Thanks for sticking with me :)

I edited the last chapter a bit yesterday (fixed some typos and added a few words here and there).

I'll probably edit this chapter later also.

Soft music echoed soothingly around in Holly and Chloe's flat. Holly was getting ready for the Rocket's sponsor Puma's, party at the Toronto Plaza hotel. Holly had been primping herself for a while now and Chloe had been keeping her company in her room.

"Do you need a lift? I could drive you." Chloe offered. "With your beautiful car. Still can't believe you drive a Mustang." She sighed in jealousy. "A badass Mustang."

"I do love my car." Holly said dreamily. "And you're not driving it. Gail's coming to pick me up." She added smiling.

"So she's your date? Duh. Of course she is." Chloe rattled mainly by herself, while Holly shimmied into her little black dress. "I dodged a bullet, when I didn't get the invite, you know. No need to get a dress. Or a date! Less stress!"

"A date? Like that would have been hard. I've seen the way you and Dov have been eyeing each other." Holly smirked.

"We have not!" Chloe gasped.

"Right." Holly scoffed slipping her feet in black heels.

"We have not." Chloe repeated narrowing her eyes slightly. Sure there had been.. some eye contact with their assistant coach, but that was all. Nothing to talk about really. "Dov's cute, but that's it."

"Whatever." The keeper shrugged with a unconvinced grin. "Zip me up, please?" She turned her back to Chloe.

"Sure." Chloe sighed a little and tugged the zipper on Holly's black dress up. "There. So.. What will you be doing there? At the sponsor party?"

"Representing the Rockets. You know.. Mingling with Puma's people plus some fans who've won a ticket to attend the party. Signing posters, smiling for photos and that sort of thing, I guess."

"Sounds fun." Chloe grimaced. "Hope you get to dance and drink too. Have some real fun."

"I hope so too." Holly husked, before clearing her throat.

"Uh huh.. I said dance. Not bump 'n grind with Peck." Chloe teased poking her friend on the side making the brunette squirm.

"Nothing wrong with some.. grinding." Holly threw over her shoulder, before going to the bathroom to finish her makeup.

"Oo, nasty." Chloe sing-songed after Holly.

.

In her desperation to impress Holly, Gail had resorted to getting help from her mother to pick out a dress for tonight. That had been a torturous experience. Elaine Peck was known for her fashion sense and she had of course managed to pick a nice dress for her daughter. Only the part where Gail had been forced to actually go shopping with her mother had been horrible. Trying on different dresses and shoes for forever, while trying to not start barking at her nosy mother or the hovering salespersons. But that was all behind now and Gail was all dressed up and letting Traci do her make-up.

"Your mother did good. Beautiful dress. Dark blue really suites you." Traci said, while she put eyeliner on Gail. "So how is Elaine? What did she say, when you told her about tonight? About Holly?"

"Mom is fine. And I didn't."

"Didn't what?"

"Tell about Holly."

"Gail! You should tell her. She's gonna find out anyway." Traci berated with a stern look.

"Well.. She knows there's someone. She was very adamant in wanting to know who, but I wouldn't budge. I wanna spare Holly for a little while longer."

"Elaine's gonna find out. And she's gonna go meet holly behind your back, if you don't introduce her to your parents soon."

"She wouldn't."

"She wouldn't? She did it to me!" Traci groaned remembering Mrs. Peck's impromptu visit at her apartment after Steve had been deflecting all questions about the woman in his life. "She woke me up from dead sleep at 7.30! I probably looked like a zombie.."

"I remember.. Not so funny now." Gail swallowed alarmed. "Shit."

"Shit indeed. Just tell your parents and promise to bring Holly for dinner."

"Right.." Gail sighed. "But I don't want to.."

"All finished." Traci declared straightening her back. "You look gorgeous. If I say so myself." She grinned.

Gail got up and checked herself in the mirror. "Thanks Trace. I look.."

"Hot. And Holly's gonna keel over, when she sees you." Traci winked.

"Hope so." Gail snickered happily. "So, um.. Is Steven coming with you?"

"No. I'm flying solo tonight. He's at work."

"Oh. Sorry." Gail shrugged, while opening the box laying on the side table in her flat.

"What is this? The prom?" Traci snorted seeing the corsage in Gail's hand.

"No, but.. Though I never went.. So I thought.. Is it too much? Weird?" The blond face fell a little.

"Calm down. I'm sorry. Really. It's beautiful. Holly will love it." Traci soothed quickly. "The car is waiting. Let's go."

"You're not coming with me." Gail met Traci's surprised eyes.

"What?" Traci huffed. "But you hired a limo and everything."

"Yes for.. me and Holly." The blond said enunciating clearly.

"But.."

"The thing is.. I wanna smooch in the back seat! Heavy kissing and groping happening, so you're out!"

"Well, when you put it like that.." Traci trailed off fishing her phone out of her purse. "I'll call a cab. See you there."

.

"Holly!" Chloe yelled with her nose and palms pressed against the window. "Come here!"

"Jeez.. Inside voices Chloe." Holly came strutting out of the bathroom.

"Uh huh.. Your date is here." Chloe pointed down to the street. "With her limousine." She added with a flourish of her hand.

"What? A limousine?" Holly came to the window and saw Gail getting out of the white car. "Holy shit.." The brunette breathed as her eyes took in the svelte blond in a gorgeous blue dress.

"Holly.." Chloe scolded smirking. "Language."

"She's so gorgeous.." Holly licked her lips unconsciously.

"Oh, the car you mean?" Chloe teased. "It is a pretty sweet ride."

"Shut up." Holly said sounding in awe as she gazed down at Gail.

"Stop ogling and go."

"Yeah.." Holly nodded, but made no effort to move. Her eyes kept raking on the blond, who was smoothing the invisible wrinkles out of her dress.

"Like now Holly." Chloe laughed and pushed her friend gently. "Go."

"I'm going." Holly finally met Chloe's eyes. "Now." She grabbed her purse and headed for the door. "Don't wait up."

"Hmph. Like I would." Chloe huffed. "Have fun!" She squealed, before Holly closed the door behind her.

"Thanks, I will."

.

Gail was just pulling the main door of Holly's building open, when Holly came out. Gail was struck speechless as she blatantly ogled Holly from head to toe.

"Hey." Holly whispered smiling, when their eyes finally met.

"Hey." Gail leaned in and reveled in the feeling when Holly's lips softly touched hers. "You look beautiful."

"You look.. gorgeous." Holly repeated her previous statement she'd made to Chloe upstairs. Holly leaned closer looking down at Gail's lips.

"Holly.." Gail breathed.

"Miss Peck?" The driver called out. "We should get going, if we want to get to the venue on time."

"Right." Gail sighed at being interrupted, still wantonly gazing at Holly. "Shall we?" She asked and escorted the brunette to the car.

Holly stepped in with Gail right after her. Holly noted the champagne bottle and the little box resting next to it.

"What's this?" Holly asked pointing to the tray with the glasses and box.

"Something to drink and.. um.." Gail's confidence wavered a little.

"And?" Holly prodded.

"It's just.." Gail sighed. "Nothing." She leaned in giving Holly a little kiss.

"May I?" Holly asked picking up the box.

"Uh.. Okay." Gail nodded hesitantly, hoping Holly wouldn't laugh.

"Honey.. It's beautiful." Holly smiled with twinkling eyes as she eyed the corsage. "Put it on for me?"

"Yeah." Gail grinned happily as she started fiddling with the corsage Holly handed to her. "There." She whispered a moment later keeping her hold on Holly's wrist, caressing the skin with the pad of her thumb.

"Kiss me." Holly tugged Gail closer.

"Like this?" Gail slowly brushed her lips over Holly's.

"Harder than that." Holly murmured.

"I don't want to ruin your make-up." Gail said trying not to succumb to her desire to devour the intoxicating brunette.

"You won't." Holly assured, before pulling Gail to her and latching their lips together.

Gail moaned quietly, when Holly's tongue slipped in her mouth after nipping and licking her lips. "You feel so good.."

The intercom crackled to life making the heated women flinch and groan. "Miss Peck? We are here."

"Crap.." Gail muttered against Holly's lips, before reaching to press the intercom button. "Thanks Mick. Um.. we'll be right out."

"What if.. we just.. be late.. Just a little?" Holly husked with darkened eyes as she pulled the blond back against her. "Or better yet.. Just stay here?" She pushed Gail flat on her back on the wide seat and captured the blond's lips in a searing kiss.

"And not go at all.." Gail murmured huskily, while her hand slowly caressing Holly's thigh disappeared under the brunette's black dress.

"Gail.. Please.." Holly sighed lustfully as Gail started palming her ass gently.

Suddenly a loud knock sounded on the side window. "Miss Peck? Miss Stewart?" The driver called out. "People are waiting."

"Shit!" Gail grumbled pulling her hand away from Holly.

"I guess we have to make an appearance." Holly cleared her throat trying to compose herself.

"Yeah.. Let's get this over with." Gail grumbled.

"So we can get back to more.. pressing business quickly?" Holly smirked.

"Exactly! I like the way you think." Gail praised pecking Holly quickly on the lips, before opening the door.

.

Gail and Holly had been mingling with people at the party and gotten separated at some point. Holly had just gotten rid of a talkative older gentleman and refreshed her drink. She scanned the crowd and scrunched up her face and grunted unhappily, when she saw Gail being cornered by some handsy blond bombshell.

"Don't look like someone just killed your science experiment." A voice behind Holly suddenly said, making the brunette jump a little.

"Chloe?" Holly turned to see her friend dressed to the nine's. "I thought you weren't coming."

"I wasn't, but Traci asked me at the last minute and I thought why not."

"I see you found something to wear." Holly waved her hand in front of the forward. "Where did you find that number?"

"This old thing? I found it at the back of my closet." Chloe smirked.

"Aha. Sure." Holly lifted her eyebrow, until flitting her eyes away from Chloe's.

"So, why do you look like that?" Chloe asked curiously. "You know, all angry and jealous."

"Because.." Holly pointed to the other side of the room, where Gail was trying to put distance between her and the other blond. "Of that." The keeper practically snarled.

"Oh!" Chloe gasped in acknowledgement noting a blond woman obviously hitting on Gail. "Who is that?"

"How the hell should I know.. I haven't got a clue, but she's obviously.. all over my.. All over Gail." Holly hissed.

"Peck can handle it." Chloe waved the thing off.

"No doubt." Holly scoffed grimacing.

"Holls.. Come on. Jealousy doesn't suite you." Chloe scolded gently. "Besides Peck is obviously trying to get away from the blond with the.." She trailed off clearing her throat.

"With the what?" Holly cut in.

"Big tits! Alright!" Chloe huffed. "You can not not see those! I don't think those are even real. Like watermelons aren't they?"

"Enough."

"Right.. Right." Chloe wrapped one hand on Holly's waist and squeezed a little. "Just go there and stake your claim. Gail is nuts about you! So just go there and purr something in her ear and Peck will smile like a goofball and that big titt.. the other one will know, she doesn't have chance."

"But I don't want to seem.. I don't know."

"Jealous? Territorial?" Chloe guessed. "But you are. Gail will love it." She grinned mischievously.

"But I.."

"Just go." Chloe hissed impatiently and pushed Holly forwards.

"Okay.. Just go." Holly muttered to herself as she started to make her way to the two women.

"Hey. I'll be at the buffet." Holly said gently touching Gail's arm once she reached the two blonds. She narrowed her burning eyes at the woman she didn't know, before softening her look and glanced at Gail. "Are you coming? Honey." Holly finished purring the last word as she locked her eyes with Gail.

"Oh.." Gail swallowed with a goofy grin spearing on her face. "Ah.. I'll be right there." She said staring at Holly as the brunette nodded and walked away. "Babe.."

"So? Who was that?" The other woman asked stepping back a little.

"She's my.. date." Gail said. "She's my.." Girlfriend, she added inwardly.

"Date?" The other blond sighed sounding slightly relieved. "So there might be a chance for me to be your date some other time?"

"What?" Gail tore her eyes off Holly's behind and looked at the other blond.

"I said.."

"No, I heard." Gail stopped her. "I'm sorry - I was unclear. There's no chance for you. She's it for me. She is it." She smiled and turned to go after Holly.

.

Gail stacked food on her plate and followed Holly to their table. They sat down to eat. Gail eyed Holly hesitantly, but the brunette wouldn't look at her. Holly had been jealous, Gail had seen it in her eyes. Gail only hoped that Holly didn't think she was interested in any other woman. She wanted Holly. Only Holly.

"Um.. These are good." Gail poked a shrimp ball with her fork. "Especially when you dip it in this sauce."

"Yeah." Holly briefly met Gail's eyes.

"Is something wrong Holly?" Gail asked after a while, when Holly stayed silent as they ate.

"No." Holly took a sip from her glass and let her gaze sweep over the diners.

"Holly." Gail prodded. "What is it?"

"Who was that? That big tittied blond." Holly finally asked.

"I don't know. Nobody." Gail said seriously. "She was nobody Holls."

"That.. woman was all over you. Trying to get her hands on you and.."

"She didn't. I wouldn't have let her get.." Gail sighed. "Holly. I only want your hands on me."

"Really?"

"Yes, really." Gail grabbed a hold of Holly's hand over the table. "Holly, I think we.."

"Hey." Traci appeared at their table with Chloe in tow. "Can we sit here?"

"Well.. Um, sure. Sit." Holly said meeting Gail's gaze.

"Yeah. Sit." The blond gave a small smile.

"So you managed to ditch the buxom blond?" Chloe asked, before filling her mouth with potato puree.

"Chloe!" Holly screeched.

"Calm down, babe." Gail rubbed Holly's arm. "Chloe, I did ditch her and I told Holly here, that I only want her hands on my body."

"Gross! I'm eating!" Chloe grumbled, but smirked soon after. "Good."

.

After eating Holly noticed Oliver waving to her, motioning for the keeper to come to him, Chloe, Jen and a group of people.

"Crap.. My turn to go butter up the sponsor's people." Holly sighed getting up.

"Knock 'em dead, Sweetie." Gail pushed out her cheek waiting for a kiss.

"Easy peasy." Holly smirked and pecked Gail on her cheek.

"Holly was totally jealous." Gail almost squealed to Traci once Holly was out of earshot. "So hot! Soooo hot.. she really didn't want that blond coming on to me. I didn't want that woman to come on to me. I was gonna let her down easy. You know, because I'm quite mellow nowadays and.. Holly's.. I mean, I almost asked her to be my.." Gail rambled grinning.

"Gail. The shoe's on the other foot now." Traci said cutting Gail off. At Gail's confused look, the captain pointed at Holly, who was now standing very close to Jen.

"Shit." Gail snarled, when the other keeper's hand went to rest on the small of Holly's back. Jen was smiling with twinkling eyes. "Fucking Luck! That's not happening. Not happening!"

"Gail! It's nothing!" Traci tried to grab the blond and pull her back on her seat, but missed and watched her friend stomp to Holly and Jen.

"Sorry sister, you're out of Luck – She's with me! My date! Not yours!" Gail spat at Luck grabbing Holly's hand. "Go away."

"Gail! What the hell?" Holly spat, shooting an apologizing gaze at Jen.

"Sorry. Sorry Luck." Gail said indifferently.

"Okay?" Jen looked totally baffled even though she was familiar with the striker's outbursts.

"Sorry." Gail repeated. "Come on." She said to Holly, while tugging her towards the coatroom.

"Gail?" Holly asked, when they went in the coatroom. "What's going on?"

"She was totally flirting with you." Gail hissed. "Touching you."

"She was not." Holly chuckled despite Gail's glare.

"Was too." Gail insisted scowling.

"Real mature Gail." Holly huffed, but couldn't help adding. "Was not."

"Was too!"

"Was n.." Holly stopped herself with an eye roll. "Jen's just friendly."

"Right." Gail scoffed in disbelief. "I don't want her to be.. that friendly with you." The word 'friendly' came out as a sneer. "I don't want her to cling to you like that."

"She was clinging? Ah." Holly looked confused. "Why?"

"Because you're mine.. I mean my date. And.. Um.." Gail stuttered, before sighing and closing her eyes.

"And?" Holly eyed the blond carefully. She knew Gail was about to say something big.

"And.. Well, shit. Enough of this.." Gail got out as she lunged at Holly capturing the brunette's lips in a searing kiss. "You're mine Holly. I.."

"What?"

"I.. mean.. I want you to be mine." Gail whispered. "My.."

"Plus one?"

"Plus one forever." Gail husked against Holly's lips. "My girlfriend, Holly."

"I like the sound of that."

"Me too."

"So my girlfriend.. Let's get our coats and go home?" Holly drawled suggestively.

"Yes." Gail agreed eagerly dragging Holly to fetch their coats.

"We're leaving. Don't come home too soon." Holly whispered to Chloe on their way out.

"What?" Chloe eyed her friend, before noting impatient Gail hovering by the exit. "Oh right."

"I'll be home.. a little later?" Chloe suggested.

"Good. Thanks." Holly pecked Chloe's cheek, before going back to Gail.

"And I guess I have to find some earplugs anyway for nights to come." Chloe smirked watching the two women leave the party trying in vain to keep their hands to themselves.

Thanks for reading :)

A/N Updates will be sporadic for my both unfinished stories for the time being. I write when I can, but lately there never seems to be enough time (due to work and life) to get chapters out any faster / regularly. Sorry. My stories will be finished though! So no need to worry about that!
