant all of a sudden and on her own schedule, but there wasn't anything she could do to not feel this way.

"No, because James might be in trouble or missing too, I won't know until I check for myself." Bianca sighed. "If you care so much about your father, how do you think I feel about not knowing about where my brother could be?"

"How could you know he's gone?" Mikey asked.

"Because he hasn't once tried contacting me while we were gone." Bianca sighed, not liking the thought of not talking to her brother in such a long time. They usually always tried keeping in touch, and even when they couldn't because of different time zones, they still made up for it later, but this was too much. "I even tried calling him on the side, right as we got back, but he never answered the home phone or his cell."

"He could just be at work." Donny hypothesized.

"He always keeps his cell on just in case I have an emergency. Still wasn't on. I thought it'd be because he was still mad at me, but he wouldn't do this if he was mad, he'd just be stern with me until we made bygons be bygons."

"We can't let you leave in your condition." Raph argued, starting to calm down a little, now realizing Bianca had good reasons to be distant and worried about her brother and not completely focused on helping the with Splinter's absence.

"What condition? I'm fine."

"You just woke up from what we thought was a comatose state." Donny stated firmly, not liking his friend who he has been checking up constantly to see if she's been feeling alright and stable all of a sudden want to go out into what he knew was an unsafe world.

"But look, I'm functioning, I'm awake and moving about. I think that speaks for itself."

"You shouldn't be going out there at all. You need your rest." Raph argued.

"You're not resting for Splinter, why would I rest for James, he needs me as much as I need him." Bianca countered.

"We need to stick together because family is at an all time high on the importance scale." Mikey stated.

"You can't just go off on your own, the Foot or the Purple Dragons could come after your and try and take you down for the number you, ahem, you and Phoenix, did on the Shredder and Hun." Leo tried lecturing Bianca as best as he could but all it got is a hug around the neck. He stumbled from the change in weight and quickly hugged her back to keep her from falling.

"Don't think for a second I won't find you." She whispered to him. It caught him off guard for sure, though that wasn't the only thing, she quickly let go and pushed off him slightly and turned to his brothers. "None of you are getting away from me that easily." She said louder. Without another word, she headed for the door and as it slowly opened, Mikey whispered yelled to his brothers,

"Why does Leo always get the best hugs?" Then he got roughly nudged in the side and Bianca turned back, since she heard everything, winked, and carried on out the door. As the door closed, the guys were left in a long silence until Donny decided to speak up.

"Are we making the right decision?"

"Yeah, shouldn't we go after her or something?" Mikey added carefully. He directed his question towards his eldest brother, and Leo took a moment to answer.

"I'm…not sure, but it wouldn't matter, none of us were going to stop her anyway."

"Yeah, she wants to be the hero just like you." Raph chuckled as he nudged Leo's side playfully. Leo looked at him and sighed while shaking his head side to side.

"Mm-mm, she's just being her usual stubborn self." Though his brothers didn't understand why he was smiling about that, they left Leo alone and they went back to brainstorming about new locations to search in the city for their lost sensei.

Bianca rushed through the sewers until she found the sewer lid that led to the alley near a busy street. She wasn't planning on running all the way back home. Thank goodness as she got up from her sheets she grabbed her jacket with her wallet in it. She hustled up the ladder and popped the lid to the surface off. Slowly and stealthily, she climbed out of the ground and hustled to the sidewalk. It didn't take time after she put her fingers to her mouth to whistle a cab pulled up to the curb. She hopped in and demanded where she needed to go, and told him to make it quick.

She hastily grabbed for money from her wallet, overpaid the driver, told him to keep the rest, and ran through the spinning doors. A voice stopped Bianca dead in her tracks from her sprint to the elevators. She spun around and saw a familiar face at the desk.

"Hi Chuck." She breathed heavily as she approached the counter, trying to look as casual as she could.

"Hey kid, haven't seen you around lately, did your brother kick you out or something?" He chuckled, though Bianca had to force a laugh to not feel sad for the reason she left.

"No, I went on a trip with my friend for vacation." She managed to say; she breathed once more to slow her breathing and calm down a bit more. "Speaking of my brother, has he left the room recently?"

"Not in a while actually, it's probably been a week or two by now."

"Makes sense, since he's been injured recently, I wouldn't want him moving from bed."

"And you still managed to have enough food in your fridge for that long?"

"He doesn't eat much to begin with, nothing that requires a stove or oven really, I barely let him use the toaster."

"Right, last Thanksgiving didn't go quite as planned I heard."

"Yeah, no kidding." Bianca managed a real laugh this time, the fire department charging up the stairs was hilarious and the look on James' face made the whole moment much better. "Anyway I'll head up and check on him."

"Tell him the shake a leg, lying in bed won't do him any good."

"I will." She waved him off and he toasted his coffee mug to her. Slipping the key out of her phone case she swiped it through the elevator slot and her elevator closed and shot her up to her floor, impatiently tapping her foot as time passed incredibly slow. The elevator chimed and opened to reveal her floor. She almost passed her door as she couldn't stop her feet flying across the floor; though there was good reason to pass her door too. Something was different.

"What's with this tape? It's not police tape. Was it meant to fool me, or something? Sounds definitely like PD behavior." She felt the plastic ribbon with her fingertips and pinched it in between her thumb and pointer finger. Quickly and carelessly she ripped the tape off the door and then slipped the key into the door and tried opening the door; it was stuck. "Funny…it's usually never jammed." She tried shoving the door open with her shoulder, only managing to move it maybe a centimeter. Though she wasn't able to see much through the crack in the door, she was able to see something blocking the door.

"Alright, time for a new method." She sighed, though she hadn't had much time to discuss with Phoenix about her newfound abilities, but she was willing to try anything to get inside. It didn't take much to focus; she took in a deep breath and then kicked with all her might to get the door open. Thankfully there wasn't a scorch mark to show her evidence, though she heard the object blocking the door fall down. This made the door easier to open, though once it was open; she was regretting her decision coming home.

"Oh my gods…" She gasped, her hands flew to her mouth as she started shaking violently. Everything was shattered: plates, mirrors, windows were cracked slightly, and that's saying a lot since the windows covered the whole back window near the kitchen. Couches were overturned and ripped up, stuffing was scattered across the room. Bianca panicked and decided to check the house, there wasn't anything she could see that was stolen per say. It was too messy to know for sure; she barely knew where to begin. Her anger was boiling up to her throat and she growled. She left the apartment, walked down the hall to the window at the very end of the hall and opened it.

"Okay, it's time to test my limits." She sighed as she swung her legs over the ledge of the window and sat there for a moment. Phoenix whispered in her ear, asking if she was sure. There wasn't anything to argue about, she had to find out. So she jumped.

She concentrated with all that she could and focused energy out of her hands, and she began to slow down her descent. There was a short moment when Bianca felt her hair falling over her shoulders again, she looked up and saw that she had managed to hover with her fists spewing out flames like an engine. She navigated herself towards the windows of her home and scanned for anything from the air. She lifted herself up higher to see the second floor; it wasn't that much different than the first floor. Beds were ripped apart, broken in some areas. Sheets were thrown to the floor, closets jammed open and doors tossed to the side.

She went back to the side window when her search for anything out of the ordinary missing unsuccessful, she flew through the window, landed roughly on the ground and charged towards the door. Lifelessly, she closed the door softly behind her, she slid down the closed door and fell to the ground. She was looking at the most horrible mess she's ever seen. Bianca's hand flew to her pocket and held the number on the keypad, waiting for her friends to pick up.

"Bi, what's up?" Raph asked, trying not to sound frantic.

"It's, it's just as I thought. Maybe even worse." Bianca was finding it hard to contain her emotions anymore, she was at first angry, but now she was facing reality that her home was completely trashed and that her brother was nowhere to be found.

"What do you see?"

"The place is totally trashed, the whole place is torn apart, nothing left unturned."

"Are you alone?" There was a click, meaning Raph had decided to put the phone on speaker phone.

"Yes, I checked everywhere, even flew by some of the windows, though that was pretty scary."

"You can fly?" Mikey awed.

"Not now Mikey." Everyone sighed. Bianca got up off the ground and carefully wandered around the room solemnly, trying not to step on any glass.

"Do you know who could've done this?" Donny asked, he felt awful for his friend, since she had already one home destroyed, this was the second home she's lived in this year. Once again she was left alone with no family nearby.

"I can a name a few people off the back of my hand that'd want to mess with me by messing with James: Shredder, Purple Dragons, mobsters, police, must I go on?"

"Is there anyone who could have just been targeting James?" Leo asked.

"I'm not sure, maybe Purple Dragons; but this looks pretty bad for some PD ambush. Besides, they don't know where we live."

"They could've stalked you home, or James, there's no way to tell." Donny reasoned hopelessly. He didn't want to face the facts anymore than she wanted to hear them.

"But there are things sliced up perfectly, like with a sword, and there are other marks like…" She walked up to a wall and saw gashes in the cement wall that almost made her jump out of her skin.

"Like what?" Raph asked.

"Like a double bladed fist." Bianca growled as she place d her hand over her left side gingerly, the scar on her side reflected the marks on the wall perfectly.

"That sounds a lot like the Shredder." Leo said, he felt a need to be there for her, to make sure she didn't do anything reckless by herself, since he knew she was prone to doing so.

"I recognize that mark anywhere. Definitely him."

"But how could've that scumbag gotten a hold of James?" Raph asked.

"He was probably waiting for Bianca to be vulnerable and taking him away seemed like a good idea." Donny hypothesized.

"Yeah but he wanted me to surrender beforehand, he could've used James as a bargaining chip: I-join-him-and-James-goes-free sort of deal; but he didn't do that."

"So what are you going to do?" Mikey asked warily.

"I'm going to look around a bit more, see what else I can find."

"Don't do anything crazy." Leo warned. Bianca laughed sarcastically as she expected nothing less from him.

"Like jump to conclusions, you find out other information contact us, okay?" Raph pushed.

"Stop treating me like I'm a little kid." Bianca sighed.

"Hey, we're just worried cuz you've been unconscious for a while okay?" Donny chimed in to try to calm him down.

"Fine, fine, sorry." She breathed and took a moment to calm herself down, for them at least. "Thank you. I'll talk to you soon." She hung up and slid the shell cell back into her room. Glancing towards the stairs she hoped that maybe James might've left something behind to give her a clue as to why he'd be gone or who'd be after him. Without another strategy, she headed up the stairs to her brother's room. It's been a while since Bianca's been in James' room, it was obviously trashed too, and by the looks of it, Shredder was looking for something. Bianca ventured into the trashed room tentatively, there was light bulbs from above that were shattered on the ground, the break looked like it was stabbed in the center and imploded on itself, feathers scattered everywhere like someone had a party with white feather boas.

The closet was forced open forcefully and the doors were crumbled on the ground. She looks through the closet, seeing if anything was missing: money was there, watches still in their boxes, nice blazers were crumpled on the floor, but present. Everything was untouched. She leaned her hand on the wall in front of her and sighed, but the wall bent under her touch. She got off the wall and did it again, the same thing happened; it was supposed to be a concrete wall. So she felt around some more, and just saw it was in one area, so she examines it and then decides to give it a nice kick. Her foot makes a hole in the wood and her foot's stuck in it. she pulls roughly and the whole wooden board comes off the wall.

"Since when has he had this?" She looked at the contents inside the little secret extension of a closet James built. There were a line of swords on the new visible wall, of different lengths and widths. There were weird cotton uniforms or pajamas of some sort folded on a makeshift shelf. There was another piece of fabric that was folded underneath the clothes that stuck out to her, she lifted it up and gasped. "No…way." She was holding a Foot Clan flag. She let the fabric fall from her hands, and then she proceeded to examine the "pajamas", which turned out to be Foot ninja suits, but his was different than the other's. his didn't have sleeves and there were secret pockets in the cloth that held shuriken, gas bombs, and multiple other things.

"Oh he's so dead when I find him, if he's…okay, no, not gonna finish that thought." Bianca sighed. She grabbed the flag on the ground again and set it on fire, so it would burn and she placed it over all the other uniforms and the swords, so everything would burn. She walked out, hands steaming, and she stomped out the door headed to the only logical place she could begin looking for in-over-his-head brother: Foot Tower. There wasn't a moment's hesitation when she decided to climb out of his window and fly up to the rooftop to begin her long journey to the tower. ;

Once she had arrived, Bianca was surprised to find the whole street completely quiet. From what she heard from Phoenix is that the police were swarming the place and that's when they all had to book it out of there.

"Guess the cops didn't find anything useful in the tower, shocker, they're too dumb to really understand what they're up against." A smirk appeared onto her face all too easily, she enjoyed being above the knowledge of the cops, though it'd be kind of nice if they actually knew what was going on. Looking around to make sure no one was watching, she flew to the top floor of the Foot Tower. Bianca entered the all too familiar room she had just finished fighting in a few days ago. She saw her own scorch marks she had made, or, Phoenix had made. It was weird thinking she could cause so much damage without even realizing it. Shaking the feeling away was the only sense of comfort she could provide herself, but that moment was cut short by sudden ninjas falling from the surprisingly intact rafters. She was in no mood to deal with them.

"Phoenix, would you mind?" She mumbled to herself.

'Not at all.' His voice echoed in her mind and then she took a literal seat back into her mind and watched as Phoenix took her place. It was a weird experience to see someone else fighting for her, though she definitely didn't mind having the break. Phoenix was a master fighter and she was fortunate to have someone like him by her side. Though she had to make sure to not abuse this power, she remembered how much it took out of her last time, so she needs to learn how to control herself.

'I have finished.' Phoenix appeared in front of her and she got up and smirked at him.

'Wow, you're good at this.' She complimented. He bowed bashfully and smiled back at her.

'I have grown used to fighting.' He seemed pleased with the thought, which kind of concerned her but she shrugged and returned to the real world.

"Funny how they thought they could stand in our way." She smirked to herself. She walked past the unconscious masses of bodies and tried to remember how to get down to the control center. After going down various hallways and elevators even, she found the large room, still abandoned, since there wasn't much to secure anymore with no one to keep secure. She walked up casually to the command center and started looking for schematics of the building.

Thankfully the one she found was more detailed than the one April found online, so Bianca was able to identify what room lead to where. She finally found the cellars and took a picture of the schematics for her phone to keep and followed the path to the lower levels of the Tower, which were underground. She looked around for any cell that stood out to her, using the flashlight on her phone to guide her. After searching the different locked cells, she found one that was opened.

"This…better not have been…" She entered the cell hastily and then dropped to her knees when she saw the scattered blood stains on the walls and the floor of the cell. She struggled to control her whimpering and managed to bite her lip to silence her.

"Now what is a pretty thing like you doing lurking around here?" Interrupted a booming and cocky voice, though she was thankful to remember it couldn't be The Shredder stalking her like before. Though with this in mind, she didn't hesitate to put up a front.

"Who's there?" Bianca called out.

"Just a friend amidst the shadows." As she left the shadowy cell, a figure from above popped down onto the ground in a squat. "A curious friend."

"Well haven't you heard: curiosity killed the cat." Bianca unsheathed her tonfas and charged instantly. The man pulled out a sword of his own that was strapped on his belt and blocked both oncoming attacks, though barely when she got pretty close to his chin.

"Thanks for the help but I just shaved this morning." The man laughed as he stepped up far enough to create as much distance as he could with Bianca, though it was hard with their current circumstances.

"Oh I insist, let me clean you up." Bianca hissed as she pushed the man against a pillar with her brute strength colliding into him. He wasn't expecting that sort of move so he fell back and she managed to take his weapon from him and aim the tip at his throat.

"Alright, alright, cool your jets. Don't get so worked up, though I think I should be flattered. Give me a chance to apologize." He said as he glanced from the sword to Bianca's eyes, finally resting his eyes on her.

"For what, being a creeper?" Bianca said seething, though letting curiosity getting the better of her as she stepped back slightly. The man sweeps his legs and trips Bianca up and at the same time taking his sword away from her.

"How about being sorry for that." He says as he smirks down at her.

"You son of a…" Bianca starts but he interrupts her.

"Ah, ah, ah, watch it," He begins waving his finger in her direction. "A lady such as yourself shouldn't be talking in such a way."

"You expect me to take courtesy lessons from you, the guy who stayed in the shadows watching me?" Bianca asks sarcastically as she slowly gets up. He smirks at her and she cautiously puts her hand behind her and grabs her tonfas again and continues to dance with him. He was quite gifted and managed to not get hurt, as she dodged or blocked all his blows as well.

"Woo, you fight almost as well as a man." He says, as they were both at a standstill, Bianca trying a bit harder to gain dominance than he.

"Ha, I was going to say the same thing about, you!" Bianca says pushing off from the standstill, causing him to lose his balance, and continues to attack him.

"That's hitting a little below the belt, don't you think?" He remarks.

"No, this is!" Bianca says calmly, and then aims for below the belt, literally. He blocks the attack but Bianca sheaths her tonfa to hit him in the face. He falls back on his butt from the impact and lack of sight.

"Love a girl who takes things, right to the point." He groans, recovering from the blow.

"Trust me, I'll be your worst nightmare if you don't start making sense; now."

"Alright, alright, fun's over." He says as he puts his sword back on his hip and he slowly stands up. "I'm Taiyo: it means sun god." Bianca looks almost amused at the sudden change of his 'strategy'. "And…you are?"

"Ha, you expect me to answer you? I have the upper hand here." Bianca asks angry more than confused, though truthfully it was more of a façade she was trying to keep up.

"What can I say: I'm a sucker for chicks like you." He says calmly, like it was obvious.

"Heh, chicks like me, real smooth." She scuffs. He shrugs cheekily and when a moment passes and they both don't say anything, Bianca breaks the silence. "So, you're not gonna kidnap me?" He stays silent but shakes his head no. "Take me to the Shredder?" Bianca asks as she slowly let down her tonfas she was still holding and placing them back in their holders.

"Not as long as he kicked the bucket, I'm a lone wolf again." He said as he motioned his arm around.

"You're weird." Bianca says quietly.

"I would take offense to that but it seems like a good thing in this case." He says smiling at her.

"In this case, and only in this case: it is." She rolls her eyes and she turns her back on him and starts to slowly pace backwards, arms behind her back. "So, if you're not going to kidnap me, what was the point of all this?" Bianca asked turning her head back to him with a raised brow.

"I'd settle for your name." He says simply.

"You, don't know?"

"I would remember a name of a beauty like you."

"Bianca…" She says slowly, mainly because she was shocked he didn't know her name, especially since probably everyone knew in the Foot Clan to be on the look out for Bianca. "So what's your plan, Mr. Lone Wolf?"

"Well I was going to settle down here for a while as I gathered supplies to keep on traveling, until I found what I was looking for."

"And why did you think the Shredder would have it, of all people."

"He was a powerful man, you must know every powerful man has his connections. I wanted him to hook me up with some new information, my last lead dried up."

"What are you looking for?"

"Not what, who." He corrected and then stalled for a moment. "Another lone wolf like myself, I've been tracking him, but I lost his trail."

"Hm." Bianca mused. She thought for a moment and she came to the conclusion that if he was lurking around here, he might've seen what would've happened to James. "This might peak your interest, but let's hope your curiosity doesn't get you killed, you won't do me any good being dead."

"I'm listening…" He urged her on. She smirked inwardly.

"You help me find what I'm looking for, and I'll help you out."

"You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours."

"Exactly. I'm tracking someone down too: he used to be locked up in here I presume; he's my brother." She said and he looked at the cell she was pointing to and noted all the blood and grimaced slightly. "Do we have a deal?"

"Let's see: teaming up with a beautiful woman on a quest to save family, seems like a shoo in for me to get close to the relatives."

"Gross, not gonna happen. But if you do help me find my brother, then I'll get my back scratcher." He took a moment to think over his options and then shrugged.

"What the heck? Not like this city's any fun anymore with the Shredder gone and all." Bianca laughed dryly.

"Oh I wouldn't say it's too boring, it's definitely still lively with the Foot clan left behind and the Purple Dragons running amuck."

"That's child's play: there was something about the Shredder I really enjoyed, he was psychotic, but in a good way."

"I don't see how there's anything good in psychopaths like him, but whatever." "So do you have an idea of where he might be?"

"I think I do, when the tower got invaded there were a pack of intruders who ventured through here and took the prisoner, he was the only one in here and I recognized them from somewhere, remembering stalking them for the Shredder not too long ago. If you think that was your brother-"

"It had to be." Bianca interrupted.

"Then I'll lead the way." He said walking out of the dungeon type place.

"Be my guest." Bianca said following close behind him. He got to a window and took a grappling hook from his belt and swung to the next building's rooftop.

"I suggest holding onto me." He said extending an arm out to her.

"Please, I have my own ways of getting across." She laughs as she pushes him aside and fires up her fists again in flames and rockets herself over to the next building. he just stared after her for a moment, shook his head to snap out of it and swung across.

"I think you should change your name to Taiyo, because you are like the sun god. Or we change your name another way." He smirked when he landed.

"My goodness you're persistent, do you not understand the whole I'm not interested front I'm using?"

"It's all a front to me because I know how you truly feel about me."

"Get real. You're not my type."

"Then what's your type?"

"Obviously not you." She said jumping ahead of him this time. when he was about to grab her to spin her around and make another move for her, a voice broke the silence and yelled,

"Step away from her fiend!"

"What?" Taiyo said as they each scanned around to see the newcomers. They appeared on the building across from them. They jumped in unison to continue to block Bianca and Taiyo's way. They were dressed in red and gold robes, almost symbolizing what the Foot Clan would wear but they didn't have the foot symbol embellished anywhere and the straps and designs on the outfit were in black.

"Is this some sort of ambush?" Bianca asked. "I thought we had a deal!" She yelled at Taiyo, pointing a tonfa at him threateningly.

"Hey this wasn't my idea! They just insulted me." He said getting up in her face slightly to prove a point.

"Step away from her, last warning!" The leader of group ordered.

"Whoa, wait a second, he's on my side, not like it's any of your business." Bianca argued.

"You're business is our business." He countered.

"Wait, are you the ones that took James?" Bianca asked frantically.

"We did no such thing."

"But you know him!"

"That's not for you to know."

"If it involves my brother, then yes, it is for me to know about it!" Bianca charges forward with her tonfas unsheathed and slashing in all directions, they blocked it with their individual weapons, of shapes and sizes that Bianca had never recognized before, but she didn't care, she was getting fired up from their intrusion on her mission to find James.

"Have you run into these guys before?" Bianca called out to the assassin who was farther off and fighting goons on his own.

"No, but they seem to know you very well. You have a fan club?" He said as he leapt towards her and they were now back to back.

"Not funny!" She growled as they both charged forward. Bianca slashed at lackeys until she found the head leader again and got into a standstill with him and his two jagged long blades. "How do you know my brother? Where is he?"

"We don't know, but we must take you into our custody if he's not around."

"I'm not someone's possession." Bianca growled as he eyes burned, she was realizing that Phoenix's anger was kicking in, meaning her eyes were glowing a bright amber now. She shoved him off with unbeatable strength and continued to fight off the lackeys, but this time with ease and with her fire abilities. Once the leader of the group realized they were failing he called out,

"Rebels, retreat, we must regroup." The rebels as they were called retreated towards their leader. "We will meet again Bianca. And next time, you shall listen to us." And with his fist he slammed it into the ground and flames consumed them and when the smoke cleared, they had disappeared.

"Well that was certainly new, at least they're gone now." Taiyo commented as he sheathed his wide bladed sword again.

"Great, then let's keep moving." Bianca grumbled as she controlled herself more, feeling the heat retreat into her heart where she usually felt it resting.

"So, have you always been able to do, ya know." He asked as he moved his fists in the way that Bianca was doing with her fire.

"The fire thing? No, it just sort of popped up one day. It comes in handy."

"Yeah no kidding." He laughed. "Funny how he could do it too, maybe he does know you."

"I don't know. Gods they were weird…anyway, let's keep moving." Bianca sighed, trying to keep her focus not on the weirdo-s and on the main objective.

"Right, we're almost there."

"Think they have something to do with all of this?" Bianca asked after a pause as they continued to jump from rooftop to rooftop.

"Not sure, but I've never seen them before." He sighed. "Here it is."

"You're kidding me; this is it? An office building?" She slammed her fist into the ledge of the stone building. "Are you messing with me?" She seethed as she whipped her head around to face Taiyo who was standing on her left.

"No, no I swear. This is where I saw one of those guardian freaks enter." Bianca paused in her thoughts of how to kill the annoying Taiyo.

"The Guardians? But, they were on our side?" Bianca asked to herself as she stared at the building again.

"What?"

"I fought along side them, they're supposed to be good, aren't they?"

"Or maybe you both just happened to share a common enemy." Taiyo reasoned. Bianca couldn't help but think of that being a possibility now, that's usually how it goes, like when Shredder helped her and the turtles take down Stockman the rampaging robot.

"What do they want with you James?" Bianca whispered as she looked for answers desperately. Then something was making commotion from down in the alley below them. "Shhhh, someone's down there." Bianca whispered as she pushed a finger to her lips. She looked down cautiously and couldn't see very clearly, but then saw green scales pop out in the moonlight.

if the quote in the beginning is confusing, it's because you've haven't seen it yet, i'm going to go into the dream sequence she had with phoenix sooner or later, but basically that's how it ended her dream, with Phoenix asking this question.

so yeah hope you like and more on the way soon!
