Through The Darkness ch. 6
Naruto's P.O.V.
I'm so angry right now. I'm angry with myself because that bastard Orochimaru had raped Sasuke and attempted to do it again. It was only a stroke of luck that I managed to show up in time. Who knows what would have happened if I didn't come when I did. It explains why Sasuke has been so cold to me lately. It looks like Hinata was right but I wish that she wasn't.
I want to be there for Sasuke but I don't want push him too much. I want to show him that everyone isn't like that bastard that hurt him but I can only help him so much. He has to be willing to let me in and show him how much I care. I walk home to find Hinata on the couch, looking at a textbook in her lap. It looks like she's studying but I'm not too sure.
I quietly closes the door behind, not wanting to disturb her. I walk into the kitchen to making me something to eat when the phone in the living started ringing. Hinata picks it up while I boil myself some water for my instant ramen. I hear talking with someone on the phone but I'm not too sure of who it is. It doesn't seem to matter since the conversion doesn't seem to last too long.
Hinata walks into the kitchen with a piece of paper in her hand and a smile on her face. She hands the piece of paper to me and I raise an eyebrow at her.
"What's the paper for?" I asked confused.
"Apparently a scouting agent had shown up to one of your games and is very impressed with your skills. He told me to give you his number so you can him tomorrow around noon. Congrats Nii-san" Hinata said smiling widely.
I looked at the piece of paper with the number and couldn't believe it. A scout is interested in me. I have a good chance reaching my dream of playing pro football. This is my shot and I'm going to take it. I looked at Hinata with a huge grin on my face before engulfing her a huge bear hug.
"I can't believe it! I'm getting scouted!" I said excited.
"I know. You're on your way, Naruto. You're so close" Hinata said proudly.
She knows how much I wanted. I've been saying that I was going to play in the NFL and it looks like all of my hard work is paying off. I hear the door open then close. It's my mother with Kyuubi carrying grocery bag. I get the rest of the bags and bring them in.
"Mom, you won't believe it" I said happily.
"What's going on?" She asked curious.
"A scouting agent had talked earlier to tell me that he wants me to call him tomorrow. He thinks I have talent" I said unable to contain my excitement.
"That's amazing Naruto-kun but I don't want you to be disappointed if it doesn't work out. I'm very proud of you though" She said hugging me.
I know that she wants me to be prepare if it doesn't work out and I know that it might not work me but I know that it will. I have faith that everything will work itself in my favor. I know it will. My mom decided to make dinner with some help from Hinata. I wanted to eat my instant ramen but I know that her cooking is a lot better than any instant ramen.
I pick my mom's home cook ramen anytime, anywhere. A half hour later, I was stuffing my face with ramen that made by a goddess. I love my mom's cooking and Hinata is a pretty good cook as well. Any guy is lucky to have Hinata as his wife but they have to go through me and Kyuubi first. You know what they say about the best way to a guy's heart is through his stomach and it's true.
After I was done eating, I cleaned the dishes and the kitchen so my mom wouldn't have to do it. She works really hard and I want to show her that I care. If I get scouted than before long, I'll be playing in NFL so I can take care of her instead of it being the other way around.
"Hinata-chan, how's Akira-kun?"
Who the hell is Akira? He is a friend of Hinata's or is he more than a friend. Why didn't Hinata tell me about Akira? What is he? What does he do? Does he have a job or goes to school? What does he want from my little sister? Who the hell is this guy?
"He's okay but I'm not sure if I want to go with him" Hinata said shrugging.
This guy asked MY sister? Does he know that he has to have my permission to take out my sister? I'm the man in this family and all Hinata's boyfriends have to go through me first to get to Hinata. She's the only sister that I have and I want to make sure that whoever she's with is good guy who's doing something with his life. Hinata doesn't need to be with some bum to mooch off of her. I walk into the living room in a huff.
"Who the heck is Akira? Why is he taking you out? Why haven't met him?" I asked frowning.
"Naruto-kun, calm -kun is a friend from school and he had asked me out earlier today. I was going to introduce him to you before my date" Hinata said trying to me calm down.
" Okay, what is he majoring in?" I asked curious.
"He's majoring Graphic Design and he's really good. He's working in his family's Pet Shop. Naruto-kun, you have nothing to worry about. I'll be fine and I know to handle myself, you and Kyuubi made sure of that" She said smiling at me.
"I know that we did. I can't help worry abiut you. You're my only baby sister and I want to make sure that no one takes advantage of you" I said sighing.
"I know and I appreciate but I'm 21 years old. I'm old enough to protect myself but I will always be your sister" Hinata said hugging me.
I hug her back and kiss her on the top of her head. I know that Hinata take care of herself and I need to learn how to let go. It's gonna be hard but I know that I can do it.
