Hello lovelies! I thought I'd get one more update in before I go to bed. Next chapter is the last chapter! Bet you're all wondering how it will end, but you'll just have to find out tomorrow when I get this thing finished. X3
Enjoy~
Sasori and Deidara sat silently on their shared bed, neither one speaking after Orochimaru left their apartment. Sasori knew he had to say something. He needed to know how Deidara was feeling, what he was thinking. Every second ticked by slower and slower as the silence engulfed him. "...I did it to protect us." He spoke up, his voice was quiet but sounded loud compared to the quietude of the room.
Deidara stared blankly at the floor, his eyes almost overflowing with fresh tears. "Please quit..." His voice was barely a whisper, any louder and it may have broken. "When you love someone, you have to give both your body and your soul to that person, un. What you told me before..." He snorted bitterly. "They were just excuses."
Sasori remained silent, staring at the blonde with an unreadable expression. Deidara's lip quivered, stuttering as he continued. "E-either you don't love me...or your love for me isn't big enough for you to quit your job for me, un." He slowly raised his gaze to meet the redhead's. "R-right?" He asked, his voice sounded as if it could break at any moment. A single tear slipping from his baby blue eye, rolling down his cheek and falling from his chin to the floor. He didn't even want to know the answer but knew he needed it.
Sasori stared back at Deidara and nodded. "Right." He swallowed a lump forming in his throat and took a deep breath. "I don't believe in love anymore. Orochimaru is right." He started, gently wiping some tears cascading down Deidara's rosey cheeks with his thumb. "Though I love you very much, in my mind I always think that sooner or later this love will evaporate." He gazed sadly at Deidara. "I don't hold such high hopes. I take it one day at a time. That is the reality of gay love, especially for one with an occupation like mine."
Deidara shook his head and looked away, covering his face with his hands and trying hard not to lose it. Sasori scooted closer to Deidara and rubbed his lower back in an attempt to try and sooth his blonde. "If I quit this job for you, and find another one, when we break up, I know I'll just go back to it. So what's the point?"
Deidara moved his hands just enough to lock eyes with Sasori. "I-is everything you're saying now the truth, un?" Sasori nodded solemnly as his answer. Deidara reburied his face in his hands and whimpered, he couldn't help but to lean on Sasori, searching for some sort of comfort from him.
Sasori wrapped his arms around Deidara and closed his eyes, holding the blonde in his arms comfortingly until he began to calm down. He rubbed small circles on Deidara's back and kissed the side of his head. "Please, let's get some sleep, Dei."
Deidara gave a weak nod and crawled into bed with Sasori beside him. He clung to Sasori in a desperate attempt to somehow keep him there with him forever, but he knew that wouldn't work.
Sasori pulled Deidara as close as he could, leaving no space between their bodies. Slowly, both drifted off to sleep in each other's arms, neither wanting to face the reality of their situation.
The next day, both males didn't speak much to each other. Simply spent their day in bed, holding each other and watching old movies. Only when they needed food or a trip to the bathroom did they leave the bed or each other's arms. Both males knew they couldn't go on like this, but neither knew for sure what to do about it.
Later that night, Sasori sighed heavily as he rested his cheek against the top of Deidara's head. He hated that he had to leave again, and he knew Deidara hated it too, but he wasn't going to change his ways anytime soon. "Dei..."
"I know, un." The blonde tightened his hold on Sasori before reluctantly pulling away and giving a weak nod. "Just go."
"Hey." Deidara looked up at Sasori and immediately closed his eyes as a soft pair of lips met his own. He returned the kiss and held it, wanting the moment to last forever before Sasori pulled away slightly. His lips brushed over Deidara's as he whispered. "I really do love you, Deidara." He placed another loving kiss on the younger male's lips before parting again. "I'm sorry." He muttered quietly before getting up and started getting ready to leave.
Deidara's glum baby blue eyes followed Sasori as he got ready, giving Sasori one last kiss before he disappeared into the night. He waited a few minutes after Sasori left before getting up and dressing himself. If Sasori can live as a prostitute, then so can he. He thought as he grabbed his keys and left the apartment.
Sasori stood on the curb leaning on a nearby tree as he waited for a customer to ride up. His chocolate eyes lazily scanned the streets before stopping on a certain blonde walking his way. His eyes widened a fraction and his jaw nearly dropped as he watched Deidara strolling up to him and taking a seat on a bench.
Sasori narrowed his eyes at the younger male and stormed over to him, grabbing his arm. "What are you doing here, brat? And how did you know I was here?"
Deidara ignored the red head's questions, simply looking out to the street and inserting a fresh piece of mint gum into his mouth.
Sasori scowled at the blonde, growling and lowering his voice. "I asked you a question; what the fuck do you think you're doing here?" His question was, again, met with silence. "Deidara. Go. Home." He said slowly, tightening his grip on the younger male's arm.
Deidara hissed at the firm grip on his arm, raising his gaze to meet the irrate red head's. Shooting the older male a sharp glare, he yanked his arm away and stood up. "No. You can't tell me what to do, un."
Sasori raised both brows at the blonde's answer before glaring back at him. "What the hell is wrong with you tonight? Have you lost your damn mind?"
Deidara shrugged and crossed his arms. "Maybe I have, un." He rolled over on one hip and wore a determined look. "I want to work like you."
Sasori gaped at the blonde, staring at him as if he had three heads. "Are you fucking nuts?! Why would you ever want to be a male prostitute? You hate them!"
Deidara stood up straight and took a deep breath. Ignoring Sasori's questions again. "I stopped working at the bookshop, un. I decided to come here to find customers with you instead."
Sasori snapped and slapped Deidara across the cheek, sending him the most venomous glare. Deidara gasped at the slap and held his reddening cheek. The older male continued to glare at his lover as he spoke with a dangerously low voice. "Like hell you are. This isn't a fucking game, Deidara. Get you ass home now before I drag you there by the hair."
Deidara rubbed his cheek and growled, composing himself and shaking his head. "No! If you can do it, so can I, un."
Sasori chewed on the inside of his cheek. "Tch. Stubborn brat." He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed heavily. He really didn't want Deidara getting into prostitution, he knows what it's like and he couldn't bare seeing his lover carry the weight of the job.
Clearly intimidation wasn't working, neither was a slap. Sasori's gaze softened and he rubbed the back of his neck. "Alright, fine. I'll go home with you. We can just talk, okay? Please don't do this, Deidara..." He looked at the blonde with pleading chocolate eyes.
Deidara didn't seem phased at all by his pleading him not to stay. He simply kept the determined look on his face and stood by the curb. "No. I intend to find a customer today, un."
Sasori scowled and groaned in frustration. "Are you trying to piss me off, brat?" He threw his hands up in the air in defeat and backed off. "Fine! If you want to be a prostitute, then do it. Let's see if you're all bark and no bite."
Deidara didn't respond to Sasori and simply flipped his long blonde hair. Crossing his arms and waiting for a customer to ride up. It wasn't long before someone rode up to the blonde on a light pink moped. "Ohh~ Fresh meat! How much?" He asked eagerly, eyeing the blonde. He had an orange swirly helmet and dark hair. His onyx eyes roamed Deidara's body hungerly, clearly interested in him.
Deidara shifted and glanced at Sasori. "How much is okay, un?"
Sasori grunted, looking back at the male and crossing his arms. "It's his first time. Give him one thousand and you can have him."
The brunette rolled his eyes and snorted. "Whatever ladies. You all claim to be first-timers just so you can raise your prices when in actual fact, you're just all moving from one corner to the next. Don't think you can fool Tobi that easily." He huffed. "$500. No more, no less."
Deidara chewed on his bottom lip and silently asked Sasori if that was a fair price to which the redhead simply gave a curt nod. Tobi jumped slightly like an excited child and handed Deidara a silver helmet, scooting to the back of the moped and patting the front seat. "You drive me, please senpai?" He grinned.
Deidara furrowed his brows, glancing between the moped, Tobi and Sasori. Feeling as though his stomach were in knots, but he was there to prove to Sasori that he wasn't bluffing. He nodded and took the helmet, strapping it on before sitting on the moped. He gave Sasori one last glance before driving off with the other man.
Sasori's eyes went wide and he began to panic as his lover drove away with some stranger. "Deidara!" He started chased after them but to no avail. "Deidara, please stop! Don't go! Deidara, please come back..." He stopped shouting and running, panting slightly and watching his lover disappear around a corner.
He tugged at his already messy red hair and let out a frustrated, helpless scream before turning around and shuffling home with his head held low.
Sasori didn't bother turning on the light as he entered the empty apartment, flopping down on the bed and burying his face in his hands. His face twisted into one of pain as his heart felt as though it were breaking in his chest. Is this how Deidara feels when he goes out with customers?
He started panting and his eyes burned with tears, he tried holding them back but failed. This pain he was feeling was so unbearable, he felt as though his heart was being ripped from his chest, he had a massive headache and he felt like he could vomit at any moment. So many emotions were jumbling around at once; anger, sorrow, hate, love, guilt, confusion, worry, and more. He hated these feelings and it made him even worse to think that this is what he's been putting his lover through almost every night.
Sasori rolled over onto his stomach and cried into his pillow. At some point he ran out of tears and energy resulting in him falling asleep. It'd been a long time since he'd cried himself to sleep and an even longer time since he'd felt heartbreak like this.
Now Sassy understands the pain Dei's been going through. Hurts, don't it? Alrighty, welp, I'm off to bed. It's 6:04am and I am so tired. Sorry for any spelling mistakes or whatever, I'll fix 'em later when I'm more awake and actually care.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed! Don't forget to review and have a beautiful day~
