The Ending Part 1

Two weeks later

I didn't think I had stopped running for a little under three days. I had no clue where I was going, but I have to admit I was having a little more fun than I thought. I was careful touch any tree close enough effectively leaving my scent. It was dumb extra precaution since Alice told me there was not even close to the time for Yohan coming back. Before I left, I had Alice took really hard into Yohan's future with my ability to enhance her. Apparently it was bleak since he would spend 50 full years in mourning, before trying to return my call. Alice tells me one possibility of faith that Yohan will want to take me back in order to fill the void. If there was ever a chance…I could still have my happily ever after. However I wanted nothing to do with him. Yohan and Ada were a past I was never wanted to remember. I still found myself hurting as I deleted his numbers and changed my phone number, but I had an eternity in front of me. So after giving my two weeks' notice at the Kitsap High, and throwing a really great good going away party I put all my belonging into a storage and had Esme promise she send me my things when I felt I was enough away. The story goes I went to go visit my sick grandparents, but I was vague to say where because I myself never knew. I left with the notion I may never see them again, but everyone was all too willing to have me leave. Either I was never as loved as I figured or Alice saw something grand. Even Jacob, who I slipped a Fig Newton along with a restrain order against him and his clan saw me off with high spirits. He tells me Brady is going to be ok and that he is currently either crashing with Sam and Emily or his father.

It is almost spring time, and although there is a chill in the air March promises green grass and flowers. I was excited for that. I noticed there was more mountains where I was and I decided to go hunting in nearby valley. I was stalking a deer, when suddenly I smelt something I had not in weeks.

A vampire. I go in defensive mode, but I hear a laugh.

"Relax, Lucy. I am not here to hurt you." I watch as a man emerge. He is about 6'2 with sandy brown saggy ponytail and facial hair. And it was apparent immediately that he was an adventurer.

"Uh." He says with a laugh. "It never gets any less weird, but my name is Garrett. And I am a part of your destiny."

I raise an eyebrow and laugh really hard. "Alice?"

"Alice." He says with a nod. "I already know everything about you, but you gotta meet the rest of our coven. You are especially going to love my wife, Kate…and damn. I am so sorry. I am trying to say what Alice asked me, but its total bullshit." He laughs again and extends his hand.

"Welcome to Denali, Lucy. We are vegetarian and the cousins of the Cullens. We already have a room for you. Wacky huh? I at least try to get to first based before moving in a girl…oh boy I am glad Kate did not hear that. I am sorry. I am nervous." He laughs again and I am grinning. I take his hand and as dumb as it all is, I had no reason to against Alice's vision, especially one I help make.

"So I have a coven of my own?"

"We have a really great family Lucy." He assures me. I see a house buried in the mountains. I also see many pair of golden eyes. There are two very stunning blondes and one gorgeous darken skinned woman all standing together and waving. Off the side was dark male who was smiling rays of sunshine. He was looking so aristocratic and refined with his hands in his pockets. I swear in that profile he looked like my father.

"I used to be the new kid, I could give you some pointers." Garret muses. I notice our eyes are the same and I think we will get along so great. And just like that my new adventure began.

End part 2

Three years Later

The school bell rang. And I was just finishing up some paper work. Since moving to Denali I perused more school work, but I decided to be a consular instead. My chances of harboring supernatural children was low when all I had to do is listen to fix problems. Of course that didn't mean I didn't love my job just as much. I often received letters from my old students in America, who now were graduating. Some things never changed. I still wore jewelry everywhere I went. I still drove the same car. I still thought it cool to wear glasses much to Tanya's chagrin. She thought it was like wearing stripes and plaid, but Garret and Kate found it completely necessary to tease me about it. I packed up and locked my office. I usually stay after, but I had a very special surprise waiting for me at home.

Over the past three years something interesting happened. I meet my match when it came to Alistar. It seemed like his reading and my enhancing got us nowhere. Once I swear it felt like I was the able to read abilities and he was the one making it better. He thinks our powers are so similar that we overlap, but I could not ever be so sure. Alistar became much more of a father figure to me than anything. Because he actually reminded me so much of my own father. We could spend hours talking. And Carmen was the same. I never had a mother figure, but from the way Esme treated me I was all too happy to feel that way myself. Carmen taught me Spanish and since I already knew French I picked it right away. I was happy here in Denali.

But the best part was now Nessie and I were fully fledged cousins now. I keep in touch with everyone, but today.

To celebrate Nessie's first graduation, an early graduation partially due to her growth and partly due to her grades, she and her family was spending a week here.

I had drove home quickly and I was somewhat shocked to see how tall she got. She was now a grown women at the tender age of 10. But she looked 18 now. Her ringlets dipping past her back. But her scent never changed. The rest of the family was inside and I could hear them welcoming me home. I didn't smell Jake, but I am sure I'd see him soon sadly. As he promised just to set me on edge.

Yohan had never come back. And I asked Alice to check on him often. It was just the same old regret. He tries to find me sometimes in Washington, but one faithful encounter with Emmett sent him packing for Russia. I was not mad at Emmett. And truthfully I still loved him. But this family love was a lot more meaningful.

Nessie grins and tells me to hurry up.

And I know that the smell of roseblood will be a part of me forever.

The End.
