Hearing the request was one thing. Attempting to bring this request to Wizeman's attention was quite the other. The last thing Reala wanted to do was relay to his master that the one thing that could make the new pawn possibly cooperate was the promise to never be able to dream again. It would mean she would, essentially, become useless in all of these secretive plans.

Wizeman was hard to gain an audience with for some time after dealing with the Dreamer's last escape attempt. This was mostly due to the fact that Wizeman now had to deal with potential mortality to what was supposed to be an immortal realm, which meant the Nightmare King had become busy trying to determine the cause of this new weakness and guard against it in future creations. So, for a few weeks Reala had to work the system to try and speak to the Master who had given orders not be disturbed for anything, which worked fine for Reala. The longer this was put off the longer the Dreamer stayed in that cell to think on her position, and the longer Reala had to enjoy not being suffocated by his Master's power just for bringing him bad news.

Reala came to realize that time passed far too quickly when one was relishing NOT giving their master potentially bad news. When he was told Wizeman would finally allow him an audience had to gather his nerves and steel himself for what was to come.

Yet, what was to come wasn't the anger or annoyance he had expected. Instead was something far more frightening. It was amusement. Yet again, wizeman was amused by this little creature. How was it that this Dreamer kept amusing this dangerous being so much without angering him!? It just wasn't fair!

But, Reala had to admit... At least it was better than being shot as the messenger. Reala had to remind himself of this when he heard the dark king chuckle. Much more surprising than the Nightmare King's amusement at the dreamer's condition was the fact that he had accepted under certain terms. Terms that were otherwise non-negotiable.

The Dreamer was to work for a time under Wizeman's rule. She was to serve three years, measured in the time of the Waking, in service to the Master, doing his bidding without question. Orders were to be followed from Wizeman and Reala, which, in a sense, would change the pecking order of the Nightmaren generals. If she did her job well and pleased Wizeman this wouldn't matter too much. She already put quite a bit of fear into a few of them after her performance, especially when word got out about the death of one of the prison guards. And once her sentence was over she'd never have to fear their vengeful wrath when she no longer was in Wizeman's favor.

When the young woman had found out about this she agreed without hesitation and without fear. Apparently the only thing she really seemed to fear were these dreams she was eager to be rid of. Odd considering this entire affair was little more than just one long dream.

Reala knew that somehow he had to find out what was happening with this girl. A Dreamer that never woke, of which Wizeman somehow thought he could keep under his control for three years. A girl that would sell her dreams and nightmares away without a second thought so that her sleep would always remain empty. A soul that would somehow help to bring Wizeman his victory, or so the Nightmare King believed.

Somehow Reala would have find out what these dreams and nightmares were all about if he hoped to gain control over this Dreamer. Maybe then he could finally find his own way out from under Wizeman's thumb and become his own master. After all, even Wizeman seemed to exhibit some signs of fear of the word 'Death'. Perhaps the Nightmare king wasn't as immortal as he had always believed.
