Stay with Laura: A Carmilla Oneshot

Betty's POV

After ep 35

"Will you stay with Laura?" LaFontaine asked me. Laura? Oh, the short girl on the bed.

"Uh, sure." I nodded.

"Thanks, man. I'd stay, but my head's not liking the idea." She, they, said.

"No problem. I heard this was my dorm anyway." I laughed. They left with another red head to go get some sleep. I was alone with Laura. We looked at each other.

"Hey, Betty. There's some food in the fridge." She waved the corner near where I was when we recorded the video.

"Thanks." I dug through the cans of soda and junk to find a sketchy half sandwich. I couldn't tell what it was made of. Sighing, I tossed it and ate some chocolate I didn't want right now.

"Sorry. We can go get something later." The blond girl noticed my sigh.

"Ok. So, we were room mates?" I asked.

"Yeah. I only knew the infected you, the party-er. LaF told you, right?" She asked.

"Yeah. That's kinda gross." I made a face.

"Mmm." She nodded.

"Laur, can we get dinner now?" My stomache growled.

"What? Yeah." She took me to the cafetria and I got several plates of food. She got one plate. We sat a table for two. We ate and went back to our(?) dorm.

"I'm sorry for what happened." I said.

"It's alright. Should I call you Betty or Elizabeth?" She asked.

"Uh, whichever you want. What do you want to do?" I shuffled on my feet.

"Can we watch a movie?" Laur sat on her bed again.

"Sure." I got her laptop and she chose a movie for us. It wasn't until half through it, I heard sniffling. I turned to find Laur trying not to cry. I paused the movie and got her tissues.

"Thanks. I just miss Carmilla. She was your replacement." She blew into the tissue.

"I know." I hadn't known, but I felt like it was bad thing to say.

"Carmilla was so brave. She saved me. After I was dumb enough not to wait for her. It's not fair!" She yelled, her nose running.

"No, no. You did the right thing. Here." I held out the box.

"She's dead! It won't feel right if she's not here." Laur's face was red.

"Do you want a hug?" I asked. She thought before nodding and fell into my shoulder, still crying. We stayed like that for while. After that, we both were tried. She had me share her bed. I was a guest and not allowed on the floor. I think she didn't want anyone on Carmilla's bed. I woke up alone. With a note.

Dear Betty, Thank you for staying with me last night. But I couldn't stay in the dorm. I went to Perry's to sleep. Laura

Someone opened the door. I sat up. It was LaFontaine, "Have you heard from Laura?"

"She said she went to sleep at Perry's." I showed her the note.

"Danny, the tall girl, said she saw Laura leave campus." LaFontaine hissed.
