Me: Heyyy, sorry I'm so late on updating ^^' I kinda like spaced out there for a while, and then I got back on track, and I know what to do now... My new story was giving me some hassle and I'm hoping the next time I update, I'll be close to ending this story, and I'll be posting up my new one. I'm also working really hard to get my (paused) stories, unpaused... Just hoping to kinda hit the 'play' button again and get them rolling. Now, first off! Happy New Year! I know I'm like... a week late.. But still... And another thing! This story is - indeed - very close to being done. I'm estimating 2 more chapters... 3 if I really push myself... XD Another thing! The story that will be coming out, I will NOT let you know the name of it until the day I release it... Which will be by posting it... XD I am NOT releasing the name because it will spoil everything. With the help of Fallen though, I am making progress on it... Paid Off
The group stared wide eyed as Yami stood back up, black lightning crackling all around him. "Wh-Wh.. Where did he learn to do that?" Isis asked, staring wide eyed at her son. "Where did my son learn to do that?!"
"I taught him" Seto said, standing and rubbing his wrists after being untied by Bakura.
"You what!?" Mahad and Isis shouted together.
"He needed to know something about himself. He is the Prince afterall. A lot of people depend on him."
"You taught him to fight! That's completely different!" Mahad shouted as Bakura untied his wrists.
"It doesn't really matter now. Does it?" Yami shouted, earning all eyes on him. "What matters is that now you guys are safe. So stop arguing and get the hell outta here."
"Don't you talk to me that way" Isis lectured.
"Bakura, get them out of here" Yami ordered, his eyes never leaving the Shudagami in front of him.
"As you wish" Bakura said happily, slinging Isis over his shoulder when she refused to come along.
"Yami!" Yugi yelled, not moving as he stood there looking at his Yamino.
"It's okay" Yami said, looking at him with a smile. "Remember my promise.. I won't lose here."
"But-"
"Go, Yugi!"
Yugi turned and ran out of the warehouse with the others as the shadows began to move on their own. Once they were safely away from it, they all turned, looking back towards where they'd left the other Prince. 'Be safe' Yugi prayed silently, grasping his right wrist in his left hand, and lifting it to his chest.
"Are you okay, Ryou?" Bakura asked as his Hikari sunk slowly to the ground.
"I'm fine. I just believe I had a heart attack though."
"Really?" The older albino asked with a raised brow. "How come?"
"Your brother almost zapped me with a shadow bolt! What do mean how come?!"
Bakura grinned, scratching his head sheepishly "I'll punish him for it later.."
"Not if I get my hands around his throat first!"
"You little brat" Aknadin growled, launching forward.
"You're gonna pay for everything, Aknadin!" Yami snarled back.
The two met in the middle, their blades clashing together, sending sparks flying. "What the hell is your problem?!" Yami growled.
"I'm sick of seeing Yaminos and Hikaris so carefree. They never have to fight for anything. I lost my family, friends, everyone I cared about, all because we ran out of food to feed everyone.."
"I see you're still here though" he scoffed.
"Silence!" Aknadin roared "We asked the Yaminos and Hikaris for help. But did they give it to us?!"
"That happened years-"
"No! It's their fault my loved ones are gone. I vowed to take them all out, and that's exactly what I plan on doing."
Yami grit his teeth as Aknadin shoved him back with an energy blast. "You and your precious Hikari aren't the only ones with magic! I've been keeping an eye on you two. You have no idea what you're up against."
"You leave Yugi out of this! This is between you and me!"
"Oh, but I'm afraid it isn't.."
Yami's eyes widened with the ominous message. "What did you do?"
"Let's just say you won't be around to protect your Hikari for much longer..."
Yugi felt a stabbing pain in his chest as they were running from the warehouse. He turned quickly as he began gasping for air. Seto, Marik, Joey, and Malik noticed this and quickly ran to the Prince's side.
"Yugi? Yugi, what's wrong?" Malik asked, his voice full of concern.
"I-It hurts.." The Prince choked out.
"This isn't good" Marik said, looking down at his wrist where the black symbol was giving off a shadow-y aura. "Yami's in danger... Let's go, Seto!"
The two turned, ready to head back to the warehouse when it suddenly exploded. Everyone stopped, dead in their tracks as they looked on, their eyes widened, and their complextions going ghostly pale.
"YAMI!" Bakura screamed, running towards the cloud of smoke. Seto and Marik grabbed ahold of him so he couldn't run towards the fire.
Yugi refused to look at his wrist, he chose to ignore the pain and tears that were rapidly streaking down his face. His Yamino couldn't be gone.. He just couldn't.. 'Yami...'
Me: Aaaaaand CLIFFY! BAHAHAHAHAHA~! Sorry, but I'm super duper alley ooper busy today! And I just finished this up... Next chapter MAY be the last... And! I think I'm going to post the prologue to my new story theeee... 30th of this month ^w^ Maybe the 23rd... Idk yet ^w^ Either way! I hope you all enjoyed!
