They are finally going to meet up! I updated, at last! Credit to NoNumberInMyUsername for being the 50th reviewer!
To Tom Marvolo Riddle 2, the plot is going to become a bigger deal soon, I won't lie, I have been doing a horrible job with that. Partially due to how rarely I've been writing it, and also just because I've been trying to move it along. Trying to get to the good part of the story.
As for the mother of all slow updates… I got nothing. I'm a horrible person.
Enjoy!

"No!"
Percy jerked out of his half sleeping half not state and sat up straight as his foggy mind tried to piece together what was happening.
Jason was thrashing, the sleeping bag bundled up at his feet as he screamed in his sleep.
Percy scrambled to him and shook his shoulder.
Jason jumped back, his eyes wide, and hit his head on the ground. "No! Stay away from me!"
Percy felt the blood drain from his complexion as Jason's wild orbs settled on his. "Jason, it's me."
Jason didn't respond; he was too busy trying to keep his sobs at bay. But he didn't succeed for very long.
Percy pulled him into his arms and softly rubbed between the trembling shoulders as Jason's face came to rest in the crook of Percy's neck. His breath was warm over Percy's cool skin and he tried to ignore the tingling it was sending down his spine.
"I'm sorry," Jason whispered, his voice soft and breathy. "I-I didn't mean to w-wake you up-"
Percy silenced him and held the crying boy even closer. "Don't apologize."
Jason gasped and Percy ran the hand not wrapped around the other boy's torso over his silky blond hair. Percy couldn't tell how much of the shaking was from the brisk ari and how much was from the terrors of his subconscious.
Percy couldn't even imagine what had driven Jason to a breakdown like this.
"I'm going to be sick," Jason murmured.
Percy shook his head. "No, you're not. Just don't think about it."
Jason's tears had completely soaked through Percy's shirt, but he pretended not to notice.
It only took ten minutes for Jason to calm down. Well, at least to stop sobbing. A tear would roll down his face every few minutes but Percy would softly reach over and wipe it away.
"I can't believe I just broke down like that," the blond whispered across Percy's collarbone. Percy was cradling him and even through his emotional haze he could feel the flock of butterflies dancing inside his stomach.
Percy smiled gently and rubbed over his cheek softly with his thumb. "Don't worry about it. That's what I'm for. Not to mention I've done it to you my fair share of times."
"Not like that-"
"Because I've probably never been through something like that."
"It shouldn't be that big of a-"
"It was about Mr. Connelly, wasn't it?"
Jason's face turned the hue of a cherry.
"Jason, what he did to you-"
"I should have been able to stop him."
Percy frowned as he saw Jason's blue eyes glassing over again. "You were nine. You couldn't have stopped him."
Jason pressed closer to Percy's side and took a deep breath, trying to compose himself.
This was why that happened to him. Because he was weak. Because he cried on people's shoulders instead of taking the pain like a real man and just dealing with it. Because he woke up screaming and crying instead of just breathing and composing himself. Because he let some ex-marine pedophile victimize him instead of fighting back and screaming. But what had he done? He'd stood there, wide eyed and fearful and let that sick son of a bitch touch him-
"Don't."
Jason dared to look up at Percy. "Don't what?"
"Blame yourself. I know that's what you're doing. You're thinking of reasons you should have been able to fight back. Jason, look at me." He placed his hands along either side of the younger male's face. "You didn't do anything to deserve this. You were an innocent kid and some sicko took that from you. You did nothing wrong."
Jason didn't reply, but Percy hoped his words had at least gotten his message acknowledged.
He didn't know what he would do otherwise.

Leo perked up at the sound of screaming.
It wasn't Reyna or Annabeth; they were sleeping directly across from him. But it sounded human.
"Annabeth!" He whisper-yelled.
"Mhm?" She murmured as she dug her palm into her eye, her blond hair sticking in crazy directions from sleeping on the ground. "What is-"
It happened again. Only this time louder. "What is that?" Leo asked.
Annabeth's face drained of all pigment. "It's Percy and Jason. Something's wrong. Pack everything up; I'll get Reyna. They could be in trouble."
Leo began to gather their meager belongings and bundle them up while Annabeth gently shook Reyna's shoulder until the raven haired girl woke up.
"We need to get moving," Annabeth whispered as she gently helped Reyna to her feet, her burns too painful to bother with the in between of sitting up. "How bad is the pain?"
Reyna shook her head and tried to offer a look of reassurance. "I'm fine."
Leo handed her some ambrosia as Annabeth slipped Reyna's not burned arm over her shoulders. Reyna didn't even bother protesting. Besides, she needed all the help she could get. She wouldn't admit it, but her head was swimming and her side felt like multiple knives were lodged there. Acid coated knives.
They started walking through the dark forest; the dense foliage proving to be their only enemy. Reyna held up well, but Annabeth could tell she was in more pain then she was letting on.
By the time a little fire was within sight, Reyna was slumped against Annabeth's side. The only proof she was still alive being the occasional whimper.
"So, how exactly are we doing this?" Leo questioned. "I mean, this is going to be pretty freaking weird if I do say so myself…"
Annabeth hadn't honestly thought about it too much. "Let's just be honest."
Leo looked at her like she was crazy, but she ignored him and walked with purpose toward the small fire, Reyna barely holding up.
A lot of the reason she sped up, was she hoped to let Reyna rest once they reached the make shift camp. She knew it was a matter of minutes before the girl lost the battle with consciousness.
She finally broke into the small clearing and what she came across was most certainly not what she suspected.
Jason's head was resting on Percy's lap as he slept and Percy had covered the both of them with a blanket. His green eyes locked with hers, an animal like challenge dancing behind them.
"Who the hell are you?"
Annabeth was taken aback. She hadn't expected such hostility. But she reminded herself, these two had been on the run for years. They wouldn't take lightly to strangers infringing upon their property.
"My name is Annabeth-"
"How did you find me?" Percy looked more scared now that she was looking him in the eyes. The way his arm curled around the other boy's torso showed he was merely being protective.
"Listen, this is all going to sound crazy, but you have to trust me."
Percy's expression softened. "Your friend. She's hurt."
Annabeth gently got onto her knees and helped Reyna lay flat on the ground as Leo dared to enter the fire light and tend to her. "Yeah. She was burned by a dragon-"
Percy's eyes widened. "Wait, you've seen it too?"
He didn't say it, but she knew what he was really asking about. "No, you aren't crazy. And you aren't the only ones either."
His expression became slightly guarded again. "What do you mean?"
"I know what you can do. You have mysterious powers over water, right? And Jason can control the weather."
Percy didn't even bother hiding his shock. "You're crazy."
"No. I'm a demigod."
"A Demi what now? Is that some kind of super powered Demi Lovato fan or something?"
"More like or something. Get as comfortable as you can. This is going to take a while."

This chapter was way shorter then I wanted it to be, but I wrote all of this in an hour so… Yeah, I'm just glad I got off my lazy butt and updated.
As those of you who follow me know, I've recently started a Glee fic that I've been updating regularly. Don't get jealous; the only reason I'm writing it right now is because I wanted to finish it before the show's season finale. It's stupid, I know, but I really felt the need to do it.
Until that story is completed, I can't guarantee when my updates will be for this, but I am promising this. I AM NOT GIVING UP ON THIS STORY. I AM NEVER GOING TO ABANDON IT. IT WILL BE FINISHED.
Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! I love you guys!
