Weeks ended up going by before Kagome came out of the house and every one gave her the space she needed. "Hey!" She smiled coming into Sesshomaru's office. He wanted to choose the right words but none seemed to present themselves so he simply nodded his head. "It's alright," She smiled sitting on the edge of his desk. "I'm fine now. My pity party is over." She sighed.

"Are you sure?" He closed his lap top and stood to look her in the eye. "Cause you don't look fine. You look like your ready to break."

"I am." She could only get out a broken whisper but she didn't break down in tears so it was a step. When she looked up at him she noticed the lack of space between them, but when she tried to get a read on him she was interrupted by his computer.

"Just a minute." Must have been important for him to have to look immediately.

"I should get going any way. You're a busy man." She left him to his lap top. Despite what others may have thought she hadn't been just crying her eyes out for the past few weeks. Though that was what she wanted to do, she needed a break every once in awhile. So she did what every good mobster would do for a distraction, research on her enemy. She knew that she needed to get to her father but her only means of doing so was through Sesshomaru and Inuyasha.

She had uploaded all of the content she took from his computer but he was really good at covering his tracks. All she found was his contact list mostly, legal documents, his address book, a shipping and receiving tracker, and to her surprise-legitimate business contracts. He must have conducted most of his business over the phone because his email box was pretty dry, except for some one with NYPD. Which was just who had sent the last email.

They know what happened but not who was involved. As For the other files on him; none have been found.

You should talk to her and see what she knows.

Sesshomaru's response: Where were you while we were at the warehouse?

NYPDOffice response:Dealing with the other guys.

Kagome figured that Sesshomaru had some of the police officers on his payroll, but from this conversation he was emailing Inuyasha. She wondered why he would be asking where he was, something didn't add up. Her thinking was interrupted with a knock at the door. "I was just in your office." She squinted as Sesshomaru stood outside.

"Let's go see Sota."

"What?" Kagome was taken back. She thought last time would be the only time she had to see him until she found her father.

"After everything that has happened I thought you could use some time to relax."

"You do have a heart." Kagome smiled.

"Are we going or not?" He sighed irritatingly.

"Alright, let me get a jacket."

He had only planned on spending a few hours over there but it turned into a day. Every time he tired to leave he couldn't bring him self to separate the two. It had been three months since he brought her, during that time she had changed without him even knowing. He couldn't tell if everything had broken her or made her stronger, but he did know she wouldn't stop at anything to find her father. All of this sacrifice was for her brother who had no idea what she was giving up for him. Sesshomaru couldn't imagine some one being that important to him, that he would get so deep into something like this just to roll over and take a bullet. She was truly going to die for her brother.

"Well Sesshomaru and I should get going." Kagome smiled.

"Aw do you have to?" Sota jumped down off the couch.

"Yes we have things to take care of some things."

"But-"

"Hey." Sota looked up at Sesshomaru's stern features.

"Alright." Kagome looked between the two in aw, but with a smile.

"Smooth." She said walking down to the car.

"What?"

"The way you handled Sota." She laughed.

He stopped and leaned against his car. "It was nothing."

"Are you okay?" Kagome gasped, she had forgot all about his knee. "Oh, I'm sorry I should have kept you out all day."

"We should get home, it late." He held open her door letting her slide in.
