Through The Darkness ch. 11
Naruto's P.O.V.
I was excited about today. Today is my date with Sasuke-kun and I wanted to make perfect for him. I am slowly working my way in his heart and getting him to open to me. I was wearing a white tank top with an orange collared shirt over, blue jeans and white sneakers. I have my keys and my wallet in my pockets so I'm ready to go but for some reason, I couldn't make past the front door of my room. What if I screw up? What if I say something stupid and ruin everything? I don't want to undo everything I accomplished with Sasuke. I really like him and want to get to know him better. What do I do? Suddenly it hit me…literally. The door of my room hits me dead in the face causing me to fall on my butt. Why does this stuff happen to me? What the hell did I do? I look up to see that it's Hinata with her head peeking through the door.
"Naruto-nii, why are you on the floor?" Hinata asked confused.
"Because you hit me in the face with the door" I said frowning.
"Why were you standing so close to the door?" She asked raising an eyebrow.
"Did you want something or did you come here to torment me?" I asked glaring at her.
"Yes, I wanted to ask you if it was okay to use your extra tickets for Six Flags?" Hinata asked poking her finger together.
"Sure but why?" I asked curious.
"Well, I wanted to take Akira-kun with me cause he never been to an amusement park before," Hinata said blushing. Silence filled the room as Hinata looks at me, waiting for my answer. I stared at her for a moment before busting out laughing. Hinata glares a little at me but I couldn't help it. What 21 year old has never been to an amusement park? Kyuubi and I have been going to them since we were little kids and we love them. What the hell is wrong with this kid? He's too old not to have gone to an amusement park. I was rolling on the floor busting a gut for a least good 15 minutes before I finally calmed down.
"I'm sorry Hinata-chan but what the heck is wrong with your friend? He's 21 years old and never been to an amusement park?!" I said catching my breath.
"His parents are really conservative people and think amusement parks are bad," Hinata said defensively.
"Even so, he could've snuck into one when he was in high school" I said, shrugging my shoulders.
"Akira respects his parents and he would never do that kind of thing," Hinata said frowning.
"Wow, he really is a goody two-shoes" I said shaking my head.
"So can I use your tickets or not?" Hinata asked annoyed with this conversion.
"Sure" I said getting up from the floor. I looked through my dresser for a little bit before I finally found them. I gave them to Hinata who smiles up at me and gives a me a peck on the cheek.
"Thank you, Naruto-nii," Hinata squealed, walking away. I shook my head a little bit as I smiled. I'm glad that Kyuubi wasn't here because he would've given me a hard time about getting taken out by a door. I walked out of the room and out of the apartment. I have a date that I need to pick up. I am grateful to Hinata for distracting from being so nervous. I don't need to be because everything will be okay and we'll have fun.
I arrive at Sasuke's place and knocked on the door. It was opened the blue guy from the other day and he looks a lot bigger than I remembered. "You must the dobe that Sasuke-kun was making out with yesterday. Come on in and I'm Kisame by the way," he said grinning. I walked in and followed Kisame into the living room. We sat down on the couch as I waited for Sasuke to come out. Silence had filled the room and I was beginning to feel uncomfortable, trying to fill the silence with something. I never did do well with silence since I'm a talkative person.
"Sasuke-kun! Your date is here and he's rambling out here" Kisame said laughing. I blushed brightly since Kisame had to call me on it. It didn't help that he was laughing at me too. How does Sasuke deal with him? Sasuke finally comes out and my mouth drops. He brunette walks out in blue skinny jeans that hugged his ass perfectly, a form-fitting black shirt that shows off his abs, white sweatbands, and black sneakers. I couldn't believe my eyes as I look at my date. He looks smoking and he smirks at my reaction that tells me that he knows it.
"You can close your mouth, dobe" Sasuke said smirking. I close my mouth and swallows.
"Are you ever gonna call me by my actual name?" I asked pouting.
"No dobe," Sasuke stated bluntly. This guy I swear will be the death of me. We walked out the front door with Kisame saying something perverted under his breath. I opened the door of the car for my date who says that he can open the door for himself. I get into the car and drive off. Sasuke bugged me the whole ride to tell him where we were going but I was keeping a tight lip. I wanted to surprise him and it annoyed him that he doesn't know where we were going. I liked having something over him and he's really cute when he pouted. I chuckled a little to myself as we pulled up into a parking a lot. "Dobe, where are we?" Sasuke asked annoyed with my silence.
"You'll see soon enough" I said grinning. He followed me into the building and Sasuke was surprised to see that we were in a bowling alley.
"Bowling? That's your big surprise?" He asked not impressed.
"Yea, bowling is fun," I said putting my hands on my hips. We went to get our shoes. I got a size 12 and Sasuke got a size 10 before we grabbed an empty lane. I typed our names into the machine with me going first. I got an orange ball and Sasuke grabbed a dark blue. I let out a breath as I lined myself up and rolled my down the lane, knocking down 8 pins. I go again, missing the last 2 pins. I returned to my seat with a pout on my lips and I rolled my eyes at his smirk. Sasuke was next and getting a strike on his first try. He smirks triumphantly as I rolled my eyes again. I went again and getting a spare.
We get through the game with it ending in a tie. It got really competitive between us considering we were somewhat evenly matched. We go through another two more games with each winning one game but overall I won 2 out of 3. Every now and then, I came here with my friends and sometimes Kyuubi so I had some practice, although he was a natural at it. I decided not to rub in my win and looked at Sasuke. I think he had fun since he was smiling for most of it. We decided to go Johnny Rockets to eat which was nearby and has good food. I ordered a bacon cheddar single with fries and a chocolate shake and Sasuke ordered a Philly cheese steak, chili cheese fries and a Coke.
"So are you having fun?" I asked taking a bite of my burger.
"It's been awhile since I had fun…so thank you," he nodded, smiling genuinely. Happiness swelled inside of me. This is a first time that he actually smiled at me like that and I want to keep that smile on his face. "So how's practice coming along?" Sasuke asked eating a fry.
"So far so good but I'm a little sore from all the training that Anko-sensei is giving but it's nothing that I can't handle," I said smiling.
"Just don't overdo it, dobe" Sasuke said as he was eating. I smiled as I shake my head. One of these days, I'm gonna get Sasuke to say my name even if it kills me. We continue to eat, having a good time. I picked up the tab with some protest from Sasuke but I wasn't gonna let him pay for anything. I covered the tab and leaving a decent tip for the waiter. I dropped Sasuke at home and walked him to his front door. "I had a good time. Thank you, Naruto" Sasuke said looking at me.
"Did you just-. You said my name!" I said, grinning widely.
"Don't make a big deal out it, dobe" Sasuke said rolling his eyes. I sighed a little but leaned in a little, kissing Sasuke on the lips. He kisses me back and I grabbed his hips as I tried to deepen the kiss but Sasuke stops me.
"One step at a time, dobe," he told me, smiling a little.
"Right, one step at a time. Good night Sasuke," I said smiling. He nods before going inside.
