The car ride to the fair was short. Once both of the kids were out, mike, holding the lunches. His mother told the two of them that she'd be meeting them back here at this spot at around 1PM. They nodded, mike's mom gave them the 'go ahead' they ran off excitedly as she drove off. There seemed to be a brooding feeling in her gut making her paranoid as she kept reassuring herself that everything was fine the whole way back home. Upon entering the house, a huge headache suddenly hit her and she saw a flash of something. It was like a millisecond visual of something coming back to haunt her. Mike getting the belt from his father, mal appeared soon after which frightened her more. She hit the door and slid down until her knees touched the ground, holding her head tightly. There was something she didn't get though...those weren't HER memories, she recalled being knocked out from a darn hard swing to the head. The thing she saw were MIKE'S memories.

"I think I made a horrible mistake letting him go to the fair, with only zoey for company." I want to help him any way I can, but he hasn't told me anything yet...maybe I'm just deluding myself. If it's true then he can tell me on his own, if not...then it's possible that there may just simply be nothing wrong. I can only hope that's it. The stressed woman got up and brushed herself off but also started mumbling to herself and kept trying to say that everything's alright.

"Mike, you wanna go on the ferris wheel?" Zoey asked excitedly. Mike had been hoping that being with zoey would take his mind off his troubles but they repeatedly showed up whenever he passed a mirror or reflective metals, even puddles he saw close by near the sewer grates.

"Is something wrong?" This snapped mike out of his daze to look at zoey, her face was expressing concern, he always felt guilty for worrying other people.

"I-it's n-nothing."

"I don't think it's nothing, dear boy." Both zoey and mike turned around to find where the voice came from to find a gypsy woman, she had a few vials with bubbling liquids of all sorts of different colors, old animal bones decorated the rim of her stand like a curtain. She made the gesture with her hand that had many beads going along her arms for the two to come over to her stand.

"I can tell you're very troubled, young man. That trouble is looming over you in foreboding." Mike stayed silent, forgetting that zoey was beside him focused intently on the woman's words. Zoey was a bit confused but went along with it anyway, it seemed this was something important to mike and she didn't want to ruin it.

"I know exactly what potions you need, I'll give them free. They can help your situation though it may take a while to work. It WILL be of use." The wrinkled old woman carefully put the vials into a bag, she handed it to him. Mike didn't know what to think of it but it was free and he could just say some people were giving away some sodas and their stand had an odd theme. As they walked away, zoey's face looked concerned while mike looked down at the bag but with a suspicious expression instead. He was curious of the items but also couldn't help cringe in fear of what they could do. The woman's expression was very serious, it almost scared him at how intimidating she looked. Mike's mom had given him a watch to alert them of then time is up and they should return to the front. He checked his watch, they had a good amount of time left so Mike took up zoey's idea and they head to the ferris wheel.

This is the shortest chapter I have ever written, I'm aware. I had road block and so I decided I didn't want anyone to wait a month maybe 'till the next chapter.
