Key2DestNE: Hey everyone, Key2DestNE here! Now this is a bit of a shorter kind of one-shot than I did for A Brother's Recital, but just like that story, it's meant for a friend of mine. It's his birthday today, so I hope he likes it- happy birthday, Kori!

Long, long ago… in a far away land called Hyrule… there was a boy.

A boy and a sword…

This sword had special properties- it could split any one person into 4 separate people!

One day, when the land was threatened by the dangerous wind mage Vaati,

the boy had the courage to take the sword and split himself in four.

Prepared for any battle, the four boys headed off through Hyrule,

in order to stop the wind mage and save the land.

This…. is not one of those stories.

All was quiet in Hyrule's famous Kokiri Forest. The birds chirped, the bees buzzed… yes, it qas quite the peaceful place. That is… until a boy's scream rocked the woods, silencing everything else. "BLUUUUUUE!" Green Link, one of the four heroes of Hyrule, stood in the middle of a clearing, soaked to the bone as he glared at one of his counterparts.

Blue Link was howling with laughter, ignoring Green's glare as he pounded the ground weakly. "Wahahahaha! O-oh man… you… you really fell for it! It's the oldest trick in the book, and you fell for it! Ahahahahaha!"

Green twitched, clenching his fist, before another of his counterparts rested their hand on his shoulder and he glanced back to see Purple Link, or Vio Link, shaking his head. "It isn't worth it, Green." Vio said, shrugging. "He'll stop laughing eventually, and your clothes will dry- for now, just ignore him."

Green sighed, turning and walking off. "Fine- but I'm going to go set up camp!"

Red Link, the last of the quadruplet heroes, blinked curiously, tilting his head. "...I don't get it- why was that funny, Blue?"

Vio sighed, rolling his eyes and pulling out a book. He began to read it while he responded with another shrug. "Blue is quite the hotheaded boy, Red- so of course he would find a childish prank like that to be funny."

Blue froze at that before he glared at Vio, quickly standing up. "H-hey! It was not childish, it was better than anything you could come up with!"

Vio nodded, his eyes flicking up to meet Blue's before he looked back at the page. "Of course it is. After all, I don't try to pull childish pranks on myself."

"Why you…!" Blue growled, pulling out his sword and pointing it at Vio. "Say that again, I dare you! Come on- try talking so tough now!"

"..." Vio sighed, putting down his book and looking up at Blue. "You always do seem to get into trouble…" he muttered to himself, before pulling out his sword. "Fine- if you want me to overpower you again so much, you'll get what you wished for."

Blue huffed, taking the first move and slashing towards Vio. "Haaaaah!" And with that, the swordfight began… and ended when he slammed his foot into the boy in purple's foot.

Vio's eyes bugged out, and he began cursing up a storm, clutching his foot in pain. "OW OW OW!" He fell over, still cursing loudly. " $%*&^$)#!"

"Heh- I gotcha!" Blue smirked, placing his sword at Vio's neck. "Look at who isn't so tough now, huh?"

Red blinked, watching the whole thing curiously. "Uh… Blue, isn't that cheating?"

"Oh please!" Blue scoffed, rolling his eyes. "He wasn't hurt that badly- besides, it isn't as if Vaati wouldn't use any advantage he had against us!"

Vio growled as the pain began to fade away, and he sat up, glaring at the boy in blue. "...Bluuuuue….!"

The boy in question froze, glancing back at Vio nervously. "Oh boy…" He quickly began to run, Vio chasing him around and around while Red watched. "WAAAAH!"

Red chuckled, watching the whole thing in amusement. Well, we may be taking a break from saving Hyrule, but this is funnier than anything I've ever seen!
