Chapter 3- Growing Up and Tartarus

Seven years later...(The triplets are 13, Sophey is 12, Alex is 9, Kylee is 14, Damien and Ferrell are 8, Baron is 11, Kyle is 10, Nico and Will are married, and have an adopted two year old daughter named Bianca. Frank, Hazel, Marcus (15) and Reed (14) are visiting.)

Adella's POV
THWONG! The arrow hit straight on... The outside of the target.
"Ugh!" I groaned and nearly snapped my bow in half. I hate archery.
"Hey, you're doing good." Complimented Chiron. I looked at him like, what are you, just another crazy horse man? He laughed. "Why don't you take a break?" He suggested.
As I walked along the cabins towards my dad's, I debated whether to stay in the Athena or Poseidon cabin. I finally decided on Poseidon when someone called my name.
"Hey, Della!" Yelled Sage. I sighed and turned to face my brother.
"Sage! Don't call me Della! Either Adella or Addie."
"Sheesh, sorry. So, anyways, Reed is here." I felt my face turn hot.
"Reed... Here?" I asked.
"Yeah, he's up on the hi-" Sage didn't get to finish his sentence. I sprinted towards the figures on Half-Blood Hill.
"Reed!" I screamed and lept into his waiting arms.
"Hey, Addie." He said, squeezing me tightly.
"Gods, I missed you." I said.
"I missed you too." Reed kissed the top of my head. Slowly, we leaned in...
"No." Said my dad. He yanked me away from Reed and out of his hug.
"Dad!" Okay, I'll admit. I whined. Reed shrugged it off, but I could see the blush in his bronze skin. I bet I blushed even worse.
Luke's POV
I watched Adella sprint up the hill towards her boyfriend, Reed. I almost laughed when dad pulled her away so that they couldn't kiss. Just then, Sophey jogged past, dagger strapped to her side. I caught my breath. She looked amazing. She found a way to make denim shorts and a Camp Half-Blood tee look hot. I almost called her name. Almost.
Sophey had wood brown eyes like her dad, but her hair was carmel like her mom's. She had sharp features, and was skinny yet lean.
I stood and walked over to the arena to practice. I found Sage and Baron dueling. They were an even match.
"Hello Luke!" Called Sage, who parried Baron's attack and swung towards his left side. Baron dodged easily and feinted to the right, then struck towards Sage's foot.
"Ow!" Yelled Sage and jumped up, holding in foot in pain. He dropped his sword in the process. Baron dove down, picking up the sword.
"Haha, loser," he laughed.
"Rematch!" yelled Sage, snatching his sword back.
Baron shrugged. "Sorry man, but no." Sage stamped his foot angrily. I laughed at him.
"Luke, you little-" Sage launched into a string of curses.
And my mom walked in at the perfect time.
"Sage Perseus Jackson!" she screeched.
"Ohhhhhh..." I fought back a smile.
"You're in trouble..." said Baron.
Mom grabbed Sage by the back of his shirt and pulled him to face her. "Sage..." she said threatningly.
"Sorry Mom." Sage muttered.
"Don't say sorry to me! How about your brother?"
Sage turned to me. "Sorry Luke."
Adella's POV
Today was a great day. I spent the rest of the day with Reed, and I could almost feel Kylee's jealous stares.
I really don't know what happened between us. When we were little, we were rarely seen apart. Now, we stay as far away as possible from each other.
I think it started on Kylee's 11th birthday. She seemed... different. Suddenly she wasn't the sweet, innocent soul she was before. I remember how we prank-called boys and Kylee flirted with them nonstop. Now that she's fourteen, she isn't the pretty little do-gooder, she's the drop dead gorgeous, steal-your-boyfriend girl.
Ever since me and Reed started dating, she's been more jealous then anyone I've ever seen. Except maybe Luke, who still refuses that Sophey has a boyfriend. Of course she does! Her and Issac have been together for 5 months now.
I kinda miss the old Kylee. We had so much fun! But now she prefers her other friends, most of which are her aunts. And I'm okay. I've made new friends, like Sophey and Fiona, and I'm fine.
Alex's POV
"Give it back!" I screamed, chasing after that little jerk. "Baron!"
"Gonna have to catch me!" he yelled back, laughing. I increased my speed and tackled him, snatching the doll out of his hand. I popped up and ran towards the Hephaestus cabin.
"Hi daddy!" I say as I walk in the door. I stick the doll in the pocket of the apron I currently tie around my waist.
"Sup Squirt?" he asks, patting a stool beside him for me to sit on. I climb on the stool and look at the piece of machinery in his hands.
"Nothing really. Is that a Omega Phone chip?"
"You bet it is, Squirt. I'm going to perfect it soon."
"But dad, there's a circut out of place."
Daddy examined the chip, searching for the imperfection. "Here," I say, and take the chip out of his hand. I take the tweezers and carefully place the wire in the proper spot. "got it!" I hold up the chip.
Daddy plucks the chip from my hand and looks it over. "Great job, Squirt." He ruffles my hair, slathering it in machine grease.
"Ew, daddy." I say, laughing.
"Sorry," he mutters, and laughs with me.
Mommy walks through the door. "How's it going, kids?" She calls daddy kid sometimes.
"Alex is a big help." Daddy says, and he laughs. I like Daddy's laugh. It sounds like a million bells ringing, so I love to make him laugh. It makes me feel like I'm flying among the soft clouds.
Mommy smiles at me. My mommy is pretty. She has long carmel hair that's really soft. It looks like a waterfall of carmel. Her skin shines like polished glass, and her eyes are like the sky. She has thick eyelashes that frame her sky eyes, and her smile is prettier than a whole world of pretty.
Thalia's POV
I walked to camp, hoping that my assistant, Alice, can handle the hunters. After all, I promised Nico I'd come see little Bianca a long time ago, and never got around to it.
"Auntie Thalia!" I heard and looked for the source of the call. I saw Sage running towards me, arms outstretched.
I smiled at the sight of my favorite "nephew." Of course, I wasn't supposed to say that aloud, but I can have a personal opinion, can't I?
"Sage!" I let him leap into my arms and I lifted him off the ground, hugging him tightly. I swear, this kid is light for thirteen.
"Why are you here?" Sage asked.
"I'm here to see Bianca."
"She pulls hair. It hurts."
I laughed. "Maybe you should trim that mane of yours."
He shook his head. "I'm alright."
I laughed at the mini Percy. But by the gods, Sage looked so much like Annabeth. I know I shouldn't, but I found it strange that Kelp Head and sweet little Annie got married and had kids. It just didn't feel right.
That's when Sage screamed. I turned, and saw a giant hellhound. My breathing quickened.
"Go get help!" I shoved Sage behind me, and I'm pretty sure he ran back down the hill.
I notched an arrow in my bow and let it fly. It hit the hellhound in the eye.
"Hey!" A voice called. The hellhound collapsed, and a boy walked away from the corpse. He glared at me, approaching with a dagger drawn and... Holy Hephaestus...
"Luke?" The boy had the same sandy hair, tanned skin, and muscular body. By the gods, I'd forgotten how hot he was. Wait, what am I thinking? Gods, I'm an idiot.
"I'm not Luke. My name is Ryan." He held his head high.
The way he held his head irked me. I notched a second arrow, pointing it at him. "I am Thalia. What is your business?" Okay, that sounded weird.
"I'm here because I heard it was safe. I am a son of Tartarus. Thus the hellhound that you so viciously killed."
I think he said more, but my head was spinning. Son of... Tartarus? Holy Hera...
Ryan flinched, and I turned to see why. Percy and his entire family were the first ones up the hill, others following.
"Hey Pinecone Face." Percy greeted. I rolled my eyes.
"Luke?" Annabeth's reaction to the boy was the same as mine.
"For the last time, I'm not Luke!" The boy yelled. "I am Ryan, and if I am not guaranteed the safety I was told I'd have, you will all be demolished!" His eyes flashed with anger.
Adella came up from behind Annabeth. "Why didn't you say that before?" She walked over to the boy. He took a step forward, and it was then I noticed his limp. Adella took his arm, swinging it over her shoulder to help him.
Everyone cleared a path, letting the two walk to the infirmary. I stared in awe, and glanced over at Percy, who seemed equally surprised.
What were we getting into by letting the son of Tartarus into camp?
Well, let's just say all Tartarus broke loose.
