Hello everyone! I'm back! I'm so sorry it took so long to update. I just had the craziest months. I graduated and now I have to work, how crazy is that for a fangirl such as I am? Anyway, after getting your reviews, I thought I wouldn't leave you like that, so I HAD to update a new chapter to this fiction. Thank you all for your kind reviews and I really hope this gets all your attention and you like it as much.

Pairing: Dean and Clara. Should we call them clarean? Oswinchester? What do you think? I have a thing for ship's names and this one takes over me so badly, I can't help but wanting a name for them!

Disclaimer: Nothing's mine. Thank the BBC and the CW for this beautiful universes we get to explore!

Please keep reviewing and liking my story.

Yours truly,

Malow 333

I could see the gears turning inside of the Doctor's head. It got all so frustrating when it didn't make any sense. We were used to going to different places, but still on the same universe, the same rules applied to everything, there weren't any exceptions, or if there were, the Doctor knew them all. At this point, I even started wondering what in the world could've happened for all of this to happen. Could it be that we were in the United States but in another universe? A very twisted universe? Could it be that everything we think is true is actually wrong? Were we in another universe? But no… that wouldn't make any sense, that was impossible. Even when the Doctor had to put Gallifrey away, he couldn't send it to another universe, he had to create one from scratch to save his people. So this didn't make any sense… In our world, magic didn't exist, demons, monsters, they were only called aliens. The Doctor stood up and started pacing, thinking out loud, exposing theories going from: „a gaz that induced mental collective hallucinations" to „they have to be aliens". But still, it didn't explain the way the witchcraft seemed to work in this world and as he paced, he grew more and more frustrated.

„That is enough, I'm not staying in this mediocre motel room one more minute. Clara, we're going to the Tardis! » He enunciated, readjusting his jacket on his shoulders. "We've got work to do and we need to get at it."

Obviously, I stood up as fast as I could, but the oldest Winchester just stepped in front of me, facing the Doctor and putting up a hand, as if to tell me I wasn't going anywhere.

"Where the hell do you think you're going? You have something to do with all these things happening around here. You're not going anywhere before we resolve this thing and we decide you're free to go."

He kept putting emphasis on the pronouns and his green eyes were threatening the Doctor. I saw the Doctor's face grow dark and serious, as he made a step forward to face Dean practically nose to nose.

"I am a Time Lord, I am over a thousand years old, I can travel through all of time and space, I killed civilizations and entire species. Some of them even called me "the Oncoming Storm" and you think a pair of basic human apes is going to stop me? You'd better think twice."

The Winchester didn't seem scared or impressed, he didn't even tremble a bit to his speech. I knew those speeches of the Doctor, those were created by anger and by fear and by the arrogance he'd gained over the years. I was so scared, seeing the two men stare at each other like that, that I lost focus on what was happening behind me. Once again, I heard a gun and I felt the cold metal against my temple. I heard Sam's voice come from ridiculously high, causing the other two to turn their heads at me while Sam was holding the gun to my temple and grabbing my shoulder to hold me in front of him.

"We don't want to hurt any of you, but if you don't collaborate, you leave us no other choice. You're not doing this alone and we're not either, because none of us has the knowledge." I could hear the tension in his voice and I knew he didn't intend me any wrong. I somehow knew he'd never hurt me.

"We want to work together but if we can't… Then we'll have to get the information somehow. And believe me, whatever you have in mind, we've done worse."

I couldn't see Sam's face and I already knew the Doctor's worry. So I stared into Dean's eyes, trying to understand him, trying to see what he meant and what he was capable of doing. I saw hurt, I saw tiredness, but I also saw resolution. His eyes weren't as cold as he wanted them to be, so I knew he wouldn't make it with pleasure. But the second he talked, I knew he wouldn't hesitate to torture us if he had to. He was serious and I already knew he wouldn't back down from his position. I felt the blood retire from my veins and leave my body cold. I hated that feeling as much as I loved it, the adrenaline and the fear, that's why I had decided to travel with the Doctor. That's why I hated but liked it so much. Because I never knew what the next adventure was going to be like and nothing made me feel so alive as being close to death did.

"Oh, you big boys, won't you just stop jumping at each other's throat? You all look just so stupid! We're all dangerous and we all have big toys, I think we stated that already, haven't we?" I turned my head to face the gun and felt the blood coming to my organs with another rush, as I faced the barrel. "You can take that away from me, ey? Not going anywhere" I put my hand on his to lower the gun. "There, isn't it better? You and the Doctor have at least that in common that you're pretty quick to point at things." I stepped a bit away from Sam to get between the two of them. "The Doctor never thought about leaving you two alone." Yes he did. "He was just saying we should go and get to the Tardis, since we have such a big library in there. We could do some research before acting all irrational." I turned to look at Sam. "Before pointing guns at innocent people's heads for instance!" My eyes seemed pretty mad and it was clear to everyone that I wasn't happy with the situation.

My whole system ran on adrenaline. I was better under stress, I was a much better asset when I was afraid. I got bossy again and I knew how to handle people, as if the teacher in me suddenly took control.

"So now, we're all going to calm down and talk about it. We could even maybe give them a tour of the Tardis, what do you think about it Doctor?"

"Well, I'm not sure it… Why would you step on my foot like that?" His very expressive face looked at me as if I had wounded more than his big toe.

"Because now you're just being impolite to our new friends. We are friends and Sam is right, we need each other. So how about leaving superiority, arrogance and testosterone contests for after we solve this mystery." I went towards the door. "Shall we?"

I could see Sam was trying not to smile at the fact that I had openly turned the whole thing into a joke. And it was. There was a mutual distrust between the Doctor and Dean, as two people who are used to taking the lead and having people listening to them all the time. They both didn't seem to quite grasp the difficulty of the situation at hand and both wanted to take the upper hand, both wanted to lead and show confidence and strength, but it would only do us wrong. Maybe I was bossy, but sometimes someone with a cool head had to take the lead and if none of them were ready to do it, I would have to do it myself. I didn't even have the time to finish my pie and I looked at it with pain in my eyes as I was leaving the room. Sam trailed after me, just shrugging his shoulders at Dean.

"In all fairness, I think she's right." He came out of the motel room with me and I smiled at him. "So, are you always this distrusting when you have to work with other people?"

"I'm not sure you'll like the answer." He laughed a bit, looking at me. He had a cute smile, with dimples on his cheek, and his eyes seemed somewhat more innocent than his brother's. "We've had all kinds of bad to worse experiences, you get used to being the only people you can actually rely on and you deal with it. Don't take it personally, you seem like a decent person, but that doesn't mean anything to us anymore. And this… All you're saying, all we have to deal with, it's a lot more that what we've dealt with in the past. And we've dealt with a lot of stuff." He tried to match my pace just as much as I tried to match his, it was a bit difficult, because we weren't used to walking together. The funniest thing is that it wasn't even a matter as I was walking in the supermarket with Dean. I nodded.

"No I get it, it's not like it's easy for us either." We were at the TARDIS and I just looked at it, caressing it's door. I felt lucky to touch her and I smiled to Sam. "If we can refrain from killing each other this should do. Please don't point that gun at me again, it makes me very nervous." He laughed again and nodded.

"Noted." We looked towards the motel and Dean and the Doctor were walking at a safe distance from each other. I opened the door to the Tardis and let Sam in. I heard some swearing and the Doctor walked in again, and then Dean, and I followed soon after. The two Winchesters were completely struck with what they were seeing.

"Holy crap" Said the oldest Winchester with his rough voice.

"Yeah…" But Sam was as amused as he was impressed. "It's… big…"

"Bigger on the inside, yes" I said at the same time as the Doctor did. It never got old.

"Good old Tardis, all of time and space, you could be anywhere you want, anytime you want. Would you fancy a trip? Oh, I keep forgetting the old girl has us stranded here."

"How… how does this even work?" The younger Winchester was more interested in the science of it all than in the travelling for now. Maybe when this mission would be over, we could take them on a trip to see the stars… How much I missed them now that I was stuck on Earth. While the Doctor took Sam for lengthy explanations, I got closer to Dean, who was still looking everywhere in awe. His eyes shone with curiosity and deep below all of those layers, there was still a boy who wanted to be amazed.

"Pretty impressive, isn't it?" I spoke first, with a smile.

"Yeah… Yeah, it's… I've never seen something like it. What else is there?"

"Well there's the kitchen, the library with the pool, rooms, toilets of course, and plenty of other things, like a storage. We also have a garage."

"A pool in the library?" That caught his attention and he looked at me with his green eyes, puzzled.

"Don't ask about that, you'll never get a good answer. But it's there and since the Tardis has a mind on its own, she just goes and changes the room, so the method to always find your way in here is to get out of the console room praying to get to the room you want to see… It's not always accurate, but you have no other choice."

He chuckled and it was a gorgeous sound. I could imagine him picking up girls just by chuckling and showing his smile. He had the type, the one of the guy who picks up girls easily in bars to leave them alone in a bed the morning after. Just the right amount of testosterone.

"So you travel in this, through all of space and time? Where are you from, really?" He screwed his eyes into mine, curious and sincere to get to know me and one again I thought how easy it must be to get girls to like Dean Winchester.

"England, 2014, I'm an English teacher."

"Kansas, 2010, I've been a hunter for as long as I can remember and not once I believed in aliens. Not even while we were all talking. But now, it's here. It's impossible to deny it again, isn't it? He's an alien and you are a proper little lady from the future." He gave a tired laugh and continued, before I could even react to the fact that he called me little. "Dammit, is there an end to the things we can discover? I swear, I feel like the list of threads to human beings is endless."

I crossed my arms and walked a bit closer.

"If it makes you feel any better, there are aliens who don't want to harm humanity." I smiled at him. "Maybe they even help without you noticing it. You're not as alone in this fight as you think, Dean."

He wasn't expecting that reaction, and I could see he wanted to say something but he couldn't find the words. The Doctor interrupted the moment.

"We're going to the library, we have to do some research, maybe it's happened before."

"Yeah, we should." But somehow, Dean and I were still looking at each other until the last moment. That moment seemed to break the ice, just like the pie, but this was deeper. Once again, I had the feeling that the shred of humanity in the oldest Winchester was a lot bigger than he showed. But I knew the trick.

We walked towards the library and the Americans seemed amazed at the amount of books at display. I couldn't blame them. It took a while to get used to the grandeur of the place. "So, where should we begin?" I asked. The Doctor just strode past all of us.

"Let's begin with the supernatural section… If there's anything, it should be here."

So we went there, all of us, stuck between the numerous books and shelves, burying our heads in them, trying to figure out what had happened to all of us. But after a while, a siren interrupted our more or less focused reading. It was loud and lights started flickering. I ran to the Doctor, covering my ears.

"Doctor, what's going on?!"

"That is a disturbance… This is a disturbance in the fabric of the universe! It's not possible!" But then we heard a louder noise, like an explosion, and we all rushed to the door to find out what had happened. We saw a thick smoke, 2 streets from where we were, and we all ran to it, as fast as we could. It could be our only chance to know what was happening in this town.
