Hey guys, I'm know I posted this last night but I went back and hated what I wrote. Reupated it again, please take a look and leave a review!

The Next Morning

Ethan's eyes fluttered opened, light barely invading them as he took in the silence of the room. He couldn't hear any voices, any sounds, nothing at all. He looked out the plexiglass window of Shepard's cabin, London in the distance as the sun began to rise steadily over the cityscape. He turned his head slowly, noticing that Shepard was still asleep. Ethan watched as the green wave like ripple moved through Shepard's body. Their legs were lightly intertwined with one another, Shepard's arm draped around his waist. He slowly moved his body to where he was now facing Shepard, making sure he didn't wake the Commander up from his long needed sleep. He smiled as he raised a hand ever so slightly and brushed his fingers across Shepard's cheek. Ethan closed his eyes as he continued to run his fingers over Shepard's cheek, opening them several minutes later as he felt another hand go on top of his. Shepard's eyes were now open, looking at him fondly.

"Good morning beautiful...how did you sleep?" Shepard asked softly, Ethan just smiling in return as he scooted his body closer before leaning their foreheads together.

"I slept okay, I've...never had anyone to sleep with before. I never dated much back where I'm from, and when I did we never made it to the point of sleeping together." Ethan answered, closing his eyes again as he felt Shepard rub his thumb across his hand.

"I can't believe I leave for the Lunar Base tomorrow. This week went by fast...so much has happened. Three more months, and I'll be a proud member of the Normandy crew." Ethan said, both of them enjoying the silence that enveloped them.

"You already are Ethan, you serve alongside me and everybody else on this ship." Shepard said, Ethan opening his eyes as he looked into Shepard's green eyes.

"What color were your eyes before the change?" Ethan asked.

"I...honestly don't remember. Whenever all organics and synthetics became combined, everyone lost their natural eye color. What were yours?" Shepard asked in reply.

"Brown, they were a dark brown." Ethan said, Shepard smiling as he brushed his hand close to Ethan's eyes.

"I love brown, a very beautiful color." Shepard said softly before leaning in and brushing his lips against Ethan's.

Later That Morning

Ethan adjusted the collar of his shirt as he walked down through one of the halls of the Normandy, watching as a few other crew members passed him by. Ethan looked down as he patted out a few wrinkles in his outfit. Ethan looked up as he went to move forward, only to tumble down to the ground. Ethan felt as his body began to seize, the lights blurring as he saw shadows begin to race around him. He could feel pain inside his head as screams began to echo inside his mind, his body going numb.

"Time's almost up Ethan. The clock is ticking." came Shadow's voice as Ethan felt his head fall to it's side as he felt a pair of arms pick up his body.

"Ethan, just hold on Ethan!" came a familiar voice as Ethan's world began to go dark, the screams of innocent people dying still echoing inside his mind.

Much Later

Ethan's felt his eyes flutter open, a bright light moving about his line of vision before he could hear muffled voices.

"Ethan, can you hear me? Ethan, come on back to us now." came Dr Chakwas voice as his vision finally focused, the woman standing next to him as she moved a flashlight in front of his eyes.

"He's back, get over here Commander." Chakwas said, turning the light off as she put it back into her pocket and began to mark some things down onto her holographic keyboard.

"Welcome back Mr. Morgan, you've been giving us quite a scare the past few weeks." she said, looking back up at Ethan as Shepard came into view.

"What's...going on?" Ethan asked, his voice dry and raspy as he tried to sit up in the bed. He felt a sudden dizziness overtake his brain before falling back down onto the pillow.

"You've been in a coma the past three weeks Mr. Morgan. We found you convulsing in the hall, barely comprehending what was going on around you. We rushed you to the Med-Bay and got you under control as fast as we could. It appears there is no brain damage to worry about or any long term affects." Chakwas said as Ethan's eyes went wide, sitting up despite the dizziness as he looked over at Shepard.

"Three weeks!? I missed the departure date for the Lunar Base!" Ethan said, trying to detach a few of the wires in his arms before he felt a pair of hands grab his and take them gently.

"Ethan, relax. Admiral Hackett put you on medical leave, you've been cleared for your absence. Chakwas says if your vitals remain strong through the night, we can have you shipped to Lunar Base by tomorrow afternoon. Just relax for now...your safe." Shepard said, slwoly laying Ethan back down as the younger of the two just nodded his head in return.

"Far from it actually, not until we figure out what's causing his body to act this way. If Ethan were in his old body, the one he came into this universe in, I'd say that it wasn't accustomed to our way of life. Except we discarded of his old body once it's nervous system was disconnected and it practically died. I'd go as far to say that your new body isn't accustom to our synthetic DNA, but we cloned it with the synthetics imbedded into the genetics. It wouldn't reject something it saw as naturally occurring, the only thing I can think of that is remotely possible right now is stress. The Commander has told me that you've been doing your best to get use to this new life, I know that has a lot of stress of it's own but is there anything else we need to know Ethan?" Chakwas said, walking up to the bed once more as she looked down at Ethan with caring and honest eyes.

"I...I can't tell you." Ethan said, looking between Shepard and Chakwas before turning his head to the side to avoid their stares.

"Ethan...tell us. You know you can trust me with anything." Shepard said, gripping onto Ethan's hand and squeezing it lightly.

"When I came through the portal from my world into this one and passed out, I woke up in this dream like realm. It was suppose to be the state between life and death, and I just kinda hovered there. There was this entity, it called itself Shadow. It told me that it's job was to ferry souls from the worlds of the living and into the world of the dead. He didn't tell me much, except that my life would change and to try and accept the changes. Whenever I woke up back on Sur-Kesh, I barely remembered everything that happened. Here lately though, I've been hearing it again. I can hear Shadow, and I have these visions. It says that something's coming, something big and something it says we aren't prepared for. I don't know what to believe anymore Shepard, I'm so confused and scared. All of this responsibility has been placed on me and I don't know what to do. Losing my family and being brought into this world was one thing, I could handle that, barely but I could still handle it. These visions though, it's all too much and I don't know what to make of it." Ethan said, tears beginning to form at the edge of his eyes.

"Ethan, never doubt yourself. Your not alone...you don't have to bear the burden of anything by yourself. You've got your friends, the Normandy, and me...we are in this thing together. As far as the visions...I believe you. Back when I first joined the Alliance I would've called you crazy, but look at what kind of life I've lived myself. I believe anything is possibly, no matter what. Right before the Reapers attacked before the beginning of the Reaper War...I went before the Council and told them of what I'd found out about the Reapers. It was just based off of knowledge and speculation, something I'd been told and visions of my own. The Reapers were nothing more than a myth at that time, and they turned me away and said it was just superstition. We lost a lot of good people because of that, and if what you say is true, then we can't let the same mistake happen. Tomorrow we will go before the Council and tell them what you've been experiencing, we will make them listen. Just never doubt yourself Ethan...you've got me at your side all the way." Shepard whispered, reaching up and brushing his hand through Ethan's hair as Ethan smiled at him. He leaned into the touch, the tears subsiding as he nodded his head and closed his eyes.

So, review on the updated chapter.
