Hiccup looked intently at First.

Both their lances at the ready.

Solstice and Toothless flew as fast as they could.

All four had the intent of winning.

They began to approach their target.

20 yards.

10 yards.

A Stormcutter soared in at the last second and lanced the ring before either of the two could knab it. Valka laughed as she placed the ring on her part of the score-board.

"Haha, better luck next time, boys."

Hiccup shook his head and then looked at First, who shrugged, and then continued on with the competition.

This is Berk. The home of one of the greatest creations in world history: The Dragon Rider Games.

Vikings and Romans cheered as the three dragons circled around for another lap.

A way for Vikings, Romans, and any one in the world to put their differences away for a few weeks and engage in friendly competition. But Berk is more than that.

A Roman merchant closed a deal with a Chinese customer as the dragons passed overhead. A Viking coughed up some of his ale as an African told him a hilarious joke.

It's a place where people can live their lives away from the dangers of a separated world.

Astrid smiled as her husband passed overhead, holding their two young boys. One had a tuft of red hair on the top of his head. The other an auburn patch. Stoick and Remus. Two unusual, yet important, names.

It's a place that the world knows and respects. A place where everyone, people and dragons, are welcome. The people that attempt to rule over the innocent are ruthless and evil. But the people that protect it are caring and forgiving. They may try to destroy us with huge armadas and magic stones, but we have something that they will never be able to take away from us.

The three riders landed and were joined by their friends. Smiles and congratulations spread throughout the group. Valka asked to hold the babies and Astrid allowed. Hiccup looked out at the horizon, where he was sure he saw, in the glint of the sunlight, a line of white spirits smiling back at him.

Each other.
