A/N Final Chapter. I hope you have enjoyed this story. I want to thank all the kind reviewers.
Now enjoy!

The yellow sun shined brightly and radiated warmth down on the attendees of the beautiful wedding ceremony. The beautiful brunette bride smiled as her new husband placed a kiss on her pink lips.

Ginger beamed with joy watching her two dear friends make their commitment to one another. The redhead stood in her lovely peach colored silk gown. Peach because Mary Ann said it brought out the redness in her hair plus the style was amazing on her. It was low cut in the front and back and molded to her figure perfectly. The very figure Ginger was proud to have gotten back after having giving birth to her son.
Of course the Professor assured her she looked like a gorgeous angel. No matter what her size, he adored her. He was rewarded with a passionate kiss and then more kisses and then…well anyway Ginger was pleased with his declaration.

The young newlyweds walked back up the aisle together with bright smiles across their faces. Gilligan whispered to Mary Ann she was the prettiest bride in the world to which the farm girl kissed his cheek.

Everyone had then gathered around in the backyard where tables were set up with endless amounts of food. Ginger and Mrs. Howell took charge of that. Well sort of. They found the top rated caterers in the state they had to get by Gilligan. He turned down dozens saying their food wasn't as good a Mary Ann's. It took weeks before Mrs. Howell finally found one that could make the down home food Gilligan enjoyed. While he still believed no one could match his love's pies, Millie Woodward's bake shop came pretty close.
Yes they had a stunning three tiered cake but Gilligan wanted pie too. He couldn't help it. He liked pie. That is when Mrs. Woodward presented him with samples of her pies and he almost ordered them all until Mary Ann informed him they can't have all pies. He settled on coconut cream and banana cream.

The young couple began their dance to I Only Have Eyes For You. They both thought it was fitting as they did only have eyes for each other. The gossip of Connie Pearson had finally been put to a stop. She was fired from her position at the newspaper. The paper had been bought by new owners and a new editor was hired. An editor who by no means did not wish to have the type of garbage spewed in the entertainment section that Ms. Pearson put forth. The readers of the paper wrote in saying how relieved they were that Connie could no longer trash Ginger. The former columnist managed to get a job in a publishing company proof reading such literature like food allergies. It was not exciting to say the least and she was not happy but it paid her bills so she was stuck. No other paper wished to hire her. Not even the tabloids.

As for Ted Anderson his position at The Acting Bug was terminated. The founder was not too happy when the article he published turned out to be nothing but libels. He reamed at Mr. Anderson saying that they could have been easily sued by Ginger or the Professor. And how lucky he was that Mr. Howell didn't bring down the house on them.
Ted was hired by a local paper to write the obits. That was all he could swing. Like Connie he was not thrilled but he had to take what he could get.

Ginger's movie The Storm was receiving critical acclaim and a lot of buzz about the Academy Awards. Madeline Ireland who played Victoria was rumored to be a huge consideration for the Lead Actress award. Everyone adored her portrayal. The actor who played Billy aka the Gilligan character was also being named as a possible nominee for a supporting actor role. In fact Amber, who played Sandy the Mary Ann role, was talked about for the supporting actress. The entire cast was amazing. Everyone was in agreement.

And speaking of movies Ginger's other movie Jane was also being talked about. Especially Ginger. It was said she could be a nominee for the Lead Actress award. How amazing would that be? Ginger nominated and Madeline nominated? Both competing against each other. The two women thought it would be pretty comical and both said they would be happy for the other. And they meant it. The two movies were incredible and the redhead starlet would be thrilled that the character she created was worthy of being considered for such an award.

Mary Ann and Gilligan finished their dance with a sweet kiss. Then Mary Ann asked the song be played again because it was her day and if she wanted to dance with Gilligan twice she would do so. The guests thought it was sweet and a few remarked jokingly that she hung around a certain redhead too long.

Right now Ginger had her husband up against a beautiful oak tree kissing his lips passionately. Their son was being doted on by his many grandmothers. Will, as he was called, seemed to be enjoying the attention. He was a sweet little boy who looked just like Roy. Or at least that's what Ginger insisted. Will's eyes were just like his father. The Professor pointed out they were not blue they were more of an aqua green color but Ginger would not hear of it.

The starlet broke the kiss and smiled at her husband who caught his breath.
"I love you darling." Ginger said in her breathy voice.

Before the Professor could say one syllable, the actress' lips were crushed against his once more. His arms went around her holding her close. He was not going to fight it. Why should he? This gorgeous woman loved him and absolutely enjoyed showing it. The kiss broke once more and he gently touched her cheek. "I love you too my beautiful starlet. What do you say we rejoin the others? I think that…"

His sentence was cut off by yet another kiss. Ginger then finally let go of him and led him back to the reception. They joined the others in dancing to a beautiful love song.
Her eyes scanned the crowd and saw her sister dancing with a certain blonde sea captain.
The redhead smiled knowing how much time Jessica was spending with the Skipper. They were terrific friends and Ginger thought it was wonderful as she thought Skipper was a dear sweet man.

Jessica smiled at her date for the wedding. "This is so nice isn't it?" She said. "Mary Ann and Gilligan married."

"It is." He replied. "Never thought I would see the day. Gilligan stated over and over that he was never ever getting married. No way. Not going to happen."

Jessica laughed. "I guess Mary Ann blew that out of the water."

"She sure did." He smiled looking at the young married couple.

Jonas himself was astonished at the turn of events of his own life. He recalled what had happened at the hospital the day Will was born.

"Jessica." He said breaking away. "Jessica what are you…"

The older Grant sister ignored this and kissed him again. He again pushed her away. "I don't this is a good idea…"

"Why not?" The strawberry blonde asked. "You are single. I'm single. I think you are handsome. You think I'm beautiful. Don't think I'm beautiful?"

"Why sure I do but…Jessica this…You can't just…You are feeling down about…"

"I was feeling down." She said sitting up more. "But when you showed up I…I don't know…You were the first man in a long time to treat me right. All others just wanted to get near my sister. I guess I found that nice."

Jessica then stood up. "I understand if you don't want to see me. I just thought…"

Jonas spoke up. "Listen I…I do think you are a great young lady. I do. And I enjoyed spending time with you."

Jessica sighed. "But you are still hung up on my sister aren't you?"

Skipper shook his head. "No actually I'm not. Jess do you really…I mean I…You want to…go out with me?"

"I thought we could at least have dinner or something….see how it goes. I swear I'm not just looking for…I really do like you Jonas."

Well they did have that date and both had a grand time. Jessica even took to helping him on the boat tours. She loved every minute of it. However after time, they decided they were not compatible in the romantic sense. They chemistry just was not there after all but they remained great friends. Jessica always invited him out to a party or get together when she needed a date. He was more than happy to attend with her.

Jessica was introduced to Toby Sterling who ran the agency that Mary Ann worked for. They hit it off and the two saw each other constantly. While he wished he could have been there at the wedding of his favorite client, he was called away out of town. He did send a terrific gift for their wedding. A brand new motorcycle. Just what Gilligan always wanted. The young sailor was thrilled as was Mary Ann. She couldn't wait to ride around with her new husband. Both thanked Toby for his kindness.

The Skipper did not have a steady lady in his life yet but there was a nice woman around his age named Martha who ran a seafood restaurant he frequented. She thought the world of him and repeatedly said she would marry the sea captain in a minute if he would just ask already. He appreciated the attention and the two did go out on a few dates. He did think Martha was a great woman and enjoyed her company. Besides she made the best clam chowder ever. The two were not a serious couple but Jonas was starting to think maybe..just maybe.

Ginger held her husband tightly as they danced to At Last. It was one of Ginger's favorites. She believed the words to the song described her life to perfection. For so long she wanted a love to come along and he finally did. She had Roy Hinkley and her brand new adorable son. Life certainly worked out for her.

Two Years Later

Ginger was in the nursery with Will as he played with the many many toys that were purchased for him by herself and Roy not to mention her parents and Roy's parents. And of course the Howells. And Skipper. Don't forget Mary Ann and Gilligan. She laughed as he hit the plastic red nail into the hole with a plastic brown hammer and said "Ha" while then clapping his hands.

She placed her hand on her stomach where her second child was growing. This time she wanted a daughter. She was starting to feel outnumbered. Between Roy and Will and their new dog who was named Gilligan by the young Hinkley toddler. He pointed to the dog in the pound and said "Gilligan." So Gilligan it was. Or Gilly for short. A wonderful dog Gilly was. A loveable golden retriever who adored Will. He was always excited to see his buddy. Was more than happy to play fetch and chase him around. The real Gilligan loved that the dog was named for him. No one was that surprised that Will chose the name as he took to Gilligan easily. He was his favorite babysitter. The young sailor just had a bond with the two year old like no one else. Gilligan showed him the horses that he and Mary Ann bought on their little farm. He was delighted by them. As he was when Gilligan took him to the zoo and showed them the monkeys and lions.

The Professor and Barbara's business was booming. Everyone loved the Ginger line.
Women everywhere clamored for the scent saying it made them feel just like the glamorous star. At the moment the Professor was working on a new line. He was calling it Siren. Again for Ginger. Barbara thought it was touching he wanted to pattern scents after his wife but thought they should expand. Roy said she could expand all she wanted. He only cared about making fragrances that reminded him of his gorgeous Ginger.

Well Barbara took the challenge and came up with a terrific new scent. It was a light fresh floral fragrance of honeysuckle and a touch of jasmine. She decided to call it Summer Love. Mary Ann was hired to be the model for the line. The farm girl was touched they would think of her. She tried the perfume out on Gilligan. He didn't say anything but the way he yanked her into his arms and kissed her passionately gave her a clue he thought the scent was pretty good.

The scent was a big hit with younger women. They all thought Mary Ann was so pretty. So many bought clothes because they thought they would look as good as she did in them. They could relate to her and wanted to be like her. Some even hoped they could find a cute sailor like Gilligan.

The door to the nursery opened and the Professor walked in. Ginger looked up and smiled. "Hi Darling." She greeted.

He gently pulled her up from the floor. "My love I need to test this perfume." He said holding up a test bottle.

Ginger giggled. "Darling you've been bringing home samples for over a week and spritzing them on me."

"I need to make sure the perfume is just right." He stated.

"You just want an excuse to nuzzle me." Ginger purred at him. "You love nuzzling me. Admit it."

The Professor placed his arms around her. "You love me nuzzling you. Admit that."

"I do." She said bringing her lips to his. "I love you Roy Hinkley."

"I love you Ginger Hinkely." He replied. "Now I need to test this."

He sprayed it on her neck and pulled her to him. His face went into the crook of her neck and Ginger squealed.

"Still keep it behind your ears." The Professor said taking in the scent.

"And elsewhere…." She whispered.

Roy let go and Ginger smiled at him. "Well?"

"Not quite good enough."

"Really?"

"It only made me want to kiss you passionately and hold you tight. Didn't quite make me wish to ravish you completely."

"Professor!" Ginger giggled. "What you said!"

"I'm only human." He said kissing her again.

Seven months later Ginger gave birth to a daughter. A beautiful baby girl who they named Christine Emily Hinkley. The Professor declared she was the spitting image of Ginger and had the personality to match. At first Will was not too thrilled with his baby sister but after while he grew to get used to it. He had stated he wanted a brother and demanded that the next time his parents bring a baby home they better make sure it's a boy.

It was shortly after that Jessica announced she and Toby were engaged. Ginger was thrilled for her sister and threw a huge bridal shower for her. Joan was equally happy for her older daughter. Delighted she made such a good match with such a decent man.

Skipper was happy for his friend telling her she did good and wished her the best.
The Grant sister told the sea captain she valued his friendship and expressed her gratitude towards the way he helped her see she was not hopeless and could find love.

The wedding was a splendid affair and not too long after Jessica was shock to find herself pregnant. She had no idea that could happen. The doctors said it could not…Dr. Schwartz told her they were quite wrong in their diagnosis as she was in fact going to have a baby. She gave birth to a dear boy who she named after his grandfather, Pierce. P.J. is what he was referred to. Pierce was overjoyed by his namesake. He said he was most certainly destined for great things. Ginger spoiled him rotten. She loved her little nephew. Will was pleased that his Aunt Jessie didn't make the mistake of bringing a girl baby home.

Ginger was offered a starring role in a new film. It was a more challenging role. The movie was a drama/thriller. She was playing a tough district attorney looking to bring down a crime lord. The redhead thought it was exciting and looking forward to getting to work. She was also being considered for the lead in a musical production of Cleopatra.
Ginger grinned recalling the last musical version of this she was in. Mrs. Howell thought it was comical and she assured her she would not try to take the role away from her this time.

The Academy Award ceremony came around and her movie The Storm won for Best Picture. While Ginger did not win for Best Actress, she was thrilled for Madeline. The starlet was so proud of her and thought she did a fantastic job. In her speech Madeline said this would not be possible if it wasn't for the talented Ginger Hinkley.

The party after was incredible. Everyone congratulated Ginger saying what a wonderful storyteller she was. Saying she deserved it. The Professor especially thought she was deserving and told her how proud he was of her.

They arrived back home and up to their bedroom. Ginger felt on top of the world.
The Professor put his arms around her from behind. "You happy?"

"Very." She replied with a smile. "I have you. I have our two adorable children. My movie was named Best Picture."

"You should have won for Best Actress." Roy said kissing her neck. "Those academy people are fools."

Ginger giggled. "Darling it's okay. Madeline was sensational and I'm glad she won."

"She won by playing you therefore you should have won." Roy reasoned.

The starlet turned to him. "I love you. I will always love you. And I love that you love me so much."

"I will always love you and only you." He said holding her tight. "You were the best helper on the island. Always always helping me when I needed it. Assisting me in my lab, running tests for me, playing nurse when Gilligan needed fillings. You had a way of calming him. You are the best."

"I loved helping you. It gave me a chance to be with you. And hope that you would try to kiss me."

Roy placed a kiss on her waiting lips and it started to grow more passionate. Ginger was lifted up off the floor and placed down on the bed. Her dress was discarded as was the Professor's clothes. She clung to him tightly as he lavished his love upon her.

Later, she rested her head against his chest basking in his warmth. When they were on the island she almost started to believe that this would never happen. So many times she almost lost hope. Then when the attaché case was found it all changed. Their feelings came out and she was never more happy in her life.
Yes she loved being back in Hollywood and yes while on the island she wanted to get back to Hollywood but at the moment she did not care about Hollywood.
She did not care so much about "getting her name out there" or "impressing big time directors". Ginger Grant aka Ginger Hinkley had something better. She had Professor Roy Hinkley.
